CREATING TUTORIALS PAGES USING CMD.EXE AS THE VIEWER.

Hello all.
I apologize in advance if this question comes off as ignorant to any of you but, I'm pretty new at scripting..,
having a lot of fun with it so i'm barreling ahead!
I've been combining all the hundreds of tutorials text files that I have been gathering over time, trying to get them in order
and finally create something like html help pages yet using the command line as the viewer. this would be exactly like what one would see after entering "/?". the help section of someones exe program. my problem is I do not know how or what to
place in the tutorial.cmd script in order for command line to display the pages one window at a time automatically so that the viewer/user does not have to enter the " | more " command, he/she is then only required to tap a key to go onto the next
portion of the pages.

We tried to launch the CMD.exe using the DOS Task Scheduler AT command. Here’s a sample command:

It turns out that this approach will work for XP, 2000 and Server 2003 but due to session isolation
Interactive services no longer work on Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 and above.
2. We
tried to create a secondary Windows Service via the Service Control (sc.exe) which merely launches CMD.exe.
<Drive>:\sc create RunCMDAsLSA binpath= "cmd" type=own type=interact <Drive>:\sc
start RunCMDAsLSA
In this case the service fails to start and results it the following error message:
FAILED 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.
3. One
suggestion, we found to launch CMD.exe via a Scheduled Task, but
it is not giving any option to launch CMD.exe in interactive mode; so that I can map network drive using net command.
4. I read an article, which
demonstrates the use of PSTools from SysInternals. I launched the command line and executed following command
psexec -i -s cmd.exe
PSTools worked fine, but It seems that in scope of Sysinternals Software License
Terms. You may not "use the software for commercial software hosting services."
Application will deploy on client, which will be like commercial,
so we are not able to use PSTools.
Kindly assist us for achieving the requirement. We have tried all the ways, but nothing is working for us. Kindly suggest.

That’s why, we posted on forum.
And there will not be any vulnerability, because, if we will use "net
use ..."
in network domain; definitely,
we will provide username and password of mapped drive system.
And, that system, itself is given by client; so that, there must not be any vulnerability; they are ready to provide user name and password.
We need a way; by which we can complete the requirement. Kindly assist.

unable to install photoshop elements v10 on a windows 7, ultimate 64bit computer, get:

yes, I am installing as the administrator. I have tried to install from
two different folders;
1. c://adobe photoshop elements 10.msi
and
2. c://program files/adobe/adobe photoshop elements 10.msi
get the same error message from both locations.
the error message is not specific as to "root folder"

Better ask in the iWeb forum.
Answer : inspector > first icon from the left > uncheck 'Display navigation menu'
For future reference, also look at the other icons.

Why can't I create a response to an email from the Viewer window?

Why can't I create a response to an email from the Viewer window?
When I select an email to respond to in the viewer window and click on the respond arrow that appears just under the header, a new response email opens for a split second then disappears.
I have to actually click on and open the email message in its own screen to be able to then click on the respond arrow and succeed in having Mail open a response email that I can edit - one that remains open.
This seems to be a bug that we need to have squashed.

I created thirty pages using ipages and my web manager is having difficulty placing them on my website, some change color, some slide off the screen. Is there a place for problem solving for ipages and website?

Hi, I thoroughly enjoy the ipage program and prefer it to the similar one offered by Word. But my web manager is having countless difficulties. I converted everything to PDF's for him but several of the ipages are loading with a different backround color. He says he has to meta tag each page since this cannot happen automatically. On my Mac, the pages are loading after the navigation bar is selected, and it takes about three to four seconds. On my iphone, however, each page takes at least eight seconds to load and then it slides right off the screen before it can be read. I really want to continue using ipages to update my website but I am a rookie and do not understand why each ipage cannot simply open when someone goes to my website. It would be great to do away with the loading of each page and I would like to also minimize any of my margins. Thanks for any help on this strange matter. Mary

Converting pages to pdf is not the usual way make a website. You may want to try some other app where you can directly create the html which is the customary format for the web.

How can I create multiple pages, with different layouts to the others, in DW fluid grid layouts?

I am creating a website using FGL in DW CS6, v12.0 build 5808. I do not have Creative Cloud (do you have to pay to use this service?).
I have created one layout for my home page.
I would like to create several more pages, but I want them to use different layouts (as well as different content).
I tried to do something similar before using 'save as' (this was with a non-FGL), but whenever I changed the original page that I had 'save as'd' from, the layout in all the other pages would change too!

