Creating a new Toolbar

Hello,
I am new to the RoboHelp world, but I am a Programmer by
nature. I would like to know if I can create a toolbar for RoboHelp
so that I can pre-load it with my own formatting and tags for
Paragraphs, Tables, Headings, etc. I have to make it as easy and
non techie as possible for the users trying to create the Help
system are not the most "skilled" at computers and if I can limit
the knowledge needed to create these HTML help files that would be
great. Now I have applied CSS to the HTML files already but when I
apply a new paragraph it wont take on my own tag. So that is why I
want to create just a drag and drop toolbar, I would however be
open to suggestions if I may be looking at this in the wrong way.
I appreciate the time you will have taken to read/reply and I
look forward to working with RoboHelp in the future.

It seems we might have a language problem here. I don't think
DevGraham wants a toolbar with keyboard shortcuts; I think he wants
to standardize the styles to use.
DevGraham:
The CSS style for paragraphs is the P tag (Normal in the
style pull-down); if done correctly, all new paragraphs will use
the assigned style.
Headings, of course, are the H1, H2, etc.
Tables themselves are not controlled by styles, except for
the text within them (we use TableHead and TableRow styles for
this). For pre-formatted tables, check out Peter's
excellent
tutorial on that subject.
Stay away from styles for lists, especially if you'll also be
generating Printed Doc output. Just use the Normal style, then
select the list items and click the Bullet or Number icon in the RH
toolbar; for nested lists, see

How to add URLs and/or bookmarks to a new toolbar

I can create a new toolbar and drag buttons from/to the 'Customize Toolbar' dialog, and that new toolbar will be visible.
But I want to use that new toolbar for extra favorite URLs and/or bookmarks. That does not seem to be allowed.
I _can_ drag the 'Bookmark toolbar items' icon from the Bookmarks toolbar, but that does not solve my problem, now does it?

There is one "Bookmarks Toolbar Items" container available for storing bookmarks, and that is where bookmarks are placed if you want them on a Toolbar. I have never seen an add-on that changes that by adding a 2nd "Bookmarks Toolbar Items" container.
I understand that you want to reduce the toolbar area at the top of the browser window, because I have been doing that for almost as long as I have been using Firefox ''(since 2002 when it was called Phoenix)''. The first thing I do is to get rid of or '''reduce the Menu Bar down to one button''' using one of the various Compact Menu extensions that have been available over the years. This extension hides the Menu Bar and places a button on the left side of the Navigation Bar upon installation. Click that blue globe button or hit the '''''Alt''''' key and the the Menubar Items appear in a drop-down menu. You can even drag that small button into the [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/How+to+customize+the+toolbar Customize Palette] and use the '''''Alt''''' key to open the Menubar Items drop-down. Hidden from view, but easily accessible when you need to use a Menubar Item.

New toolbar and toolbuttons

I have been able to create a new toolbar and activate it. It has a separator as the first button a button with callback action as the second button. no problems there. When i add a third button with callback it appears as it is supposed to beside the second. but the third button also appears beside the separator on the "Tasks" toolbar. Any ideas as to why?

Leonard - it is fixed. strange though. i started an entirely new project and cut and pasted the code into pluginit.cpp. I then just changed the names of the variables for the buttons. It compiled and activated perfectly. I have no idea as to why. Now I have a problem with getting the con to show on the button. Again it is a problem that exists with this plugin but not another i have done.

Hello together,
I am faced with an issue by using a button from the toolbar in order to create a new outlook mail.
Do you know the functionality from html?

This coding will create a new outlook mail an fills it with information when the user click this link. It is also possible to implement it via a button.
Now, I want to implement these function in my component, escpecially in the toolbar.
I have created a new button, but how can I provide it? Is there a possibility at all?

Just define the following coding for your button...
    ls_button-text     = 'Outlook mail'.
    ls_button-tooltip = 'Outlook mail'.
    ls_button-on_client_click = 'javascript:window.open ("mailto:email@email?subject=CRM","mywindow1","width=100,height=100,scrollbars=no,menubar=no");'.
    ls_button-page_id = me->component_id.
    ls_button-enabled = abap_true.
    APPEND ls_button TO rt_buttons.
    CLEAR ls_button.

