Creation of an adapter to populate the lookup filed

Hi,
The source of the data is OIM.I need to fetch the data to populate the groups in the lookup field.I would like to know how the data is being fetched from the OIM database.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I given dynamic lookup population solution many time in this forum.Please look at following post for more information.

Your group information will be stored in UGP so create your query accordingly.Let me know if you have any more questions.

  • Adapter to populate De-provisioning date

    Hi,
    I would like to build an adapter to populate the "De-provisioning date" field = 2 weeks + end date. In short, when an end-date is entered, the "De-provisioning" date should be automatically equals to "End date" + 14 days.
    Any idea what's the steps involve and which type of adapter to use? Please provide steps if it's possible.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    The following steps helps you to populate deprovisioning date. This is a sample code and it doesn't test all the conditions. Change the code according to your needs.
    1. Create a class file of the following code and jar it.
    2. Copy the jar file in the Java Tasks folder of the OIM Server.
    3. Create a new entity adapter and save it.
    3. Add a adapter variable of type Date and give map to as Resolve at Runtime.
    4. Create a Adapter task of type "Java" and click continue and then continue.
    5. Give a name for the task and then Select the jar file from the API source drop down.
    6. Select the method and save it.
    7. Map the variables and save it.
    8. Close the window and compile the adapter.
    9. Open Data Object Manager and query for "Users" form.
    10. In the pre insert tab add the newly created adapter
    11. From Map To tab select the adapter. Map the variables, Adapter return variable to USR_DEPROVSIONING_DATE and EndDate(Adapter variable) to USR_END_DATE.
    12. Save Data Object Manager.
    13. Finally create a user from admin console and give end date.
    here is the sampel code which needs to be compiled .
    public Date getDeprovisioningDate(Date endDate)
         try {
         SimpleDateFormat sdf = new SimpleDateFormat("MMMM dd, yyyy");
         Calendar c1 = Calendar.getInstance();
         c1.setTime((Date)endDate);
         c1.add(Calendar.DATE ,14);
         return c1.getTime();
         } catch(Exception e) {
         e.printStackTrace();
         return new Date();
    }

  • How to populate the main table and the lookup's at the same time

    Hi ,
       What I have with me is the XML files which contain the data from the material master and the excel sheet which talks about the mapping . it basically tells me which field of the main table maps to which field of which segment in the IDOC and also the name of the table and the field in the R3 system .
    I wish to use this info to populate the data in the material repository .
    - How can I populate the data in the lookup table at the same time when I am populating the main table ? I have only the XML's that correspond to the main table . I don't have seperate data for the lookup tables .
    - Can I use the standard maps available for import in the business content of material repository in MDM ?
    - If the answer to the second question is NO then I think i can create the maps and save them for future use .

    Deepak Singh

    Hi, Deepak
    >>> - How can I populate the data in the lookup table at the same time when I am populating the main table ? I have only the XML's that correspond to the main table . I don't have seperate data for the lookup tables .
    I don't think you can populate both main table and all fields of lookup tables at the same time, i.e. using same map. You can consider 2 options to upload all information you have:
    1) If your XML file contains data you would like to upload to lookup tables, you can upload it to MDM lookup tables with several maps using same XML and choosing different sections of that XML corresponding to different MDM lookup tables.
    2) Also you can upload main table simultaneously with lookup table entries (using same map), but in this case new lookup table entries will only contain display field values that you mapped. To do this you should use 'Add' value mapping functionality for fields that you mapped to lookup tables.
    >>>- Can I use the standard maps available for import in the business content of material repository in MDM ?
    1) In case you have material master repository delivered by SAP and you use XML files which structure corresponds to SAP predelivered XSD schemas then you can use these maps undoubtedly.
    2) If your repository is based on SAP predelivered, but you changed it ,you should adjust these maps due to differences in repository structure and  XML files structure.
    3) If you created your repository from scratch you should consider option of making your own import maps.

