Creating value set and restricting values based on operaing unit retrieved

I am creating a value set to retrieve inventory org's from org_organization_definitions table. I want to restrict the values based on the operating unit i retrieve from profile options.
How do i write it as a syntax while creating the value set at front end?
can you help me?

Hi Ivruksha,
Thank you for your reply! Here are more details:
We display the accounting flex for each segment in an ADF application we create. We query Fnd_Flex_Values_Vl to find the possible segment values for each segment. The customer has a use case, in EBS, there are two operating units A and B. Both A and B use the same independent flex value set for a key flex field but they display different segment values based on the given operating unit. We need to replicate this behavior in our form to be able to filter the segment values based on the operating unit.
We set the MOAC policy context to a single org so it will only show data from the specified org id. But for segment lookup, it still returns the same list of segment values for both operating units.

    Anyone can help me?
    Thanks,

    Thanks for your response. I have 2 quantities and 2 Unit price for each code, I know a simple sum in calculation it works for 1 unit price and quantity.  Can you please let me know how to do it? One of the expert sent m this:
    //change field names as needed
    var qt1 = this.getField("qt1").value;
    var up1 = this.getField("up1").value;
    var qt2 = this.getField("qt2").value;
    var up2 = this.getField("up2").value;
    event.value = (qt1 * up1) + (qt2 * up2);
    I put this in total text field (calculation tab , Custom script) , but it  did not worked.
    I appreciate it if anyone can help or give me  suggestion.

  • Dragging folders to create a set and collections?

    I know I can drag folders onto the collections tab to create a collection, but it flattens all the subfolders. Is there a way to drag a folder with subfolders and create collections in a collection set?
    If it helps, an example is that sometimes I may be moving folders to another location and a different structure, and before I do so I want to preserve that folder structure in a collection set.

    robgendreau wrote:
    Does it only do the entire folder tree?
    Yes.
    A logical place to add the feature you want is in the Collection Agent plugin, which has similar features already for duplicating collection sets etc.. - would you use it if it had such a feature? Note: it won't be as slick as drag n' drop - You'd have to select the parent folder, invoke a function to record, then select the position where collection set will need to be, and invoke another function to create. And it may not be obvious how to do all that without reading the instructions.. i.e. klunky, but if it's something you do often, it would be easier than creating manually..

    I rather meant a picture of your mapping - anyways. Hope this is correct:
    Your souce structure:
    <MT_IAR>
      <IAR_Recordset>
        <IAR_Details>
          <Inv_adj_date>
        </IAR_Details>
        <IAR_Details>
          <Inv_adj_date>
        </IAR_Details>
    Than mapping should be like this:
    <Inv_adj_date>        ==> SplitbyValue        ==> IDOC
    Please confirm this doesn't work.

  • Owb dimenion value based hierarchy

    Hi,
    I am looking for some documention or an example to create value based hierarchy in owb 11g r2. Under what condition value based hierarchy should be created and under what condition level based hierarchy should be created

    Based on my experience of OWB10gR2 the option to create a "Value Based" hierarchy is only enabled if you create an AW based OLAP model. If you want to create a ROLAP model then I do not think this is possible.
    Question is why create a ROLAP model when you could get better performance and more powerful analytical features by using a multidimensional model within an analytic workspace.

    I got the solution for this..,
    First of all we can't enter value based bill plans for header with having items..
    And, for this problem enter at least one line item and then proceed with bill plans.
    Then header can accepts you to enter the value based plans...

  • Value based analysis

    Hi Guru's
    I have a requirement to fill a column 'Value' based on column '% Units'. Where the data in the '% Units' is of the form 2.3, 4.2 8.7 and so on for respective accounts.
    I have a condition that if the '% units' is b/w 0-4.9 and 5-9.9 10-14.9, 15-19.9 the values in the 'Value' column are to be filled accordingly wit pre determined values as 1, 2, 3 and 4 respectively.
    Pls. suggest me how to fill the 'Value' column as such.
    Thank you and appreciate your help.

    Hi Vineet
    We have a requirement that 2 KF's have to be populated during Query runtime taking date as a variable input.
    So for the given dates % increase is calculated during runtime. Based on that '%Increase' the other KF "Value" has to be populated based on conditions.
    Condition is that if the '% increase' is b/w 0-4.9 and 5-9.9 10-14.9, above15; the values in the 'Value' column are to be filled accordingly with pre determined values as 1, 2, 3 and 4 respectively.
    Using customer exit we have written the code for the conditions and exceptions but how to get the '%increase' into customer exit to calculate Value.?
    Do we need to use a BADI or a virtual KF to populate Value? Instead of using a Customer Exit.
    Please help me out.

