Hi,
You may want to post in [E-business suite|http://forums.oracle.com/forums/category.jspa?categoryID=3] forum as this is a standalone forms forum.
However, for your error, have you tried setting the FORMS60_PATH environment variable (to the folder where you have all the apps related fmbs/mmbs/plls/olbs) before starting the forms builder (Or append to the FORMS60_PATH in your f60desm.sh).

  • Video or step by step tutorial link for create forms using template.fmb

    Hi,
Give me link which provides step by step tutorial or video tutorial for the following:
    1. where should i save the template.fmb and library files in my local machine
    2. how to create customize form using template.fmb
    3. how to do test run that form in local machine (i'm asking this because the template form having reference to app libraries)
    3. how to convert .fmb to .fmx
    4. how to register that form in apps
i understood about how to do the above process through existing threads in this forum, but i getting lot of errors and confusion while i'm implementing. so please tell me steps or give link which provides details.

What Forms version are you using? While you're at it, what is your database and OS versions also? Can you provide us with an example of the type of errors you are getting?
(i'm asking this because the template form having reference to app libraries)Developing Forms for Oracle Enterprise Business Suite (EBS) is different from non-EBS applications because of the EBS Framework and standard processing that occurs.
Your BEST resource for developing EBS Forms is the Oracle Applications Documentation library. Select your EBS version and then find scroll to the Standards section and review the following documents:
    <ul>
    <li>Oracle Applications Developer's Guide
<li>Oracle Applications User Interface Standards for Forms-Based Products
    <li>Oracle Application Framework Personalization Guide
    </ul>
For most of your questions, you'll find the answers in the aforementioned documents.
    1. where should i save the template.fmb and library files in my local machineMy guess is that many of the errors have to do with attached libraries. The APPSTAND.fmb, TEMPLATE.fmb and all of the Apps Libraries (.pll) must be in the FORMS_PATH. Which means you will need to modify the FORMS_PATH registry entry for your Forms version (6i or 10g) and EBS version (R11 or R12).
    3. how to do test run that form in local machine (i'm asking this because the template form having reference to app libraries)You can't - there are too many EBS Framework calls that will generate errors when the form runs outside of the EBS Framework. You have to test your form in a Test/Dev EBS system.
    3. how to convert .fmb to .fmxUse the Forms compiler executable. (frmcmp.exe - on Windows)
    4. how to register that form in appsThis process is too indepth to explain in the Forum - read the Administrator Guides ;-)
I get the feeling you are trying to learn this on your own rather than attend a class. My advise is to attend some classes. They are well worth the investment! :)
As to videos, you might want to try searching uTube. I've seen some Forms tutorial videos out there in the past.
Lastly, your best source of 'Forum' help is the General EBS Discussion forum.
    Hope this helps,

  • How to develop forms using TEMPLATE.fmb

    hi,
Anyone Should suggest me clear tutorial/links to learn forms development using TEMPLATE.fmb with step-by-step development procedure including forms development, register in apps.
    Thanks in advance.

Abdetu is right, General EBS Discussion is the more appropriate forum for this question. Having said that, creating a new form based on the TEMPLATE.fmb just ensures your EBS Custom form has all of the basic EBS requirements for a EBS form. Developing for the EBS Framework has many requirements and I strongly recommend you review the Oracle Applications Documentation library. Select your EBS version and then scroll to the Standards section and review the following documents:
    <ul>
    <li>Oracle Applications Developer's Guide
<li>Oracle Applications User Interface Standards for Forms-Based Products
    <li>Oracle Application Framework Personalization Guide
    </ul>
If you are looking for general "Forms" tutorials, here are a few good links. Although a few of the following links are for older Forms versions, the concepts are still valid across all Forms versions.
    <ul>

  • How to create Test Form using TEMPLATE.fmb in APPS

    Hi,
I need to create a Test Form (Extend oracle Forms) and deploy it in custom ASO_TOP.
When I opened TEMPLATE.fmb(AU_TOP) i received following error.
FRM-18108 Failed to load the following objects.
    Source Module:APPSTAND
    Source Object:Standard_PC_AND_VA
    Source Module:APPSTAND
    Source Object:Standard_Toolbar
    Source Module:APPSTAND
    Source Object:Standard_Calendar
How can I resolve this error and proceed forward.
    Thanks,
    Mithun

It means that the Test form has a reference to those objects and it can't find them. You need to make those files (forms and/or libraries) available to Forms Builder.