I'm a bit scared of breaking everything, as I am new to web design and have had to restart the whole process a few times due to messing up the fluid.css etc and other issues, so I am taking baby steps.
Happy to try whatever's suggested and, while I wait for (I hope) your responses, I think I will try the template thing, but from the reply the person who asked the question gave, it sounds like his subsequent pages changed too, as I mentioned above? *scared* ; )

I tried using different IDs for the other pages, but eventually one of the divs seems to 'break' - it overlaps other divs, or cannot be moved or resized (you can select the outline and it goes blue, but no 'move up a row' or down a row or 'lock to grid' etc icons appear and it can't be drag-re-sized), plus the green overlay disappears (just from that div. I'm aware of how to turn visual aids on and off), so it seems broken. This often seems to happen if you rename a div once it's been created; it does not rename in the layout.css on the right side panel (CSS Styles) in DW and the 'broken' behaviour above is exhibited. Do you know anything about this? Is this the 'edit this doc at your peril' stuff that most tutorials seem to mention? Am I doing something wrong?
I also tried making an FGL and saving out the original boilerplate.css, layout.css and respond.js. Then created multiple new FGLs and each time it created new versions of layout.css (called 'untitled-1', 2 etc.). Once I had created all the FGLs, I deleted all the new boilerplates and untitled.css files. Then restored the original ones and changed the link at the top of each page's html to refer to the same filename (the original layout.css), rather than untitled.css. I thought this might work and it seemed to for a while, but then as I had to add new div names for the sections on each page, it eventually broke (as above).
Anyway, I think you have a good point about different layouts and it occurred to me also while I was exploring and waiting for replies here. I think I will make one layout for all pages and go with that. I have a couple of questions about that though:
1. I think the max number of divs I want for one of the pages is 10, but some pages need less divs. If I only fill e.g. 8 divs on one page, will the other ones be sat there empty? I think they will actually...I guess I'm asking because I have not tried it yet (will do after this) and it takes so long to do this trial and error.
2. If the amount of content in each div is different, e.g. let's say Page 1 has 6 lines of content in div1, but page 2 may have an unlimited amount of content (I will want to add to it in the future). Will this result in the div on page 1 being a huge block of empty space after its 6 lines?

Problems using cmd.exe in a script

What I'm trying to do is this. I have this program called
zoomify.exe on the server. (check out zoomify.com, its a cool image
magnification program). What I want to do is run a command like
this in cmd.exe:
D:\zoomify.exe D:\temp\image.jpg
If I was to run this inthe command prompt window on the
server it would create a folder within D:\temp named "Image" with
all the output files from the zoomify.exe. The program also works
so that if you drag and drop an image onto the exe in windows
explorer it does the same thing.
So I have this custom tag cfx_exec on the server and I have
it pull up a command prompt, enter in the parameters including
chr(13) and chr(10) to simulate hitting enter and then I throw
"Exit" at it as well to close the command prompt window. It acts as
though it runs no problem but it never actually creates the new
folder and image collection.
I know it is not a permission thing, coldfusion is run under
the domain administrator account and has full permission to execute
things like this. For example I use the same custom tag to run NET
USER commands to change active directory passwords and things of
this nature.
Can anyone suggest what I may be doing wrong here?

Figured it out...it was in the syntax...had to use single quotes around table and field names. Don't use Access much...Live and Learn Baby!

Creating a Pages Newsletter and embedding into the body of an email???

I have created a newsletter that I want to send to my clients via email, but I do not know if that is possible. I don't want to send it as an attachment, because some people will not even open it. Is there a way I can embed my flyer into the email body so right when people open the message it's there?

The only way to do what you are asking about is to create an html email. This is possible and assuming you are using Leopard, you can use Mail to do this. Start a new email and select the Stationary button that by default is on the right corner of the new email message window.
Pages cannot be used to create html code and the only way to use Pages to create your newsletter would be to create a PDF and attach it. The other possible option would be to send your email with a link to a webpage. You could experiment with using the Share to iWeb function and see if this could work for you. (Since I swore off - not to mention at - iWeb some time ago I don't know how well this would work.)

but i have to create pages with different sizes.
my first and second page are small and remaining pages are
big.
when i navigate to 3rd or 4th page, it is showing scrollbar
inside swf.
but i want scrollbar for browser window not inside my swf
anyone please guide me how to create pages in flex
application.
i have one more doubt, if my page contains some html links ,
how to open those links,
is it posible to open the link in new window.
please help me , i have no idea how to create web

I am getting vertical scrollbar for page3 and page4,
please tell me how to avoid this, Is their any other method
to do this.

in this application one more problem is also their,
background image loads very slow, before it loads all the flex
components will load. So when you open this please wait till
background image loaded, to move to next and back pages.
