Creating attestation tasks using code

Is there anyone out there with experience of creating new attestation process tasks (APT table) and reassigning specific attestation task details (ATD table) to the new attestation process tasks?
My situation: I have a resource object that is assigned to the person that I want to perform the attestation. I create the attestation normally but the only choice I have is to assign all tasks to a single individual or to the user's manager. I choose a single individual. Once this attestation runs I want to reassign each task to a different user, however, there is only one task (APT record) created and all the task details (ATD records) are associated with that one task. I need to create new tasks for each request and associate the two. I have been able to reassign attestation tasks from one user to another by simply changing the usr_key on the APT table record but I am not sure if I can just insert a new row in the APT table and set all values to associate it with the proper ATD and ATR records and not muck something up in the attestation process.
Feel free to criticize my idea, all feedback is welcome. Thanks!

Kevin,
Thank you for your reply. Could you please give me some details on the API you are refering to? This might directly solve my dilemma. I found no methods in the javadocs for AttestationDefinitionOperationsIntf or AttestationOperationsIntf for reassigning the attestation request details to a different user.

  • Creating folio's using code/scripting?

    Hi,
    I would like to know if there's a possibility to create/upload folios using code or scripting, for example using InDesignServer.
    Maybe there's a SDK available for the Digital Publishing Suite?
    Thanks

    Yes that's my understanding for Javascript, with clarification that with "compile them all into animated GIF through script" using some external program (e.g. check out ImageMagick). Whether that is an OK solution depends on what you are trying to do (just for own internal use or distribution).

  • How to set Mandatory Choice field while Creating Custom Task using Sharepoint Designer 2007

    Hi,
    I am new to Sharepoint development.I dont know whether i am posting  the question in Correct place.Kindly redirect me to the correct place if i am posting it in wrong place.
    I  created a custom task in Sharepoint Designer 2007 using
    Collect Data from User
    Action.
    I created a field in the task form which is of choice type and
    unchecked allow blank values
    because i  wanted that field to be a mandatory field.When i handled that task ,i was able to complete that task
    without selecting that mandatory field.But, I was expecting not to allow me to complete the task without selecting that field. Kindly  tell me how to set the choice field as mandatory.

    Hi,
    You are using SharePoint Designer 2007, so I moved the thread to the appropriate forum for MOSS 2007.
    This is by design that
    Workflow-generated form (for action Collect data from User) does not perform validation properly on drop-down choices, the workaround is to use JavaScript to perform the field validation.
    This thread has the JavaScript code can help you:

  • Check for mandatory fields while creating EP users using code .. :|

    Hello All,
    I have a code using which I can create user accounts/EP users on Portal, am working on EP6 SP9 & SP12.
    <u>My query</u>:
    1. <i>From Portal's perspective</i> -> While creating EP users, there are few mandatory fields like user-id, FirstName, LastName, Email-id and Password. If any of the above fields is null/empty, Portal would give us an error message.
    2. <i>From coding perspective</i> -> Here, only the user-id is required. Even if I do not enter/fill any of the above mentioned mandatory fields (except user-id), user account is created.
    In case wherein FirstName/LastName is not mentioned, Portal shows the userid in the Welcome Frame, i.e. Welcome <user-id>. Tried this by commenting the statements contains the methods related to setting/accepting FirstNme and LastName of user.
    <b>I want to know if this is all rite?
    If no, then please guide me as to how can I set mandatory fields in my code.</b>
    Awaiting Reply.
    Thanks and Warm Regards,
    Ritu R Hunjan

    Hi Ritu,
    >>please guide me as to how can I set mandatory fields in my code??
    In ur jsp file or in the controls code add the following attribute
    <hbj:label id="userIdLabel"
               text="User ID"
               labelFor="userIdInput"
               design="HEADER3"
               required="true"/>
    and to check the mandatory entry for that field do this in the submit button
    <hbj:button id="insert"
                text="Submit"
                design="emphasized"
                onClick="save"
                onClientClick="if(!isMandatory()) htmlbevent.cancelSubmit=true;;"/>
    and in the javascript write the client validation code.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to create parallel tasks using parallel for loops