  • We can't create form using dblink  and synonim

We have created a dblink pointing to a table in the remote database.
When we create a form based on table or view using this dblink, we get the error "page not found".
    We read from
Re: I can't create form using dblink
that we must create a synonim, and this was done creating one in the same schema of the db-link using the "Database Objects" of oracle portal 10g (external db is an oracle 9.0.2).
The new synonim work (tested with reports and pl/sql page)
but if we click on "Grant Access" (of the synonim) we get the following error :
Error: The underlying object of the synonym does not exist, is a remote object or is not of type function, procedure, package, sequence, synonym, table or view. (WWV-17076)
Does form work only with table and view of the portal database (not external one)? or have we loose something in the creation of the synonim?
Have someone succesfully created a form based on a db-link towards an external database?
    Thanks to all.

Hei guys, has nobody created succesfully a data-driven forms based on a dblink towards an external database?
    I can't believe this!!!!

  • Create and use templates

    Hi, experts,
When i created a document from a template, why i can't find the template( which i have created and activated in the system configuration) in the selection?
    Thanks!

    Hi sandy,
    follow these steps
    Check and Configure the
    Template Service
    Task:
Check the template service is activated and define the location of templates and
    template groups.
    1. Log on as EP300.A-## to check that the template service is running and
define the location of the template groups and templates.
    a) In the top level navigation, choose System Administration &#8594; System
Configuration and navigate to Knowledge Management &#8594; Content
Management &#8594; Global Services &#8594; Template Service. If Template
Service is invisible in Global Services, choose Mode &#8594; Advanced.
    b) Ensure that in Template Service, the Active box is checked. Note
the paths for the template groups and templates. The default path
    is/documents/Templates.
    c) Choose Show Advanced Options if the Active box is missing.
    2. Create the folders that have been defined in the configuration for templates
    and template groups.
    a) Choose Content Administration &#8594; KM Content &#8594; documents.
    b) Choose Folder &#8594; New &#8594; Folder.
    c) Enter the name Templates and choose Save.
    d) Open this folder and create a new folder for the templates. The folder
must have the same name as that defined in the configuration, so use
    SingleTemplates.
    e) Create now a folder for the template groups in folder Templates. The
folder name must be the name defined in the configuration, so use
    TemplateGroups.
    Create and Use Single
    Templates
    Task:
Upload documents that will be used as templates. Activate these templates for a
specific folder and create new documents based on these templates.
    1. Upload the documents Exercise.doc, Solution.doc, and Unit.ppt from
\Courses\EP300 62\Exercises\Template Service on the training share to the
    folder SingleTemplates.
    a) Choose Content Administration &#8594; KM Content and navigate
    todocuments/Templates/SingleTemplates.
    b) In the SingleTemplates folder, choose Folder &#8594; New &#8594; Upload.
    c) Choose Browse to locate the file in \Courses\EP300
62\Exercises\Template Service, for example, Exercise.doc, and choose
    Open.
    d) Choose Upload and repeat these steps for the other documents.
    e) When all the templates have been uploaded, choose Done.
    2. Activate the templates Exercise.doc, Solution.doc, and Unit.ppt for the
    documents## folder.
    a) Locate the documents## folder. Navigate to the folder by choosing
Content Administration &#8594; KM Content and select documents/Public
    Documents/documents##.
    b) Click on the context menu for documents## and choose Details &#8594;
    Settings &#8594; Templates.
    c) Select all the templates (select the checkboxes) and choose Save and
    then Close.
    3. Create new documents in the documents## folder based on these templates.
    a) Within the documents## folder, choose Folder &#8594; New &#8594; From
Template and choose a template. Because the templates have been
activated only in this folder, the template selection is also only available
    for this folder.
    b) Enter a name and choose Save.

  • I can't create form using dblink

I have created a dblink (public) pointing to a table in the remote database. Also I have created some reports using this dblink and it works fine. The problem is that when I create a form based on table or view using this dblink, I get the error "page not found".
    Can anybody help me?
    Thanks!!

You need to create the link in the public schema. I can't remember if you also have to create the form in the public schema though I don't think that is the case. Remember to grant public access to the link.

    Hi ,
Please check the FSV (field status variant) for your company code in OBY6 .
then go to transaction code OB14 --> enter the FSV --> Check if field status group G006(Material account) is maintained there or not.
    if not please maintain it.

  • Create forms using Acrobat

This question was posted in response to the following article: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/acrobat/X/pro/using/WSB3F26303-0F1D-494a-BC55-7BF7F6684B4D.htm l

Just found the solution (and it worked):
If for some reason “Enable Additional Features…” is greyed out, make sure that you are not still in the form editing mode.  Under the tasks panel (usually in the right-hand column) click the “Close Form Editing” button and it should solve your problem.
