Creating a formula in standard crystal statement layout

Hi All
I need to create a formula on the SAP Crystal statement layout.
the formula needs to work the number of days that the payment is due.
So its should be the difference between the aging date and DocDueDate on the AR invoice.
however on the layout it does not recognise the PLD fields
DateDiff(d, Cast({PLD__ITEMS.F_35} as DATETIME), Cast({@F_167} as DATETIME))
PLD__ITEMS.F_35 = DocDueDate
@F_167 = Aging Date
Does anyone know how to get around this without doing a subreport?
Thank you
Jerusha

  • How to create formulas in an SQL statement

    Hello,
I am trying to create a formula in an sql statement without creating a external function.
    Here is my example :
    select (x + y) as a,
    (x + y) + 2
    from dual
As you can see the formula “(X + Y)” is repeated.
I would be glad to write a select statement like that :
    select (x + y) as a,
    a + 2
    from dual
    any ideas?
    Thanks

I have a nasty feeling there is in XQuery expressions, but I'm not going there. ;-)

  • Importing Crystal Report layout for customer statements

    Hello,
I have imported a crystal report layout to use for the customer statements when running them from the ageing report.  The problem is even if we only select one business partner in the ageing report, when we print preview the statement it displays statements for all business partners - this is because in the crystal report there are no parameters.  I know that when you import a layout like this for other documents you need to use for example, {ORDR.DocEntry}={DocKey@} as the parameter however the customer statements don't have a docentry.  When I look at the system statement layout (collection layout), when you run the report you get an ADO.NET (XML) connection prompt.  Is it possible to use the crystal layout i have for the customer statements but for only the customer(s) showing on the ageing report?
    Many thanks,
    Kate

So just to make it clear,
you want an overview of open invoices from 1 customer.
If so, try this in crystal reports :
Create a parameter field (field explorer)
    Name : CardName
    Type : String
    Value : Static
do not select a value field (none)
    press ok.
    Select expert
    Create new
    Starts with
    type this : {?CardName}
    press add
Click formula editor and make it look like this :
    {OINV.DocStatus} = "o" and
    {OINV.CardName} startswith {?CardName}

  • How to add/create additional page in Crystal Report Layout SAP B1

    Hi,
I wanna ask about How to add/create additional page in Crystal Report Layout SAP B1 ?
I want when user print Purchase Order then on last page also print some page like Penalty Clause etc.
Pls help me to find the solution.
    Br,
    Thomas Marsetyo

    Hi,
In your report footer, set it to create a new page before it is printed (In 'Section Expert', select the Report Footer -> 'Paging' tab -> Check 'New Page Before' checkbox). Throw your Terms & Conditions into the Report Footer section.
If you already have a Report Footer that you want to keep, just split the footer into two sections (Right-click the Report Footer section -> 'Insert Section Below') and follow the same procedure for the newly created section.

  • Standard Crystal Layout for General Ledger Report, Development Limitations

    Hi Guys,
I have experienced some development limitations in the standard crystal general ledger layout for "General Ledger report" in SAP.
So if we are running standard "General Ledger" report we have a lot of columns but we unable to get these columns in the standard crystal layout because PLD_Items (XML source file) doesn't contain all of them. For example, I need to add a "Project" into existing standard crystal layout and I can't do that.
Do you have guys, any ideas how to change PLD_Items source or it's impossible?
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Thanks,

  • Standard Crystal Layouts

    Hi experts,
In current versions of SAP Business One, new Crystral layouts can be imported and managed through the Report & Layout Manager. However, the PLD standard layouts are integrated into SAP B1 and can be accessed directly from the layout designer without importing them.
So, will SAP offer standard Crystal Layouts like PLD layouts without the need to import them?
    Thank you.
    Nadia.

