Creating loop

Hello.
I'm new to LabVIEW and I'm struggling with creating loops to repeat execution.
I've created 4 separate match regular expressions.However, all 4 regex strings are the same except the first numbers in the regex strings (99,100,101). Therefore, I am trying to create a loop with the numbers in the regex outside the loop and the rest of the regex, \s*([^]+), inside the loop.
I've attached my VI. Please help me create a loop for the VI.

I have a requirement . I have a table as input parameter in a fuction signature . I need to loop at that table and check if a particular field in the row is initial. If yes , then I need to return the message with plant info in the current row concatenated with error message.

I had this similar requirement. Below are the steps I followed. It may be helpful to you.
Step 1:- Created an internal table structure in events class. (Inherited CL_EVENT_BRF to ZCL_EVENT_BRF and added this internal table).
Step 2:- After creating an object for event in runtime, assign your application internal table to the newly added itab of event object so that it will be in scope while executing action.
Step 3:- Create an action with action class of executing function module. In this function module you can write code to look for a field with initial value and update the same table with any other desired data.
Step 4:- After control returned from event processing, Event object will have all the updated values from function module.
Now assign event->itab to application itab.
In this approach you are actually applying business rule using code in function module. But you are still triggering this event using BRF. That means you have good control of when to execute function module and when not to using expression in BRF.

Can't create loop device for dm-crypt

I'm trying to set up a disk image to use dm-crypt with, and after using dd from /dev/urandom to create an appropriately sized random file, I modprobed the loop module and ran:
losetup /dev/loop0 /home/user/image
as specified on the Arch Linux wiki page for dm-crypt and got the error: "losetup: /dev/loop0: failed to set up loop device: No such file or directory".
I tried using the -f switch to create one, I got the error "losetup: cannot find an unused loop device: No such file or directory".
How do I get this to work? I also tried running these with sudo in case it was a permissions error, and that didn't help.

Yeah, it worked after a reboot. Thing was, modprobe loop had been done pre-kernel install, so I was a tad confused since the error didn't mention anything about a module needing loading or such. Either way, I ended up switching in the end to using veracrypt, it had better performance on my system and didn't take up an obscene amount of memory when mounting the image.

HELP... creating loops from full length songs

Hi there... I am an ex-ACID user and am trying to use logic express in the same fashion. I have figured out how to do basic editing functions, but I am not sure how to create a loop from a portion of a song i have edited. Ex: if I clip 1 Eight count from a song and want to make it a loop, how do I get logic to know that it is 8 beats? That way I can just drop it onto a track and it will conform to the full project's BPM rate. Any help would be sooooooo helpful!

I have not done this, but you should look up in the reference manual about creating Apple Loops - that's the format that will actually change tempo with the song's BPM, etc.
If you don't need to change tempo, then you can just drag the top right corner, and it will make loops automatically.

How to create looping model

I have few question about looping pattern.
I hava 3 human activity ( Request, Check, Confirm)
I want decided check activity owner users in Request activity.
it can be used principal expression in potential owners.
But I want to decided couple of Check activity owners and the each owners have to process each human activity.
I don't know how many Check activity owners before deciding owners.
finally, process last step (Confirm) after end of all Check activity .
Is that possible ?

You could try using Oracle Designer to create your diagrams. Also, it may make sense if you group the tables by functional areas
The Techical Reference Manual for the Oracle 11i HRMS application is good example of this, since the table relationships are shown by functional area (i.e. Person data, Job data, etc.).

Creating looping DVD: no theme, no menu?

I want to burn a DVD without a theme in iMovie 08. According to iMovie08 help, I can do this by selecting "Loop" from the Advanced drop down menu, and the DVD will start automatically and keep playing until it stops Fine. That's what I want for one particular purpose.
Except that when I drag the video I want to burn into the Drop Zone, the Revolution theme (with horrid accompanying music) is in the Drop Zone too and I can't get rid of it.
In fact, when I select the video then Burn, it burns the Revolution theme thingy and ONLY that. If that's a menu, I don't want a menu either.
I want the DVD to start automatically and keep looping: NO THEME, NO MENU. (Sorry for shouting but it makes me nuts.) Was this fixed by iMovie 11? If not, IS it going to be fixed?
Can Apple give those of us who can't afford Final Cut Pro a "No theme" option, please? In fact, make No Theme a Theme!
And if i have to see that Revolution and hear that music one more time, I'm buying third-party DVD authoring software.