  • Auto Javadoc for Setter and getter methods

    Hi
    Is there a way to include javadoc while creating a Setter and getter itself?
    Thanks
    Tanjith

    but why addign javadoc to a getter/setter anywhy?Oracle [url http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E16162_01/apirefs.1112/e17483/oracle/jbo/common/AccTravDefImpl.html#getAccTravQualifiers()]does, so it must be OK :)
    But as Timo says, there's no automatic way that I know of. I suppose you could do something like that by making your own code template.

  • Set default value based on current day value and setItems in Design studio

    Hello
    I have 2 filters on my dashboard - year and month. The default display of the dashboard should populate current year data. Is it possible to create formula to populate dynamic default value based on the current date using setSelectedValue() ?
    Also, for the calendar month, the items are set as below
    DD_MONTH.setItems(DS_1.getMemberList("0CALMONTH",
    MemberPresentation.INTERNAL_KEY, MemberDisplay.TEXT, 12, "ALL");
    This displays month values as 01/2014, 02/2014 ... How can I change these value to display as January if mm = 01 and February if mm = 02 etc..
    Thanks
    Sirisha

    Hi Victor,
    I have tried using below statment to populate current year as the default selection value for the dropdown. Used it on Startup, but for some reason it loads all the data when the dashboard is opened the first time. Any ideas?
    DS_1.setFilter("0CALYEAR",[Convert.subString(APPLICATION.getInfo().dateNowInternalFormat, 4,6)]);
    Thanks

  • How to use SQL import to set the attribute value based on another?

    Hello all,
    I want to set an attribute of a dimension based on another attribute (if matches). Let's say I have a dimension PRODUCT. And I have defined two user defined attributes MANAGER and ISVISIBLE.
    Now within a PERMIT_READ program I want to set the ISIVISIBLE to true where the MANAGER Value is selected from a table.
    Something like
    <define a cursor c1 to select all the Manager values>
    sql import c1 into -
    :MATCHSKIPERR PRODUCT_MANAGER then <PRODUCT_ISVISIBLE (PRODUCT MANAGER) = true>
    <etc>
    Obviously the above is not correct. But I am stuck as to how this can be done? Can some one on this forum please help me with correct syntax/ approach please?
    Thanks a lot.
    Pxsheth
    This statement assigns true to the isvisible attribute for every gc_dim_bu dimension (selected as part of cursor c1).
    SO FAR SO GOOD.. NOW -
    If I want to change the above so that the attribute value gets assigned based on another attribute for the dimension (say a flag). i.e.
    Set the isvisible to true where attribute flag has a certain value. How do I code this in OLAP DML?

    There are a number of ways to do this. If you want to use an attribute that has been defined within AWM as an attribute of Product then simply using the mapping tool to populate the attribute as part of the normal dimension load procedure.
    Alternatively you could create an attribute at the DML level, and assuming you are not using surrogate keys, you can then define a cursor to read the relational table to populate your attribute. Something like this:
    sql declare MKT_BASKET cursor for -
    select PRODUCT_ID, PROD_MGR , PROD_VISIBLE -
    from PRODUCT_DIM
    if SQLCODE ne 0
    then goto ERROR
    sql open MY_CURSOR
    sql fetch MY-CURSOR loop into :append PRODUCT, :PRODUCT_MANAGER, :PRODUCT_ISVISIBLE
    sql close MY_CURSOR
    sql cleanup
    update
    commit
    If you want to create a complex PERMIT function using OLAP DML then personally I would create a formula and assign a program of type BOOLEAN and have the program return a YES or NO depending on the outcome of your test. Then your PERMIT_READ still references a dimension object. For example:
    DEFINE PROD.ISVISIBLE BOOLEAN FORMULA <PRODUCT>
    EQ PRG.ISVISIBLE(PRODUCT)
    DEFINE PRG.ISVISBLE PROGRAM BOOLEAN
    The program will then return Yes or No depending on the processing you need to do.
    Hope this helps

  • Restricting the values based on keyfigures.

