Creating unsubscribe page in spaces application

Hi ,
In our application we are using spaces with custom task flow .We having some notification to send every time for some action.I have to create a new page , on which user can enter email id and click unsubscribe .
This page should open from the link in the email.
how to design this.what would be the right usecase for this?

Well,
it's up to you. The first part (Mcit-Project-ViewController-context-root) is the context root which you define in the view controller project. 'faces' is the name the servlet filter reacts on. You can't omit it but shorten it in web.xml. The rest is your directory structure. I'm not sure how to shorten this other as to move the jspx files back into the web root folder.
By the way an ADF faces app never uses the .jspx at the end of the url. If you specify '.jspx', you only render the page but don't start the work flow.

How to create multiple pages using flex application.

Hi all,
i am doing flex application which contains 5 different
pages,
to do this i have used viewstack component to navigate
between the pages.
this is working fine if all my pages are of same size. each
page as different background image.
but i have to create pages with different sizes.
my first and second page are small and remaining pages are
big.
when i navigate to 3rd or 4th page, it is showing scrollbar
inside swf.
but i want scrollbar for browser window not inside my swf
anyone please guide me how to create pages in flex
application.
i have one more doubt, if my page contains some html links ,
how to open those links,
is it posible to open the link in new window.
please help me , i have no idea how to create web
applications using flex

I am getting vertical scrollbar for page3 and page4,
please tell me how to avoid this, Is their any other method
to do this.

background image loads very slow, before it loads all the flex
components will load. So when you open this please wait till
background image loaded, to move to next and back pages.

Error creating dynamic page in an application with a schema other than portal30

Running 9iAS 1.0.2.2 on Solaris.
Database 8.1.7.1
I cannot seem to create a default dynamic page (select 'x' from dual) in an application that has a schema (e.g. test) other
than portal30. The error seems to be when portal tries to compile the dynamic-page package, it references itself from
within the package but prefixing the call with the other (test) schema. It never seems to compile? What seems to be the
problem? Any ideas?

If you are using any database object other than the applcation owned,then it has to be prefixed with the schema owner.
For example,
if the application schema is based on the schema "schema1" (say)
and your query is based on one of the object on "schema2"
and if you have necessary privilegves to access that object from schema2, then the compiler wont throw any error.
Can u explain, what u problem you are experiencing in detail?
(Also, if u give me the portal version, I can cross-verify that).

How to create a page break in application designer

Hi Folks,
I need to create a simple page break in a PeopleSoft online page for the purpose controlling how the page prints. To achieve this, I'm using an HTML area in app designer with the following page break code:
<p style="page-break-after:always;"></p>
Unfortunately, with this code, and extra blank page will print out after the HTML area. It's actually breaking both before and after the HTML area. I've tried every permutation of the 'break' command with no luck. How can I stop the extra blank page from printing?

I am new to Oracle portal. i am using Oracle 3.0.
i am working on an application in portal. i have created n number of forms, reports, dynamic pages, menus, sub menus & lovs etc. currently i access my application in a raw manner. first login , then go to the navigator link then applications & click on menu.
my menu is a single entry point to my application. how can i publish this. i.e what i want to do is the moment user logs in he should straight away get the menu view.
I have read there is something by which we can create pages & publish them.
Could someone tell me how to create a page where i can drop my components such as menu , forms & reports on to it & then create a complete portal.
I can see a create page in my oracle portal but the moment i try to add a portlet in that page it gives me option for adding an appliction only what i want to add is the componenets(such as menus, forms etc) residing inside my application.
what it gives me is 2 options 1 to edit & the other to navigate the application only, here i can see my components but cannot include them in my page.

You can create a page and add application components to it as portlets. The first step to do this is to go to the application and check the publish as portlet check box. Then go to each component that you want to publish and check the publish as portlet box. Once you do that, you create a page and click add portlet (in edit mode). This will give you the portlet repository. Your application should show up as a provider and each component that you checked will show up as a portlet.

Creating a table in the application pages and pasting it into iWeb 08

I have learned today that if you create a table in pages and then copy and paste it into iWeb 08 it uses the the ORIGINAL entry in the upper left cell as the name of the png file that is created as the image for the iWeb folder.
If that ORIGINAL name had a space in the name the resulting server can probably not link successfully the data in that png file.
Solution: When you FIRST create the table in the application pages that you plan to copy into iWeb use a single word in that upper left cell -- you can change the content later but the "pasted" file will be that word.png.

I use the class cl_xml_document to create XML documents.
It has all the methods required to create XML documents...perfectly. It is fairly straightforward when you get into it...and you can produce very good xml files.
also, try this little report...
whilst this is not full blown XML example it may give some ideas or possibly the format generated maybe be enough for your needs. This is a simple test example of converting an ITAB into an xml type file and then it was sent to a server

You can use other methods, additional to what this example shows, to create a true XML file. You need more coding - but the above example is just a 'quick and dirty' half waay house to get you moving along in one possible direction. I actually preferred using the class than transformations.

I researched the following codes from web site:

Extending WebCenter Spaces 11.1.1.3: Creating New Page - IGNORE DUPLICATE

I am attempting to create a new group space page template for Spaces that has a floating div on the right side that will have content wrap around it. It should look similar in concept to the image in this link:

This seems like it should be simple enough but I need to allow dynamic content to be added each region with Oracle Composer. Currently when I am testing this, composer generates html tables around the different components and the content of the two regions overlaps each other. Creating an index of all pages in the application?

Is there anyway I can create a page in my app that displays a dynamic index (list) of all pages in the application? Sort of like a table of contents that automatically updates if I create a new page?

The page comment is the last region on the page definition page. Just select a page, click the icon to edit and then click the Comments 'button' on the far right and it will focus you on that region.
As to why it is not working, what version of APEX are you using? There have been some changes to the views from their debut in 2.2 to 3.0. You should perfect your query using SQL Commands in the SQL Workshop and then can paste it into a report region. If you are using 3.0, you can also use the APEX Views utility under the Utilities tab.

Server Error on Create user page in 9iAS Portal 9.0.2.0

Hi,
I have installed Oracle 9iAS Portal 9.0.2.0 on WinNT
I got the SSO page loging thru admin login and everything is fine .....i can get into build page groups etc.....
Problem
creation of users
When i click Build --> Administer --> Create User
Page error:
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Hi!
I did what you said but I seem to miss the IDE folder. This is what it looks in my Explorer
C: > Program Files > SAP > IDE > CE > eclipse > (no folder called "examples")
I also did a search in this eclipse folder for "examples" but I did'nt find the example I'm looking for
I am running a newer version of NWDS:
SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio
SAP NetWeaver 7.1 Composition Environment SP03 PAT0000
Maybe that's why things don't look the same?
