Creating an email link/contact us pop-up

need to create a link in which other people can contact us
via our website. I do have a "contact us" page i just need to
insert an email popup

>when someone opens my contact us page and wants to leave
a message, reply to email,
>or anything else how can i create an interactive page or
response page
Put a contact form on your contact page. This form would get
processed with a forms processing script that would send the email
to you.

  • Creating an email link within a Muse page?

    I want to create an standalone (not within a contact form) email link in Muse. Do I simply highlight an email address within a text box and apply a hyperlink witht the corresponding email address ([email protected])? Or does it need to be a spearate element/text box to do so?
    Thanks, in advance.

    Hello Stephen,
    You can just highlight the email address and put the email address in the hyperlink field. It will hyperlink the email address and when user will click on it, it will automatically open their default e-mail client with an email having the mentioned email id in the "To" filed.

  • How to create an email link with auto message?

    Hello,
    I have a "mailto:emailaddress" link in an html file, and when
    the recipient clicks the link, I'd like the body of the email to
    automatically contain copy.
    For example, when the recipient clicks the email link, it
    takes them to a new message window and the body of the email will
    read: "Hi, I would like to RSVP for the event at (insert location
    here)! My name is (insert your name) and contact me via email or
    (insert your phone number)."
    How do you do that? Thank you!

    <a href="mailto:[email protected]?subject=Some descriptive
    phrase&message=Hi,
    I would like to RSVP
    for the event at (insert location here)! My name is (insert
    your name) and
    contact me via email or (insert your phone number).">
    Be aware that this is not the best way to receive such
    emails. The mailto:
    link is notoriously unreliable for general use. It depends
    both on your
    visitor having an email client already installed on their
    computer -
    this eliminates public computers, or home users without email
    clients
    installed (more and more it seems) - and on the installed
    email client
    responding to the mailto call. It is also not possible to use
    this method
    *and* send the visitor to a thank you page as well.
    The preferred method would be to use some server-side
    processing to
    formulate and mail the contact information, but this would
    likely require
    some coding skill on your part. However, there are several
    options that
    might help -

  • Trying to create Gmail account creates only email, no contacts or calendar

    11A few months ago, when I was a brand new BB user, I went through several days of headache trying to get my email, calendar and contacts to synch with Gmail. What finally worked was selecting the Gmail option fromt the advanced account settings. BB then automatically created all three -- an email account, a calendar account and a contacts account. Now my mom just also got a BB (also a Q10,  but an older version of the operating system (actually, mine had been the same version, but I had upgraded). I'm trying to set up her accounts the same way and am having problems. For starters, specifying Gmail under advanced options created only an email address. So, I thought maybe the problem was that Mom didn't actually have any entries in her Google calendar, or entries with phone numbers in her Google contacts. I created one in each. Didn't help. Then I thought maybe the behavior was different for the earlier OS version, so I decided to try to create a separte  CardDev account for contacts and CalDev for calendar. I haven't tried the CalDev yet, but, when I try to create a CardDev account and enter all the same Gmail info, I get the following error message: "Your login information for account (Contacts - [email protected]) has changed or is incorrect. Update your login information and try again." So, now I'm stuck.

    How can it be the same? Cardav and caldav are different systems and contacts aren't events. I did do a search for server settings for carddav and found one ref that said just www.google.com, which is actually what I already set it to.
    Anyway, the error isn't telling me it doesn't recognize the server.
    I also don't understand why it isn't just working to set it up as a Gmail type account with email, contacts and calendar all present like I have on mine.

  • Creating an Email Link.

    I'm doing a newsletter, I have the email address in the PDF. How do I insert the link so that the users email application will open up when they click on it? I'm using Acrobat 9 Pro on a Mac.

    You can't edit PDF files in Reader, but if you have Acrobat then you can add a link that points to:
    mailto:[email protected]
    And when clicked it will launch the email client.

  • Email link pops up window in IE

    I have selected text and used the mailto:[email protected] link to
    create an email link. I have tried static text and dynamic text and
    in IE, the mail client pops up, but so does an annoying window with
    "Navigation to Website was cancelled". It seems to work really well
    in Windows version Safari. Is there any way of getting rid of this
    extra window?
    Thanks!
    Jules

    Yes, simplicity was the solution! I had been staring at the
    files for too long and couldn't see the forest through the trees! I
    know that I had used both the behaviors panel and manual
    actionscript. Perhaps I had forgotten to erase one of them. Anyway,
    it's fixed and I'm happy!
    I don't have tons of experience in other coding, but I
    believe that _blank is an html code and so wherever you would use
    html such as in the actionscript, you would have the same issues. I
    could be wrong about that, though!

  • When I create email link the text disappears

    I don't produce websites but I make edits as needed if not too complex. I know this is probably beyond simple but I'm not getting it. I'm trying to create an email link on client contact page. I type in [email protected] Preview in browser. Fine. I highlight the email address. Go to create email button link. Preview in browser. The link is now there but the text is invisible. I'm using DW in CS5. Delete the line. Put the cursor where I want it. I select create email link and type in link name and the email address which are both the same ([email protected]). Not working.
    Update: Googled how to make email link in DW and followed the instructions. Everytime I make a link the text becomes invisible but the link work.

    A wild guess:  Your link color is white on a white background.  Or your link color is black on a black background.   Link colors are usually contained in the sitewide CSS.  Without a URL to your problem page, it's impossible to comment further.

