Creating index that points back to main page

I have a personal web site to share photos of the baby. During the last four months I have found myself making adjustments to how I want to display. The first two months it was all pictures on one page. That wasn't good. I decided to have albums for each month. So there were multiple albums on the main page each linking to a different month. That worked. However I changed it up and decided that I want the main address to always point to the most recent album. I'm not a designer so I will try best to describe how I configured this. In iWeb in the tree pane, I have the main site listed and under each is the album/page for every month. I just drag the most recent album to the top and when you put in the default web address it takes you to that page first.
Example:
web.me.com/username/First_Last/ will take you to web.me.com/username/FirstLast/September2010.html#grid
What happens is that if someone were to go the site with the main address and then bookmark or add to favorites, they are adding "web.me.com/username/FirstLast/September2010....." when really I would prefer that they add "web.me.com/username/First_Last" only. Is there a way to have this happen behind the scenes? I am dealing with a lot of family members who don't like change and get frustrated when the page doesn't open the way they expect.
Also another problem: in the past I had the photos in a separate directory.

That was the address I would give out before. Can I make a holder with that address that would automatically re-direct to "web.me.com/username/First_Last" instead?

You can redirect visitors to a web page to another web page by adding the following code to an HTML snippet on that page:

The visitor will be redirected immediately to the other page. It will be quicker if you can delete all items on that page except for the HTML snippet.
It would't be automatic but you could use the redirect snippet to send visitors to the latest album. You wouldn't have to move albums around or anything like that. Just leave them in chronological order in the site.
Make a first blank page and use the redirect snippet to redirect visitors to the new album. You would have to publish the site with the new album first so you could get the full URL to the page or figure it out from the name, i.e. http://web.me.com/MobileMeAccount_Name/Site_Name/PageName and use it in the snippet.
You can leave that first page out of the navbar so that visitors won't accidentally go to that page and end up back at the new album.
The contents page in each of my demo sites is a redirtect to a Contents page for all the sites. That way I can link the 4 sites together and only have to update one contents page. Click on the following link and watch the URL window change from the Demo site to the Contents site: Demo 1. Watch close as it can go by pretty fast.

Problem while opening a link of a PDF that points to a specific page to another PDF

PDF links whose URIs include backslashes are interpreted by Acrobat Reader browser plug-in as local file-system links even when they are not. This means that a link that points to a specific page number will open the file but not automatically jump to the desired page . In our browser-based viewing tool, this means that the links are perceived as not working.
for example : from IE Browser When we tried to open the link in PDF 1 which has the URL of the 5th section of PDF2 and the URL includes the backslashes then the Specific section of PDF2 is not getting opened . The link just opens the PDF2 first page. This Specific problem does not arrives if we try to open the link through Adobe Reader or if the URL mentioned in the PDF is formed using forwordslashes instead of backslashes.

Trying to go to a WAN address that points back to my LAN

Hello I am trying to go to dev.xxxxxxx.com that points to my main interface IP. It works when I am outside the network. But when I am in the lan I have to go to the LAN address. What do I need to do?

As per my understanding you have hosted this web server with in your network so when you are accessing it from external it uses the public DNS entry and uses the public IP address however when you are in your LAN network it routes directly to its private/LAN IP address. check the local DNS in your LAN where it points to if you dont have DNS locally and you are using LAN IP to access this server you can create DNS entry.

Try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the reset doesn't help, try a Restore. From iTunes, select the iPad and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finished, you will be asked if you wish the contents of iTunes to be copied to the iPad.

Aperture web gallery - how to link back to main page from iWeb?

Okay, this may be simple, but I can't figure it out.
I created and uploaded a few web pages with iWeb to my dot.Mac account (web.mac.com/f8lee50) just to get a feel for things. I then created a web gallery with Aperture and uploaded it - naturally Aperture generated a URL for the gallery, which I set up as a link on my "Photos from Hawaii" page (the link is the word 'this' in the second paragraph, if you wawnt to look).
Okay, so this gets me from the "photos from Hawaii" page to the gallery, and within the gallery I can jump to the various images etc. But how does one navigate back to the "Photos from Hawaii" page from whence they came? Is there some sort of smart link that can be inserted (by Aperture?) that will send the viewer back to the main homepage? Or are the Aperture galleries essentially dead ends?

