Creating HELP in application

I have a form where certain fields are required. These fields appear as links. When I place the mouse over the name of the required field, a question mark appears. When I click on the label, another window opens and says there is no help for this field.
Where do I go in APEX to add text so there is actual text for "help"?

Every item has a help. Edit the item, and go down to the bottom. You will have a place to write help. It is above Comments section. You can also write page level help. Edit the page, and enter help text in the Help section.

Help with Creating A New Application Form

Hi, completely new to this and trying to create a new application form for a conference.
I've created the form and set each of the packages delegates can buy and added a select button on the right hand side of each of the 6 packages but I can't seem to get it to the point where only one package can be selected - each has details ie B&B and dinner etc so I want delegates to select the one they want beside it.
Also I've managed to create the link to create the email address to populate to send it back but it isn't attaching the completed form - how do I do this?

as I know, you can change your cursors by system software or/and browser. On the other hand you can use programs "outside" of your DW. I suggest to "Google" for them, as I did, and found for example this:

Need help in creating a sample application using Oracle I\PM 10gR3.

Issue while creating a new application in Hypeiron Planning

Hi,
When I am trying to create a new application in Hyperion Planning - the below log is coming...
Planning server started fine in 4328 ms ( as shown in the below log) but once I click the finish button to create the new application its then I am facing with the issue and the same error is repeating in the Planning server..
but I could see the new application in EAS console - but when I cannot see the application in workspace or planning web..
When I restart the planning server - the same error is repeating - but when I delete the application from EAS and then RECONFIGURE Planning(database, instance and datasouce of planning )in shared services and restart the planning server the error is going of (most probably because all the old tables are being dropped in the database)
Please help me resolve the issue.

the error I am getting in appwizard - "error occured while creating application - please check the log"
and if I am using the same schema - i.e. same userid and database for both planning system and planning application I was getting the previous error

I'm a newbie in FDM. I'm accessing Workbench Client from my local machine(Windows XP). When I choose to create a new application it is giving this error: "-2147220992- Error in EnumProjects"(clsAppMgr.mDisplayNewApp).

Hello,
As it appears you have multiple issues (Workbench Win32 issues, IIS issues, SharedServices issues, etc.) I would suggest you create an SR to have someone from support help you from a complete perspective. Issues that spread out of more than 'one single issue' are hard to diagnose via the forums and do not offer a speedy response as we can not see anything about your environment.
Keep in mind Support sometimes can not fix your "environment" but only point out what was done wrong during the installation/implementation. It is at that point your priority to work internally to find the resources to address the issues.

Getting error "Your session has expired. Restart this wizard to continue" when I create / configure service applications

Last week, I installed 3 virtual servers (WFE, APP and DB).
When I started to create the service applications on the app server, several of them gave me the following error at the end:
"Your session has expired. Restart this wizard to continue. "
Although the error occured, they actually are created. But I'm having difficulties with the Secure Store Service. I try to add a new Target Application and when I click Next, I get the same error.
I tried to delete the application and recreate it. Tried to stop/start the Secure Store Service. I'm doing this as a local admin on the server (which was also used for installation and configuration of Sharepoint).
No events in the eventlog. There is some logging in the ULS :

The funny thing is... the service applications which I expected to give me some kind of trouble, are working perfect (User profile sync, Search). I installed numerous servers in the past 3 months and this is the first time I'm running into this and it's
driving me crazy.

After searching and searching, I found something...

And the first reply caught my attention.
It says that if your servername contains an underscore, these kind of errors might occur.
And for sure, my servernames contain underscores. DOH!
I'm going to change it and recreate the farm... just to be safe. Will get back with the results.

How to create custom BSP application in SAP CRM?

Hi Experts,
I would like to seek help from you. I am new in developing CRM objects. My first requirement is to create a custom program that will generate a PDF report.
First thing I would like to know is the transaction code where I need to create a BSP application that will be able to run in crm webclient. Please clarify if it is in BSP_WD_CMPWB or in SE80 because it is said that I should create BSP application using MVC.
Second thing is how will I be able to call a smartforms in a BSP application. The scenario for my custom program would be, I should have a two input fields in the selection-screen which are Business Partner ID and Product Lines. together with a button that will trigger the form when ticked.
Hope to hear from all of you. Your help will be very much appreciated.

!. When you build java application in NetBeans (standard one) you just click 'Build' or 'Clean and Build' and your jar file is waiting for you inside 'dist' directory of your project
2. Connecting MIDP application to the server running PHP scripts is not a problem, just connect using simple HTTP with GET or POST and you are done, google on it!
3. You can connect to the database using some kind of PHP/JSP/ASP or whatever application you want and then using method from point 2 to send and retrive values, you can do it with web services as well, possibilities are endless

How to create a new application in APEX based on a VIEW

Hi all
I am a newbie to this tool. I am trying to create a new application with the wizard and choosing a repor/form. I want to use a VIEW and not a table to base the applications on but do not see the view in the drop down list to choose it. In the screen itself the definition of a Report and Form page says a user can update a table or view. Yet I do not see a way to choose the view.
Can someone make a suggestion on how to choose a view to base an application?

Hello user533722 (please tell us your name - we're a friendly group),
Is your view in a different schema than the one the tables are in? If so, you need to grant permission on the view to the Parsing Schema defined for that application (go into Shared Components > Definition to see what the parsing schema is). Then you should be able to see the view in the dropdown.

I suspect that this is caused by an "incorrect" datasource definition when you create a new one.
I noticed that when I created an Essbase DB through the Essbase Enterprise Admin Service, it only allowed me to create one for localhost, not my server name EVEN if when the "Manage Data Source" validated the connection.
This points to one of the myriad of apps inconsistently trying to resolve a server name.
So, in EAS, see if you can connect to your local Essbase install and if successful, use the exact same params for you Workspace Application.

Error in Creating New Web Application SharePoint 2013

Everything was working fine but today when i try to create a new web application i am getting the following error.It's happening whenever i am trying to create a new web application.
The directory C:\inetpub\wwwroot\wss\VirtualDirectories\26060 is already being used by another IIS Web Site. Choose a different root directory for your new Web application.
But this port 26060 was not being used before and if i try to create new web application again then the error message occurs with the port number of the new web application.
Please help.

Are you using a host header when creating these web apps? If so have you tried creating without a host header? Also are you logged in with the Server with the Admin account? Check this out: (taken from Jeremy Taylor's
blog)
" 1. Ensure you have a proper dns name / entry in the hosts file of your server for the new url you are wanting to create.
2. Ensure you have typed in the ‘host header’ typed in when creating the new web application.
3. If this doesnt work, open IIS Manager – Start>run> inetmgr> and verify the home directory – it could be located on a different drive."
Also have you tried creating through Powershell and see if you run into the same issue or not?

Error Trying to create a planning application 9.3.1.2

Hi,
I have a problem when I try to create a new application in Planning.
I re installed a new server from scratch with the lastest version in Oracle eDelivery (9.3.1.2), using DB2 as database.
All is working fine (shared service, essbase, eas ...) never got an error, but i'm not able to create a planning application, I have an error at the end of the process using: http://server:8300/HyperionPlanning/AppWizard.jsp.
For information, I have 4 different databases in DB2 (Shared Services, Essbase, Planning and the Planning Instance).

I think it is something related to DB2 (on a different server), but i don't know what...

It looks like it is around the DB2 set up.
In the errors you posted :-
No default primary tablespace exists for the new table
Unable to create Scehma for application
So maybe it is down to tablespace or permissions
Be sure to see the sections in the installation guide regarding DB2, also any information in the 9.3.1 readme
