Creating an Alert Based on Category

Hi ppl,
We have requirement to create an alert based on the category we choose in the category modeler. Is it possible to do so in standard?
I couldnt find an attribute for category. So, I tried to create a new attribute in the repository, using FG_ICWC_ORDER as the fact gathering service. But couldn't make it working.
Does it work when we use this fact gathering service? I left the Input Support Class blank in Input Support for Conditions. Do we have a input support class for categories?
Has anyone of you have had a similar requirment before? Any help would be great!

Hi,
Why don't you define a new event. The same can be done at the following path:
IMG>Customer Relationship Management>Interaction Center WebClient>Additional Functions>Intent-Driven Interactions>Define Events in Repository
You would need to know the name of the component and the view to define the event and this you could get by pressing F2 in the relevant WEB UI screen.

  • Creating a table based on Category and Sub-Categories

    Hi
    I am building an extensive home budget. I have 3 tables showing, monthly, quarterly and annual costs. These tables contain Categories and Sub-Categories. I have created a table and chart to show the percentage of the total costs for each Category. For the two Categories with the largest percentage of the total cost I would like to create a table (and chart, no problem, based on my first template) showing the breakdown of the Sub-Categories. However this information is to be retrieved from 3 tables, and I was hoping to create the table automatically. If not I must individually go to each different table and find the relevant Sub-Category and manually input the text and link the cell for the value to my new table. This gives room for error in my opinion and is a nuisance as my budget file now contains about 8 sheets so even on 27" iMac requires a considerable amount of scrolling around.
    Am I expecting too much of Numbers or missing something totally? I do not have much experience of spreadsheets, just basic tables and calculations in Excel before coming over from the Dark Side!

    I apologise also for my incorrect terminology - please bear with me on this, unfortunately I never used Excel much so terminology is pretty much my own . I believe that I have one sheet, which then changes into different numbers of pages depending on the page size I set, so with these examples 4 pages. 14 tables and one chart at this time
    The tables on the second screenshot were the only way I could figure out how to retrieve the data for the final table and chart (% Total Monthly Expenses)
    Now what I want to do is for each (or in fact the three largest) budget categories is to give a breakdown of what in that category is, percentage wise, costing the most. Preferably, I want to get this breakdown category information automatically so that human error is ruled out (that I cannot overlook an entry in the any of the tables in my first example). Perhaps I am asking too much, but I thought it was worth asking!

    You can use the web enabled portal of ASWE. This can be found in one of the folders:
    oracle home/panama/server/portal/Login.jsp
    oracle home/panama/server/papz/
    please add an alias to your apache webserver so that you can run the Login file. Once your are logged in you can add alert addresses and alerts.
    Be aware that you need to configure an sms server if you would like to create alert services for mobiles. You can also add an email adress.

  • How to alert based on precentage?

    Hi All,
    I've table like below. Now i've to create an alert based on the Percentage column.
    If the value is -ve Red and +ve Green. For now i've done it by taking <0 is Red and >0 as Green.
    I don't know if this approach is right or not.
    The percentage is calculated manually here. First I've fetched the previous days Charged Usage Minutes in a Variable and then calculated percentage using the below formulae.
    Formulae used for Previous Day Mins:
    =RelativeValue([Charged Usage Minutes];([Event Start Date]);-1)
    Formulae used for Percentage:
    =If
      IsNull([Prev Day Mins])
      Then

    Hi naren,
    No need to append *100+"%", it makes numbers as text. instead you can use percentage in Format Number.

    1) Transaction RZ20 is used for creating monitors in CCMS, select Extras --> Activate maintenance functions.
    2)Go to monitor (set) --> create, you will get to the following screen:in transaction RZ20 select extras --> activate maintenance functions.
    3)Go to monitor (set)--> create, you will get to the screen:
    4)click <<< new monitor>>> and select create nodes (F5) button from the toolbox icon.
    5)select rule node and hit the continue button.
    6)in the next dialog select CCMS_DEFINE_R_SYSTEMS as the rule definition and hit the continue button.
    7)Now select <CURRENT> from the match code for the R3 system parameter value and hit the continue button.
    Note: pls remember that we are creating a rule Based monitor: we need to make sure NO object checked from the selectable MTE tree.
    8) The next step is to create the virtual node to group all the MTEs that we should select from the MTE classes shown in point a. TO do this ,
    click on CCMS_DEFINE_R3_SYSTEMS if it is not already selected and hit create nodes (F5) button from the toolbox. now select
    virtual node and hit the continue button.
    9)in the name field write something like: test rule based monitors and hit the continue button.
    10) now click under test rule based monitors to select them and then hit on create nodes (F5)
    choose Rule based and hit continue button.
    11) On the next screen select CCMS_GET_MTE_BY_CLASS as the rule name and the hit the hit the continue button.
    12)Now we need to add each MTE class from point a. to tje following screen on the MTE class
    paramater value. select all of them and hit continue button.
    13) the next step is to include all MTE classes already defined in point a. you will need to repeat these steps for each
    additional class you want to add to the monitor set.
    14) After all classes has been included into the monitoring set hit the save button from the toolbox.
    15) you will be prompted for a monitor name , write something meaningful.
    The new Monitor set should be display