  • Email Link Created in Muse won't work

    This is odd. I can send an email to my client from any email program. But if I select the email link from his webpage (created in Muse), even though the email is correct when an email window opens, the client is not receiving emails. Some get bouncebacks, some don't. I use apple mail and I didn't get a bounceback so I was unaware of the problem. The format I used when creating the email link was mailto:[email protected] No spaces. This is my first stab at Muse so maybe I'm missing something obvious.

    Hi
    On click to mailto: command will open the default email client that is used on computer. So Muse creates the link properly as email process works here, but hard bounce/soft bounce/spams etc are not controlled from Muse end.
    Sending and receiving email should have proper records setup , else these problems can occur.
    Thanks,
    Sanjit

  • How to use Yahoo Mail to send email using email links on webpages

    When I'm on a webpage that has a link to send an email, I cut and paste the the email address (which is the link) and paste it into my Yahoo Mail address bar. However, some webpages don't show the email address as a link. Instead, the link might be "write me" or "send mail", so I can't cut and paste an address.
    If I click on an email link, a window pops up that says "Welcome to Mail" and it states that the assistant will guide me through the steps to configure my email account. To get started, this assistant requires a password that I don't possess.
    So I'm stuck not being able to access an email application that I don't want to use in the first place.
    Is there a way to set up my computer so that I could click an email link on a webpage and have Yahoo Mail pop up?
    If not, is there at least a way to send an email using an email link that doesn't show the email address, without using (what I assume to be) the Apple mail Application? If it is necessary, how do I recover the password for the mail assistant? I'm not aware of ever having used or set up a password before.
    THANK YOU

    If you don't want Mail to open, don't click on the app.  If it's opening at login, right click its Dock icon>Option>de-select Open at Login.

  • Email link question

    What I'm trying to do is create an email link that when the
    customer clicks it, will open up their email client with the To
    line and Subject line filled in. That part I understand. Is there
    any way to replace the email address in the To line with custom
    text, while still sending it to that address?
    For example, instead of showing "[email protected]" in the To
    line, it will show "Name".
    Any help is greatly appreciated,
    Randy

    Not if you are using the unreliable 'mailto:' method.

  • Tip - delete any email address code in the Insert email link prior to use!

    I have been using the email link for a while now. I know its not secure, but in certain cases it can be used - I think.
    Today I found a strange problem.
    I have a recordset with lots of email addresses in it which are shown on an encrypted password and userlevel  protected page.
    The idea is to allow users with fully authorised access to the page to be able to email the other users by clicking on a link and opening their email client.
    The email addresses are displayed as follows on the page:
    <td>Email address:</td>
               <td><?php echo htmlentities($row_clubedit['club_chair_email'], ENT_COMPAT, 'utf-8'); ?></td>
    So after highlighting and copying  the php code, I click on the insert email link in the insert menu.
    The insert panel comes up with some code  in the email link field without me paying any attention to it.
    I paste my code into the text part of the link panel.
    It comes up with the following code:
    <td><a href="mailto:<?php echo $row_joinupset['mail']; ?>"><?php echo htmlentities($row_clubedit['club_chair_email'], ENT_COMPAT, 'utf-8'); ?></a></td>
    Note that thre are now two different recordsets in the email address.These recordsets do exist on the page, but I did not insert the  $row_joinupset['mail'] into the code - Dreamweaver did it.
    Checking further, I find that earlier on the page I had created an email link by the same method using the joinupset recordset. The insert Email Link panel had not cleared the old email address from it's cache, so all the email adresses after the first one pointed to the same email address.
    Because the page showed the correct email address, I did not notice until I tested my code, and found that every one called up the first email address.
    I do not know if this is a bug in Dreamweaver, or why it happens, but it does.
    Tip - delete any code in the email adress field of the insert panel prior to inserting the correct email address code.
    CS5.5 on a 64 bit win 7 machine.

    I have gone though this process yesterday and worked for me.
    I would suggest you to have following things handy before calling Apple
    1. Serial number of apple device which is associated with ur apple id
    2. At least one answer to your old security questions
    3. And you should be logged on to my account page of apple Id so that when customer care demands generation of 4 digit code you can do it.
    This complete process is very simple but may take some time but apple guy was very helpful in my case.
    Also remember the answers to the security questions are case sensitive.
    Good luck

  • Email link not showing up in Firefox

    I have created an email link for [email protected]
    When previewed in IE6 the rollover shows up fine, and the link is
    clickable, but in Firefox it displays as though it isn't linked at
    all. Can anyone help me understand why the email link works fine in
    IE6 but not in Firefox?

    That problem can be solved by changing this:
    #perimeter {
    position:absolute;
    left:10px;
    top:15px;
    width:750px;
    height:449px;
    z-index:16;
    border: thin solid #000000;
    Change the z-index:16; to z-index:1;
    You also have a curious bit in the style block:
    perimeter {
    border-top-width: thick;
    border-right-width: thick;
    border-bottom-width: thick;
    border-left-width: thick;
    border-top-style: solid;
    border-right-style: solid;
    border-bottom-style: solid;
    border-left-style: solid;
    border-top-color: #000000;
    border-right-color: #000000;
    border-bottom-color: #000000;
    border-left-color: #000000;
    Is that supposed to apply to your perimeter div? If so,
    you're missing
    the # in front of the name. You could simplify it to:
    #perimeter {
    border: thick solid #000000;
    Now, while you're testing in Firefox, try increasing the text
    size in
    the browser a notch or two. See how all the text in your
    layers
    overlaps? You've chosen a very fragile way to lay out the
    page.

    Create an email link
    Select the element that you want to link (for example, a word, an image, a rectangle, and so on).
    In the Control panel, click inside the Hyperlink text box.
    Type the email address in the format: mailto:[email protected]
