Creating and working with multiple windows

My application needs to our more window during run time. when i click a button in front panel it should open an another window (not subvi calling) that contain controls of same vi program. like this i need to do this for all. How can i do??? Help me.!!

Make your VI reentrant and then programmatically spawn new instances. To make the VI reentrant, go to File>>VI Properties. In the Category pull down, select Execution, then select "Preallocated clone reentrant execution".
Here is an example to show you how to programmatically spawn the VI:

(Edit) Just add an invoke node to open the front panel of each clone after the Run VI method.

Goto SE71, enter form name--> click change
1) click in page window command button, Identify the header and footer window
2) single click on Header window and click change button(pencil symbol)
3) identify the fields and change order of the fields

Goto SD-> BASIC functions->Output control->Output determination->Output determination by condition technique->Maintain Output determination for sales documents
Here define all like access sequences, Output types, condition tables and assign them to Program and Forms.
From SE71 copy the script to a Zscript and to modify it to suit your requirements and the same Zscript has to be assigned to Output type, Program in NACE transaction.

I dun really know if it will have mini errors with 98 as I didn't install any 98 on my system, but this board works perfectly fine with my 2000. 2000 is a more complex platform than 98 as it supports more than Windows with NT in it.
If it works well with my 2000 platform, then I think 98 shouldn't be a prob .

How to create a VI with multiple windows/displays?

Hi, I'm new to LabVIEW and just trying to increase my understanding so please bear with me.I want to write a VI where the user is presented with a series of windows and depending on the button, different windows are displayed. What would be the best way to implement this? Is there a way to change the Front Panel all in one VI? Or would it be better to do it using SubVIs? Or separate VIs for each window? I've looked at the Open VI Reference and Invoke Node VIs and can see a possible implementation that way, but I'm still curious if this is the best way. I also considered using tabs, but I want the different "windows" to be unique and not tabs. By "windows" I mean when the user clicks a button, a completely different Front Panel is displayed and the previous one is hidden/closed. Thanks for any help.

First. Yes the property "FP Open" is writable during run time. So you can programatically show and hide the front panels of several sub vis that your main "launcher" can control. Another option is to launch sub-vis that are "Modal" so that they act like dialog pop-ups and float to the top until the user performs some action that closes the sub-vi execution. Personally I use this method frequently for actions like setting test options, selecting test vectors or displaying error information to the user.
But I do want to add a caution, Make sure your user can understand what is going on! By that I mean that you must take into account that most applications have one main interface and, your user is used to this behavior in the applications that they run, so this MUST affect your UI design. Unless you want all of your users to start using the phrase "Well, this is a sdsdsding mess!" you can't get very far away from the typical application UI paradigm. If I ran an app that changed panels, and kept closing where I came from, throughout its normal functions I would become frustrated as a user. As the Developer of that App I would know how I coded it and therefore the switching would make sense to me but, the target user is the person that must deal with it. (And you never know when even the code you develop as a "development aid" will have reuse potential and need to be adapted for a large target audience).

My office is deploying RemoteApps to replace certain locally installed applications. I, and many of my coworkers, have 2-3 monitors and the Windows
+ left and right "snap" function has been an extremely convenient way to juggle multiple windows across multiple monitors. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work with RemoteApp windows. Does anyone know a way to get this working?

Based on my test, I agree with Keith Langmead, it seems Windows key + left or right key cannot work with remoteapp.

I'm assuming you followed a forum like Gizmodo to load the latest version of iOS 7 Beta on your device
Alot of those forums forget to mention, iTunes 11.0.5 will allow you to update to the iOS 7 Beta but your device will no longer work unless you have the developer version of iTunes as well....
I'd suggest you to research how to downgrade back to 6.1.3/4 and wait a few days for the iOS to be released,

ITunes setup on a NAS with multiple windows users - how?