  • Xcode ERROR: Failed to create an alert for ID "enabled" based on defaults: 1

    I installed OX 10.8 and xcode 4.4 and when I run any simple application for simulator it generated error in console:
    Xcode[7808]: ERROR: Failed to create an alert for ID "enabled" based on defaults: 1
    I reinstalled with clean xcode, but it did not help.  I see the building freeze when "coping 2 of 2 resources to product
    Also, xcode freezes when I jusy click on Mainstoryboard.storyboard file.
    I found a few posts with the same ERROR but no clear fix.  Any help will be appriciated.

    Hi, i had the same problem yesterday and after searching I found no solution to this error.
    Today i just burned the original Mountain Lion.dmg to a portable hard driver then reinstall the OS. And it seemed that the os had been restored and the error had been fixed.
    And, i guess there's some app that changes some documents of the system. So when you rewrite the os, u get the bug fixed.

    Steps of alert configuration :
    Prerequisites
    The following prerequisites have to be met in order to use the Alert Management (ALM):
    u2022 For using the Alert Inbox (BSP based display program of ALM), the corresponding service has to be activated in the service maintenance transaction SICF. Choose Default_host ® sap ® bc ® bsp ® sap ® alert inbox, and Activate in the context menu.
    u2022 For customizing or administration of the Alert Management the corresponding authorization role has to be assigned. The end users do not need any additional authorization.
    u2022 The central alert server must be maintained as an RFC destination in transaction SM59 in the local system. If there is no suitable user, you have to create a user for the RFC connection in the central alert system in transaction SU01. To make this RFC destination known as the RFC destination of the Alert Management System in the local system, the central alert server must also be selected as the RFC destination in transaction SALRT1 of the local system or in Settings ® RFC-Destination of Alert Server.
    If the central alert server is running on the local system in the same client, you do not have to maintain an RFC destination. In this case, you can simply enter NONE in transaction SALRT1.
    u2022 If external communication types, such as e-mail, SMS, and fax are used, these communication types must be correctly configured in SAPconnect, because the alerts are then sent from the central alert system via SAPconnect.
    Process Flow
    The following describes the process flow from alert configuration (transaction ALRTCATDEF) to alert display and confirmation (for example in the alert inbox transaction ALRTINBOX):
    1. Optional: You can define alert classifications. These are useful to group alert categories. For example, you can create an alert classification CRM that contains alert categories referring to CRM. Alert classifications can now have subclassifications. This enables you to build up your own classification hierarchy. Especially, if you use the Alert Mangement (ALM) extensively, classification and subclassification help you to organize your ALM alert landscape and to have a clear overview.
    2. For different types of alerts you have to define different categories. The category contains various properties and other specifications that define the alerts within that category, for example expiry date, or the escalation recipient. You can define an alert category to suit your business requirements and assign the category to the corresponding classification. For example, for the alert classification CRM you can create the alert categories Contract Cancelled and Decrease in Sales. When the critical situation defined in the alert category arises, the system recognizes this and sends an alert instance of this category to the recipients determined. The alerts can always be found in the display programs configured for the recipient (UWL, application-specific program, or alert inbox). Additionally, the alerts are sent via eventual external communication channels, such as e-mail, sms, or fax.
    3. You have to determine recipients so that the Alert Management knows who the recipients of alerts of a particular category are and that the correct parties are informed.
    4. You can configure the way how alerts are processed. For the general use of the Alert Management you do not have to change the default settings. However, if for example you want to send alerts to third-party systems, or to be able to confirm alerts by SMS/Internet mail, or to have logs written, then you have to configure alert processing.
    5. There is a number of Alert Management administration reports that you must schedule according to your requirements. For example, report RSALERTPROC must be executed in order to enable escalation.
    6. Alerts of a particular category must be triggered by an application at runtime. Triggering alerts can be done in various ways. You can call a function module directly or use middleware components that trigger alerts, such as the Business Object Repository (BOR), Post Processing Framework (PPF), SAP Workflow, or CCMS.
    7. Recipients can view the alerts assigned to them in the UWL of Enteprise Portal, in application-specific display programs, or in the alert inbox. In addition, alerts can be received as e-mail, SMS, or fax, if these external communication channels are configured in SAPconnect.
    8. If the problem causing the alert is solved by a recipient, the recipient can confirm the alert, this means its status is changed and it will not be delivered, escalated, or displayed anymore. Alerts are generally confirmed by the recipient in the display program, such as the UWL or Alert Inbox. However, if an alert is sent by Internet mail or SMS message, it is also possible to confirm it by sending an Internet mail or SMS message back to the SAP system. Alert Management uses inbound processing for this.

