Creation bokmarks from headers and styles of Word 2010

HI, everyone!
I faced with the following problem. I convert the PDF from the Word 2010 document with bookmarks based on Headers and Styles, but only Headers appear in output PDF.
I use Adobe Acrobat 10.1.2.
Could you help me, pleeeeaasee )

Hi,
There is an issue in Acrobat 10.1.2 due to which Word styles cannot be converted to Bookmarks. This issue will be fixed in the next patch of Acrobat. In the mean time if you want a workaround then you can do the following steps:
Uninstall Acrobat 10.1.2.
Reinstall Acrobat 10 and do not update to 10.1.2
Set the preference to convert Word Styles to Bookmarks.
Convert the word file to PDF and Bookmarks will get created for Word Styles.

Greetings for the day
I am created a new CSS in Robohelp 9. I have also created a new template in Word 2010. The style sets for different information elements like (Heading, bullets, body text, ) are more or less same between the CSS and the new templates. I am also able to map the .css styles to Word template when I am converting from RH to Word as I am getting the necessary option in the drop-down list.
However, when the output is generated, the bullet, the numbered list and the body text is not converting at all. The body text works sometimes. However, the numbered list and bullet list is coming out as images.
If anybody knows the solution, I can share the .css and Word template.

Create a new project with two or three topics containing lists of both types. Generate a printed output that shows the problem. Then zip it up and send it to me. See the Contact page on my site for instructions.

There's really no way to suppress headers and footers in Word output?

Says here that there's nothing you can do to suppress the headers and footers RoboHelp adds to Word / PDF output. Is that really true?

If Peter says it is true, it is. It is easily resolved though with some easy post production edits. Peter even gives you a process that he follows on that page.

Can't copy text or images from webpages and paste into word documents or notepad

Today suddenly I cannot copy text or images from webpages (I tried many different ones) and paste into my word 2010 document or notepad. What can I do to get this ability back. Yesterday it worked fine. It does not appear to be a problem with word or notepad so I have to assume it is a problem with Firefox

Copy from safari and paste somewhere words is hard to use

I want ot copy a art clip from safari and then paste it somewhere I have word but it is very hard to use I have numbers and the art clip can not be sized
so where can I paste the art clip and be able to put in text and size, color, text, etc then print

Insert a Shape into Numbers first (from the drop down Shapes menu in the top of Numbers).
Then drag the image from Safari into the Shape you have created (not into a cell in Numbers).
You can then resize the shape and if you click on the shape you can adjust the mask which will control how much of the image you can see.

Problems when i copy text from Pdf and paste on Word

In Pdf documente the text is in perfect conditions, but, when i copy the text and paste in WORD document the character change into random crazy character like: "()*"*&!(!*"(!"(!)"( )*"()!*("!&("@*")(!*@"!*@(
how i fix this??

I have the same problem when copying the PDF into a Word file. I tried Save as RTF doc. and it is still just symbols.
It could be a font problem, because it has some weird Gill Sans and Futura fonts. I am sending a picture as an example.
The option of exporting as Tiff and then applying OCR is interesting but still is kind of slow when i have a 100 pages document. If the fonts is the problem is there any way i could select the whole text and apply it a known font like Arial?

I have to paste/special/text when copying from Firefox and pasting in Word or Excel

When copying data from a table on IE, I just have to paste (ctrl-v), and the data is pasted into appropriate separate cells.
In Firefox, I have to "paste special" and click "text" to separate the fields. Otherwise, all the data is pasted into a single cell or in the case of Word, one paragraph.
Is there a setting that can be designated to allow paste as in IE or as within Word or Excel?

How do I cut an object from a pic using photoshop and paste just that object on a word doc? Everything i've done so far has given me a square box with white in it? Thanks

That is expected and inherent how the office apps work. You need to save the files as a PNG or TIFF with transparency and properly import them into Word using the Insert Graphic function.

Copy and pasting - maintaining content integrity when copy from pdf and pasting to word doc

My firm is currently using an older version of Acrobat to transfer portions of medical report to a word document format. We are only taking select excerpts and not exporting the whole document. As of now, i copy and paste the needed piece to word but the integrity of the transfer is terrible. Many misspelled words, wrong spacing, characters replacing letter, etc...We are curious if this issue could be resolved by upgrading to the latest version of Acrobat. Thanks for your help!

