Creating and modifying LOV in R12

Dear gurus
In R-12 how I can register a new LOV. Moreover, how I can identify that which LOV is attached to some particular field and how i can modify that LOV. OR If I want to remove the LOV from some particular field then ??
Please advise
I shall be ever thankful.

The Finder reports File information. The date and time of the photo are in the Photo's Exif metadata. The Finder has no awareness of this. All photos apps on any system do.

Unfortunately, no. But Adobe does offer a free 30-day trial of Acrobat (absolutely no obligation). So, you could download the trial to fix up the form. For more information, see www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html. Acrobat is also offered on a subscription basis.

Created and modified dates all the same

Clock is displaying the correct time but for all types of files the created and modified dates are all displaying the one date. Any suggestions?

Thanks for your input. I want to keep the files with a 1 or ~1 as it happens and delete the rest. I have written some scripts. I think I could write a script to delete all files with a 1, but of course that is not what I want. I guess
I need a script to delete all files except if they contain a 1. I haven't used a forum since way back in the PC mag days.
Whoops..........I just realized exactly what you were telling me and used your suggestion. I guess I was trying to do more work than I needed. I searched for all files with a 1 in the folder and then moved them to a different folder. Then

I guess thats not possible in in Windows.
But if u r trying it on a unix machine.
You can use Runtime class to call exec on the command
ls -l filename
and then store the result in a file . And then take out the last modified time. But you cant get created time.
Thats a clumpsy way i believe.

How to get record created and modified user name from SharePoint Database?

My SharePoint Portal is in Window Authentication. Some users have added requests to Lists. I want to find user name of the Created By and Modified By.
Only ID is available in the corresponding columns in Content Database table. In which table the users details would store in Content Database.

hi, you can find the user details inside UserInfo Table in content database. But i would suggest not to directly query the content databse not even for select as it will affect the indexes.

Create and setup LOV programmatically

In our application, we are defining view attributes programmatically. And we are trying to setup the LOV for the view attributes. Has anyone tried defining LOV and setup LOV for view attributes programmatically? Thanks in advance.

if you are talking about model driven LOV then I don't think you can do this. Even if you would have it created in the VO, you would then have to build the bindings for this in the pagedef file before you can hook it up to the UI. Dor now it seems that model driven LOV is a designtime feature.
You could build a LOV model, as shown in teh ADF Faces RC component demo and manually create the LOV component to look up the attribute. But then you are still missing the pagedef binding if you use ADF.

I would like to build an Oracle Form to maintain a small XML file in the file system (i.e. Not in Oracle database but in the operating system).
I would like the Form to display existing values from the XML file and the user can update and save content back to the XML file.

Error creating and modifying protection groups

When modifying or creating a new protection group I periodically get a DPM 945 event with this text:

The error seems to have the following pattern:
1. I log on and launch the MMC. Modification of the protection group works.
2. Try to do a second modification and the error occurs.
3. Log out and log back in, relaunch the MMC and I can modify the protection group.
Seems like a bug?

In further testing with the Release Candidate...here is what is happening:
1. Any change to a protection group or creating a new one causes the error.
2. It does not happen the first time when modifying a protection group. Only subsequent modifications.
3. It happens with protection groups with and without Exchange, a change from my earlier statement.

Files transferred via Bonjour have 'Created' and 'Modified' dates changed

Okay, So I drag a file or folder of files to a name in the bonjour window to initiate a file transfer session between me and a co-worker. The transfer goes just fine; however, the "created", "modified", and "last opened" dates have all changed to the time when the file was transferred.
I have never noticed this before. Or, perhaps I just never had reason to view the time stamps.
I have tried transferring files to/from several different workstations running various system configurations. The results all seem the same. ALL the dates in the Get Info window are CHANGED!
What the heck?? Anyone?

If it is a transferred file that is new to that computer then it is likely the modified date will be changed.
I am not sure about the Created date in these circumstances

Change created and modified date

Hi everybody,
I've setup a Sharepoint 2010 server and created a site to replace an existing one, from SP2007.
In this new site, I'm copying over files from the old SP2007, the problem is when I copy the files, the create/modify infos, are with my name.
I know it's possible to change these values for an entire list but how would, I go and change the value for each of the files individually in the list? By using Powershell.

Alternatively, use a 3rd party tool like Metalogix ContentMatrix which is free up to a point - http://www.metalogix.com/Products/Content-Matrix.aspx.

Droplets have wrong date created and modified info

When I create a droplet in compressor 3, the created date is 6/22/07 and the modified date is 6/19/2008. Not a disaster, just wondering if anyone else is seeing this and if it's a symptom of some problem lurking in the wings.

If your operating system is Unix then it will store the file with date modified.
And your file adapter will take Modified date only.

Yes it is possible to add the fieds in the customer Include for Infotype 1. But the fields added here will be viewed in PA as well along with the recruitment infotype.
Thus I find it best that you create a custom infotype specific to recruitment and add the fields that you require in this Infotype.

Captivate crashing while creating and modifying quizzes.

I am trying to create quizzes using Adobe Captivate 4.
The first computer I had problems with was:
Intel Core 2 Duo @2.66 GHz
3.48 GB of RAM
Windows XP
119 GB of free space on hard drive
The second computer I have tried, and the one I am currently using:
Intel Core 2 Duo @2.80 GHz
8.00 GB of Ram
Windows 7 64 bit
134 GB of free space on my hard drive
I am working with quizzes that have less than 15 slides, but may have up to 6 pools of questions depending on the module. Some of the pools have 10 questions. The largest file size I am working with is 2.5 MB.
Captivate has crashed on me while trying to complete all kinds of tasks from importing question pools, to adding slides, to copying and pasting slides from other quizzes. It has crashed with quizzes I have started from scratch and quizzes where I have saved other quiz as a new quiz.
I have tried working on files from the computer hard drive and the server. I have read at least four other threads on this forum and tried all of their solutions and my problem only seems to be getting worse. If I was not so far in my project, I would scrap Captivate altogether and start over with another software, however, that is not an option.
I am open to any suggestions that have worked for other people, please help.

Here are my responses:
The question pools you are importing - we're they created with Captivate 4 or a previous version?Captivate 4 I have experienced difficulties importing question pool files that were from a previous version of Captivate (when I upgraded to 4).
A few other questions - sorry for all the question marks, looks weird...
Is this problem isolated to only quizzes? I am only working with quizzes, so I am not sure.
Do you experience difficulties outside of quiz creation? See previous answer
Have you tried having only one question pool in the file? Yes
Have you tried not using question pools? Yes
What are your publish settings? AS2, AS3, FP9, FP10? Will need to publish to AS2 due to LMS we are using, but haven't tried publishing yet, still creating .cp files.
Can you publish the files? Tested on one and it seemed to publish but when I launch it, it does not seem to work right.
Preview them? Yes
Please let me know if you need anything else.