And thank you for the kind words, me100finn. I have not played with any variables as far as layout on the gallery (I did a bunch of stuff with the books, but the web gallery seems far less flexible) so I cannot answer your wuestion about the gray shadows.
Steve, thank you for the additional clarification (and the hint about spaces in URLs) - I guess what this all boils down to is that the web galleries from Aperture are not all that useful when they are meant to be a part of a bigger overall site. I'm not sure of what you meant when you say they have little forward or backward navigation in them - at least you can click on a thumbnail to get to an image, click next or previous or the grid to get back to the thumbnail galery. But, 'twould seem that hand coding HTML pages (the very thing I was hoping to avoid) is the only way to really integrate them. Given that, I gues the better approach will be just to use iWeb to load the images anyway.

I have a movie created that is broken down into sections on the timeline (home about contact etc)
Each section has a movieclip
I want to be able to be in the about movieclip and click a button that will bring you back to the main timeline contact section

Creating link that drops to a specific page/section inside same doc

I want to link my chapters to the specific page i determine. Someone can click on the link and it drops down to the specific section/ chapter. Basically interlinking. Help!

You can have bookmarks which work from a side menu but not from hyperlinks within Pages.
To create what you want it will be better to edit an exported .pdf file and make the links in the .pdf using *Acrobat Pro* or to a more limited extent in Preview.

I'm putting together a long page that will have different blog posts. My intention is to publicise these posts via MailChimp or similar. My question is: is there a way to provide a link to subscribers that will take them to the specific part of this long page that will contain all the blog posts?
Or should I approach this a different way?

Phisical Back Key doesn't terminate the app and doesn't go to main page

I'm working in a Windows Phone 8.1 Project and have created it from a WP blank page (XAML and C#). After that added a new blank page and I navigate from main page through a blank page using a button. Now I'm struggling to navigate between pages.
If I'm at main page and press the phisical back key button of my cellphone, my app doesn't terminate, instead it goes to background.
If I'm at blank page and press the phisical back key button of my cellphone, my app doesn't go back to main page, instead it goes to background.
I have tried several methods from internet (most of them using silverlight which is not my case) but I didn't understand how to create an event handler to deal with that.
Any help will be very valuable, trust me.

You need to handle the HardwareButtons.BackPressed event
and plug into your app's navigation system. Commonly you'll find the Frame object, check if frame.CanGoBack, and if so call frame.GoBack. If you're at the app's front page (frame.CanGoBack is false) then don't handle the event and let it back out of the application.

SharePoint 2010 document library - Add a link that points to a page

A department has created a document library. Now, they would like to have a link visible in that library that points to another .aspx page. Is that possible?
I've seen how to add a "link to a document", but I want to add a link to a page, not a document.

I tried the "Link to a document" content type suggestion, but I'm not sure if there's something missing from our SharePoint installation, or if something is different with our template.docx file, or if SharePoint 2010 is playing strangely with
Office 2013, but after I added the "Link to a document" content type and chose it from the New Document drop-down, it wants to auto-launch Word 2013 with no dialogue for adding a URL.
However, once in Word, there are a couple of boxes just above the content area to type a URL and a description (screenshot below). I pasted the URL to the page in the URL box, left the description and content area blank, then saved the file back
to the library. However, when you click on the document in the library, it simply wants to open Word without going to the link.

I have multiple schemas, all which have tons of objects that point to one column of one table.
I tried to look at v$sqltext, and v$sqlarea, but it doesn't seem to show as expected.
Is there a view that I can look at that will show me all the objects that relate to one column?
my situation. Had to change the data structure of this one column. Changed the default value from a Y to an L. I have packages, functions, triggers...etc... that deal with this one column. I need to ensure that I go through EACH one and edit them to reflect the change to the table column. And again, this spans multiple schemas that point back to it.
I can't overlook any objects. Is there any one place to find this?

Creating a button that leads back into the main Pages/States from a custom component

Hello Y'all! isnt F.C. awesome!
BUT... just cant get a button that leads from a custom component ive made back into the main bulk of pages and states ive created to work.
it runs a bit like this:
Main title page...
                        Photography...
                                             Nature (on which theres a Custom Component which when clicked leads to...)
                                                        20 different custom component states each with different pics, linked via buttons
from each of which id love a button that led back to Photography, exiting the custom component
ive tried the basics:      Add interaction.. when clicked.. play transition to.. state: Photography
but to no avail
any ideas? im at a loss!

Cross component communications are an issue in Flash Catalyst 1.0. Thankfully, in Flash Catalyst 5.5 the team addressed some of those issues.
The only idea I have for remove the 'return' button from within the component, then it should be able to get you back to the home state.
Or, you might be able to wait a few weeks for the new version of Flash Catalyst to ship (or you can play with the older preview release on labs.adobe.com)
