Creating a form in Application gives WWV-13003.

Hi,
After renaming a form say FormA to FormB in Application , I am not able to create a new form with the same name that is FormA . I have deleted the form from
wwv_modules$ saying " delete from wwv_modules$ where name like 'formname'; " . After this when I try to create the form
as FormA , it says : Invalid component name , name already exists in the Schema and WWV-13003
Where do I go and delete this form so as to create a new form with the same name.
I am on Portal 3.0.9.8.2 and Database 8.1.7.1.5.
Thanks .
Neeti.

Hi,
How did you rename it ??
Renaming thru the UI shouldn't be a problem.
As per your description ,looks like U are seeing the error even after using the rename option, try and see if the FORM by that name exists in the schema on which the application is based. Can give a search in the database explorer ..Incase it does as per the message, just drop the same..
Thanks,
Anu

  • How do I create a form that will give a report that summarises before and after data on the same graph?

I have a number questions that I want to know the average of all the before and after data to compare them, how do I set this up in a form in FormsCentral?  Here is an example of what I want to do - the green bar is "before" and blue is "after"

This isn't something that you can set up in FormsCentral. It's possible to something similar with a form you create in Acrobat and use with FormsCentral, but there is no sort of built-in graphing control. The bar graph could be implemented with some JavaScript that controls annotations or fields (buttons) and perhaps some text fields.

    Hi Nalani500 ,
Yes, you can print the response in a PDF by following the steps suggested below.
    1) Go to the response file
    2) Select the response you want to print
    3) Click on Save as PDF button and it would save the selected response in PDF format.

  • Can't find the table when creating the form application

    Hi there,
I have created a new table named lp_cschedule under a user named
    lptrain in users tablespace.
I want to create a form application to view this table. However,
I can find this table in the list.
    Don't understand why ? Any idea ?
    Regards,
    Maggie

Perhabs, the application's owner does not have the previleges on
the table you have mentioned. Follows the citation of the Forms
(from tables or views) wizard help:
Tables, views, and synonyms in the application schema where you
have SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, or DELETE privileges.
Tables, views, and synonyms where SELECT has been granted to
    public users.
You automatically have SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, or DELETE
privileges on a table or view if it is owned by an application
schema where you have Edit or higher access privileges.
You can check the owner (=schema) of the application from the
Navigator clicking on the Edit action link against your
    application.

I would like to create a form that gives the user opportunities to provide information on as many as 50 projects. Does Adobe FormsCentral allow for this "expandable" type of form, such that if someone only has 10 projects, they can complete the form as easily as someone with 50 projects. In other words, is there a way to make the form "expandable?"

    Hi Ms Buckner,
Yes, you can do this with the Show/Hide "Skip" logic rules.
    1. Suppose, for example, you have your first ten projects showing by default.
    2. At the end of those fields, you would have a Yes/No question asking if the person wanted to add more projects.
    3. If they answer "No", they move on to the next section/area/question/etc.
    4. If they answer "Yes" you have the form display ten more project fields that you had already included, but you had hidden up to this point.
    5. Repeat steps two, three, and four as often as needed. (It helps that you can copy and paste fields, including groups of questions, so you don't have to manually re-create them each time.)
It means you must anticipate the maximum number of times you want to provide project fields, but you've already done that, and you have to build the form with that maximum number, but only display smaller portions at a time until they have filled in all they need.
    I hope that helps,
    Brian

  • How can I give a co-worker access to create a form?

I have an account under my name with Adobe and would like to give a co-worker access to create a form, how can I do this?

    Hi,
Each user that is creating forms should have their own FormsCentral account. Accounts should not be shared between users. Note that you can share forms between users, so if your co-worker signed up for a free account he/she would be able to access forms that you create.

  • Applications for creating fillable forms

I work for a real estate agent and we need to be able to either create a form or scan an existing one (that we previously hand wrote on) and create fillable fields in this form. I need to be able to e-mail them to the office when they are completed from the property. Nothing complicated, names adresses property details number of bedrooms etc. I have trawled through what must be hundereds of apps and can't find anything that is right for my requirements. Is there anyone who can suggest an app that would be able to do this that works well?

Here is a link comparing the two versions
Plans and pricing: Compare versions | Adobe Acrobat DC
If you're mainly using acrobat for fillable forms and e-signatures, Acrobat DC is by far the better choice. There are many more features for scanning, creating, and formatting fillable forms. You can even "fill out" a form that is not formatted for fillable forms. You simply place a text box, check mark, or signature field anywhere on the page. However, it's important to note that several of the features require you to purchase the program through a subscription pricing model (rather than purchase it outright).
You can try out Acrobat DC and see which version you like best and which version works best for you. Below is a link to the trial version of Acrobat DC.

  • Create PDF fillable job application form for business website

I am trying to create a fillable job application for my company's website.  However, it needs to be a PDF file (that is still editable).  Is there any way to do this on a Mac?  I am a first time Mac user, and so far everything has been super confusing.  I am running Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10.2.
Mainly- do I need to purchase Adobe Pro to accomplish this, or is there another option?  And how do I even begin?

    Adobe Acrobat Pro should work.

  • I want to create a form in IWeb can you help?

