Creating a table of fields

Hi all, I'm new to Adobe Designer. I need help creating fillable fields in a table. At the moment I'm doing it manually field by field and its really time consuming. Can anyone offer me any help on this? Thanks!
Also I've noticed some bugs in the program. When you copy text (a paragraph with indents, bullets and tabs) from MS Word/Wordpad and paste it in Designer, some of the text will be garbled and other will be invisible. The Adobe tech support was able to replicate the same problem.
Another problem I noticed is when I copy 2 pages of text from notepad and paste it in Designer. The text remains uneditable until you expand the placeholder big enough for to show all the text. This is impossible when you are copying 10 pages of text and pasting into Designer. I don't want to break the text apart as I like it to flow from page to page if I make any changes to it.
I'm also looking for a feature call Autoflow found in PageMaker. Its when a 2 or more text boxes have their contents connected. Textbox1 on page 1, textbox2 on page 2. If I add more text in textbox1, the overflow will be flow down to the top part of textbox2. I hope someone can help me with this.

ah, I think I see the rub. You want customers to be able to save the form and email it back, not submit online....?

    I am not sure where your question is directed.  The forum that you have posted your question in is for questions related to the SAP Business One SDK.  Are you looking to create new user tables/fields in SAP Business One?  If so you can do this either through the SAP Business One SDK interface using Tools > User Defined Fields and/or Tools > User Defined tables.
    You can also create metadata objects in Business One programatically using the UserTablesMD and/or UserFields objects.
    SAP does not support direct SQL writes to the SAP Business One Db.

  • How to create a unique group field in Qualifier table

    Hi,
    I am trying to use a qualified table in Product maintable like "Site items".
    However I would like to have two non-qual field in that like 'Plant' and 'item#' which should be an unique combination.
    I have tried to create a table(X) with the above two fields with display and another table (Y)that uses the table X for lookup (site-item) so as to make it dispaly and unique both. However when i am using this Y table as a lookup for the qualified table(site items) , not able to load data.
    Error message:
    "Import failed. Unable to find source column index for 'Site Item ID' field"
    Another issue also not able to populate data for the qualified flds even if when able to load data without making a group unique field for this qualified table.
    In MDM 5.5 sp4. Thanks in advance for any tips.

                    In the above post of mine I suggested you to use STRING data type.
    As you are telling that when creating TABLE MAINTANENCE GENERATOR you are
    getting an error saying that " Datatype STRING is not supported ". I tried this, what you said is right.
                      After your reply I did research on this and I also met my heads,
    The conclusion is <b>IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO GENERATE TABLE MAINTANENCE</b> for the table which is using STRING type. At last I can give you one suggestion, i.e., In the short text of that field write STANDARD TEXT name.So that whenever you want, go to this standard text, but the problem is you have to maintain it manually.

    I have got a requirement in which, I will be entering the table name and Excel file from seletion-screen.
    based on the Table I have entered in the selection-screen I need to create a dynamic internal table so that I can fill that Execel data into that internal table and later i using BDC i can I can fill the database table using SM30 transaction.
    here. my problem is that, When I am creating internal table dynamically, MANDT filed is also getting created in the internal table.
    please, help in deleteing the filed MANDT from the internal able.
    following is the code which creates the dynamic internal table.

    While creating the Dynamic filed catalog try to avoid MANDT field.
    Ex:
    *Dynamic creation of a structure
      CREATE DATA LP_STRUCT TYPE (V_TABLE).
      ASSIGN LP_STRUCT->* TO <FS>.
    *Fields Structure
      OF_SDESCR ?= CL_ABAP_TYPEDESCR=>DESCRIBE_BY_DATA( <FS> ).
    LOOP AT OF_SDESCR->COMPONENTS ASSIGNING <COMPONENTS>.
    *Field MANDT not displayed
        IF SY-TABIX = 1 AND <COMPONENTS>-NAME = 'MANDT'.
          CONTINUE. " Next loop
        ENDIF.
    *Build Fieldcatalog
        LS_LVC_CAT-FIELDNAME = <COMPONENTS>-NAME.
        LS_LVC_CAT-REF_TABLE = V_TABLE.
        APPEND LS_LVC_CAT TO LT_LVC_CAT.

  • Field is missing in Create condition table screen

    We are going through one minor issue.We are trying to configure output types for billing docs.I am trying to create a condition table with sold to party field.It is displaying in field catalog,but not displaying in create condition table screen.Any idea how to get it?

    As you want to create a condition table at billing level and at  billing level for sold to party it is KUNAG  where as in sales order level it is KUNNR.
    VBRK- KUNAG (SOLD TO PARTY AT BILLING LEVEL )
    VBAK- KUNNR  (SOLD TO PARTY AT SALES ORDER LEVEL )
    so you need to select the sold  to party KUNAG and if that sold to party is not available , create that sold to party feild (KUNAG) . and save it
    Now when you cerate a condtion table check wheather that cerated feild is there are not . sometimes it will be there and sometimes it wont be there . if that feild is not there then , we need to take the help of ABAPer's and they will  copy the standard table into Z table and in that they will write the ALV report  or any program . so that it gets triggered in that feild catlog.
    example :
    KUNAG is availabe in VBRK table
    so ABAP'ers will be copying hte standard VBRK table in ZVBRK table  and in that ZVBRK table they will write the program where this feild KUNAG is also inserted.
    so when you create a condtion table then you can see this KUNAG feild, in the list of feild catlog,if that feild is not there just maintain . the feild. automatically it gets triggered in the feild catlog

