    Hi Prosun Bondopadhyay  ,
                   Component controller is the base of a wda component. its can be considered as the base class. all the other views can be considered as the sub classes of component  controller. so without the base class there is no existence for sub class rt?
    like we can use all the methods and attributes of a component controller(main class) across all the view(sub class) and the viceversa is not possible.
    hence we cannot create a wda without component controller.

  • Creating dynamic textbox in JSP

    I am trying to create dynamic textbox.when i run this below JS ,I am getting two boxes only and then i nothing getting it displayed.The problem comes in the inner for loop.
    function DynamicBox(val)
                        alert("helloooo");
                         var d =document.getElementById("bottom");
                         d.innerHTML = '<table cellpadding="10">';
                        for(i=0;i<val;i++)
                                d.innerHTML += '<tr><td><INPUT type="text" name="week'+i+'" size=8 >  </td><td><INPUT type="text" name="deliverable'+i+'" size=30>  </td>';
                              for(j=1;j<=<%=parameter.length%>;j++)
                                       <% int m=0;%>
                                      d.innerHTML+='<td><INPUT type="text" name="'+<%=parameter[m]%>+i+'" size=10></td>';
                                      <% m++; %>
                                 d.innerHTML +='</tr><br />';
                            d.innerHTML+='</table>';
                    }In the above code,val is the number of rows to be created.Bottom is the id of the <div> tag.parametr is a String array.The values are coming from database.

    move the <% int m=0;%> out of the loop.. You have place it in the loop, causing it to be initialize to be 0 each time the looping occurs.
    Place <% int m=0;%> below the line: d.innerHTML = '<table cellpadding="10">'

    But my real problem is how to apply the chmod 777 on a folder containing spacesSo why not say so in the first place?
    Runtime.exec ("chmod 777 My\\ Folder");Runtime.exec(new String[]{"chmod", "777", "My Folder"});
    That is why I chose the example of mkdirYour reasoning on this point is incomprehensible. You wanted help with A so you asked about B. Just wasting time.

  • How can I create a textbox-like field?

    I am writing a After Effect Plug-in.
    I want to create a textbox-like for user, when click om plugin in after effect cs4 popup textbox
    So, if there is any example to create that UI for me?
    Thanks a lot.

    i'll try to give you a wider picture.
    AE has no "text" parameter you can add to a plug-in.
    you have to either create on using a custon UI, or open a window and use an OS control to allow the user to enter text.
    if you're just beginning developing you should probably avoid custom UI. it's a pain.
    the simples way to trigger an OS window is using javascript.
    yes, just as you would in a regular AE javascript.
    there are a few scripts that ship with AE that show how to open a window and even get text input.
    the link i added to the previous post show EXACTLY how to implement java from within an effect.
    all you have to do is change the java script to one you need.
    copy/paste. the rest is ready to use as it is in that link.
    how do you know when to launch that window?
    there are a few ways to tell.
    the most versatile would be a custom UI, but as i said, it's not easy to do.
    the second method would be to use "param supervision".
    it will tell you when the user clicked on a specific param, so you can launch the window.
    relatively simple to pull off.
    look at the "supervisor" sample to see how it's implemented.
    the third method is the simplest, and i would recommend it for a beginner.
    as many effects that require some window to open do, you can use the "options" button to launch the window.
    you can even change the name of that button using PF_SetOptionsButtonName().
    look at the "checkout" sample.
    it has it all.
    it changes the name of the "options" to "whatever i want!".
    it even has a function called PopDialog() that... pops up a message window when clicking on the options button.
    all you'll need to do, is replace the content of the PopDialog() function with your window code.
    that should get you up and running.

  • Can I create a textbox in a form that will automatically expand to accomodate a response?

    I know that others have asked this before and the answer has basically been "No, not really. Just make your textbox bigger." But on a few threads the response was more like, "Not yet, but we're working on it." That was over a year ago for most threads. Is this possible now? I don't want to have to create huge textboxes on my form, but it's also a hassle for respondents who want to go into more detail with their responses to have to use the scroll bar (some don't even notice this and get very confused thinking their response has disappeared).

    and allow me to manually pace the show.  I know how to do this in PowerPoint but would rather use a more natice mac ap and thought it might be possible in iMovie or iPhoto but am not sure exactly what the best way to do this would be.
    If you want a native Mac application for your slideshow you could also try Keynote, the Apple alternative to Powerpoint. It will give you similar presentation options.
    Aperture - if you have it - would allow to trim the videos, allow more fine control over how the audio of the clips will be mixed, and still allow to manually pace the slideshow, but it is expensive and will no longer be developed. But if you have compatible versions of Aperture and iPhoto, simple open your iPhoto Library in Aperture: Aperture 3.3: Using a unified photo library with iPhoto and Aperture

