Create User - Rejected

Hi gurus.
please help me.
I did install an OIM version 9.0.1.1 and I am trying to provisioning the user to AD.
but I received the follow error:
ERROR [ACTIVEDIRECTORY] Problem creating object: javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: [LDAP: error code 32 - 0000208D: NameErr: DSID-031001CD, problem 2001 (NO_OBJECT), data 0, best match of: 'DC=testeoraclead, dc=com']; remaining name 'cn=brunomoraes'
Somebody know what´s this problem.
This LDAP error code 32 do not say nothing to me.
Thanks in advance.

Hi
This exception comes if your root context is wrong. Make sure that dc=testeraclead,dc=com is correct one.
I had experienced the same exception and I found that i was trying with root context dc=oim,dc=com while actually it was dc=oim, dc=com. If you observer, there is a difference of one space only but that also matters.

  • Invalid Naming Error while creating user in OIM and provisioning to OID

    Hi,
I am trying to create users in OIM. As per the access policy, the users will directly provisioned to OID. When I am creating users in OIM, its showing provisioning for OID user resource. The create user task is rejected with error as
    "Response: Invalid Naming Error
    Response Description: Naming exception encountered"
If anybody is getting these error, then please suggest a solution.
    Thanks.

    logs ???
Are you provisioning any custom attributes of different object classes . Make sure you include those object classes as well , go to connector documentation for adding the object classes .., may be some configuration look up ....i guess
    Thanks

  • Re-provisioning to RTC for re-created users

Seems that there's a problem with RTC provisioning when re-creating a user with the same name in OID. The only workaround I've found so far is to restart the RTC component with opmnctl. Doing this, there was another problem - restart fails:

I have to use this sequence to sucessfully restart RTC:

Anybody dealing with this or similar issues?
    Thanks a lot.
    Zdenek

    Hello there,
This is what I took as remedy steps:
Created a new versin of the OID form. Checked the prepop adapters are attached properly or not - everything looks good there.
Then I tried doing direct provisioning the OID resource to a user unchecking the auto save on the process defn. Saw and checked the process form values. All the values are prepop'ed perfectly. As soon as you click the last 'Continue' button - the user gets provisioned. If you click 'OID User', it'll only show 2 tasks 'System Validation' and 'Create User' as 'Completed'.
Activated the Access policy on OID User.
Now again tried to create a single user.So now if you click 'OID User', it'll show 2 tasks 'System Validation' as 'Completed' and 'Create User'
as 'Rejected' with the response as 'User Creation Failed' and description as 'Could not create user'.
The logs still show the same error.
I don't know what's exactly wrong with this 'Auto-Save' option? or may be it has to do with the Access policy process form - any info needs to be provided at the time of creating the access policy when we click 'Next' on OID process form?
    Thanks,
    - oidm.

Thank a zillion to both of you...
It was connection problem. Somebody changed my OID's IP address.
Now my users are getting provisioned.
One more doubt how to give points to both of you. I dont know how to give points in this forum.

    Sunny,
I figured out the problem... Wrong configurations. See what I did:
    a) Reviewed the explanation below about the paramater certifierOU of Lotus Notes ITRes, so I set it to empty.
certifierOU Specifies the OU of the certifier to be used when creating user accounts If you use a certifier on the target system, then you must specify the certifier OU value. If
you do not have a certifier on the target system, then leave this parameter field empty.
If there are multiple certifiers on the target system, then you must create one IT resource (of the Lotus Notes IT resource type) for each certifier. Refer to Oracle Identity Manager
Design Console Guide for information about creating IT resources. If you specify a value for the certifierOU parameter, then the user OU value that you specify on the process form is ignored during the creation of a DN for a new user account.
If you do not specify a value for the certifierOU parameter, then the user OU value that you specify on the process form is used in the DN. This feature ensures that only one OU value
    is included in the DN.
If you specify a value for the certifierOU IT resource parameter, then user records for which the certifier OU value in the DN does not match the certifierOU parameter value are not
reconciled. This is because the user DN is used to match records in the target system and Oracle Identity Manager, and a difference in the certifier OU value would lead to a
mismatch in DN values. The following example illustrates this type of scenario:
Suppose a user account on Lotus Notes has the following DN:
    CN=John Doe/OU=testcertou/O=test/C=US
If testcertou has not been assigned as the value of the certifierOU parameter for any of the IT resources created on this Oracle Identity Manager installation, then the records of this
user cannot be reconciled into Oracle Identity Manager.
    Sample value: NY
    b) The MailServer paramater was win2k3base/oimdev and I've changed it to CN=win2k3base/O=oimdev.
    c) As the certifierOU is clear now, so I have to inform the Orgnation Unit field in the process form.
    Thanks.

  • Is there a way to create user logins or some other way to ...

Is there a way to create user logins or some other grouping for a set of applications to use (memory) resources optimally -- for example only mail and Safari and Word in one grouping and another for Safari and an audio recording application, etc.?

It is possible to use Parenal Controls to limit which applications can be used be a particular user account.
But it's not really necessary as far as managing memory.

  • "The CREATE USER statement must be the only statement in the batch" in SQL Azure - why? what to do?

