Creating HTTPS Service in AS ABAP

Hi, experts,
I'm an ABAPer, I have a question that how can I create HTTPS service in AS ABAP?
I've created HTTPS service with transaction code SMICM, but system notices me each time
'WARNING: Your changes will be lost when you restart the ICM'. Does it need any more configuration
in R/3 system profile(RZ10)? Could you pls. show me the variable I should set even an example?
Thank you so much!
Best regards
David Hu

Yes
you have to activate parameters through RZ10 for activating HTTPS in AS ABAP
This should be the parameters
icm/server_port_1  = PROT=HTTPS, PORT=1443
Also make sure that parameter: icm/host_name_full = <hostname>.<dns> is also set
Refer to http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/EN/56/2e453cabf4ef6fe10000000a114084/content.htm
for more detailed info, you would be able to start https service after setting this parameter.
Let me know of any issues

  • Issue in creating web service for a ABAP Function Module

    Hi,
now i'm learning how to create web service for a ABAP Function Module. I used the following steps.
    1. select the Function Module, named "zws_test".
    2. in the context menu, select "create->proxy object". so we enter into wizard.
    3. in the wizard, press the radio button "Service Provider".
    4. in the next page, press the radio button "Existing ABAP Objects(Inside Out)".
    5. In the next page, Enter the "zws_test_prvider" as Service Definition and select "Function Module" as Endpoint Type.
    6. in the next page, enter "zws_test" as Function Module and mark the "Mapping der Namen" button
    7. in the next page, select "PRF_DT_IF_SEC_LOW" as Profile and mark "Deploy Service".
    8. Save in the local package.
    9. then it will pop up a window with title "WSDL Source". i selected "URL/HTTP Destination" and press "OK".
10.in the next page, i enter the URL as "http://hostname:portnumber/", and press "OK".
    11. then it will pop up a window with title "Display logs". A record with error message "HTTP error(return code 404, message "Not found")" appears.
    12. i press "ok" and a service provider with name "zws_test_prvider" appears in my local package.
    13. i use "zws_test_prvider"'s URL to create a service consumer "ZCO_WS_TEST_CONSUMER" and logic portal "LP1".
    14. But when i test my service consumer "ZCO_WS_TEST_CONSUMER", it will throw an exception "cx_ai_system_fault" with errortext "SOAP:14 Unexpected element -el=definitions ns=http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/".
    15. I use t-code SM59 to test connection  and get the following info.
          Status HTTP Response     200
          Status Text                      OK
          Duration Test Call             328 ms.
who can give me the reasons about item 11 and 14, and explain me how to create service provider and service consumer for a Function Module.
    Thanks in advance

  • How to create a Service Contract ? (ABAP related devlopment)

    Dear All,
How to create a Service Contract ? (ABAP related devlopment)
The Info I have is that
    Service contract will contain:
    u2022     Validity Start
    u2022     Validity End
u2022     Duration u2013 minimum period for contracts
    Additional Info:
    1. Creation of service contract will take place automatically via u201Cfunction moduleu201D. This step will take place if all serial numbers are known in the sales order.
    2. When ever a Sales Order is created in Seibel containing a line item of servie contract I need to create a service contract
    I searched a BAPI -- BAPI_CONTRACT_CREATE
    I searched a Tran  --  VA41- create Contarct ( type - WV - Service and maint)
I am i in right direction ---> , If you have any good solution kindly answer
    Please help.

    Hi Iqbal,
    You can use
    BAPI_CONTRACT_CREATE
    BAPI_CONTRACTS_CREATEFROMDATA .
Once you create the contract, update the technical objects for the contracts
using two function modules called one after another.
    IWOL_WV_ADD_OBJECTS
    IWOL_WV_POST_OBJECT_LIST

  • Create HTTP service to emulate RNIF 2.0 B2B Remote Partner

    Hi,
I want to create a simple soa service to emulate an RNIF b2b partner. This service url will be placed in the RNIF delivery channel for the remote partner. I tried a soap service but did not work, I tried an HTTP binding service but I still get error. Any ideas?
    Oracle SOA/B2B 11.1.1.7
    Thanks

That worked!!! I had kept entering the same value for both the Agreement Id and Agreement Name. I can now have the same Agreement Id CNShipment for multiple Trading Partner Agreements. Only the Agreement Name needed to be unique. Thanks!

  • ESS/MSS custom services or modify standard service with WebDynpro Abap

    Hi all,
what's the procedure to modify standard ESS/MSS or create new service with WebDynpro Abap.
    Thanks.
    Miki

    Hi
First, The ISR Scenarios are not for iviews. They are just a part of a view. We can use webdynpro ABAP with the ISR Scenarios. We need to embed these forms into our webdynpro ABAP views and code accorsdigly to get the data. There are some standard components that are provided by SAP to handle ISR Forms with Webdynpro. Check these.

