Creating a sign in sheet

I need to create a Sign In sheet using Crystal Reports, where a dataset gets loaded into the report with information so that the person signing in can find themselves on the sheet with column headers and 5 of the 8 columns will have empty checkboxes in them (squares).
My question is, how do I load the data in a table format with columns and rows with squares in the last 5 columns AND have the text within each cell center vertically like Excel.

Create an XML off of your dataset:
myDataset.WriteXml(xmlPath, XmlWriteMode.WriteSchema)
Create the report off of this. Once the report  is created, you can point it at the dataset at runtime:
crReportDocument.Database.Tables(0).SetDataSource(dataSet.Tables("NAME_OF_TABLE"))
or:
crReportDocument.SetDataSource(dataSet) or crReportDocument.SetDataSource(dataSet.Tables(0))

    Is there is a feature within PeopleSoft HRMS that would allow us to create a sign in sheet/visitor log that will in turn be used for a query later?     Constructing the URL/link is the easy part. You can simply use the following format:

    Granting guest access to the page can be done as follows:
    Refer Doc ID: E-PIA: PT 8.4x How to Setup (Public) Bypass Signon [video] (Doc ID 622190.1)
    Login to PIA. Go People Tools > WebProfile Configuration. In the search , choose the profile for which you want to setup the bypass signon. Click on the security tab and under Public Users section, check the box for "Allow Public access" and then enter the UserId and Password of the default userid you want to use for the bypassing. Restart webserver . Please make sure that this User already exists in the database.
    Note: The guest user should have access to the page you are creating.
    Also, for security reasons, I have seen that such guest pages (e.g.: External Applications Page, External Supplier Page) are made available under a separate web server domain:
    1. Create a new web server domain
    2. Create a custom web profile with settings as suggested in Doc ID 622190.1
    3. Use the new custom web profile (created in step 2) in the new web server domain (created in step 1)
    This way you can separate your regular PIA traffic from your guest traffic and also control security differently at the web profile level.

    The most straightforward approach would be to use a form to collect the information (names, date, time, function, etc.) and store all that data in a database. You would then need another page to retrieve the records that have been collected. Would you want all the records (sorted how?) or would you want only those pertaining to a certain date or function or whatever.
    Straightforward, perhaps, but this would require some knowledge of databases (MySQL most likely) as well as programming in PHP. You would also have to find out if your host supported both (MySQL and PHP).
    Let us know if this makes any sense at all and we can take it from there.

  • How can I create a PDF contact sheet of photos in finder

    I'm trying to create an automator workflow/action (or service) that will allow me to select a set of photos in the finder and then create a PDF contact sheet that will include the Photo filename. I know that I can select photos and open in preview, but these do not include the filename with the photo in the saved PDF.
    I'm a newbie with Automator, but i gave it a try myself.
    In the Automator PDF Library, there is an action called "New PDF contact sheet", however I can't seem to be able to get it to work. I dragged that action to the workflow and then added "Get Selected Finder Items" before that.
    It appears to run it--an "application"/window appears titled "MakePDF" and it appears to run through the selected photos. However, at the end (after it asks for the file name to save it with), it says that "The action “New PDF Contact Sheet” encountered an error--check the actions properties and try running the workflow again".
    What am I leaving out of the workflow?

    There is a bug in the *New PDF Contact Sheet* action in that it is looking for the Leopard version of a file that moved and changed in Snow Leopard.
    Snow Leopard has a newer version of a support application MakePDF.app in the */System/Library/Image Capture/Automatic Tasks* folder, but as mentioned the *New PDF Contact Sheet* action seems to still require the older version of the application, which in Leopard is located in the */System/Library/Image Capture/Tools* folder. If you have access to a Leopard installation, you can copy the MakePDF.app from Leopard and place it into the same location in Snow Leopard (/System/Library/Image Capture/Tools) - this will get the action working again.

