Create settings for a new document

Here is my problem. When you create a new document in illustrator you have several options available in the new document window. You first can choose web/print/film… and then select a size (A4, A3 for the print, for example) in the second menu.
I am trying to make my own setting. Making it appears in the first menu is not hard. Just duplicate one of the predefined files and change the name and it appears in the menu presets. Done. But I didn't find a way of changing the sizes option (where I put the arrow). I cannot find anywhere in the predefined document a way of doing this and to have my own predefined sizes in the second menu instead of the standard A4, A3… sizes. Anyone might know how to achieve this settings ? Thanks

Ignore the section whcih says "Letter" "A4" or whatever. You can't change those headings.
To set your own chosen size, in the boxes which contain width/height dimensions just type in the sizes which you need, and adjust the units if necessary
Then the bit which says "Letter etc" will just say "Custom"

The template is a document in itself, it is not applied to an existing document whether it is a Pages document or a Word document converted to a Pages document.
You would need to either copy and paste content, using existing styles, or apply the styles to the converted Word document.
You can Import the Styles from an existing document and those imported Styles can be used to override the current document's styles:
Menu > Format > Import Styles
The process is simplified if the styles use the same names, otherwise you will need to delete the style you don't want and replace it with the one that you do want when asked, then the substitution is pretty straightforward.

Excise Invoice ( J1IIN ) has been created twice for same billing document in 1 or 2 cases.
How is this possible,if possible what is the config to restrict the same.

I dont think its possible to EI twice wrt: single billing document.
EI created wrt: Invoice which is created wrt: Delivery document. Then there will be only one material document with movement type 601. Through which qty will get updated in Rg1 register.
This document once utilized, cant used again.
re-check billing document, which billing document you are using & their settings in IMG.

Setting english as the default language for a new document with arabic version of CC apps

first off, appologies for the screen name, the name i'm sure i had registered before with account was suppose dot be looged in as was barred, so i used this in frustration. Read the book, The Etymologicon to learn more.
and another note. why is the font size in the subject on this form gigantic? intentional of cockup?
Now, to the point.
Please please enlighten me, I'm sure it's simple but i can't find the answer and have been haphazardly ploughing the net for half the night.
I have installed the Arabic langauge version of CC software becuase i need to do a lot of bilingual layouts.
But
I generally use, and start with english, but the defualt new document is always set to all the arabic settings, which is a nightmare.
How do i make english the defualt type (and all the paragraph and language options) while retaining the functionaility of arabic version.
I've found instructions for CS2-6 but nothing remotely sensible about CC, and presume i'm missing something really really obvious.

please follow the follwing steps relating to new plant in all madual.
Steps needs to be configured
1.New Plant to be created (Copy the new plant from the existing Plant) Configuration
2.Create Plant as Location - Configuration
3.Define Shipping Point- Configuration
4.Transport Planning Point Description to be changed Configuration.
5.Create a new Profit Center Master Data
6.Create a new Cost Center Master Data
7.Cost Center allocation to Shipment Cost OKB9 Configuration
8.Assign Business Area to New Plant Configuration
9.Assign New Plant to Sales Organization & Division - Configuration
10.Update all the GLs related to the new Plant. Default assignment to a Profit Center - 3KEI Configuration
11.Update Table J_1IT030K_V for Indian Tax Account Determination. - Configuration
12.Account Assignment Category VKOA Assign GL Accounts to Sales Org/AcctAssgGr/AcctAsgnmt/Plant/Acct Key Configuration
13.Maintain Excise Registration for New Plant- Configuration
14.Maintain Plant settings for New Plant- Configuration
15.Maintain Excise Group for New Plant- Configuration
16.Define GL Accounts for taxes Configuration
17.Specify GL account for Excise Transaction- Configuration
18.Create all Inbound and Outbound Routes for new Plant Configuration
19. Assign new plant to company code.
Please note that the above steps are for new plant by copying the existing plant and modification. If you define a new plant without copying the existing plant lot of steps are involved.

How to make default settings for a new Finder window ?

Will, i am abit ashamed to ask this question cause it's problaby very basic OSX knowledge.
However, since using 10.0 , i never have find a solution ..
What i want is this:
EVERY new Finder window i open, be it with the keycommand (CMD)+N, or double clicking a Folder a disk icon, has to be shown to me in only 1 way
which i have setup beforehand.
I am talking bout: List view only, with specified columns ("date added" for example etc) in a vast specific order.
For these settings, i open one finder window, setup the "view options" for that window, re-arrange the columns, then do: save as default"
Now, i would say that next time i open a new finder window, (keycommand (CMD)+N, or double clicking a Folder a disk icon), it defaults to the settings i made above.
But nada.
OSX has always intuitive for me but this issue scratches my brains.
Can someone please help ??

Even the order of the columns is retained
However, i wish the (CMD)+J settings would apply for ANY Finder window you open, not just ones that are in the same directory.

My brother used his Verizon Wireless SIM to activate my factory unlocked iphone 5s. Now, I can't access the cellular data network option to change APN settings for my new carrier. Already tried configuration utility and factory resets.