    Hi,
    I am setting up a program that communicates with six logic controllers and has to read the system status every 100 ms. We are using OPC datasockets for this, and they appear a little slow.
    I have created a uniform comm. method for all controllers, and now I find myself programming this method six times to communicate with each system. I am wondering if this could be done more elegant using the parallel for loop, in which case I would program an exchange once and then have six workers running simultaneously. Since a picture is more clear that a thousand words, what I am asking is this:
    Is it possible to replace something like
    by
    and have this for loop running these tasks in parallel (on different cores / in different threads)?
    I have configured the loop to create 8 instances at compile, so I would have 2 instances surplus available at runtime if I find I need an additional system.
    The benefits of the method show in the second picture to me are:
    * takes less space
    * modifications have to be made only once
    * less blocks, wires and stuff makes it more clear what's going on.
    * flexibility in the actual number of tasks running (8 instances available at runtime)
    * if more tasks are required, I need only to update the maximum number of instances and recompile, i.e. no cutting and pasting required.
    Unfortunately, I don't have those system available yet, so there's no way to test this. Yet, I would like to know if the above works as I expect - unfortunately the labview help is not completely clear to me on this.
    Best regards,
    Frans
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Dear mfletcher,
    First of all: thanks for confirming that my intuition was right in this case.
    As for your question on the help: below is a copy/paste from the help on the 'configure parallelism dialog box'
    Number of generated parallel loop instances—Determines the number of For Loop instances LabVIEW generates at compile time. The Number of generated parallel loop instances should equal the number of logical processors on which you expect the VI to execute. If you plan to distribute the VI to multiple computers, Number of generated parallel loop instances should equal the maximum number of logical processors you expect any of those computers to ever contain. Use the parallel instances terminal on the For Loop to specify how many of the generated instances to use at run time. If you wire a larger number to the parallel instances terminal than you specify in this dialog box, LabVIEW only executes as many loop instances as you specify here.The reason for me doubting if what I programmed would work the way I intended lies in the fact that the help only mentions processors here, which would be interpreted as actual cores. Thus on a dual core machine, the number should be 2.
    I think it would be helpful to mention something about threads here, because in some case one would like to have more parallel threads than there are cores in a system.
    In mu case I would like to create six threads, which on my dual core processor would be spread over only two cores. Then these six threads run in parallel.I know that in case of heavy math that would not help, but since I am doing communications, which have timeouts and such, and that probably runs smoother in six parallel tasks even though I only have two cores.
    Hope this helps in improving the help of the for loop.

    Frans

    I don't know.  I suppose it is just stuff left over from years ago which they forgot to correct.  Pages 2 (2006) was able to generate html for web pages, but later versions lost this feature, which many thought was of very low quality.

  • Using InfoPath form to create a task item in SharePoint 2013

    Hi,
    I have a requirement where I have to use InfoPath to create a task with attachments in a SharePoint 2013 List B.
    I have to query a SharePoint Document Library A to display documents on the InfoPath form.
    The user should be able to select the documents using checkboxes that he wants to attach to the task created.
    When he clicks on the "Create Task" button, a task is created with the attachments in a SharePoint list B.
    Also, the documents that are attached are then deleted from the SharePoint Library A.
    Will the above require programming and does it have to be done on the SharePoint 2013 Server?

    Hello Anirban,
    As we can't change the layout of Smartfrm dynamically we have to fix it.
    1. Just Create a table structure of 5 equal sized column.
    2. Now create a structure in TYPES
        TYPES : BEGIN OF i_table,
                        FIELD1(15) type c,
                        FIELD2(15) type c,
                        FIELD3(15) type c,
                        FIELD4(15) type c,
                        FIELD5(15) type c,
                     END OF i_table.
    3. Now create a table in "FORM INTERFACE"
    4. Display the same in your smartforms.
    Now in your Print program create the same table as above.
    1. Now you can move the first 5 fields data from your dynamic internal table to the interface table.
    2. You can add up a popup saying only first 5 fields can be displayed.
    Note : if the field length is bigger then you have to use a variable to cut out only first 15 character to put it into the interface table.
    Hope this hint helps you a bit to gather some knowledge for your requirement.
    Cheers,
    Suvendu

    Hi,
    while creating Maintenance order using t-code iw31 Maintenance work center not picking from drop down (already have in drop down)but giving manually accepting.
    --Ganesh

    Hi,
    My understanding is that the selected work center is not copied into the input field. This can be corrected with note [1451299|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1451299]. Check if the note is relevant for your system.

    Files can be created by PL/SQL code and stored in the Oracle database as CLOBs. This a fairly easy and robust process. It runs entirely in the database. It conforms to transaction processing. The "file" (as a CLOB) resides in the database and can thus be secured via database security, is part of database backups and so on.
    The basic issue is how to deliver the contents of the CLOB to the user. If via FTP, then the database can directly FTP the contents of the CLOB to the FTP server as a file. If via HTTP, the database can deliver the CLOB as a HTTP download directly to the web browser.
    If the client is Java or .Net, then the CLOB contents can be delivered via SQL or DBMS_LOB or a custom PL/SQL interface.
    In such cases, there is no need to step outside the secure and flexible database environment and create a physical o/s file in the wild (outside the controls of database security, data integrity and transaction processing). This is thus recommended and is the preference.

  • Create Multiple tasks for Single Item in List using state machine workflow in sharepoint

    Hi,
    I want to create multiple create tasks for Single Item in List based on Assigned to column using state machine Workflow through visual studio
    Here Assigned to column allows multiple users. so i have to create task for every user based on column .
    I'm trying for this but i didn't got any solution
    Please provide solution for this.

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to allow multiple users to approve.
    There are some articles about creating parallel tasks in state machine workflow, you can have a look at them.
