Creating variable via looped link
i am sending a url with a variable that is a modified series
of variables
sublnk=SECID=2*SECTSUBID=2*SECTSUB1ID=90
i replaced the "&" with "*" because it is a sub variable
in url string (i.e) sublnk=#sublnk#...? (please don't ask)
anyway when i get to the display page i need to split up and
make variables of SECID, SECTSUBID, SECTSUB1ID
I tried a list loop:
<cfloop index="catzzz" list="#sublnk#" delimiters="*">
<cfset #catzzz#>
</cfloop>
what i want is:
<cfset SECID=2>, etc.
does not work.... ????

without making it dynamic with # sign as in

the variable "varVal" is dynamic.... it works but i don't get

Ora-12052 on creating MV via DB-link
Hello,
I am new to materialized views and database links. So I started trying with both of them.
A lot of things worked by searching in the internet. This one despite causes trouble:
I am trying to create a materialized view by using a database link which connects two databases.
The link is established and I am able to create the mv for a single mastertable by using the options 'fast' and 'on demand'.
Now I am facing the problem, that i have to select from several tables.
Oracle answers with the error Ora-12052 and tells me, that there is a hurdle with row-ids or an outer join.
In my layout are neither row-ids used nor I am using an outer join in my statement.
The proposed solution by specifying 'force' or 'complete' doesn't fit in my case as it seems to me, because I am really in need of the fast option.
Can anyone tell me what's wrong?
Thanks in advance.Oracle answers with the error Ora-12052 and tells me, that there is a hurdle with row-ids or an outer join.You haven't understood the error message. It says that you need to add either ROWIDs in the MV Definition or Join on Unique columns.
Generally, FAST refresh's require Primary Keys. In the absence of a PK, you have to add ROWID of each source table in the MV Definition.
Instead of "searching in the internet" you should use the standard Oracle Documentation.
Thus, you should see "General Restrictions on Fast Refresh" and "Restrictions on Fast Refresh on Materialized Views with Joins Only" at

In fact, you should read the whole of that chapter and the rest of the documentation, instead of "searching the internet". -

In our Bex query designer, I am not able to create any variables. There are some existing variables there in the query but I just can't seem to modify them either (we took over the project from another company). Does it have anything to do with query locking?
I have S_ALL och reporting profiles so I should have enough authorization for this.
Any help is appreciated.

We use APO 3.1/BW2.1C and I think you're probably right. The Bex we have on the other hand is 3.5. So when right-clicking on a characteristic as you mentioned, I get only 'Refresh' and I don't have the New Variable option at all in the query designer.
I can't find anything in RSA1 that could be used for creating/maintaining variable. You have any idea?
Some old SAP documents mention about creating variable via Business Explorer ® Maintain Variables. But I can't find this link at all, neither in AWB nor in Bex.

Creating a file download link on jsp
I have the following on my jsp. The code worked fine until I tried to use it in a new html design page.

When I click on this link I get the download dialog box. If I open it I get the following open up in notepad(the files I am trying to give download links are .txt files)

I know this code is probably not a good way of doing what I need but I got it to work fine until the change.

The problem I am having now is that when I click on one of the links and download the file and then open it, I get the contents of the file plus concatenated to the end of it is the first few HTML lines of the actual jsp that I downloaded the file from. Webi - Pass Hierarchy Filter via Document Link
Hi
I am creating WEBI reports on BO 4.0 SP2 patch 8.
I want to pass the parameters from Webi report 1 via document link to Webi report 2.
Within report 1 you can filter the data by the following:
Parameter 1: Customer
Parameter 2: Calender Month
Parameter 3: Profit center Hierarchy
Parameter 1 & 2 work perfectly the selected customer and month passes to report 2.
However Parameter 3: hierarchy is giving me hassles.
I enter the Hierarchy into the document prompt text and key in editing the document link.
On selecting the hyperlink I get the error message:
" Invalid answer 0HIER [ ] for variable ZPCTR_GRP error message WIS 00013."
Has anybody been able to pass a filtered Hierarchy via Document Links on BO 4.0?