  • How to create rounded corners for web site

    I am interested in any help with creating rounded header and
    rounded columns like at adobe home page. Whats the best way to go
    about creating a page with rounded text boxes, rounded nav bars,
    rounded logo box, etc..
    Thanks,
    Dennis

    Rounded corners in Web pages now can be done best with CSS3. A lot of contemporary browsers support them -- Firefox, Opera, Chrome, Safari. IE doesn't support rounded corners (not yet), but this will happen somewhere in the future...
    CSS3 rounded corners: a basic how-to:
    http://www.css3.info/preview/rounded-border/
    Of course, you can also use rounded corners in a Fireworks image, then apply the corners to the HTML elements via CSS; this will work in all browsers, including IE. There are a lot of tutorials over the Web which cover this topic, too

    i have following questions, if possible plz. help me.
    1) is it possible to create round shape i.e circular
    shapes button using java program.
    Yes - GUI Components paint themselves through the invocation of their paint(Graphics) method. Create a subclass of JButton and override the method to paint a circle.
    public void paint(Graphics g) {
      //work out where you want to put the circle, x_pos, y_pos etc
      g.drawArc(x_pos, y_pos, width, height, 0, 360);
    }or some such. Note that since Java 1.2, the object that gets passed in to this method is actually a Graphics2D Object (subclass of Graphics). This provides extra methods.

  • How to create multiple TextBox using Visual C# in runtime?

    Hello,
    I am writing the following code to create TextBox programmatically in run time. When I am clicking in the target Button it will create TextBox. But the problem is, only one TextBox is created. Can anyone tell me how can I write code that will create multiple
    TextBox when I am continuously clicking a Button?

    cnt++; y = 139; x = 139;
    txt.Parent = this;
    txt.Location = new System.Drawing.Point(x, y);
    txt.Size = new System.Drawing.Size(100, 20);
    txt.Name = "text" + cnt; ;
    txt.Text = "Text" + cnt; ;
    ///txt.Visible = true;
    y += 30; x += 30;
    ///MessageBox.Show(txt.Name.ToString());
    int cnt;
    private void Form1_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)
    cnt = 0; x = 139; y = 139;
    - Thanks

    Hello,
    In your sample code only one instance of the text box is created. You may put the
    TextBox txt = new TextBox();
    inside the button click handler function for creating new instance for each button click.
    Also change the change  txt.Location  for each text box. In your code it is specified as 139, 139 always.

  • To create login form using swing with sqlserver as backend

    hi.
    can anybody send me code to create login form using swings .
    thnaks in advance..

    You do realise that you can't create Swing on a JSP page?
    You have to use HTML.
    If you want to use Swing, the java must be running at the client end, which means you need an Applet, and a completely different forum.

    First things first. Next time please use the code formating tags when posting your code.
    Secondly, we cant help you do your entire project or more specifically we cant do it for you. We can probably help you with one section at a time.
    Thirdly, do not post your entire code. Create a Short, Self Contained, Compilable Example (SSCCE) that demonstrates the problem section, and that is independent of any third party libraries and can compiled instantly and tested.
    Now, lets see if we can answer one problem here.
    Ques 1. In the form I have one JComboBox of Country and other of State. Now I want it in such a way that whenI select a country from the Country JComboBox ,the corresponding states automatically appears in the State JComboBox.
    Ans 1: Use an ItemListener or an ActionListener (javax.swing.event) for this. Once an item is selected, the event will be fired and then you populate your ComboBox with the requried data.
    Ques 2. I need to add picture frame in the 6th tab so that the picture shows up when clicked browse and open.
    Ans 2: You haven't created the JButton for the browse action, nor have you created the JLabel to show the picture in. Create the JButton, then the JLabel, attach an ActionListener to the button to listen for the button click, open a JFileChooser, select the image file, create an ImageIcon and pass the File object returned to it. Then call the JLabel.setIcon( the ImageIcon) to display the picture. You'll have to store the picture File information some where so can reference it when saving.
    Ques 3.I need to add tables in 1st and 5th tab which shows up the details through database when added through several textboxes and combo boxes.
    You need to do some reading. The Swing Tutorial has everything you need, from How to use Tables to How to connect to databases. There are also some examples in your JDK installation folder, ie, jdk/demos/jfc/tableExample. Here is the link to the swing tutorial on how to use Tables: http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/uiswing/components/table.html. You find other useful links there.

