  • Characteristic infoprovider not available while creating query

    Hi All,
    I have a characteristic infoprovider(user defined) in both Dev and Prod(transported-same properties), i can create new query in dev using query designer(BI 7) but not in production.
    It is defined as infoprovider in the business expl tab of info object.
    Query designer
    when I search for this infoprovider in prod - No records found.
    I checked thru info area still not able to see in query designer- production, it is not authorization relevant also.
    Please let me know any possible scenarios.
    Thanks
    Jagadeesh

    Hi,
    I hope you are choosing 'create query' after opeing query designer and not 'open query'. If you select 'open query' then it shows only those info-areas and info-providers on which query is already there.
    If this is not the case, can you see your characteristic in the info-provider tab?

  • Create query views on WAD

    Hi all!,
    In BI netweaver 7, is recommended to allow final users have access to create Query Views from WAD/Productive environment?,  this is because when production is closed, final users cannot save Query Views because transport error is generated.
    We saw on help.sap.com: “Note that you cannot create query views on the Web if the standard transport system is active because this requires the transport request dialog box”.
    Any suggestions are welcome, hope you could help us.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    you have to change the 'Object Changeability' setting for Query View in your productiv system. Then there will be no Transport System connection and you'll get no error message.
    Go to the Administrator Workbench (Data Warehousing Workbench, transaction RSA1) -> 'Goto' -> 'Transport Connection' and choose 'Object Changeability'. To display the function, you may have to enlarge the window or press the arrow keys nearby.
    In the following dialog box you can select the object types that you want to be changeable, even though the system is set to not changeable.
    This task should be done by your System Administrator because additional steps could be necessary.
    Take a look at SAP Note 337950 which describes general steps.
    Regards
    Andreas

    Hi,
    Basically you are creating a SAP Query for no of tables, please find the steps below.
    1.Give quickview name XXXX and then select create tab.
    2.Give Title and data source "table join"
    3.Select either basis mode or layout mode(this is option how you do want the report basically)
    4.Select insert table and give table name"BKPF" and select insert table once again and give the other table name like"MKPF"(Just example)
    5.If you want to map reference the fields keep the curser on fields in fifferent tables and select reference fields.
    6.Then go back and select the fields from doc headers from accounting and material and save, now your query is ready and you can execute so that you will be able to get the fields from both tables.
    Hope understood and assign the points if you are cleared..
    Thanks,

  • ORA-20001: Unable to create query and update page.

    I am using the wizard: Form on a table with report 2 pages. I do not change any of the values when using the wizard (just taking all default values)
    I created over 10 pages successfully already.
    When creating the one page, I received this error on clicking the 'Finish' button
    Error creating query and update.
    Return to Application
    ORA-20001: Unable to create query and update page. ORA-12899: value too large for column "FLOWS_010500"."WWV_FLOW_PAGE_PLUGS"."PLUG_QUERY_COL_ALLIGNMENTS" (actual: 269, maximum: 255)
    Seems like it might be table related since I can continue and create more forms/reports on other tables.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    336554,
    Looks like there is a 127-column limit on the number of report columns supported when using that wizard. Do you have more than that?

  • How set dynamically created query in GridControl?

    How set dynamically created query in GridControl?
    Thank you

    If your dynamic query is based on an Entity object, then you can probably use RowSetInfo setQueryInfo method.
    The argument to this method is a 'Query' object. There are three flavours provided in the oracle.dacf.dataset
    package.
    oracle.dacf.dataset.QueryViewInfo
    defines an updateable SQL query based on a predefined BC4J View Object.
    oracle.dacf.dataset.QueryStatementInfo
    Creates a view object based on an arbitrary SQL statement.
    oracle.dacf.dataset.QueryInfo
    Creates a View Object from an Entity Object and additional SQL clauses. The View Object will have
    that Entity Object as its sole Entity Object base.
    If in your application you are able to specify the name of the entity, then you can use the QueryInfo method to define your
    query. Please try the following.
    SessionInfo si = ....
    void runDynamicQuery()
    RowSetInfo rsi = new RowSetInfo();
    AttributeInfo ai = new AttibuteInfo(..);
    ai.setName(..);
    rsi..addChild(ai);
    si.addChild( rsi)
    rsi.setQueryInfo( new QueryInfo( ...../* include entity name */ .... ));
    rsi.setName(....);
    rsi.open(true);
    grid.setDataItemName(...);
    Hope this helps,
    Sathish.

  • Creating query on Bex - Quaterly comparison for statistical & Actual

    Hi All,
    I would like to create a query for 'Quarterly comparison for statistical & Actual periods'.
    My Key Figures should be
    1) Plan 1st Qtr (Fiscal year, Period: 1 to 3, Value type : 1(Plan), Version : 0(Plan/actual), Valuation View: actual Value).
    2)1st Qtr (Fiscal year, Period: 1 to 3, "Value type : 4(Actual),11(Actual statistical)", Version : 0(Plan/actual), Valuation View: actual Value).
    3)Var 1st Qt (Plan 1st qtr - 1st Qtr)
    same thing for 4 Quaters. finally with
    4)Plan Year (Fiscal year, Period: 1 to 12, Value type : 1(Plan), Version : 0(Plan/actual), Valuation View: actual Value).
    I created a structure and created key figures with selections and formulas as required. But I did not see any data when I ran this query.
    The report was generated with 'no applicable data'.
    I need to create this query with plan 1st Qtr, Ist Qtr, Var 1st Qtr, Plan 2nd Qtr, 2nd Qtr, Var 2nd Qtr, Plan 3rd Qtr, 3rd Qtr, Var 3rd Qtr, Plan 4th Qtr, 4th Qtr, Var 4th Qtr, Plan year. key figures.
    Please let me know how can I create this query with these Key Figiures.
    Any help would be appreciated. Please respond with the reply.
    Thanks,
    Aparna.

    Hi
    The best way is then to run a report with your KF without any restriction, and the different chars in the drill down: Fiscal year, Period:, Value type,  Version , Valuation View
    Then you can check that you have some information with the combination of values of your chars:
    Fiscal year, Period: 1 to 3, Value type : 1(Plan), Version : 0(Plan/actual), Valuation View: actual Value.
    If you find a actual Value in the fiscal period you are looking at, for the period 1 to 3, for the Valuation type 1, for the version 0, then create arestricted KF by adding the restrictions one at a time....You moght discover why you do not get the results

  • Creating Query to show items from open sales orders with a/p invoice

    Hi experts,
    I am trying to create a query that will show what items/quantities are still in open sales orders that can now be filled by an incoming shipment of goods, processed through the a/p invoice.
    This needs to be done using subqueries, which I have no experience with.  I am trying to do this using the ORDR and RDR1 tables to show the open items from the sales orders and the OPOR and POR1 tables to show items just received in to inventory.  I would like the query to show exactly the open item's, their quantities, the posting date from the sales order and the customer name that can now be filled from the new shipment through the a/p invoice.
    I appreciate the assistance,
    Hayden (on behalf of Todd)

    Hello,
    try this
    SELECT T0.[DocDate], T1.[ItemCode], T1.[Dscription],( T1.[Quantity] - T1.[DelivrdQty]) As "Open Qty" FROM ORDR T0  INNER JOIN RDR1 T1 ON T0.DocEntry = T1.DocEntry WHERE T0.[DocDueDate]  <= [%0]And ( T1.[Quantity] - T1.[DelivrdQty]) != 0
    Try this query in query manager.