I haven't seen this particular issue come through support.
the warning seems to suggest that an invalid selection has been made, however the brackets [ ] show nothing! So perhaps the string's been provided in the wrong format, or text is being returned when infact it needs key. (i'm speculating)
a few questions to begin:
- Are you passing a hiearchy interval as a range parameter ? (i.e. 2 or more nodes/members from different levels in the hierarchy)
- Do you notice a difference when using the other viewer technology: DHTML (WEB) vs JAVA (Rich) ?
It might be worth using the TraceLog service on the webi processing server and DSL_bridge (APS) to capture your workflow, and get more details error messaging. Also, RSTT trace in BW may catch something of interest.

How to create a step loop control in a screen
Hi,
Basically, what I need to do is to create a fully dynamic screen. I want to send the structure name and the fiednames and the function will create a screen will all the required fields.
I explored many possibilities and the best one seems to be using the step loop control in a screen. I know, this is really old technology but I do not care as long as this work great !
I saw that the function group MASSFREESELECTIONS is doing it, this look pretty simple, fast and fully dynamic...
My only problem is that I'm not able to create a step loop control in a standard screen.... is it an obsolete function that was removed from the control list ?

STEP LOOPS
Step Loops are type of screen table . Step loops are repeated blocks of field in a screen. Each block contains one or more fields and these blocks are repeated. Step loops arent like actual table. You can scroll vertically but not horizontally. Three steps are associated with creation of step loops:
Creation of step loops on screen, which includes declaring fields on the screen and then defining the step, loops for these fields.
Passing data to the step loop is exactly similar to the passing of data to table controls.
In step loop, you dont need to define the step loop as such in the module pool program but the cursor needs to be defined in the program.
Types of Step Loops
Static Static Step Loop (SSL) have fixed size that cannot be changed during the runtime. If user resizes the window, the size of the static step loop is not changed.
Dynamic Dynamic Step Loop (DSL) is variable in size. When the user resizes the window, the system increases or decreases the number of the step loop blocks.
You can have only one dynamic step loop and can have as many static loops in your transaction.
Programming with the Static and dynamic step loop is exactly same. For the system or for the user it doesnt make any difference whether it is static or dynamic step loop. Only attribute, which you fix during designing of the step loop, is type attribute for step loop F for fixed i.e static and V for variable i.e. dynamic.

Module Set in module pool program assigns the values to step loop fields, which is similar to table controls.

I would like to know ... how do I create variable ? I know it is via T CODE GS11, but when run tht, in the next screen it pops up for variable ? What variable do I need to enter ? is this predelivered Eg : CE-PK, or can we create one ? Please advise

Using the PCA reporting tables gives you the profit center but not the cost center. You can only use one reporting table per report. you will need a cctr report for that.
First create your own libray from GLPCT. Next create your report using your new library. The report painter can do the calculations that you have shown.
You create a formula in the row or column to calculate your sub totals.

Can we create our own loops in Logic Pro. I see in all the tutorials. They are either taking input from external instruments OR use existing apple loops.
I have tried FL studio demo to create our own loops. But there is no trial version for Logic Pro. Need your inputs before I purchase it.

It is as simple as selecting a Region (optional trimming recommended) and choose the Export command.
A Dialog window opens up that lets you enter the metadata
Apple had its separate "Apple Loop Utility" app (now only available in the developer package) that allowed you to create loops in a standalone app. The built-in loop capability in Logic uses part of that engine.

