Creating Unprintable Characters String in an ABAP program

Hello
I am tring to create a General Motors GM 1724-A format barcode label in Smartform.
The GM specifications state that the PDF4-417 must contain certain unprintable characters like ASCII 04, ASCII 29 and ASCII 30.
I want to create a sring of data in my Smartform Print Program and pass the entire string to the Smartform through an internal structure.
I have create 3 constants defned as hex (type x) '04', '1D' and '1E', but when I try to CONCACTONATE them into the structure field, the program comple erors out... You cannot CONCACTONATE a hex field.
When I moved those hex fields into a 1 char fields, they contain '0', '1' and '1'.
I cannot find a Function Module which will convert these hex into characters correctly.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I do something similar in putting a carriage return character into a file I am outputting.
This gives me no error when I concatenate the hex onto a character varaible.
So I would have thought the way you are trying would work.
data: c_cr type x value '0D'.
data: wa_field(1000).
concatenate wa_field c_cr into wa_field.

You can execute Native SQl statements.
Ex: To use a Native SQL statement, you must precede it with the EXEC SQL statement, and follow it with the ENDEXEC statement as follows:

There is no period after Native SQL statements. Furthermore, using inverted commas (") or an asterisk (*) at the beginning of a line in a native SQL statement does not introduce a comment as it would in normal ABAP syntax. You need to know whether table and field names are case-sensitive in your chosen database.
In Native SQL statements, the data is transported between the database table and the ABAP program using host variables. These are declared in the ABAP program, and preceded in the Native SQL statement by a colon (:). You can use elementary structures as host variables. Exceptionally, structures in an INTO clause are treated as though all of their fields were listed individually.
If the selection in a Native SQL SELECT statement is a table, you can pass it to ABAP line by line using the PERFORMING addition. The program calls a subroutine <form> for each line read. You can process the data further within the subroutine.
As in Open SQL, after the ENDEXEC statement, SY-DBCNT contains the number of lines processed. In nearly all cases, SY-SUBRC contains the value 0 after the ENDEXEC statement. Cursor operations form an exception: After FETCH, SY-SUBRC is 4 if no more records could be read. This also applies when you read a result set using EXEC SQL PERFORMING.

is it possible to create a DDic structure via a ABAP program? I've got the components and component type of the new structure in a table.
I want to create a DDic structure with this information. Is there function module or a method, with this functionality?

I need a DDic structure to use this in the exporting parameters of an remote-enabled function module. Thier isn't it posible to use an none typed parameter, because of the remote.
I want to create an admin-screen for an tool calls DocFinder. For this tool you need for every DocuSpace an extra structure to return the values.
We use this tool in an shared systemlandscape so its nessessary to use an remode-enabled function module.
In the admin-screen it should be able to create an new DocuSpace with its structures and other generatet coding.

There are two steps of testing, one white box and the other is black box.
In Black box, our primary aim is whether the program is functionally correct.
like Input Validations, and Output correctness and its relevance to the inputs.
The Screen headings and texts etc.
The white box testing is to look into the code for checking the way the data is being fetched / processed etc. Therem may be a number of ways a logic can be coded, but there will be a good way to doing it optimally.
You should check for such optimal coding standards.

Trigger a waiting ABAP program from a User Exit of CO01

Hi all,
   We would like to launch a ABAP program from a User Exit (EXIT_SAPLCOZV_001) of CO01, this ABAP program has a special characteristic: using Function Module RFC_PING_AND_WAIT, so this program will be existing until terminating event coming.
    Our purpose is terminate CO01 normally before finishing of ABAP program. We don't know if it's possible?
    Actually:
       1. when we use SUBMIT ..., the process will stop CO01 (stop not normally) and then launch ABAP program. => This is not suitable for our purpose.
       2. when we use SUBMIT ... and RETURN, CO01 will wait for finishing of ABAP program => This is not suitable for our purpose too, because we wish CO01 terminated normally when ABAP program is still existing and waiting for its terminating event.
Do you have a solution that is suitable for our purpose, could you please help us?
(The context is below:
Time: Begin-->CO finished> ABAP finished-->
   Launch CO01 --> Call User Exit --> Call ABAP program for waiting --> CO01 saved normally.
> ABAP program still waiting ---> waiting for terminating event

Hi,
     Try with the function module BP_EVENT_RAISE, it takes eventid, and eventparm as import parameters in the User exit.
1) With Eventid, you create a background job of the ABAP program and schedule it. Eventparm can be the Production order number.
2) So when ever the Event is triggered the FM gets triggered and which in turn run the ABAP program, so the foreground the CO01 transaction runs without waiting for the ABAP program to complete.

Where does ABAP programs , BAPI's etc., get saved?

We have an ERP server (ECC) and have created lots of database tables, functions, Abap programs etc.,
For some reason our ERP software is corrupted. However, the SQL database looks ok.
So here is what we want to do.
Since the SQL database is good, So we would like to backup the SQL database first.
We have a ghost image of the server that was done some 2 months back. So we would like to install the ghost image of the server from 2 months back. This will bring the server back to working condition but without data.
Then recover the SQL database which we backed up before installing the ghost.
By doing this, will we be able to get back all the tables, data elements, BAPIs, functions, ABAP programs etc.,
Please let us know.

Program sources are stored in a cluster like (comrpessed) table (tables REPOSRC and REPOTEXT and for older versions tables D010S, D010SINF, D010T, D010TINF) and so not easily downloadable.
You can create a report that read thru the abap program header table (TRDIR or via TADIR ) and execute the [READ REPORT|http://help.sap.com/abapdocu_70/en/ABAPREAD_REPORT.htm] statement to load source into an internal table, then you can download it

RRI calling Web Browser instead ABAP program

Hi All,
I have created a RRI to call an ABAP program. However, when I try to call the ABAP program (via GOTO) it opens a web browser.
If I execute the same query via RSRT, and call the ABAP program it works fine.
I have also create another RRI to call another query from within BEx and it works fine.
It only fails when calling ABAP program from BEx.
I have read on to apply SAP NOTE 972514 - Set the ms/redirect_version parameter to value 1 and restart your ABAP Web Application.
My ms/redirect is already = 1
Any ideas?

I do have authorization. There is no error. It just open a internet explore (URL) instead of executing the ABAP program.
Again, if I run the query via RSRT, it works just fine.

- Create a Transport of Copies within SE09 or SE10
- Include all the Transport request numbers which u colelcted from the version management of the priogram and transport the Transport of copies .
Ensure the Transports were included in the correct order (ascending Order) within the Transport of copies.

Call ABAP program from a Feature - PE03

We are in process of upgrading from 4.6 C to ECC 6.0. One feature (CSTV1) will not activate because there is a limit on generated programs to under 10,000 ABAP statements. SAP told me to call an ABAP program from the feature to reduce the number of ABAP statements in the generated program. Has anyone created a feature that called an ABAP program? I searched SAP help and I can't find any information about calling a ABAP program.

You can try it this way.. Get the name of the ABAP Program generated by the feature from its attributes. it will be something like '1PAPA/FEAT020Z0106'...May be you can change this program ie put a substantial chunk of this code in a subroutine in another program & call that with a PERFORM from this Program..
