Creating new categories values in Answers (Presentation). How?

I tried to create three different groups of objects according to their values, in Answers on BI 10
What I did was adding a new column and writing inside something like this:
CASE WHEN Value."Value" >= 100000 THEN 'FirstGroup' WHEN Value."Value" between 50000 and 100000 THEN 'SecondGroup' ELSE 'ThirdGroup' END
This works in table view, but I would like to use the three groups to create charts (a pie chart, for instance).
Anyone can suggest me how to accomplish this, just by using Answers? More generally, is there a simple way to use Answers to create new groups, according to given rules?

I'd like to create new categories withing my Library, (not playlist)
Example:
There are already categories (Probably not correct term) within my Library (Music, Movies, Podcast, Ipod Games, Radio) I'd like to know how to add/delete these categories.
I want to do this so I can create separate sections for Lectures, and Audio books I download, and want separate from my music. (Especially annoying when viewing by album art) I've searched around, but have only found information on creating Separate librarys.

I just have one last question then, I just recently purchased a Game for my Ipod, and it created an Ipod Games category within my Library, I was wondering if there was a way to write a script to create a new category in the same way Itunes created "Ipod Games". Although even if that were possibly I don't know how I would upload the files since they would go directly to my Music folder.
Any Ideas?
I'm thinking (If I can create another category with a script as described above) I could create a new itunes Library, upload the files I want, then copy it into the directory of the new category within my previous library(bit long winded sentence) that way Itunes would create the necessary XML files, and what not.
Sorry if that didn't make any sense, I have some programming experience on PC, but I'm new to Mac, and its applications, although I am loving OS X and thinking about a Apple desktop replacement.

Can We Create New Categories and Folders?

I hate having all of my apps piled up in the "ALL" category. Can we create new categories such as "Business Apps" or "Education" in order to stay organized? If not can we at least create folders within the existing catefories?

I read a response to a similar question yesterday on this forum. The BlackBerry tech said it is not an option right now but you can choose your favorites and have them show in the favorites section. Maybe folders will be available later. Enjoy the new tablet I know I am.

Creating new categories in bugseye

Hi!
I've got a problem uploading new products to my catalog. It works find when I upload products to existing categories, but when I try to upload products to new categories it fails. I have tried to create the new category before I upload, but it throws the same error. I have even tried to add a new product to the new category manually, but it still creates the same error message.
This is the error message:
Failed to insert item for category: 100465(key=null, name=Frank)
Error: java.sql.SQLException: Item outside users view
Can you help me?

Variable to create new dimension value in Webi

in a webi report, i have couple of variables, what i need to do is to create a new dimension by these variables, so i can use it in a chart
for example:
i have current month, previous month, previous of previous month, all of them are variables, i need to create a new dimension, so i can use it in a crosstab to create a chart

because the client needs 6 months trend report, and in webi level, it is hard to use the report date prompted by the user to calculate the 5 previous months, so in universe level, i create 5 objects to get 5 previous month of report month prompted by the user, for example, if the user input the report month ="3/24/2014", the previous month will be 2/1/2014, and previous previous will be 1/1/2014, then 12/1/2013, 11/1/2013, 10/1/2013
under each month, i will create 6 variables for another metric, say % medium error=total tickets opened where priority = medium, the reason, i create these fields manually, because not all of the month will have tickets opened by all support group, i know i can create a 6 months object in universe level, but if i add drill down filters, if the support has no ticket, the 6 months trend will be changed to 2 or 3 months, the user wants report layout has no change no matter if it will have data or not, that is why i create different variables for the month, and different variables for other metrcis. i already finished this table part, but the issue is i cannot use this table data to create a chart, so i need to creat new variables to include all these 6 months variables and metrcis "% medium error" variables

(1) Create a new directory on your file system where you want the catalog to be stored
eg: d:\work\catalog\MyNewCatalog
(2) Open Presentation Services config file, instanceconfig.xml, in a text editor:
d:\OracleBIData\web\config\instanceconfig.xml
(3) Set the catalog to your new, empty catalog
<CatalogPath>d:\work\catalog\MyNewCatalog</CatalogPath>
(4) Restart presentation server
Control Panel->Services->Oracle BI Presentation Server (restart)

Create new field in Self Service page - How??