I'm getting an error on a line in the middle of a larger sql script, only in SQL Azure.
IF NOT EXISTS (SELECT * FROM sys.database_principals WHERE name = N'foouser')
CREATE USER [foouser] FOR LOGIN [foouser] WITH DEFAULT_SCHEMA=[dbo]
    GO
Error: "The CREATE USER statement must be the only statement in the batch."
I don't actually understand what 'the only statement in the batch' means.
What is a batch? Is it a SQL file? Is it related to a 'GO' statement or an 'IF' statement? What is the reason for the error? And how do I avoid it?
    Thanks,
    Tim

    >IF...ELSE imposes conditions on the execution of a Transact-SQL statement
I understand the general purpose of an If statement. I could let go of our definition of statement counting disagreeing too except that because of the error I'm stuck.
It's less important for Create User but what I am really puzzled over now is a very similar issue how am I supposed to do a safe version of CREATE LOGIN, when I don't know whether a login has been previously created on the server or whether I
am setting up the database on a clean server?
IF NOT EXISTS (SELECT * FROM sys.server_principals WHERE name = N'foouser')
CREATE LOGIN [foouser] WITH PASSWORD = 'asdfasdf'
    GO
If I try and execute this script, it throws the same error as above.
The first unworkable workaround idea is to omit the if statement
CREATE LOGIN [foouser] WITH PASSWORD = 'asdfasdf'
    GO
But if the login already exists on the server (because a similar script was already run), then the script throws an error.
The second unworkable workaround idea is to do
    DROP LOGIN [foouser]
    GO
CREATE LOGIN [foouser] WITH PASSWORD = 'asdfasdf'
    GO
Obviously this throws an error in the second block if the login doesn't already exist on the server.
The third workaround idea I have is to go conditional by putting an IF condition around DROP instead of CREATE:
Unfortunately that doesn't work for me either!
"The DROP LOGIN statement must be the only statement in the batch"
(This is despite the fact that 'drop login' is listed on the
supported commands page, not the partially supported page..?! Which disagrees with the notes on
    this page.)
Anyway the real question I am interesting in addressing is: is there actually a way to have a 'Create/Delete login
if exists' operation which is SQL-Azure compatible and doesn't throw me error messages (which messes with the sql execution tool I am using)?
If there is no way, I would like to believe it's because it would be a bad idea to do this. But in that case why is it a bad idea?

  • How to create user defined button in alv report

how to create user defined button in alv report
    thnks in advance.

    Hi,
U can define it the the PF-STATUS ( Menu for ALV ).
For that u have to define it in the EVENTCAT.
    form z_eventcat  using    p_i_eventcat type slis_t_event.
      data: i_event type slis_alv_event.
      call function 'REUSE_ALV_EVENTS_GET'
        exporting
          i_list_type     = 0
        importing
          et_events       = p_i_eventcat
        exceptions
          list_type_wrong = 1
          others          = 2.
      if sy-subrc <> 0.
        message id sy-msgid type sy-msgty number sy-msgno
                with sy-msgv1 sy-msgv2 sy-msgv3 sy-msgv4.
      endif.
      clear i_event.
read table p_i_eventcat with key name = slis_ev_top_of_page into
      i_event.
      if sy-subrc = 0.
        move 'TOP_OF_PAGE' to i_event-form.

      if sy-subrc = 0.
        move 'SET_PF_STATUS' to i_event-form.
        append i_event to p_i_eventcat.
      endif.
      clear i_event.
      read table p_i_eventcat into i_event with key name = slis_ev_user_command .
      if sy-subrc = 0.
        move 'USER_COMMAND' to i_event-form.
        append i_event to p_i_eventcat.
      endif.
    And in the DISPLAY
    call function 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY'
       exporting
         i_callback_program                = v_progname
         i_callback_pf_status_set          = 'SET_PF_STATUS'

  • Error while Creating user using Custome form

    Hi,
I created a custom form same as create user form
    updated in xlDefaultAdmin.properties,xlWebAdmin_en_US.properties,struts-config.xml
on this custom every thing is working fine but when on submit(Create User) it gives me below error
in Admin Console : You do not have permissions to perform this operation.
in App server log: maoRejections:You do not have permission to insert this object.

My response is based on the following assumptions:
Your custom form is similar to that of CreateUser form in all manners. The logic at the back-end has been written by you as well. As soon as you get all the values you call the createUser API of OIM to create the user. You have wriiten your custom action classes as well.
The insert error may be due to the reason that the user which you are using to create the user doesn't have sufficient permissions. In other words, if this is done through Java code then while instaniating the API, the user used must be missing these permissions.
If the error is due to this permission for users then we can give these additional permissions to individual users, if in case its not and you have some other scenario then just give me more details, probably I can help you for it.
    Thanks

  • Error While creating User using userservcenter Webservice

    Hi All,
I have generated the java client stub from the um_workflowSaveCreateProfile.wsdl file successfully and I have developed one client code to call the web service to create user in Oracle Internet Directory.
I am invoking one workflow for creation of the user which accepts four attributes (sn, cn, uid, userPassword),it is working fine when sn, cn, uid attributes are mandatory only, but if I make userPassord as mandatory, it is showing me error : Not all of the required parameters for this operation were specified.
I am using the below client Code to call the service:

    Hi,
I guess, create workflow does not accept the password attribute while creating user account.
You have to create the account using createprofile web service then update the password using changeprofile web service.
I think this limitation is strategic, if you have password policies enabled, policies are applied to the container of the accounts.
So OAM needs to have the DN of the user account to check if there are any password policies associated with the container during password updates,
which might not be possible while using createProfile web service.