    Hi Nadia,
always ensure when editing SAP Layouts, that you disable smart linking. You can find this option through the SAP Crystal Reports Menu. FIle => Option => Database => uncheck Smart Linking

  • Converted Crystal Statement Report not showing line level data properly

    Hi all,
We have an issue with a Cystral-converted PLD Customer Statement layout behaving strangely when printing for a customer with multiple pages.
When the statements are printed for a customer that has line level data which fills about an A4 page, this print absolutely fine; customer header data, line data etc. However, when we print for a customer that has more lines that can fit onto the one page, Crystal does the following:
Page 1 - Customer Header info and column headers (OK); Line level info until bottom of page (OK)
Page 2 - Customer Header info and column headers (MISSING); Line level info (ONLY ONE LINE APPEARS INDIVIDUALLY ON THIS PAGE BUT IS THE NEXT LINE CONTINUING FROM FROM THE PREVIOUS PAGE)
Page 3 - Customer Header info and column headers (OK); Line level info until bottom of page (OK - CONTINUING FROM THE INDIVIDUAL LINE FROM THE PREVIOUS PAGE)
Page 4 - Customer Header info and column headers (MISSING); Line level info (ONLY ONE LINE APPEARS INDIVIDUALLY ON THIS PAGE BUT IS THE NEXT LINE CONTINUING FROM FROM THE PREVIOUS PAGE)
    etc...
So what basically seems to be happening is that every other page, Crystal just sticks in an individual line on it's own without any headers or anything OR other lines.
Help please! Quite likely a 'Section Expert' issue but we don't know what setting could be causing this.

Sounds like the report is trying to print multiple pages with blank pages in between, is the normal report ie details fit onto an A4 page printing with a blank back page?
It will be page number resets and suppression of details on pagenumber = 2
YOu need to go to section expert and go through each section noting what conditions have been suppressed and if any formula boxes are red then open and see what they do.
Try turn conditions on and off and commenting out any formula conditiona and see what happens. By a process of elimination you should be able to work it out. However, you may have to stop the introduction of a blank page some how.

  • Putting Parameter into SQL Expression or convert to formula Basic or Crystal

    Post Author: yoschua
    CA Forum: Formula
Hello,In my old report I got something like thisSELECT MIN(cast("ParDyn"."ParVal" as integer))FROM "result".ParDyn WHERE "ParDyn"."ParNo" = (SELECT Max("Piece"."ParDynNo")                          FROM "result"."Piece"                           WHERE "Piece"."RequestNo" = XPARAM1 And "Piece"."PieceNo" = XPARAM2)      And "ParDyn"."ParIdent" = 'Trace.Assignment'  This report are viewed from VB component - at old VB they read SQL from report, input XPARAM1 and XPARAM2 and put it into report again and the show report.Because now I want to make my aplication I convert this report to use it not only at this old aplication, but with CR Viewer too.I see I can not insert Parameter into SQL Statement, so I need to use Basic or Crystal Formula.I try to make something like this : minimum({ParDyn.ParVal})and {ParDyn.ParNo} = 0of cource zero should be exchange with next statement, but this not working. What I would like to get is only one record, I do not want get whale table into CR engine and then evaluate becouse this report must work on slow connection, so I need take from database only records witch I need. Can someone help me, or show how to insert into formula value as parameter taked from another table dynamicly ?? Best Regards Bartłomiej Jóźwiak

    Ok,
The only way I found to get the maximum status date of an employee with the date entered in parameter was to litteraly put each employee ID, and Status Date in the Detail section.
Then in the select expert create the parameter date.
Then I created a running total field that counts the employees and resets on change of employee sorted by status date.
Then I created a formula that gets all the first occurences of this running total field and if the running total field equals 1, a new formula field shows 1 and if not (2 and more), it shows 0.
But I can't find the way to give me the total that I need for each group sections.
It's ok if the SQL expression field does not work, but I need to find a way to get the max date.
Thank's for your help for the SQL Expression field.

  • Sales quote layout rows doubled in crystal report layout

    Dear All,
Sales quote layout rows doubled in crystal report layout.
In sales quote layout the rows are doubled. Even in the standard layout. If the quote contains only two rows. Then it is doubled as 4 rows in the crystal report layout.
It is happening in the particular database. Other database are working fine. I request you people to help me to overcome this issue.