    Hi All,
    Good Morning..
    I have a query on Bex reporting.
    I want to calculate transit aging.Just i want to find the difference between the two dates.
    I have one more field called quantity.
    I want to calculate the difference of dates only whose quantity is "ZERO". I can restrict the keyfigures based on characteristics. But for my case i want to restrict the keyfigures based on Quantity keyfigures.
    Is it possible in Query designer.
    Thanks in advance.
    Thanks,
    Siva.

    Hi,
    p.o number ______p.odate_______consimentdate______qty__aging
    87000001______01.02.2009______02.02.2009________1___ nil
    87000002______05.02.2009______07.02.2009________0____( current date - consiment date)
    Craete Two formula Variables with replacement path in columns..
    1. One is for PO date and replace with Key.
    2. Other is forconsiment date and replace with Key.
    then just drag and drop in two columns in report and see the output. Then create one formula and do substraction. In another column you craete one more formula and use If condition
    Column A = p.odate (with Replacemet variable value)
    Column B = consimentdate (with Replacemet variable value)
    Column C = B-A
    Column D =  If QTY <> 0 then C

  • OLAP on 11g and Materialised Views with Multiple Value-Based Hierarchies

    Hello OLAPians
    I am trying to setup Orable BIEE to report on an OLAP cube with pre-aggregated data. As OBIEE is not able to hook into the OLAP directly i have to create an SQL cubeview.
    Currently i am on a 10g OLAP environment and am using the oracle sample SQL cubeview generator to create an SQLview of my cube.
    The cube itself has multiple dimensions and these dimensions have multiple VALUE-based (ragged) hierarchies and dimension members can be shared across hierarchies also.
    Initially i had a problem running the view generator plugin because there is a bug within it that does not finish if there are multiple value-based hierarchies present. I was able to get around this by manually editing the limitmap for the cubeview and manually creating the SQL view.
    The question that i want to ask is how robust is the 11g materialised views with multiple value-based hierarchies and the sharing of dimension members across different hierarchies?
    Has anyone successfully been able to create a cubeview and import it into OBIEE without the hassle of manually editing the limitmap?
    A problem arises with the value-based setup whereby if the client creates a newer depth in the ragged hierarchy, i need to manually create the limitmap and the cube-view over again, and then re-map the BI Administration mappings.

    The simple answer to your question,
    how robust is the 11g materialised views with multiple value-based hierarchies...?is that materialized views are not supported on top of value-based hierarchies in 11g. The reason is that it is not possible to write a reasonable SQL statement that aggregates a fact over a value-based hierarchy. Such a SQL statement is necessary if we want to create a rewritable MV on top of the cube.
    But I suspect this is not what you are really asking. If you are trying to set up OBIEE on top of the cube in 10g using the view generator, then you will probably want to use the "ET VIEWS" that are generated automatically in 11g. These are generated whether or not you enable materialized views on top of your cube. I am not aware of any issues with the generated value-based hierarchy view support in 11g. Members may be shared between value hierarchies and you will not need to generate or modify limit maps.

  • Restricting the Prompt Values based on Fact table data

    Hi,
    We need dashboard prompts in OBIEE reports that will fetch data from dimension tables. Our all dimensions are conformed dimension having joined with multiple fact tables.
    Because prompts are showing data from dimension table, it is showing all dimension data and few data might not present in the particular fact table that we have used in the report.
    For Example:
    We have one Calendar dimension table that has 20 years data that means all dates. Now we have two fact tables Fact1 and Fact2.
    In Fact1 we have records related to only 2007 Years data. And In Fact2 We have 2008 years data.
    Now We are creating two separate reports in two separate page in one dashboard where the prompt is same. That is Calendar date prompt.
    So In report1, The prompt will be Calendare and Result will be from Fact1. But as the calendar prompt from Calendar dimension, it showing all 20 years data though only 2007 years data is valie.
    Similarly for Report2, It is showing all calendar dates in the prompt where Fact2 is having 2008 year data.
    I want to show only 2007 years dates in the prompt for Report1 and 2008 years dates for Report2. That means I want to restrict prompt values based on the fact.
    It will be great if someone can suggest on this.
    Regards,
    SS

    Hi, I have a similar problem.
    I have two dimensions: time and customer.
    The two dimensions are joined into two Fact Table (Order, Forecast).
    I created a dashboard prompt with two selections: the first is the Year (time dimension) and the second is the Region (customer dimension) with the option "cosntraint."
    When I select a Year, not all Regions are shown, but only those that are present in one of two fact table for the year chosen. Which fact table?
    What criteria will limit the values of the Region?
    Thanks