     Duet 1.5 - 150.700 SP3
     Duet Demand Planning u2013 1000.150.700.3.0 (Server Component), 1000.150.700.3.0 (Client Component)
    There are 2 ways available to create Duet Demand Planning Sheet
    1. On the basis of existing Demand Planning Scenario
    2. On the basis of existing Data views( with SAP macros)
    We are able to create Duet planning Sheet with 1 option. But we got erro with second Option that is on the basis od Data view(with macros).
    Planning area, Planning Book/Data view and Selection Ids are existing and active.All the Webservices given by SAP are released.
    Duet is able to retrive the list of Dataviews avilable for the Planning Area. But it is failing to retrieve the Data View Details the Error is as follow
    "No view Details were found Please choose another dataview."
    Web Service Call (PlanningViewDetails):
    java.rmi.RemoteException:Service call exception; nested exception is:
    java.rmi.UnmarshalException: Attribute schemeAgencyID is required in element ID !
    Data: TYPEID DUET_JAVA_ADDON
    Data: SEVERITYCODE 2

    Is there any SAPNOTE for this ?Any specific configuration requirement from SAPAPO side?

    Thanks CtDave, for the further info.  Unfortunately, those suggestions are not working, which is strange.
    ....Until last week, I used to make multi-page PDFs straight from Photoshop: File > Automate > Make PDF.  One simply choses the files, orders them, and creates a PDF.  (Resolution doesn't matter; 300 DPI is no problem.)  However, my new Photoshop CS5 does not have the option in Automate.
    What I've done, seeing as Acrobat is letting me down, is use Bridge (new to me) to create the PDF.  It worked without a problem, but seems like more work than the old PS method.  I will download a newer version of Acrobat to see if that makes any difference.
    .....Also, thanks Test Screen Name:  I agree with you that jpeg is irrelevant, and that one can make a PDF from Photoshop (Print > Save As - pdf).  But that only works for SINGLE PAGE pdf, not multiple pages as far as I can tell.

    I need to create a service entry sheet using bapi BAPI_ENTRYSHEET_CREATE for a purchase order with account assignment category as 'unknown' (U).I am able to create SE sheet for a purchase order if account assignment is maintained in PO but our requirement is susch that at the tme of PO creation they dont assign Acct assgnment cat but want SE sheet to be entered with category 'P' and WBS elemnt . I tried to pass the asscount assgnment category in the header data as 'P' and entered WBS element in table it_services. I am getting error message
    'No account assignment exists for serviceu2019. any help in this regard is highly appreciated.

    can u create it SE entry  manually  without A/c assignment  ?.

    ...says to find the icon of the pad and pencil:
    in the View > Toolbars > Formatting menu. But it's not there. IN addition, the options in the formatting toolbar only become clickable if the cursor is in the text of some topic. I think the directions must be pointing me to the wrong place.

    I am creating a service entry sheet from the PO but I am getting an error of u201CPlease maintain services or limits Message no. SE029- Diagnosis(You cannot enter data until the PO item has been maintained correctly) u201C
    The document type of the PO is standard NB, account assignment category is Q- (Proj make to order) and the item category is D(service). Then I am trying also create a PR using account assignment category is Q- (Proj make to order) and the item category is D(service) but still cannot proceed, a message asking me to enter a service entry number. What I know the process is create a PO(maybe based from PR) then post the GR then create a service entry sheet in ML81N but I cannot proceed. Just creating a PR or PO using those mentioned account assignment and item category and getting an error of need to enter a service entry sheet number.