So as the title says, after I got my iPhone 5s from apple, factory unlocked, my brother used his sim card in it for a moment to allow it to be registered and usable on WIFI until I made it to Japan. Now that I have a data SIM card, I have to input specific APN settings, which are located in settings>cellular>cellular data network, however, cellular data network is not available as an option. I have reset the phone multiple times with and without backups and with and without the new sim in the phone. I have also used the configuration utility to try to put the APN settings in the phone. I contacted Apple and they didn't really have an answer as to what i should do. My brother checked his Verizon account and my phone does not show up as one of his devices, so right now I'm stuck with and incredibly expensive iPod. Does anyone have any idea what I can do to remedy this? I am unable to contact Verizon via telephone myself as I have no phone service. Any help would be greatly, greatly appreciated.

You only have to clone your mac when using certain cable modem. You don't clone your mac when using dsl.

Selecting correct settings for a new project

I'm about to start my first project using Elements and the final output for the project will be need to be a H264 or a “WMV” file which which can be uploaded to an FTP site. It will also be displayed in front of a group on a screen (size is 7.5’x10’.)
What is the most optimal project settings I should use when I start the new project? Something in the AVCHD catagory? (Using NTSC).

Yes Premiere Elements has several H.264 options under the AVCHD tab including output at 1080p and 720p with various frame rates. If you only have Photoshop Elements you will be limited to making a wmv file. If you do have Premiere Elements you will get best advice at it’s own forum.

I,m carrying out STO between two plants with in same company code.I have ctreated STO-PO(doc type UB)
When proceed for delivery using VL10B the following error is creeping in:"Document is incomplete: You cannot save the delivery"
The technical data provides the following info
When the system checked whether saving delivery was
permitted, it determined that the requirements stored in
Define Incompletion Procedures for this document do not
allow this subsequent function.
Message number :VU 013
Any body has an idea how to proceed i have already all the settings related SD.

Optimal Settings for my new box

I've put together a new box, and it would be great if you guys could please give me some guidance on the optimal BIOS settings that I can use to make the most of it.
KT6 Delta FISR
2 x Crucial 512 DDR333 PC2700 DIMM
Speeze EEA31B2 Coppereagle Amd Cpu Cooler- Xp3200+ Copper
AMD ATHLON XP2700+ 333MHZ FSB 256Cache CPU - Thoroughbred - OEM
Case Antec Sonata 380 Watt TruPower
2 Seagate Barracuda 7200rpm.
I'm not looking to use this box for games, the case has a 120mm fan as well as psu fan.
What do you reckon will be the best setup?

That crucial RAM should beable to hit 200FSB with longer timings or so.
(I managed to OC some old PC2100 to PC2700 on same timings so its possible)
and IF the cpu can be unlocked from bios, change it to about 10x200 settings.
IF NOT, then try the "pin trick in the socket".
Tbred-B are pretty tough, it'll do it as long as that ram can do 200FSB.
If the RAM dosnt do 200FSB, then get the CPU up a few steps in multipliers, hopefully. Do testing with 3DMark03's CPU benchmark, its very fussy on the CPU stability, so you know it runs stable.
Bios;
Im using PCI latency at 96 and it holds the bus well for fast disk and perfect sound and "wire on fire" LAN transfers.
64 works quite good too, but loses a bit with overall transfers speeds and interuptions.
System Perfomance setting in DRAM Settings - just leave it on Fast (gigabit lan hates the other settings) Bugs???

How do I change settings for opening/saving documents from web?

I have an iMac running OS X 10.5.8 and Firefox 3.6.3. When I try to open a document (pdf) from a website, the dialog box only gives a save option with drop down for location. I'm used to a dialog box with open and save options. Open then offers the app choice of preview, acrobat or whatever. At first I thought it was an out of date operating system or firefox version but that's not it. What do I need to change or reset this to restore the default open or save dialog box? Thank you!

How do I change the settings for signing a document back to the standard settings?

I want to sign documents with an image, but I cannot choose this option. I can only sign with a digital ID.

You can check the about:config page for a capability.principal pref related to that website.
You can open the about:config page via the location bar and do a search for capability.principal via the Filter at the top of the about:config page. 
You can reset a capability.principal capability.principal that is related to that website via the right-click context menu to their default values.
To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website. 
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page. 
*Use the Filter bar at to top of the about:config page to locate a preference more easily.
*Preferences that have been modified show as bold(user set).
*Preferences can be reset to the default or changed via the right-click context menu.

[JS] InDesign Watched Folders? waiting for some new document

Hi Everyone
I wrote a script [JS][InD] which checks folders in search of any files and then process them. It mades PDF files and moves original files to a "processed" folder.
Now I want this script to run in the background by certain periods of time (i.e. 10 seconds) without user interaction. Just like the "Watched folders" function on Acrobat Distiller.
Has anybody some suggestion or solution for this?

It's funny because I tried just right now on my own. As I was looking for help on that topic and then I saw your post :-)
The bad news is that I failed to reach that objective. My thought was to use the startup script folder placing a script that will wait for an amount of time and then check for a folder for specific files.
Alas, it seems that the "waiting" process overides Indesign and then the user can't use its software :-(
I hope someones here as a solution.