  • Best IDE and how-to create HTML for a swing Applet

    Can you help me out? I've been using, and teaching with the old Symantec VisualCafe product from long, long, ago. It still works fine & I can even use it to build JFC/Swing Applets etc. But a few things have occurred. For one, a way back, Symantec sold VisualCafe to WEBGAIN - who now has gone out of business and sold it to a company called TOGETHERSOFT - who doesn't support it any longer.
    This isn't really a big deal to me, because I can still build and deploy applets that are pre-swing easily enough. (as can my students)
    HOWEVER... I'd like to be running with the LATEST Java (I think it's 1.4.01) and I'd LIKE to use whatever is the best development environment I can use - especially one I can recommend to my students. Do you know what that should be?
    What's more, I'd still like to take some JFC/Swing created applets (even if compiled with the older VisualCafe IDE) and generate the HTML to allow 1.4 enabled browsers to run them (this is the case for the schools versions of Explorer and Netscape). Now, the HTML I have INSTALLED for the students used the HTML converter - back in 1.2 to produce the HTML at the bottom of this. This code no longer works now with current browsers. Do you know HOW one makes a jfc/swing compiled applet run on the latest browsers?
    Any help or direction you can give would be appreciated.
    thanks,
    Bobby Berns

    Bobby,
    It's been a while since I've used the HTML Converter, but if I had to guess I'd say you need a newer version than what you have. Also, doesn't the converter allow you to choose which JDK you want to use (in which case you could select 1.4)? Again it's been a while so bear with me. Another option would be to put all the Swing classes into a .jar file (typically called swingall.jar) on your server and include that file as an attribute in your applet tag like this:
    <APPLET CODE="yourApplet.class" ARCHIVE="swingall.jar">
    This way you don't have to use the Java Plug-in, however the initial download time of the .jar file can be significant.
    As for an IDE, I've always been happy using a text editor like UltraEdit. However, I've heard good things about Forte, and hey, it's free!
    Regarding Christina's post, that solution will only work if the Applet does not use Swing components (and Bobby specifically said it does). By using the <OBJECT> and <EMBED> tags, rather than the <APPLET> tag, you force the browser to use the Java Plug-in (rather than the browser's default JVM).
    Hope that helps,

  • Is there a way for export to create rounded corners?

    I love creating layouts with Fireworks, but it always bothered me that it didn't recreate any rounded corners.
    When CS6 came out with the CSS Properties window, I was happy to see that the CSS in the Properties window faithfully created my objects with rounded corners, so I had high hopes that the regular export would include this markup... but it didn't.
    My current work-around seems very frustrating.  I export my file as HTML with CSS images... I get a perfectly rendered page with one exception... the corners are still square.   Then, I go back to Fireworks, open the CSS Properties window, then cut and paste the tags for the corners one by one into the CSS file.
    It seems to me with such heavy emphasis on CSS integration, that  the export function should include the this code too.
    Am I doing something wrong?  Or is this still an unsupported feature?

    Use the CSS Properties panel to extract and copy CSS for the selected object on the canvas. It has no integration with the CSS and Images export workflow OR the HTML and Images export workflow (the latter of which produces a rigid, image-based, html table layout). HTML and Images export is really only suitable for clickable prototypes. CSS and Images export is really only suitable if you like re-writing all the CSS to match your normal workflow.
    General workflow:
    1) Add effects to vector shape (corners, drop shadow, glow, gradient fill, border, opacity, etc..)
    2) Open CSS Properties panel. CSS properties for selected object are displayed.
    3) Click the Copy All button in the panel.
    4) Switch to Dreamweaver or your preferred web editor.
    5) Paste the CSS into the desired class, id or element rule.
    6) View in Live View or Preview in Browser to see results.

  • How do you create rounded tables in Frame 7?

    Hi
    I'd like to create a table with rounded edges in Frame 7, is this possible? I don't see this option in my 'Table Designer'.
    Thanks
    Carin

    As Art said, not so easy to do and maintain manually. However, this could be a nice little FrameScript that could be re-run everytime one changes the table content.
    If you would use this feature a lot, then check out FrameScript at http://www.framescript.com
    For more info and other examples of scripted solutions (as well as a capable script provider) see: http://www.frameexpert.com
