Creating a tail for a moving arrow.

Hi,
I am trying to make an arrow move for a simple presentation in flash. Moving the arrow head and making it change shape isn't a problem with a motion tween, but I want to create a tail which follows the path of the arrow, which gets longer as the arrow moves on a spline between two boxes. Has any one got any suggestions, as key framing the tail seems a bit long winded. any suggestions would be great.

If you don`t need this trail to be interactive and if the animation will always happen the exact same way coding this would be a lot more timeconsuming than simply drawing it.
Use a combination of path/motion tween to get the best control, and set the registry point to the tip of your arrow

    Hello guys,
I need to create transfer order for moving storage units, the same with the transactions LT09, I found this FM 'L_TO_CREATE_MOVE_SU' but no work, somebody have an example for this FM, thanks a lot!

    Hello,
I had the same problem today and I've fixed it by calling the FM in a different task (asychronous) .. this way the fugr/internal variables will be loaded again and you won't get this stupid error anymore.
CALL FUNCTION 'L_TO_CREATE_MOVE_SU' STARTING NEW TASK lv_task
In case you need it syncronous use PERFORMING clause together with WAIT UNITL
    Hope this helps!

  • How to put a moving arrow into iMovie '11

I am trying to make a highlight tape for a lacrosse player and they requested that I put an arrow over them so coaches can focus on them, but all of the tutorials I have found are for iMovie 09 and I have 11, which will not let me put a picture on a picture. Please help as soon as possible!!!

The advice, I give in this user-tip
How to create a pointer or a custom title
works in iM09 as in iM11.
… but a moving arrow is impossible in iMovie, due to lack of key-framing pic-in-pics.
Consider usage of more elaborated tools, such FCPX.
Or, Motion5 as 'effects machine' - works as a standalone, so, can be used in conjunction with iMovie.
The latest Adobe Premiere/elements (70-100$) offers a 'tracking-feature', to apply arrows or titles to moving objects. 'Tracking' allows a lot of fun stuff, example made in Motion5: http://youtu.be/ac0QyDJmTjE
Fingers crossed, after 4y of development, iMovie14 will offer a similiar effect…

    Hello,
For slow moving materials , use can use InfoSet to design the same. The infoset will have 0Material on the left hand side and the DSO which holds the transcation data.
    or
u can install the standard content 'slow moving material' query and multiprovider 0ic_mc01.

  • Create a Doc for Filling Out and Sending On

I'm trying to create a document for pricing quotes.
The idea is that I (designer) create a document (writable) for a client to fill out, save (unwritable), and send to customers for price quotes.
    I've tried:
creating text boxes - but when the document is filled out and saved, the client is still invited to change the fields (we don't want that!)
creating signature boxes - which pulls up a lengthy and complicated signature field
signing the document with multiple signatures - a hassle I wouldn't wish on a client
going to the "sign" field of Adobe Reader, clicking "Add Text," and saving the document. - The save option still leaves the text editable upon reopening; the email option requires an echo account, which we're not looking for because we aren't actually creating legal documents.
Any advice? I could really use it!George Johnson was helping before, when I hijacked Island Lady's thread (eep! sorry about that!)
I'm using InDesign to create the document, saving into Acrobat Pro, and and/or reading in Adobe Reader (which my client will be using).
A sample of the document is HERE

Here are the preliminary instructions I'm sending to my client:
Open the Document in Acrobat Reader 11.0.07
    Click on “Sign.”
Click on “Place Signature” -or- if you’ve already done this once, click on the corresponding arrow, then click on “Change Saved Signature”
    Select “Type my signature”
Type the word/s you would like to type in the “Enter Your Name” field (never mind that it’s not your name )
    Click “Accept”
Drop the word/s in the text field you would like them to go in.
Repeat until the form is filled out.
    Click “Signed. Proceed to Send”
    Click on “Save a Copy”
Rename your document so that a copy is saved for you to email to the customer.
Email your document using your own email program.
    Finished!

  • How to create recovery disk for windows 8.1 after update from windows 8.

My laptop came with windows 8 and i have recovery discs for windows 8.
Now i've updated to windows 8.1, so i want to creat recovery discs for windows 8.1.
So in future when i use recovery discs i dont have to download windows 8.1 again.
Please tell me if there is any way to do this.....