Why is that New Toolbar Created while costomizing crashes as soon as Firefox is closed?

I am using Firefox for many years now and I simply love it.The fact
that this is my first communication to you shows that I had absolutely no
problems wit Firefox, until now that is!
The problem is Add-on Buttons along with the Toolbar keep disappearing in
Firefox18. I arrange all the Add-on Buttons on a Toolbar created for this specific purpose(Options - Toolbar - Layout - Add New Toolbar). The trouble started when I upgraded from Firefox 3.6 to Firefox 4 and then continuing even after 18th iteration of Firefox . All the Add-on Buttons along with the Toolbar started disappearing. I checked if any of the add-on is causing this problem but found nothing.But the Add-on Buttons work fine when arranged on the Status Bar (Now the so called Add-on Bar) which is very inconvenient and clumsy.
Later I found out that this particular problem exists in all the Browsers
based on Firefox\'s latest version(Pale Moon,Cometbird,Wyzo,Epic etc).
That means something is causing this toolbar to disappear in the latest
versions of Firefox(i.e.,Firefox 4,5... and now Firefox 18). So please help me to rectify this problem.I am impressed by the improvements made in the latest versions of Firefox and you will
agree with me that the strength of Firefox is that it is highly customizable.But due to this problem Firefox has become useless for me. It is too much to that even after Firefox 18 the problem is still there
I am fed up and curse why at Mozilla started this 'improvement drive. I loved Firefox 3 ! Firefox18 is useless for me.

Your last post was [/questions/927399] and the advice is much the same as then. Start a new profile and add the add-ons slowly maybe one at a time.

Created a new email address and there is no toolbar to use when composing msgs.

On our initial email address there tools to use when composing letters, msgs, etc but there is no toolbar there to help change the fonts, do highlights, edit for columns, etc. Why did it not establish one at the beginning when I created this new email. Thanks, Donna

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in full screen mode (press F11 or Fn + F11 to toggle; Mac: command+Shift+F).

If the menu bar is hidden then press the F10 key or hold down the Alt key to make the menu bar appear.
Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible:

Open the Customize window to set which toolbar items to display:
*View > Toolbars > Customize
*Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout
*Check that the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is on the Bookmarks Toolbar
*If the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the Bookmarks Toolbar then drag it back from the toolbar palette in the customize window to the Bookmarks Toolbar
*If missing items are in the toolbar palette then drag them back from the Customize window on the toolbar
*If you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the toolbar palette then click the "Restore Default Set" button to restore the default toolbar set up
You can check for problems with the localstore.rdf file if the above didn't help.

I can not pin bookmarks to 2 new toolbars that I created & it will not show those toolbars in the toolbar menu, how can I get these to show up in the toolbar menu to allow me to pin bookmarks to them it is only showing the bookmark toolbar its full.

I have tried to drag and drop the bkmks to the TB and it will not allow that either. Neither show up in the menu when I am adding a bkmk.

You can't place bookmarks on a new toolbar. You can only place a bookmark on the toolbar that has the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" on it.

Can I create a toolbar item that creates a new message to a frequent correspondent?

I used to use Eudora, but a year ago I converted to Thunderbird. One of the features I liked in Eudora was the ability to put an icon on the tool bar that created a blank message addressed to a frequent correspondent. When one added the icon, one was given the opportunity to add the email address or the nickname of the addressee. Then whenever one clicked on the icon, a blank message was created addressed to that addressee. In fact, one could put the name of an address book list of addressees as the intended recipient and in that way one could instantly create a new message to the entire group. It's almost like having a button which calls a macro which creates the blank message complete with addressee.
Just thought I'd ask. :)

There is an addon Custom Buttons wheer you can create your own button.
But you have to write your own code for what the button suppose to do.
Like add specific address to cc of an active Write window.:

When I open a "New Window" or a "link" does so, my customized "add(ed) new toolbar" disappears. FF version up to date.