  • How to populate the enddate after change in user status

    Hi,
    I have created an entity adapter to populate start date and end date.
    I have a scheduler that disables user accounts based on following two conditions:
    1. The system date and end date are same.
    2. There is a predefined difference in number of days between start date and end date.
    Now the requirement is that the end date has to be populated with a new value when the user is enabled.
    I have created a process task adapter that computes the new end date.I have created a new task in Xellerate user process and attached this adapter to new task.I have mapped the output of adapter to User definition-End date.This new task has been added as a dependent task in the enable user task.Also in the USR_PROCESS_TRIGGER i have added USR_END_DATE and have provided the adapter name in decode column.
    Now when i try to enable user,the account gets enabled but end date is not populated with new value.
    I am not getting any errors on the either.
    Please let me know if my approach is right.Please guide me.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    I created a trigger for USR_DISABLE insted of USR_END_DATE and added the process name for decode value in the lookup.When i do this the process to update the enddate is triggered while creating user also.Please find the stack trace :

  • Populate OIM Lookup With Database Values

    I am trying to figure out a way to populate a lookup in OIM with values from an Oracle database. For example, I have a table containing a list of departments with their department ID. I would like to pull these values into a lookup.
    The AD connector's GroupReconTask is very similar to what I want to accomplish. I'm hoping to be able to create an adapter or task that will do something similar.
    Has anyone been successful in attempting something like this or knows of a possible way?

    You need to write a Java class extending com.thortech.xl.scheduler.tasks.SchedulerBaseTask. Use Thor.API.Operations.tcLookupOperationsIntf's methods addLookupValue/updateLookupValue to add/update the lookup values. Check out the Javadoc for more on the same.
    Here is the doc link on how to create a schduled task -> http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B32479_01/doc.903/b32453/oimadm.htm#sthref302

  • Why is the LookUp object in the Flow Task of my SSIS package going red (and not working) ? Sql Server 2008 R2

    I have been working with the Sql Server 2008 R2 SSIS Tutorial at
    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms170419(v=sql.105).aspx
    --specifically -- Lesson 1.  I have been having some problems with this lesson where the source data from the samples download doesn’t exactly match the data described in the tutorial, and the tables in the tutorial are different from what
    is contained in AdventureWorksDW (tutorial refers to DimTime – AdventureWorksDW contains DimDate and no DimTime).
    So, after futzing in BI with this tutorial  so that I can at least get it to run in Debug – it errors out on the 2nd LookUp object.
    Rather than looking for a fix to the problem(s) that I am having between the tutorial and the stuff I downloaded in the samples --
     I want “Adapt” the tutorial so I can use the stuff I downloaded and hopefully learn how to use SSIS with the elements (source data and tables) that are present on my workstation.
    Here is a description of what is going on for me – which I really don’t understand what is going on in BI – based on the images below – like what columns (from what tables) are they associating to in the OleDB Destination?
    Note:  the sql in the LookUps here is the sql that I copied from the tutorial.
    I probably need to modify these sql statements – so -- the help I am requesting is to make the required modifications/changes
     so that I can adapt this tutorial with the stuff that’s on my workstation.
    I downloaded the samples and the AdventureWorksDW mdf for Sql Server 2008 R2.
    It turns out that in the tutorial it wants me to select a DimTime table, but the version of the AdventureWorksDW db does not contain a DimTime table.
    Instead, it contains a DimDate table.  So I tried adapting DimDate for the tutorial.
    Additionally, the sample data file -- SampleCurrencyData.txt -- has slightly different data types than the types described in the tutorial, so I selected data types for the columns in the datasource text file that would work in BI would to
    connect column from source data file to the table.
    After finishing all the steps for Lesson 1 -- when I tried debugging the package – and it error'd out on  the 2nd Lookup object whichwent red.
      I edited the lookups and the sample Ole DB Destination to "ignore on fail” and I did all
     green but the FactCurrencyRate table is not being populated -- as described in the tutorial, so I reset the on error back to default (Fail on error option).   And based on this tutorial -- I believe FactCurrencyRate
    table is the table which is supposed to be populated with the data from SampleCurrencyData.txt?
    In the sample data file that downloaded with all the samples  I removed all the data from the text file except for 6 rows, so instead of the original 1100 or so rows, I have only 6 rows of data in the source data file (just to keep things
    simple for debugging for now).  I did not modify the data itself.
    Here is what the (raw) data contained in SampleCurrencyData.txt looks like (from the samples that I downloaded from codeplex) – it’s supposed to be 4 columns of data – float, nvarchar, datetime, float:
    0.281690141       USD
    6/26/2004 0:00  0.281713948