  • Huge delay in Printing Crystal Report Layout

    Good Day Experts,
I am experiencing big delays when printing a document that makes use of a Crystal Report Layout Design.
    For example,
The Sales Quote is set to automatically print when added by the user.
When clicking 'Add', SAP freezes up and only about 30 seconds later does the printer finally print the document.
During that time, the user cannot use SAP at all.
The layout does have a lot of fields and a few formulas here and there.
Logically, I am thinking that that is the reason for the delay, as SAP needs to calculate and populate those fields.
Is there any other way that I could speed up this process? Or if you know what might be causing this speed issue?
    Your assistance will be appreciated,
    Thanks

  • Purchase Order Crystal Report Layout Error

The stock Crystal Report Layout for Purchase Orders is giving me the following error:
A subscript must be between 1 and the size of the array.
    Details: errorKind
    Error in File POR20002 {b89f97ad-bf1f-447b-8bb4-b3d2e5219269}
    {3C375C81-7D37-475D-9BCB-1703CE533B65}.rpt
    Error in formula N_Decimal_Places:
'// To get the length of decimals
A subscript must be between 1 and the size of the array.
    Details: errorKind
I looked in the Crystal Reports Formula fields and could not find N_Decimal_Places.
Has any one else had the problem with the PO layout that comes with Business One?  If so, how did you fix it?

Couldn't find how to copy the PO layout over using copy express.
I did compare the RDOC fields for POR20002 in both databases and they are Identical.
In Crystal Reports, I did a formula search for N_Decimal_Places and it found nothing.  Then I did a search for 'length' in all formulas and it finds length in N_Decimal_Places.  When I double click on N_Decimal_Places it clears the screen and never shows the formula. This happens in both layouts for my test database and SBODemoUS.
Again, SBODemoUS works correctly and AAA_TEST give the error.

  • Number of Copies in Crystal Report Layout

    Hi all,
Is it possible to show the number of copy in a Crystal Report layout?
I mean: I am creating an invoice layout in Crystal Reports for SAP Business One 8.8.
Customer wants to print always 3 copies, but with the word "Copy" in second and third document.
I can set the number of printed copies but... is it possible to include a reference of what number of copy is every document?
    Sorry for any language mistake.
    Kind Regards,
    Toni Dorta

    Hi Toni,
If the customer always prints  3 copies of the Invoice, here is what you could do. You could design your Crystal Report to always print 3 copies. That is, if your Invoice has 1 page, then design your Crystal Report to Print 3 pages every time. On the 2nd and 3rd page, you include the word "Copy" to indicate that they are copies.
Once you have modified the report, change the No: of Printed copies to 1. This when the customer prints the report, it will always print 3 copies of the report and have the word "Copy" on the 2nd and 3rd invoices.
    Hope this helps.

  • Creating a formula for the Header to evaluate each record in Detail

I want to create a formula that notifies the user in the Header if there is a certain value in the report detail.  I was able to create the formula but it only gave me the correct message when the 1st record in the detail had the value.  Is there a way for it to read ALL records and if any of them have the value, to display the message?
    Example:
Formula in Header:  if ({@Total}>1) then "ERROR"
There are about 500 {@Total} fields in the detail and my formula only looks at the 1st one in the list.

    Hi Shannyn,
There is this in-built faility provided by Crystal Reports called as 'Alerts'.
This will help you meet your requirment.
For more information on functionality / Creation of Alerts, please go to Crystal Reports Help and search for 'Alert'. You will find it very helpful.
    Hope this helps.

  • How generate a crystal reports layout for Batch Report

    Dear Experts,
I want to create a crystal reports layout for Batch Report that appears when printing Delivery Note.
I've tried using DocKey@ token but it only works in the delivery note layout itself. The following code at the select expert for this crystal layout doesn't work:
    {ODLN.DocEntry} = {?DocKey@}
Kindly guide me in the above issue. Thanks.

    I am using version 8.8 SP.00 PL.10
It is very strange that I cannot get the layout connected to the database as I have followed the same steps for all layouts. It all works fine until I get to the invoice stage and then I cannot make the connection.
(I dont need to worry about the sales invoice as this was provided at installation point by our vendor)