As colakid posted, in Windows 8 the ability to create a recovery CD/DVD has gone. Your options are to:
    create a recovery USB; or
    create a recovery image.
    Recovery USB
Colakid's post talks you through how to make a recovery USB: from control panel, choose Recovery, then Create a Recovery Drive, and follow the prompts.
However, the 'recovery USB' can be a bit misleading. When the wizard starts, there is an option to 'copy the recovery partition from the PC to the recovery drive'. If you do not check this option, you will still need installation media to reset your PC.
Since you have upgraded from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1, you will probably not be able to check this option, as it will be greyed out (like it is in the picture in Colakid's post).
If you go ahead and create the USB anyway, you will be able to boot to it, but you won't be able to reinstall Windows unless you have the installation media (or possibly a system image, though I haven't tried that).
    Recovery image
The recovery image is an image of your computer that Windows will use when you select the 'refresh my pc' option. You can create a recovery image using the recimg.exe tool.
First, open an elevated command prompt (type cmd and press Ctrl + Shift + Enter).
Next, create the recovery image by typing:
    recimg /createimage [path]
Where [path] is the folder you want the image in, eg C:\Recovery. You cannot set the file name - it will always be called CustomRefresh.wim.
Let it run its course. When it's done, you can check that it is the current recovery image by typing
    recimg /showcurrent
It's important to keep in mind what a recovery image contains. It will have your Windows system files (in their current state), and the desktop apps you have installed (so it makes sense to do this after a fresh install of Windows). It will
not backup any Metro apps or user files, because these are not deleted during a system refresh. If you want a complete backup of everything on your computer the way it is now, you should make take a complete system image (which
can be done from the File History settings in control panel - at the bottom left there will be a 'System Backup Image' option - or you can do it using any other backup software like Ghost or Acronis).
In my case, I created the recover image straight after upgrading to Windows and it was about 6 GB.
Prepare/Create and register an recovery partition, so the option Copy the Recovery Partition becomes available in the recovery drive UI  application.
In elevated command run> RECIMG -CREATEIMAGE C:\REFRESHIMAGE<
This will create a new custom.wim in a folder Refreshimage.
Now lets get ready to register the path of the image, so our create recovery drive option(COPY THE RECOVERY PARTITION FROM THE PC TO THE RECOVERY DRIVE) becomes available.
    >  In the folder you created there will be a> custom.wim<
    change it to>INSTALL.wim<
    > Create a folder In Cd/directory using Elevated command> mkdir c:\Win8.1-Recovery,>
    Win81-Recovery<.
    > Copy the  INSTALL.WIM. Put in the Win81-recovery folder created.
    > Run in elevated commad>REAGENTC /SetOSImage /Path C:\Win81-Recovery\INSTALL.WIM /Index 1<
Do not copy the arrows if using copy and paste, that is my way of pointing out lines of code
Information provided by the link below, thanks Keith. I simplified the process for easy following and added my own tweak from trial and error for the install.

  • How to create a hint for a component(awt),thanks

How to create a hint for a component(awt),the component of awt has not the property.

If you are talking about a tooltip, this is going to be hard.
You are probably going to have to use a mouseMotionListener to get the event that the mouse is over the component and then a Timer to fire the showTooltip event if the mouse hasn't moved in some amount of time.

  • WM report for slow moving items

    Hello,
Is there any report in  WM for slow moving items (or Dead stock)?
    Regards,

    Hi,
    I agree with Frenchy.
You can check the following as well (and create your own slow moving criteria): tcode MCLD and make sure that the list displayes field "Number of Movements". With this you can get an idea of which material moves and which ones don't. You can limit this then by movement type to base your criteria on for example sales.
Also see the other reports under Warehouse --> Standard Analysis.

  • Creating motion menus for DVDSP

Does anyone know of a good book or video (online is fine too) that really goes into the hows of creating moving menus in Motion to be used in DVDSP?

There are a number of problems with the script.  To see them for yourself, open the script with the UCCX script editor, Select Tools>Validate.  This will show you all of the consistency errors with the script in a new windows on the bottom right-hand side of the script editor.  You can select an error for it to take you to the problem in the script.
Here are the main problems I see:
    1. You have many "GoTo" steps pointing to the "Menu" label, but there is no "Menu" label.  You need to create specific Labels for the English and Spanish Menus, then point to those as needed.  You can label a menu step by going to the properties of the step, selecting the label tab on the left-hand side, and enter the text of the label.
    2.  There are several Call Redirect steps to the variable "Front Desk", but that variable doesn't exist.
    3.  You have many Play Prompt steps playing the "Busy" prompt.  The script is case-sensitive, and your variable is named "busy".