    Below are images of my BI Layout for Lesson 1 from this tutorial -- the FlatFile and configurations for On Fail Error, A Flow task, the 2 LookUps (CurrencyKey and DataKey), the OleDB Destination configuration, the Design view of the associated tables and
    the Debug Run of Lesson 1, and the following error messages. My goal is to figure out what is going on in BI for this tutorial.

    Thank you for your reply.  I changed the error handling as you suggested on the 2nd lookup to redirect to unmatched rows.  Now I get all greet.  I don't have the conditional split as in your diagram.  But also, nothing appears to have
    happened in the DB.  Aren't the rows in my text file supposed to be added to the FactCurrencyRate table?
    How do I get a conditional split?
    Rich P
    OK, sorry I forgot to reply you back.
    Conditional Split was just dummy task. Ignore it.
    Manipulate the data in such way that you get matching records.
    Inside Source, for first 2 rows I put the dates which are available in DimDate.
    1.00010001,ARS,7/1/2005 0:00,0.99960016
    1.00010001,ARS,2/5/2006 0:00,1.001001001
    1.00020004,ARS,9/5/2001 0:00,0.99990001
    1.00020004,ARS,9/6/2001 0:00,1.00040016
    1.00050025,ARS,9/7/2001 0:00,0.99990001
    1.00050025,ARS,9/8/2001 0:00,1.001001001
    Then in OLE DB Destination, I loaded the rows to TestFactTable.
    (Now, you don't even need NO MATCH OUTPUT as there are matching records here)

    BUT User expecting to see the Sender GLN and Receiver GLN in Seeburger Message Tracking.
    It should be dynamically picked form GS1 Message. Should Appear in RED BOXES Shown below.What Module Parameters Should be used for this.
    I have Tried destTargetMsg  and destSourceMsg. But did'nt work.
    can anyone please Help

    Hi Veman
    You are correct. For XML to XML, you do not need BIC module.
    However, since you are not using BIC module, you will not be able to enrich the metadata using the archiveXI parameter during processing at the adapter framework.
    Another place to enrich the metadata would be during message mapping. You can call a custom UDF to populate the metadata and create an entry in Seeburger Message Tracking.
    Please refer to the Seeburger manual for Message Tracking Function for more details on how to create the UDF.

While creating the Contract with reference to Sales Order I want to populate the attribute "Truch Net Value" of the Sales Order with some value and update the Sales Order.  So to update the attibute of the Sales Order during Contract Creation. Is there any function module that I can use for this purpose? I know where to write the code in the standard program? But I don't know how to populate the attibute?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Welcome to SCN!!!
    After the contract is created, you can call the BAPI BAPI_SALESORDER_CHANGE along with COMMIT to change the order texts. Alternatively you can use FMs SAVE_TEXT and COMMIT_TEXT to change any kind of texts.
    You can check the parameters to be passed by placing the breakpoints in these FMs, change and save the text manually from VA02 in the sales order.
    Thanks,
    Vinod.

