Creating a payslip using BIP

Question

Hello,
I am using BIP to create payslips on preprinted stationery. If an employee has more than 10 payments OR more than 10 deductions then the payslip will be printed on 2 pages.
A simplified layout is:
1 <emp_name> <emp_number>
<pay_detail_line1> <deduction_detail_line1>
<pay_detail_line10> <deduction_detail_line10>
2 <total_pay> <total_deductions>
3 <annual salary> <net pay>
Lines 1 and 3 will be printed on both pages. Line 2 will be printed on the first page only, but is the sum of all lines (including those displayed on page 2).
I understand how to print only 10 payments or deductions lines per page, but I'm struggling with :
- only displaying the sum on the first page
- displaying lines 1 and 3 on the second page
I'm new to BIP, so would be grateful for any help

I have re-worked my template to break at the required limit of rows on the payslip and push to a second page. The continuing issue is how to print 2 columns of employee pay data next to each other on the payslip (2 groups side by side).
Using the common AP check template that appears on many sites with the recursive sub-template works to limit the number of elements for earnings on the first page to 15 (as an example).
The section is the employee check information: employee name, check number, check date, etc.
The 1st group of detail contains the list of earning elements which are limited to 15 displaying in the 1st table column on the pay stub (16+ appear on a second page). The 2nd group of detail lists the deduction elements.
Example:
Earnings_______________________________Deductions
Regular wages_______ 1538.46 ____________FIT Withheld__________________33.15
Commission___________694.00 ____________SS EE Withheld________________22.11
etc.
When I have the 2 columns in separate tables, the data will appear in the PDF. When I add the 2nd (deductions) column to the table and preview, only the data in the 1st column appears. My requirement actually has 3 columns in 2 sections of the top paystub with data from different groups of elements in the XML appearing in each box. Is there a way to do this?