  • Creating Photoshop buttons for motion menus and photoshop menus

Hi I need to create buttons in photoshop for both a photoshop menu and a motion menu on DVD studio pro program
Can someone tell me how to do it on both different menus?
I really need some DETAILS on how to do it. Thanks for your time and responses ahead of time

OK, here's what I recommend you try...
Create the footage for your motion menu background. In that footage fade in the button shapes and text for the buttons exactly as you want them to appear. Hold the final position of these buttons for at least 30 seconds. save an image of the still portion to act as a guide in photoshop. Encode that footage to MPEG2 using Compressor and import it in to DVDSP.
Take the still image in to photoshop and add a single layer to the file. On the new layer, create a shape of some kind (an underline, tick, circle, cross, box around, arrow, etc) next to the background button text. Make these shapes (for each piece of background text) black, and leave the rest of the layer white. Hide or delete the background layer and save the result as a .pict image. Import it in to DVDSP.
Take the motion footage and drop it in to a menu. use the loop point in the property inspector to define where the 'still' portion of that footage begins. Now drag the .pict overlay image in to the same menu, but hold it a second until the contextual menu appears... set it as the overlay. Drag out button rectangles around the background text and position for the shapes in the overlay. Make sure the rectangles don't overlap, and set up the target for these buttons as well as the navigation between them.
Use the property inspector to adjust the colours for the overlay - set it to be a simple overlay and in grayscale. What should happen is that when the menu plays the animated sequence starts first but as soon as the loop point is reached the overlay becomes active. The first button defined will be set as selected. You should now see the menu with the buttons faded in to position and the buttons should be clickable.
When returning to this menu you may not want the viewer to sit through the animated sequence each time. Use a script (in DVDSP4) to specify that they return to the loop point only (the bit where the buttons are) or create a second menu that is identical to the loop point and send the viewer there instead.
As you can see, there are several steps involved and I have made assumptions that you know something about menus and constructing buttons. It is all in the manual, but you will need to be familiar with Photoshop (or whatever image editor you prefer) to do this properly.
You do not need to try to make four layer shapes and bring them in to the menu, and if you attempt to add anything else from the templates panel to this menu then the image quality will suffer as DVDSP builds the disc. If you do want to add other shapes and text to the menu then don't do the export to MPEG2... keep it as a simple QT .mov file.
Please let us know how you get on after trying this method, and after reading up on those manuals

  • Best approach to creating a TOC for product catalog using data merge

What is the best approach for creating a TOC for a product catalog (over 1,000 items) using Data Merge?
The TOC would contain the product Categories.
So for example, Category A items could go from pages 1 - 3, and Category B items would start at pg 4, but if new items were added to Category A, then Category B may start from pg 6.
From the Data Source, there are 5 Data Fields I've chosen to be displayed.  If this were a regular digital print document, I could use the Paragraph Style method for creating a TOC, but if I make any one of the Data Fields a certain Paragraph Style and use that for the TOC, it'll populate the TOC with that Data Field for all the items.
    Any suggestions?

    Peter Spier wrote:
TOC is not interactive in the ID file, though it can be in a PDF that you export (there's a checkbox to create PDF bookmarks). You might want to think about using Cross-references (rather than hyperlinks, I think) to build the TOC. You have to do it manually, but once done it should maintain itself, whereas a TOC is built automatically, but must be regenerated after you edit the doc.
One caveat witih TOCs created from cross-references: Although changing the text of an x-ref source paragraph (for example from "Patatas and tamatas" to "Tomatoes and Potatoes,"and/or when the source paragraph flows to the next or previous page) update automatically or when invoking "Update cross-references," MOVING a cross-reference source paragraph to a location before or after another source paragraph, does not change their sequence in the pseudo-TOC. You'll need to manually move the reference in the pseudo-TOC to the correct position in the sequence of cross-refs. So, put the task of checking the order of x-refs in the pseudo-TOC on your before hand-off check list.

I want to make a arrow or airplane in motion form Honolulu to L.A. then on to London England

Can Google's SketchUp Pro be used to create 3D models for use in Motion?
I'm having problems finding the file types that SketchUp produces and Motion requires.
Thanks for any help in this.

Zaxwerks Pro Animator does a pretty good job of creating a 2 3/4D models.   That is it appears to be 3D as you move around the object until you cross the objects plane. Then it looks 2D.   Kinda like moving around particles that are set to 3D.
ProAnimator would be alright but it's rather difficult to texture and I was just wondering if SketchUp Pro would be importable into Motion.
    Thanks for the responce.