  • Pre-populate the process form as part of Role Alignment - Need suggestion

    Hi,
    As part of implementation we are going to take over the Provisioning of AD (Via Groups-->Access Policy) using OIM which was initially configured to provision manually. Now as part of migration we required to assign a base group to the users who has already AD reconciled resource (and align it with policy via SQL updates -->POL_key is process form, OIU_POLICY_BASED in OIU table). We are doing this as part of direct SQL updates. The other part of the requirement to align the process form values using the configured pre-populate adapters (for e.g. if the current value of any attribute is X and the prepopulate adapter suggest that it should be Y then the migration should also update this attribute.) We tried to use the prepopulateProcessForm API of tcFormInstanceOperationsIntf but it seems this is working only when the System Validation is in Pending state. The other option we are thinking of putting java code and then call the prepopulate adapter by passing each input params and updating tha value via API if any update is required. Just wondering if there is anything else we can use as part of bext practices. If anyone has done this kind of implemntation please let us know your inputs. Thanks

    Hero,
    You want to ...
    1. create users
    2. give them privileges
    3. assign them to groups
    4. assign a default groups to users
    You will need to do this in the following sequence of steps...
    1. Populate the user entries in OID, and assign the default group
    2. Create the groups in OID and assign the users to them
    3. Assign the appropriate portal privileges to the groups
    For step 1 and 2, I'll have to refer you to the OID Administrator's Guide for Release 9.0.2.
    This document contains a lot of good information, but in particular, you'll want to review Appendix I ...
    "Migrating User Data from Application-Specific Repositories". This addresses the LDIF migration tool
    and describes the schema elements needed for the IAS user accounts.
    For step 3, the easiest way would be to assign the privileges to the groups through the user interface. Once the groups are defined
    in OID, you can select them via the Portal UI to assign the portal privileges to them.
    The proper place to locate portal instance-specific groups is under the portal instance group base, which is
    cn=portal_groups, cn=groups, <subscriber_base>. The following white paper
    may be helpful to understand the organization of the directory information tree.

  • Populate the KZWI1 to 6 fields (Sub-Total fields) in VBAP, in VA01

    Hello,
    Am looking to populate the KZWI1, KZWI2, KZWI3, KZWI4, KZWI5 and KZWI6 fields (Sub-Total fields) in VBAP, while in the process of creation of Sales Order - VA01.
    So, Is MOVE_FIELDS_TO_VBAP is a good/appropriate user-exit for me?
    Thank you.

    certainly userexit_move_field_to_vbap in MV45AFZZ will allow you to change the values of VBAP fields during order creation.
    I do have concerns about fields KZWI1 etc, as they are subtotal fields on the pricing conditions and consequently derived.
    But yes you should be able to change them here.

  • Can we auto populate the bill to address in an SR from the bill to from AR

    We have two customers that have a relationship setup in AR. We the ship the parts to one customer and bill the second customer. When we create a service request, can we have the second customers address automatically populate into the bill to address. We have a party relationship setup so we can select the bill to address from the LOV, but the user doesn't always know which bill to address they should be selecting, so it would be nice if we could get the correct one to auto populate.

    There are three options to do this (ofcourse none are standard).
    Source can be item instance or customer master itself.
    1. Maintain the relationship in the item instance (serial number) if you are using customer products to create service requests. If you have that bill to in the csi_ip_accounts, and when the instance is used for the service request creation, you can default that in the service request using custom.pll or personlization. This should be easy.
    2. Or using the same approach, you can go HZ tables to get the bill_to of that ship_to.
    3. If you are using SR workflow, plugin one node which updates this in the SR.
    Thanks

  • I create a birthday calendar in iCal and then click on it in iphoto at the begining of the calendar project each year.  Some how the birthday did not populate the photo calendar.  Is there a way to add the birthday iCal calendar into the calendar project?

    I created a birthday calendar to use in iphoto for calendar.  When a new calendar project is started each year, I click on it in.  Some how the birthday did not populate the photo calendar this year.  The photo calendar is almost complete.  Is there a way to add the birthday iCal calendar into the calendar project? I would prefer not to start over.

    Hi,
    If you first select the calendar on the left, so that its background is highlighted blue/grey, when you make a new events they should be added to that calendar.
    Best wishes