Hello all
This may be easy but i am not sure if it can be done.
In the Learning Management module I wanted to add a new field ('age', from the person table). Either as an additional search criteria for the Learning Administrator when looking for learners to enroll or as additional info on a learner.
As this field is not in any of the relevant pages, i was thinking i might be able to utilize DFFs (if this functionality is available in the page to render).
Am i on the right track? is there a better way? I would like to avoid any customizing if possible..
I greatly appreciate any experience/advice on this problem

Oracle Application Framework Developer's Guide Release 11i (11.5.10) (Metalink Note 269138.1) can be referred for the OAF readings. Check in particular the sections on personalization and extension.
Through personalization, you can only change the look and feel, reorder the items, create some new fields. but to get the new data you have got to extend the BC4J package.
But again if you are talking of adding this new AGE field to a search region, depending upon your search region style, you might have to make changes to search region also.
I will also suggest you to go through the threads which talk of extensions.

How to create new approval hierarchy

Dear Experts, I want to know if we can create a new approval hierarchy.
I know that there is a existing seeded hierarchy. We create new process and it goes for review and finally it gets approved. But this would happen according to roles assigned to the users and that to for only two steps one is the reviewer and other is the approver, but i want that there be 2 reviewer and 3 approver, than how can i assign any further roles for the same process to be to be reviewed and approved by more people.
1) Can we create new approval hierarchy.if yes then how?
2) what will be there roles assigned to them?
3) if it can be done by rules , than what is the scripts for the same.?
4) If it can be done with perspective hierarchy then how to confirgure and what roles to assign?

This can be done, but it will require work using Flow Rules and perhaps Form Rules. This is a complex setup you're looking for, and I would recommend seeking a professional implementer to assist you. People like Oracle Consulting for GRC is available and have had success in these type of setups.

PMS: Creation of new filter values

Dear Reader,
I am working on a PMS implementation where one particular appraisal template has multiple appraisers. The only way I can attach and identify between multiple appraisers is by creating new filters in table T77HAP_FLT_SEL.
I plan to then use BADI implementations to help identify the persons for each filter value from OM relationships.
But am at a loss as to how to create new filter values in this table. Would anybody be in a position to advise?

Example scenario:
Every appraisee has three appraisers: MANAGER, BUSINESS AREA GENERAL MANAGER (BAGM) and DOTTED-LINE MANAGER (DLM). There is no unified logic in the existing OM structure to identify the BAGM other than to create a custom relationship between all child org units and the position of the BAGM.
I need to name all three participants as appraisers in the appraisal category - but the only way I can name multiple persons as appraiser is to provide a selection ID at the category level (the selection ID being the filter value picked up from table T77HAP_FLT_SEL). For this, I would need to create values for BAGM and DLM in T77HAP_FLT_SEL so that I can pick them up when configuring my category.

That was the first thing I had tried. However, there is no maintenance dialog for T77HAP_FLT_SEL in transaction SM30 - the error says no maintenance objects exist for this table/view.
From my research so far, it looks like the selection ID/filter value is picked up by BADI HRHAP00_SELECTION. But am not sure if the same BADI is used to populate new values in this table or not.

According to your description, my understanding is that you failed to create a new farm.
It seems that several issues exist in IIS. Please go to IIS manager > each site > advanced settings > general > ID to see if it is beyond int32 range or includes non-number value. Besides, please reset IIS and reboot the SQL server.
Please have a try to create new farm with power shell.

Error while creating new client

recently i installed sap 4.7 in my system .
to create new client i copy the standard one and i assigned password .
While i am trying to login in to new client i am getting error "password is not right even though it is passsword given while creating new one.

Multiple records to be created for multiple values in a field

I am having a requirement in which i will have multiple values for a field.The values are seperated by commas.I need a record to be created for each value.(eg: if there are 4 values i need 4 records to be created). Any one please help me out.

You can try solve it at File Content Conversion level, by specifing your value separator as the endSeparator.
Or you can import all values as a unique record and then solve it via graphical mapping, using an advanced UDF, where you receive N records, then inside the UDF, you split the values via its separator and create new array values (one for each input value after splitting) and output that array to be used to fill destination structure.