    Hi Panduranga,
    Stephen is very right about this - there is no way to copy a business partner.
    However, we have tried in the past to develop this functionality - and also the functionality to change the category after copying.This is some info that will help you while creating a copy program -
    1. The easiest way is to use APIs. Start by calling BUPA_CENTRAL_GET_DETAIL usign the BP number. THis will give you all the central data for the BP - e.g. name, etc. Now, merely feed the output of this module into the module BUPA_CREATE_FROM_DATA. This will create a new BP with the same data of the old BP.
    2. Now that the main BP is ready, you need to start copying the individual datasets - addresses, bank details, roles, Id, industry,etc. This is tricky - the ADD apis - BUPA_ADDRESS_ADD, BUPA_ROLE_ADD, etc can only create one record in a call. So, you need to first get the data of the reference BP using the GET_DETAIL api e.g. : BUPA_ADDRESS_GET_DETAIL, then loop at each returned record, and pass that into the correspinding ADD BAPI.
    3. Be sure to call BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT at the end to commit the data to the DB.

    I currently have a maintenance plan in place that does a backup, re-indexing, etc..  If a task fails, it sends me an email alert.  I would like to add a "T-SQL Statement Task" that will execute a query and send me an email alert based
    on the results of the query.
    For example:   Select Cast(case when count(inventory.items) > 1000 then 1 else 0 End as bit) as SendAlert from Inventory
    The maintenance plan's alert function constraint seems to be triggered whether the Query executed successfully or not RATHER THAN from the Query Result.
    Can I accomplish what I want from within a maintenance plan or is there some other way to do this?

    Are you trying to do something like an alert in javascript?
    Try this:
    1. Create an extension field of type BigText (this can be made hidden through page customization)
    2. Write the following script in your script. I put it on load of the document. you can put it in any event.

    However, you can condition it based on your requirement.

    Do someone knows when to use the "Authorized as" field in the alerts? I have created an alert to know when a work item has been assigned to an specific team but alerts are not being sent.
    I configured like this:

    AND Work Item Type = CUSTOMTASKTYPE
    AND State = To Do

    Based on the description, seems you want to create alert when a work item is assigned to the specific team and make the team members get notified. But your filter is incorrect, please check the screenshot as below:
    You can create a work item alert by using the template of "when a work item is assigned to me". Then click "Edit" after the field of “Send to” to add the account
    of team members in your team.

  • Alerts  based on the Message oriented

             I did Alert configuartion.. that is working fine..  what are the Error messages I'm getting in the SXMB_MONI for each  message I'm getting  an ALERT.. but for all  type of alerts here I'm getting the same message..  But    I want to catagorise the alerts.. Mapping Errors I want to raise an  alert that is clearly specify the Mapping  Exception..    and if the  Receiver system was down means.. I Need to raise an ALERT  that should be indicate Receiver system is Down.. like thse type of mesages i want to  populate in each alerts..
       for this how can we   approach  the solution... please suggest me  do i need to create sepearate alert configuration for each type of message or  what is the procedure..

    If you haveat least Version 7.10.18 then KPro configurations are no longer required. Did you activate Business Function HCM_ERC_SES_1 as this is required for SES? The scenario to choose will depened on whether you are making a new implementation, upgrading without use of SES before or upgrading after using SES with earlier versions. Scenario 1 is for when you have activated HCM_ERC_CI_3 after using earlier versions with HCM_ERC_SES_1 already activated. Scenario 2 is for those who have upgrade and activated HCM_ERC_CI_3 but where using search without SES in their earlier version. Last scenario is when you are making a new e-Recruiting implementation (not upgrading). Also check notes 1426757 and 817145.
    When you try to search are you getting an error? Can you check in SLG1 transaction after trying to search and post the error messages. Also can you execute report RCF_CHECK_SEARCH_SETTINGS as it will point you to the missing configurations points if any based on your version.

  • Alert based on date

    I have a list of SSL certificates and their expiration dates.  I created a column that calculates the date 45 days before the expiration and then a view that only shows those items where the (expiration - 45) > Today.
    I then set an alert for any changes to items in that view.  However, I don't get an alert for items that pop into the view...I guess because the item itself did not change.  Is there a way to send an alert based on date? 
    My SharePoint enviroment is locked down so I can't create custom workflows or connect via Designer.

    Thanks for the idea.  I don't guess it will work as the only option I have when enabling the expiration feature is to delete the item. 
    So far, the best idea I have is a weekly calendar reminder to go look at the view for expiring certificates.
    Before setting the policy you need to go to workflow settings and add a disposition workflow to the list so it is available as an option when you Enable Expiration in the Information Policy Settings.
    After you set the expiration policy to start your workflow, set up an alert on the workflow tasks list you associated with the disposition workflow.