If you could give the version of Acrobat and post some before and after screen shots it would help us understand the issue (yes, avoid any personal info). Was the original PDF created as a scan? If so, is it clearscan or searchable? There are many issues that are hard to comment on because we don't know how the PDF was produced or what has been done to it in the meantime. It may be that an upgrade would help, but not necessarily. If you have a spare machine available, you could always download and install the trial to see if it would resolve the issue -- I would not install the trial over your current version.

Automatic downsizing of an image when copy-paste from .doc to .docx in word 2010?

Hello,
I was changing the headers of a series of word documents (some .doc, some .docx) and, in spite of inserting the image from a file in each one, i just copied and pasted the image from one to another after a first insertion.
My source image was a 300dpi rgb jpeg: i noticed that, when coping it from a .doc document to a .docx document the image automatically downsizes to 150dpi and becomes a png; Is there a reason for it? Is there something I am doing wrong? Where can I eventually
control that setting?

Export text from ID5 (Windows) to MS Word 2010

Hi, everybody. My problem goes like this:
I have around 1000 pages of a book in several PageMaker 7.0 files (1 chapter per file).
I have converted the files to ID5 and now I need to export the text and the images to get one Word file for each chapter of the book.
The objective is a major revision/modification.
Eack chapter has a lot of pictures placed inline that flows with the text.
What I need is to put everything in word files in a way that would make life easier for people that is going to make modifications to the text but want to see the images (in screen resolution).
I have no problem exporting the text from ID 5 (rtf files).
Any ideias for putting the images on the Word file without having to do, at least, screen captures with Snagit and placing manually a representation of the images, one by one, in each of the Word files?

Not sure how image captions crept into this discussion, but I guessing a language confusion.
Essentially my application works as follows:
It gathers a list of all open documents and their stories, and all the graphics within the stories. Each graphic is checked to make sure it is linked (not embedded), and is inline (not floating) and gives a warning if there is a problem.
Once activated, it finds all the inline graphics,
deletes them and replaces them with the full path to the linked file, wrapped in double < and > symbols. I use this symbol pattern because it is never used in any of our material.
The stories are then exported to rtf files, and all the documents are closed (without saving).
The exported stories are then opened into Word and each placeholder is found using <<*>>, this gives the location for the graphic, and the path can be extracted from the content of the find. The graphic is then inserted, replacing the placeholder text, and repeated until there are no more find results. There may be an easier way to do this bit, but this work for me.
A Word version of the InDesign styles are merged from a separate Word template file to fix other layout incompatibilities.
The files are then saved as Word files.
The application also performs few more functions happening in the background as well to compensate for compatibility problems between the InDesign and Word styles.
This is all done with a combination of AppleScript and Javascript. You should be able to achieve the same with Visual Basic.

Creation of SCA Package from EAR and SDA

Hi All,
As we know that when a CAF project is created then another 4 projects( dictionary, ejbmodule, permission and webdynpro) are created with the main CAF project and at deployment time five files are deployed at J2EE engine. Among them four are EAR files and one SDA file(for dictionary project).
I want to put all the five files ( four EAR and one SDA) within a SCA package. So, how can I do it? I have got a help(Note number 696084) of creation SCA from SDA and EAR but that is applied for NetWeaver'04. Now I am using NetWeaver'04S and NWDS SP7 and SP8. So please could anybody help me to solve the problem.

Text boxes in topics from Word 2010

I'm using RH 8 (technical communication suite 2.5): when I import a word document (Word 2010) all the topics are included in boxes. How can I correct this?

MX885 causing cursor flash in word 2010

For some weeks my mx885 multifunction printer is causing constant and very annoying cursor flash (changing constantly from busy to normal and back) under word 2010. (WIN 7 x64 Office professional x86) If I change printer to anything else, evene mx 885 fax, this phenomenon disappears, but whenever I really want to print I always have to make the printer change procedure to avoid this.
Is there a driver version where this flaw have been corrected? Or is there one to await in the near future? Or any other solution to solve this?