I need to create a form page in Iweb on my website for visitors to complete and submit back to me.
    A Club membership application form.
    Anyone able to help??

There are online form sites that you can use like JotForm, Wufoo, etc.  Jotform creates some very nice looking forms which you can embed into an iWeb page.  The free package gives you 100 submissions per month and 10 SSL secure submissions per month.  Over those numbers you will need to pay a monthly fee.
Here are examples of Jotform and Wufoo forms: Embedding Forms
Or you can create your own Form Action form which uses the visitor's own email client to send the information. This is not best integrated method to obtain the information.   An example of this type of form is also on the page linked to above.

I am trying to create a form with an input box, but also want to be able to have a link below it to be able to add another input box on demand. Does anyone know where i can find an example of this, i searched on google but wasn't able to find anything that good.

I tried the following code in a .cfm page and everytime i run it i just get the following error:

  • How 2 calculate time it will take to create a Form

    Hello,
I am an Oracle Forms developer with 4 years of experience in developing applications using Oracle Forms & Reports (i.e. 10g Forms). Now, for the 1st time, I have been assigned to lead a project to build a Guest House Management System. My problem is that I have been asked to prepare a project plan and for that I have to give the time it takes to develop the forms and reports.
Problem is, I have no idea of how long each form and report is going to take. So, my questions to the experts who have lead teams to develop forms applications is, “How do you calculate the time it takes to complete a form and report”? How do you answer this question if you were leading the project (as technical lead) and your PM asked you this question? Do you do “Function Point Analysis”?
Do you have metrics? Like, this type of form will take this amount of time...
Can you share them if possible?
We of course don't have metrics as to times taken to develop past forms (& reports), so in this case, how can we get about getting even a “rough idea” of the time it takes to develop the forms (& reports)?
Problem is, you cannot say a form is low, medium or high in complexity just by looking at the screens since you can have a form with only 2 or 3 items, but has 100s of lines of PL/SQL code, in the form and in the DB (as stored procedures).
We have the System Design Document (SDS) with all the forms designed using MS Visio. So, the exact look of the form will be drawn using MS Visio diagrams. For each form, we also have the processing that should happen for each item, described in English. For example, if a form has a “process” button, we have what the processing should be, in pseudo code style English.
So, how do you get about this?? Are there any guidelines anybody can give us (because there are lots of other Forms developers who are facing this same problem)? Can we assume that it will take a fixed amount of time to create LOVs, alerts, windows, etc.???
What is the biggest problem is finding the time it takes to create a form or report?
    Thanks in advance

There are no hard and fast rules on this and it always depends on factors unique to each project. I can share with you how I would do it, should my boss ask for such an estimate. I assume you already planned for the requirements gathering, design, testing and implementation and here only focus on estimating the  development work of forms/reports.
What is the baseline effort for new programs (forms, reports, stored procedures) ?
Break it down into: simple (2 days), moderate (5 days), and complex (10 days).  Assuming your database is normalized, you can use the number of tables involved as a rough gauge of complexity to help you classify them: simple: 0-3 tables, moderate: 4-9 tables, complex: 10 or more tables. By estimating the number of forms/reports/stored procedures you will need to complete the project you have a baseline estimate. If there are any particularly complex forms/reports, those are costed individually.
How skilled is the development team with the technologies you have to use?
If the team is composed of new developers that is good for an additional 10% to 25% extra effort.
    How reliable are the requirements?
Are the requirements available, documented and approved ? Is there a project scope already defined? Here I am considering the likelihood that significant portions of the system will need redesign / rework due to requirements change. Depending on the answer (and to a certain extent experience and gut feel), I may add 10% to 30% to the estimate.
Some other considerations: In my shop, the practice is to only use the forms programs as the front-end UI and keep complex processing in the database as PL/SQL stored procedures (functions, procedures, packages) rather than embedded into the forms and reports. It will make complex processing logic easier to test and modify. For one thing, not having to resort to using the forms debugger is already a plus.
....and then once somebody in the management stratosphere looks at the effort estimate and decides its too much and cuts it by half and tells you the good news later that he has already committed you to the slashed effort.

Good to know  — there is no such application as "Adobe XI".
"Adobe" is the name of the company.
"XI" is indicative of the use of either Acrobat XI or Reader XI.
Neither Acrobat XI Pro (for which Adobe provides a free, fully functional 30-day trial) nor Adobe Reader XI (the free to download and use PDF viewer that Adobe provides) have  an "Export PDF" entry under "File".
"Export PDF" only is present in Adobe Reader XI over on the right on the "Tools" panel.
The "Tools" panel provides a way for a user of Adobe Reader XI to connect to various By Subscription online services (gotta pay eh).
Export PDF is one of these. A subscription lets you send a PDF file to the online internet service (aka "cloud" service). The service then exports to a supported file format (Word / Excel / ...) and the user selects / directs where the output file is to be saved on the user's local machine.
Of course to use any of the online subscription services one must have an active (paid up in full) subscription to the service.
So ---- As described the puzzle pieces don't fit eh.
What specific Adobe (the company) applications are you using?
Acrobat XI Pro? Adobe Reader XI? Both?
    Be well....