    Process for Creating Service Entry Sheet
    Transaction Code :    ML81N
    1)To open the respective Purchase Order, Click on the u2018Other Purchase Orderu2019, then enter the Purchase Order No.
    2)Click on the u2018Create Entry Sheetu2019 icon(3rd Icon on Top-Left)
    3)Give Short Text (e.g. R/A Bill No. 1) and top service entry sheet number also generated.
    4)Click u2018Service Selectionu2019 Icon on the Bottom of the Screen.
    5)For the 1st Time, when we are making Service Entry Sheet for a respective Purchase Order, we need to u201CAdopt Full Quantityu201D by clicking the Check box next to it, then Enter.  (*For the next time, no adoption is required, just continue)
    6)Select the respective Services by clicking on the Left Hand Side, then Click u2018Servicesu2019 (Adopt services) icon on the Top.
    7)Give the completed Quantity, then Click u2018Acceptu2019 icon(a green flag on the top)
    8)Save .
    9)Service Entry Sheet is SAVED and account posting made.

    I require some information on creating self-signed certificate using java packages.
    The java.security.cert.* package allows you to read Certificates from an existing store or a file etc. but there is no way to generate one afresh. See CertificateFactory and Certificate classes. Even after loading a certificate you cannot regenerate some of its fields to embed the new public key &#8211; and hence regenerate the fingerprints etc. &#8211; and mention a new DN. Essentially, I see no way from java to self-sign a certificate that embeds a public key that I have already generated.
    I want to do the equivalent of &#8216;keytool &#8211;selfcert&#8217; from java code. Please note that I am not trying to do this by using the keytool command line option &#8211; it is always a bad choice to execute external process from the java code &#8211; but if no other ways are found then I have to fall back on it.

    I require some information on creating self-signed certificate using java packages. Its not possible because JCE/JCA doesn't have implementation of X509Certificate. For that you have to use any other JCE Provider e.g. BouncyCastle, IAIK, Assembla and etc.
    I'm giving you sample code for producing self-signed certificate using IAIK JCE. Note that IAIK JCE is not free. But you can use BouncyCastle its open source and free.

    I work for a small non-profit, and, as such, I wear many (too many?) hats.  I have no other experience with Adobe products (except for a very short intro class to InDesign), so I apologize in advance if this is an obvious question!
    SO, I often need to make documents (sign up sheets, donation forms, etc.) where I need to have something like this:
    Name: _____________________________
    Phone: _____________________________ (etc...)
    What is the best way to do this in InDesign without just putting in a line?!?!  Lines (as far as I can figure out) are not "fixed" (anchored?), so when I want to copy or move the text box or move down the "Name" title (or a lot of other things), the line does not move along with it and I have to spend a ridiculous amount of time making and re-making lines. There must be an easier way to do this, right?

    I was on my way out the door when I posted earlier, so I didn't tell you as much as I could have.
    Absolutely make use of right-indent tabs where they work. I also often use a space or thin space between the text and the tab to provide a separation between the text and the line. I usually use a character style to add the underline, and you can either use find/change to apply it after you are done, or if you're ambitious you can use a nested style.
    If you want to use a nested style, start by applying none up to 1 ^t^y then the underline style through 1 ^t^y and finally repeat the last two styles. ^t is the metacharacter for a tab and ^y is the metacharacter for a right indent tab, and both are probably in the list of things you can select in the dialog, but now you know in case they aren't. One of the quirks of nested styles is that if you add more than one character to the trigger, ID will use the first one it finds from the list, so by adding BOTH types of tabs ID will find both a regular and right indent tab, or several regular tabs, on the same line, using the same nested style.

    You can not use Adobe Reader to get signing functionality but you can use Adobe Acrobat XI Pro to Extend the forms abilities to allow Adobe Reader users to Sign.
    Process to Extend the Form document's features with an existing Signature Field in the Form:
    1.  File>Save as Other...>Reader Extended PDF>Enable more Tools (includes form fill-in & save)...
    2. Click "Save Now" button
    3.  Save the file to a new name because you want to keep the ability to edit the file that you were working on just in case you need to make changes later.

    This defeats the purpose of trying to centralize SAP-related web resources on the SAP server. Typically IIS/Apache or other non-SAP servers are under the control of IT and not the SAP BASIS group.
    We simply would like to have a centralized location to store static web files so that they are not overwritten during Portal support pack applications.