How to create a DVD in iDVD6 without menu (there are several options)
1. Easy. Drop your iMovie in the auto-play box in iDVD's Map View, then set your auto-play item (your movie) to loop continuously.
Disadvantage. The DVD plays until you hit stop on the remote
2. Still easy. If you don't want your (auto-play) movie to loop, you can create a black theme by replacing the background of a static theme with a black background and no content in the drop-zone (text needs to be black as well).
Disadvantage. The menu is still there and will play after the movie. You don't see it, but your disc keeps spinning in the player.
3. Still quite easy but takes more time. Export the iMovie to DV tape, and then re-import using One-Step DVD.
Disadvantage. One-Step DVD creation has been known to be not 100% reliable.
4. (My preferred method) Easy enough but needs 3rd party software. Toast lets you burn your iMovie to DVD without menu - just drag the iMovie project to the Toast Window and click burn.
Disadvantage. you'll need to spend some extra $$ for the software. In Toast, you just drop the iMovie project on the Window and click Burn.
5. The "hard way". Post-production with myDVDedit (free-ware)
Tools necessary. myDVDedit ( www.mydvdedit.com )
• create a disc image of your iDVD project, then double-click to mount it.
• Extract the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders to a location of your choice. select the VIDEO_TS folder and hit Cmd + I to open the Inspector window
• Set permissions to "read & write" and include all enclosed items; Ignore the warning.
• Open the VIDEO_TS folder with myDVDedit. You'll find all items enclosed in your DVD in the left hand panel.
• Select the menu (usually named VTS Menu) and delete it
• Choose from the menu File > Test with DVD Player to see if your DVD behaves as planned. If it works save and close myDVDedit.
• Before burning the folders to Video DVD, set permissions back to "read only", then create a disc image burnable with Disc Utility from a VIDEO_TS folder using Laine D. Lee's DVD Imager.

Creating Looping DVD

Is it possible to create a seamless looping video file in iDVD? (Seamless meaning looping without any glitch or hiccup at the loop point).
The video file would be exported to a la Cie silverscreen drive rather than burned to DVD.

If I understand your question .. this is done iDVD
To turn on looping for a movie or a slideshow in the main iDVD window, select the movie or slideshow button on the DVD menu. Choose Advanced > Loop Movie or Loop Slideshow. To turn off looping, choose Advanced > Loop Movie or Loop Slideshow again.
To turn on looping for a movie or a slideshow (including autoplay movies and slideshows) in map view, click Map. Select the movie or slideshow icon and choose Advanced > Loop Movie or Loop Slideshow. To turn off looping, choose Advanced > Loop Movie or Loop Slideshow again. Looping autoplay movies can be useful for creating self-playing presentations, such as kiosks.
To turn on looping for a slideshow in the slideshow editor, double-click the slideshow button in the menu to open the slideshow editor. Select the checkbox labeled "Loop slideshow." To turn off looping, click the checkbox to deselect it.

Fabricpath N5500-leaf / N7000-spine CE STP connect creating loop

Hi!
Having issues with connecting a CE STP network redundantly to our FabricPath domain.
we have 2 N7K as spine and 4 N5K as leaf nodes.
all leaf nodes are connected to both spine switches with fabricpath ports.
the 4 leafe nodes are devided in 2 vpc pairs.
all N5K's have the same spanning-tree priority for all Fabric path VLANS.
spanning-tree ID is not configured, that is default configuration. (not sure if this is required)
Problem:
connecting an existing stp CE network redundantly to each of the vpc pairs creates bridging loop.
this stp CE network runs PVST N5K's run RPVST.
Info:
When connected only to the second pair of VPC N5K's, the CE switch does not update stp with that pair as root, even though it has lower pri number that any of the CE switches and it is receiving bpdu's on the port-channel connected to the N5K's.
When connected only to the first pair of VPC N5K's, the CE switch updates stp with that pair as root.
This should work, as the config is identical om both vpc pairs.
Any clues on what could be wrong?
Is there a config guide or whitepaper that describes this particular setup? seems like it should be a common setup with location redundancy for datacenters and existing CE networks.

Found the bug:
CSCtx41358 Fabricpath: BPDUs not sent out vPC secondary upon link failure.
The link in the primary vpc switch was down in the port-channel and the switches has old software.
Upgrading the switches is the solution.

Can't create loops in Logic 8.

What is wrong with apple loops utility. I load an audio file in it and when I press save, it then says that "the file could not be saved. check the destination disk's available space and try again or choose a different location." It however shows where it was trying to save my file in another window, and of course it shows the correct place to be saved. I've tried using the save as function and choosing the destination that way and it doesn't work. I've tried renaming it and it doesn't work. I've tried adding the file to the apple loops utility by pushing the plus button and then going through all those processes and still nothing. i have gotten some work by trying the above processes at least a thousand times. Then when it works, it does not even show up automatically in Bin section like it did in Logic 7. If you click the browser tab to search for it in your projects audio folder, you might miss it because it looks like all the other audio files. The only that I was able to tell was that my audio files are aif and the apple loops are aiff. If I were to go to my desktop and open my audio files
in my project that way, then I can see that apple loop file look like the apple loops logo. Anyway, I can't get this audio file to covert to an aplle loop because i can't save it. please help me.

I am having the same issue now that I have switched over from using a G4 with Logic 7 running Tiger to a G5 with Logic 7 running Leopard. Can it be an issue with Leopard? It was working fine with Tiger...
Anyway, it seems that the only work around (sort of) for this is too save the loop to your loop library and then take it from there and put back into your session. Once back in run the ALU like normal and save. It seems to work but I have noticed that once its changed into an apple loop that the loop will clip on the track!?! So I don't know how good of a solution this really is.

I dont get why you want them to be apple loops so badly... what wrong with leaving the loops as wav's aif (or aiff), etc.. im just trying to figure out what you can do with an apple loop that you cant do with the regular audio file? cuz i find that you can not time stretch apple loops... which means i would have to use them at their own tempo which is rediculous to me.. could someone perhaps open my eyes to the benefits of apple loops that i have yet to discover??

• Delete the physical file on your hard disk.
• If you don't want it to show up in the Loop Browser, there's no other way than deleting your Loops Indes file(s) and later dragging all your loops folders onto GB's Loop Browser for re-indexing.

Tempo setting when creating Apple Loops (Utility)

Having chopped a long audio file (drum track) into exact bar/beat settings, saved as separate audio files, I'm having trouble with tempo settings when creating Loops in Apple Loops Utility.
The problem is that after saving a looped file (from the Utility), upon loading that loop file into the Utility again, the (interpreted) tempo of the file is now doubled, which really screws up playback and placement of the loop file.
For example, my original tempo is 72bpm. I save the files as Looping, with the correct number of beats for each file (4 for a 1 bar file, 8 for 2 bars, etc.), and the tempo in the info section on the right side of the Utility correctly shows 72bpm. After saving the file as a loop, and then opening it again in the Utility, suddenly the tempo shows 144, and playback is at half speed.
Oddly, I was able to successfully do this to another track from a song at a faster tempo. In that case, the loop files open as expected. And I'm using exactly the same process this time... humm???
How can I get around this?

What version of Logic are you running. It works fine for me on Logic 9.1.3 in 32-bit mode. I seem to remember having the same problem as you're experiencing in Logic 8.0.2

Can we create our own loops? Basic question.

Can we create our own loops in Logic Pro. I see in all the tutorials. They are either taking input from external instruments OR use existing apple loops.
I have tried FL studio demo to create our own loops. But there is no trial version for Logic Pro. Need your inputs before I purchase it.

Yes you can!
It is as simple as selecting a Region (optional trimming recommended) and choose the Export command.
A Dialog window opens up that lets you enter the metadata
Apple had its separate "Apple Loop Utility" app (now only available in the developer package) that allowed you to create loops in a standalone app. The built-in loop capability in Logic uses part of that engine.

Loops and building a library

I am a college student in songwriting and music technology. I am working in both Protools and Logic and I find Logic best for writing and Protools best for editing. I want to build even a larger loop library than what is available in Logic Pro 9. I have noticed that I can buy loops a la carte or large packages of loops and save ( Loopmasters.com has a producer package for $694) . I am concerned about format and the ability to manipulate these loops. Midi vs. audio files. Can anyone give me advice for the best way to approach building this massive library of loops?

If you choose to buy loops formatted for the Apple brand (Apple Loops) these audio files are optimized for the use of Logic Pro. So beat matching , tempo and Key changes will work as expected. If you have purchase the Logic Studio Box version, you will find an Apple Loop creating program in your Utility Folder. With it you can start to make your own Apple Loops from any file. And Logic can read rex files that time stretch well and broadcast wave files that contains data for tempo matching and so on. Also when using non apple loops in your project you can right click on the loop, follow the menu to export and create loops in your Apple Loops Browser as well.

Looping particles in motion 4 don't loop in 5

This is a little hard to explain so bear with me.
I've long been creating looping particle emitters in Motion 4 using the trick where you set a constant birth rate that suddenly drops to 0 final keyframe at the end, duplicate the element, slide the duplicate element so that the final keyframe is at frame 0, extend the length of the element so that the dying particles for the duplicate creates the overlap for the loop. In other words, the end of original element is exactly the same as frame 0 of the copy. Works great as long as you don't add any randomness like gravity or wiggles.
HOWEVER, this method doesn't work in Motion 5! If I bring in a project that I've gotten to loop nicely in 4, it's goofed up in 5. When the element is duplicated, their endings are exactly the same. As soon as I slide the copy backwards on the timeline, its ending changes. The emitter shouldn't be different depending on where it falls on the timeline but in Motion 5 it is. I don't know how to fix this!! Looping backgrounds are my bread and butter so I may not be able to move to Motion 5. Before you suggest the FCP overlapping movies trick, I've done that in the past and it's usually not as good looking and fast as the method I've been using.

Hey Lauri, I've downloaded your project and I see what you're doing - very clever. And I have to say that it's the first project I've had that actually ran faster in Mo5 than Mo4. I was only getting 7fps in Mo4, but 30 in Mo5.
What I did in Motion 5 to get it to loop properly is to extend the length of the project by 300 frames, slide everything downstream, so the initial period doesn't take place before the project starts, then set my play range to start 300 frames later.
So it loops, but the working part is within the range of the timeline.