  • How to create a service for Oracle HTTP Server

    Hi,
I hope someone can help me.
I would like to create a service for an Oracle HTTP Server.
We are running APEX 3.2 on an 10.2.0.4 database (not XE).
We have a Windows XP system.
To run APEX on a 10g we need the HTTP Server.
Unfortunately no service was created while the installing of the Oracle HTTP Server.
How can I create a service later. After the installation.
I know that you can create a service with Instrsrv.exe and Srvany.exe. But I dont know wheather I can use this in this case.
I need an .exe file for that.
    The HTTP-Server has the opmnctl.exe.
But I have to write opmnctl.exe startall when I start or opmnctl.exe stopall when I want to stop it . How can I realize that in a Service?
    Thanks for your answer

  • Problem Creating a HTTP Service in SOAMANAGER

    Hi all,
I am having difficulty in setting up a HTTP Service in SOAMANAGER.
I have generated the Enterprise Service - Service Definition Succesfully in SAP from a RFC Enabled Function Group( this is working fine).
I then go into SOAMANAGER -> Single Service Administration -> Select the Service -> Select the Configurations Tab -> Create Service
The problem I have is that when this comes up under the
Provider Security Tab -> Transport Guarantee -> Communication Security
I do not have a radiobutton for "None" (this is what I want to select to create a HTTP service.)
    I have the options
    - SSL over HTTP (Transport Channel Security)
    - Asymmetric Message/Signature / Encryption
    - Symmetric Message/Signature Encryption
    Secure Conversation
If you see William Li's blog /people/william.li/blog/2010/02/15/how-to-avoid-authentication-when-accessing-ws-provider-service you item 3.6 shows how the screen is supposed to look (with the additional option of "None" as the first radiobutton).
My current workaround is to define the service and then go into SICF, select the service and change the Security Requirement from SSL to Standard on the Logon Data Tab. Although this works it is not the ideal solution.
I'm wondering if there is something we are missing in our soap run time, perhaps a configuration setting we need to set in srt_admin. (I believe this option was there before we did a service pack upgrade)
    Has anyone experienced this before?

    Hi John,
I've experimented something like that before. I think solution was:
    - Search the webservice in SE80, Repository Information System -> Enterprese Services
    - Enter the service definition
    - Go to 'Configuration' tab
    - Click on 'Transport Security'/'Authentication'
    - In profile setting, switch it for 'Low' or 'None'
I believe this will turn available the option you're looking for.
    Kind regards,
    Garcia

  • Error in HTTP framework - 401 unauthorised while creating a service consume

    Hi,
I am trying to create a service consumer in SE80 by specifying a WSDL URL of a webservice ( I created this webservice from an inbound service interface ).....but at the last step it asks for user id and pwd......after specifying the user / pwd it says Error in HTTP framework - 401 unauthorised
what may be the problem....the user has all tha required authorisation as I can use the same user to test in wsnavigator.

In my experience this problem was always found to be around authorizations necessary for execution of specific activity. I would strongly advise you to speak with your Security/Authorization consultant to help you.

  • Urgent ! Creating https proxy service in OSB

    Hi All,
I am trying to create a proxy service with https(1 way) in OSB.I followed these steps,or rather tried.I am trying to use the default SSL keystores(Demo Identity and Demo Trust)
I made sure that the demonstration Identity and Trust keystores are located in the WL_HOME\server\lib directory and configured by default and the cacerts file in the JAVA_HOME\jre\lib\security directory.
But when I tried to create a service key provider in OSB I get this error "<There is no PKI credential mapper provider configured in your security realm. Service key provider management will be disabled. Configure a PKI credential mapper provider if you need service provider support. This is typically the case if you have Oracle Service Bus proxy services with web service security enabled or outbound 2-way SSL connections.>"
And when i try to create a PKI Credential mapper then I encounter this "This page is used to create a PKI credential mapping.
A PKI provider must be created and configured before a PKI credential mapping can be created."
Is there anything that I am missing?
    Please advice ASAP.
    Thanks
    Sridhar

I have done this in my development server and it works fineOnly one service can listen on one port and hence you should assign unique ports to each server in Weblogic domain (including Admin server). Two weblogic servers cann't listen on one port. Make sure that ports assigned to the servers are not already in use by any other application/service including any other Weblogic server.

  • Creating a progress bar on a HTTP Service

    Hello All,
As the top title suggests, does anyone know the best way of doing this? The HTTP service is simply pulling some XML data and I want to inform the user of how long this is going to take or what % it is currently completed.
I dont have much experience with using progress bars so any help would be much appreciated.
    THANKs!

    I found this online but It doesnt seem to work;
If your HTTPService has id of httpService you have to first invoke an eventListener of type ProgressEvent.PROGRESS. On the stage or in your Popup you have to make a progressBar with id (for example myProgressBar)
    httpService.addEventListener(ProgressEvent.PROGRES, progressFunction);
Than you have define a progressFunction that will accept broadcasted ProgressEvent like so
    private function progressFunction(event:ProgressEvent):void{
    myProgressBar.mode = 'manual';
    myProgressBar.setProgress(event.bytesLoaded, event.bytesTotal);
//you can than do something when content is loaded
    if (event.bytesLoaded == event.bytesTotal){
//code for popup removal or removal of progressBar

  • Consuming EJB Web Service in WD ABAP component

    Hi,
I have a scenario where I have Portal KM access methods exposed as EJB Web Service. This web service is deployed on J2EE engine.
And I have to consume this web service from my WD ABAP component controller.
Any idea how this can be achieved?
    Thanks and regards,
    Amey

This doesn't really have anything to do with Web Dynpro.  Normal ABAP functionality is used for the consumption of a web service.  In ABAP we create a proxy class based off the WSDL of the web service.  This proxy class can then be called from within Web Dynpro like any other ABAP class.  You can read about consuming a web service in the online help:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/9e/c7a3591dc74a679bbc9716354e42af/frameset.htm

Thanks for the link.  I checked but did not find helpful info there.
I have managed to make it work yesterday.  Two issues were identified.
    1. The namespace in the WSDL file imported into ESR as an external definition.  I need to create the same namespace in ESR before importing the WSDL and then import the WSDL into that namespace.
    2. The authentication method.  The authentication method in the IIS configuration of the .NET web service has to be set to Basic Authentication.  Then I set logical port of the consumer proxy in the OSAMANAGER to use Basic Authentication also.  So far only the Basic Authentication works in my test scenario.
    I am closing this question.
    Regards,
    Jiannan