    I am taking part in the process of migrating a J2ee application from JBoss to SAP Server. I have imported the ejb project.
    I have an entity bean with 79 CMP fields. i have created the bean and created the table for the same also. but when i tried to build the dictionary, i am getting an error message as given below,
    "Dictionary Generation: DB2:checkNumberOfColumns (primary key of table IMP_MANDANT): number of columns (79) greater than allowed maximum (64) IMP_MANDANT.dtdbtable MyAtlasDictionary/src/packages"
    Is it mean that we can not create tables with fields more than 64?
    How can i create tables with more than 64 fields?

  • Not able to create a table with more than 64 fields in dictionary

    I have created a java dictionary in Netweaver Developer studio. I have to create a table with more than 64 fields in it. I was able to create the table in dictionary, but when i tried to build it, I am getting an error message as "more than 64 fields are not allowed". If i create the table with 64 fields or below 64 fields, i can build the dictionary and deploy it.
    That is, when i create a table with more than 64 fieds, I am not able to compile the dictionary, But if i reduce the fields to 64 or below, i can compile the dictionary.
    Kindly help me to solve the problem.

    Sudheesh,as far as I am aware creating of fields in the table actually depends on the total width of table that can be used for various Vendors.
    So I actually tried out creating a table with too many fields,and I am reproducing the errors which I have obtained -

    I hope you can understand what the errors state.I am trying to create a table whose total width(sum of width all columns) is greater than the maximum allowed for various Vendors,such as DB2,MSSQL,SAPDB etc.

    Can you use datatype as LCHR for the character string.
    before creating the string you need to decalre one INTEGER field.
    you can refer to the table EDID4 where SDATA field declared.
    check for the data  type EDI_SDATA.

    Please go through this extract from documentation:
    Creating New Data Fields in a Communication Structure
    Data fields are created in the Data Dictionary. You create data elements and fields in the Data Dictionary as well as integrate them in the relevant structures. Use following check list when you create new data fields:
    1. Check whether an identical data field already exists in the standard system
    If you want to use the order reason (AUGRU) for pricing, for example,
    the data element already exists.
    If you want to use parts of the product hierarchy, for example, you must create a new data element (e.g. ZZPRODH1).
    Remember that new data fields must begin with the letter "ZZ" or "YY" because SAP has selected this name convention to protect modifications of the customer during a release changeover. Create a new domain for the new data element.
    If you want to use a new partner function, such as a selling agent (Z1) you have to create a new partner function (Z1) and a new data element (ZZVRTZ1) in Customizing.
    2. Using the source tables, check wether the field is used at header or at item level, which determines the structure in which the field is included. The source tables are listed in the section "Supplying Fields Within the Communication Structure and Using Them in Condition Tables" below.
    The order reason, for example, is included in table VBAK, the product hierarchy in table VBAP.
    3. Integrate the field in the appropriate communication structure by means of an INCLUDE.
    For pricing, for example, you include header fields in KOMKAZ, item fields in KOMPAZ: For the field name enter the field description new fields and make sure that they begin with ZZ or YY.     5. Include a new field in table T681 and allocate it to the application in which is to be used.
    Example
    A new field for pricing, has the allocation A, V, 001.
    When you have succesfully added the new fields in the communication structure, you will be able to find the same in FIELD CATALOG under the acess squences definition. Please check the same...

    There is basically no difference between a search help for standard vs. customer tables.
    An important choise is the selection method for your search help:
    Either you use your custom table, a view or a search help user-exit if you need to implement very specific requirements.
    Assuming that you can use your DB table as selection method the further implementation of the search help is quite straightforward:
    (1) Define the parameters you would like to have a selection criteria (SPos = SPos) and which should appear on the result list (= LPos).
    (2) Define the parameters that can be used as input for the selection (flag IMP) and are returned by the search help (flag EXP)

    It sounds like what you are trying to do is edit the choices in a likert field to something other than the default radio button. This is not something that you can do in Formscentral at this time.

  • Creating an auto incrementing field with CREATE TABLE from Java

    I'm using the "sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver" to get a connection towards an ODBC data source that's linked to a Access (.mdb) database.
    I've tried various combinations in my CREATE TABLE statement execution in order to create a table with an auto incrementing integer but neither of them work, not even the most obvious one:
    stmt.executeUpdate("CREATE TABLE mytable(uid integer AUTO_INCREMENT PRIMARY KEY);");
    I always get this runtime exception: *java.sql.SQLException: [Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Syntax error in field definition*; and AUTO_INCREMENT is the problem. I've tried all variations like AUTO, INCREMENT, AUTOINCREMENT and such, but nothing works.
    I've looked everywhere but couldn't find an answer to this. Thanks for the help.

    You used MySQL syntax. I think you agree with me that Access isn't a MySQL database. Either use MySQL with a real JDBC driver (recommended) or use Access syntax.
    That said, creating databases and tables using Java is a bad idea. The database and table must be already there. With Java you just do the usual table operations like select, insert, update and delete. Nothing more is needed.