I have used the reset preferences option. I had to recreate all items I previously had in the toolbars. And had to "Add a New toolbar" and add the items i had in that, also.
I also used the fix for a corrupt local.rdf file. No joy. At first I did not know why I was losing my custom toolbar. But I started paying extra attention and found out how to recreate the problem. I f a link opened a new window it opened without the custom toolbar. If I closed that window before closing the original window the custom settings where maintained.
If I opened a new window or selected a opened tab to open or duplicate in a new window the custom toolbar was gone. Again, if I closed the "new" window b4 I closed the original window all was good. But if I close the original window and the the new window the next time I open firefox the custom toolbar is gone. Righting clicking on a clear spot of a toolbar to open the "Customize Toolbar" dialog the name of my custom created toolbar is missing also.

I have never had this problem with FF before. I did not post asking for help until I could recreate the problem so that I could tell you when it happened.

I did find the problem... It was the DivX Plugin for Firefox. I just found I wasn't using it. I went to Add/Remove Programs and uninstalled it. FYI I am running Windows 7.

How can I pin the ONLY link I need (Bookmooch java) to the navigation bar instead of opening up a whole new toolbar?

I would like to add a single URL link as a button to the navigation bar, instead of having to open a whole new toolbar for it alone.
I have moved all my add-ons to this single visible toolbar with the help of an add-on, but there isn't one for the Bookmooch bar. The official one can only be dragged into the bookmarks bar which I never use.
If I created a whole new bar and moved all the preset tools (home, back, etc) onto it, could I combine them with that URL button?
Or is the only way to fiddle with the registry and replace bits of the Mozilla code?
The link to the only person offering custom toolbar icons (I managed to find) won't load.

When you are in the Toolbar Customize mode, move the '''Bookmarks Toolbar Items''' to the Navigation Toolbar. Then hide the now empty Bookmarks Toolbar.

It sounds as if what you are wanting to do in the Pages application is to insert a Page Break. Follow the steps in this article -
Pages '09: Inserting a Page Break
In a word processing document, click where you want the break to occur, and then choose Insert > Page Break.
To remove a page break, click at the beginning of the line that follows the break and press the Delete key.
In a page layout document, to insert a new page in your document, click Pages in the toolbar and choose from the template page options available.

I cannot create a new subfolder in one of my mail accounts. (All of my other accounts/inboxes I can create new folders)

Creating a new folder in bookmarks

I want to create a NEW folder in bookmarks and THEN add bookmarked pages to that folder.
I've actually searched support for a specific solution or instructions and found none. Currently, I can not find any instructions or options for creating a folder. I don't want to just bookmark the current page I am on. I want to create a folder based on topic and then, later, add bookmarks to that folder when a particular page is related to that topic.
How?

Note that you can also create a new folder via the Organize button in the Library window. 
The Organize is the first of the three buttons on the toolbar in the Library (Organize, Views, Import and Backup).

Create a new Section in Pages Beta

I've uploaded my Pages document in which I create new sections to modify the Header I use.
Can't see how to create a new section in iCloud Pages Beta.

Problems in creating a generic toolbar in the pageTemplate (11.1.1.1.0)

I tried to create a generic toolbar in a pageTemplate using the first method suggested in the Nimphius' blog (ADF declarative method) but I failed to understand and the execute 2 things.
First created the VO actions as describet but I didn't understand how to connect them to the template buttons.
Second I identified buttons as suggested (nextButt and prevButt) but I wasn't able to understand the correct syntax for partial trigger in my panelForm.
Could someone explain me better how to get my result ?

actually I would use a declarative component instead and have a facet in the template to add the declarative component in.

Instead of ADF binding references you can use managed bean methods as well.. I am currently working on getting method expressions in page templates (meaning I am trying to get this on a new feature list), after which templates could invoke listener methods. This then makes the process of creating a toolbar in a template easier