I have faced similar problem some time ago. I could not find any solution except removing bind parameters in where clause. I tried to change binding style but it also didn't work. I think the problem is caused by view link's where clause. -

You can create variables in the BEx Query by right clicking on your characteristic and then selecting Restrict. A pop up window will appear. On the left side of the pop-up window, right click on a white space and then select New Variable. How do I create jump to (page) links using DPS in creating a digital page turner for a catalog?
I know how to use "navto" to jump to pages within the catalog created for our app.
We want to use the same article files to create a digital page turner using DPS but cannot figure out how to do it. Google searches lead to answers that say it isn't possible, but if i view a page turner I created in 3D Issue via Adobe's Content Viewer, the pages jump (via the links I made in 3D Issue).
I just can't believe that a huge company like Adobe has no way to do this in DPS.On pages you do not want to show-up delselect "include page in navigation menu" in the page inspector:

I have a summary report which allows me to access a form via a link: The form opens up with its fields populated with the corresponding record from the report.
Can additional code be added to the after displaying page section of the form such that some of the fields can be assigned with different values from those in the original record? If so, can anyone offer some sample code for this?Hi,
You can access and set the values of the columns in forms by using certain apis. All the columns in the form are available in the session which can be accessed and set.

The above code sets and gets value of the form fields. The form field is accessed by prefixing "A" to the form column name. For example if the column name is "DEPTNO" then to access or set value to it you should refer to the session variable "A_DEPTNO".

Sharing an imported PDF via a link
I uploaded/imported an AcroForm to my FormCentral (FC) account, added the submit button in FC and now I'd like to share a link to the file for users to access the form, vs me having to send them a the Submission-Enabled PDF version that I downloaded.
I thought there was a way to share the PDF via a link, however, the "copy fillable form link" button is greyed out. My understanding is that the form that I uploaded to my FC account is hosted on the Adobe server, so why can't I generate a link that I can have others point to - to access the form? Or is the option to share direct links to the form ONLY for Web/HTML forms created within FC?

The Import AcroForm feature allows you to use a form you have already authored, not requiring you to re-author in FormsCentral, to collect your data in FormsCentral and access features like Submission Reciepts, Notifications and the reporting available allowing you to share access to the responses etc. The Imported PDF does not create an HTML fillable form and does not provide any URL to the form.
You can host your form on a website and create a link to download the PDF from there rather than attaching the PDF to email, but there is no URL provided by FormsCentral. How complex is your form? Could you re-create it using our authoring?

Report Painter - creating variables - foreign currency

in Report Painter we have a customized report to print "Financial Statement" (with a specific balance structure ). I am asked to add BLART field in selection-screen. I was thinking to create variable in GS11 transaction but I don't know if it's the right solution. The "library" is linked to GLT0 table (balance account) so how can I obtain details related to BKPF-BLART "document type" ? The second question is "how to display the Financial Statement in a different currency ? "

Creating Variables From Text File
Hello a little new to powershell and have banging my head on the wall trying to get this working.
I have a text file (where the numbers of lines will change everytime) that will contain AD groups.
Lets say it looks like this
GroupA
GroupB
GroupC
I'm trying to you a loop that will read the file and output each new line to a variable so
var1=GroupA
Var2 =GroupB
Var3=Groupc
My first problem is that non of these can be null since this will be then be used with Add-ADgroupmemeber
So I have it get the number of items with $Items = get-content *File* | Measure-Object -Line
After that I have been trying to use a loop which to me looks like it should work however is not. I'm not getting any errors. However I'm not getting any created variables either.
For ($i=1; $i -lt $Items.lines; $i++) {
$var[$i] = (Get-Content *File*)[$i-1]
write-host $var[$i]}
In my head I should get a listed of each line of the txt file but I'm getting nothing.
In the end I was hoping to doing something along the lines of ADD-Adgroupmember -identity $Var[$i] -members *Machine Name*
If there is a better way to approach this I'm all ears.

For example, if your file looks like:
GroupA
GroupB
GroupC
with spaces/empty lines in it, that you wish to ignore, you can use:
$Groups = Get-Content .\groups2.txt | % { ($_.split(" ",[System.StringSplitOptions]::RemoveEmptyEntries)) }
The $Groups variable will be an array that holds non-empty lines from the file. You can use that directly as in:
foreach ($Group in (Get-Content .\groups2.txt | % { ($_.split(" ",[System.StringSplitOptions]::RemoveEmptyEntries)) })) {