iTunes setup on a NAS with multiple windows users?
I am very confused on what is the best way to handle this setup for my friends family. Any help would be appreciated. Sorry in advance as I know this is a long winded post - I have a feeling this will help others faced with the same issues or questions.
CURRENT SETUP
I have three new Windows 7 machines networked (two desktops and one laptop) that have four users on each - as busy family with children who need the computers for homework, projects, games, etc... The goal of this setup is that any user can log onto any computer and have there documents available to them no matter computer was free to use. I set this up using the library function in Windows 7 and seems to work pretty well.
I have put a Buffalo Linkstation NAS on the system as well. This was going to serve two purposes 1) run some backup software to protect the computers and 2) consolidate the iTunes content in one place for all users. There is also an iPad in the home that I should would be better served by accessing the content on the NAS without requiring any of the computers being on. Dave is thinking about getting some other playback devices like Apple TV so thought a NAS would be a good way to go.
CURRENT ITUNES SETUP - I have created a new iTunes library on the NAS by holding the SHIFT button down while starting iTunes and pointed to that folder on a Share on the NAS. There was no music on the system at the time as we are planning to copy this over from an OLD machine that is now not being used. I have also authorized all the computers and turned on the home sharing feature (although I am not sure what good that does).
This “shift” button trick seesm to also point the default directory there without point to it in the advanced setup tab of iTunes.
I then synced one of the iPods with purchased content on it and synced that to the library after asking me to do so before an update. All the content showed up in the library and was playable - awesome.
I then logged into each user on each machine (yikes) and installed iTunes and used the “shift” trick to connect each users iTunes to the database on the NAS. Everything seems to work - but I have not tested it thoroughly.
SUMMARY
3 new Windwos 7 networked machines
4 identical users on each machine
1 TB Buffalo linkstation
iTunes setup with the folder on a SHARE
all user’s itunes connected to the iTunes folder on the NAS
all computers authorized with home sharing turned on.
one iTunes user account signed in on each machine
multiple iPods and one iPad in the system
QUESTIONS/CONCERNS
Is there a better way to do this on a NAS?
Would home sharing be better in some way?
I understand the NAS should show up under the shared section in iTunes - I assume that would mean that would mean each user has an iTunes library on their documents?
I have read that there may be corruption issues if users on the different machines try to access iTunes at the same time.
Will there be any issues syncing that various iPods with?
Ugh - sorry for the long post and all the questions. I am just trying to find the best way to do this. I wish Apple would put out a best practices document for setups like this. Thanks in advance.

This is a user to user support forum. Your fellow users can offer solutions or workarounds based on their experience with the application. If you think it should work differently drop a line to iTunes Feedback.
For reasons unknown Apple haven't chosen to allow iTunes to be suspended in one profile and active in another. My recollection is that this applies even if each profile has a different library, although it is some time since I've committed a personal test.
I'm not sure why my suggestion make less sense that your current approach?. As I understand it currently everybody is either signed into their own account when they can do something other than work with iTunes, or they sign into the special iTunes account where they can't access any of their other stuff. You don't have to disable fast user switching. Follow exactly the same steps, but make sure everyone closes iTunes before turning the computer over to another user. Disabling fast user switching helps to enforce that action.

How to create an application with a 'Windows' like interface?

I am trying to create an application with an windows like interface where menu selections need to open bound taskflows in a page/window but i can not get it to work. I did the following
- i created a page template with a panelStretchLayout
- added a menuBar with commandMenuItems
- created a start page based on the template
- created bound taskflows with page fragments for all menu items
- placed a dynamic region on the start page which initially shows a taskflow with an empty/blank page fragment
- change the dynamic region taskflow from every menuitem and added partial triggers on the dynamic region for every menu item
When i run the application the first empty page fragment is showed correctly but when i select a menu item the correct new page fragment is showed but it keeps showing a loading data .... hint and seems to freeze. So no data is showed while the underlying datacontrols work while using the bc tester.
Besides this problem i am wondering if i at all am going the right way with this with using a dynamic region? In the final application i will have a total of about 25 menu items over several menus and if they all will be showing in one main dynamic region with partial triggers set to all menu items it may get a bit complex? I saw you can also create a window in a popup which i like even more because it looks like an actual window but this is modal. I would like a bound taskflow to be opened whenever a menu selection is made.
Any pointers or tips or the solution to not showing data?

If have not encountered that problem. Are you sure you have a taskflow entry under the executables tag in the page definition of the page which has the dynamic region on it? I have one like this:

During the selection of its initial value when it is rendering for the first time it should have the session bean already initialized. My bean looks like this:
