Creation of Procedure, view in the TimesTen IMD

Hi,
Query No. 1
Existing procedure of Oracle Database we are trying to compile in TimesTen In-Memory database.
One temporary table of that same procedure we have cached in the TimesTen IMD. but there are other objects (sequence, table, functions) in the procedure which are not cached in the TT IMD. while compilation in the TT database it is giving "table or view does not exist" error.
Is there are any solution to retrieve data from Oracle database though objects are not part of the TT IMD.
Our understanding here is, if particular Objects are cached in the TT IMD then it will access that object information from TT IMD database and rest of which are not cached in the TT IMD it should take from backend(Oracle Database). so please confirm whether our understanding is proper or not. if not then please guide us on the same.
Query No. 2
Can we create view in the TimesTen IMD for Object which are part of Oracle Database. and those objects are not cached in the TT IMD.

For #1:
TimesTen does support a feature called PassThrough which allows 'transparent' access to objects in the Oracle database under specific circumstances. However, the frunctionality of PassThrough is very limited when PL/SQL is being used. In general, any object referenced by a PL/SQL procedure that is executing in TimesTen must exist in TimesTen.
Even when PassThrough can be used, queries and transactions cannot span TimesTen and Oracle. Every individual query will always execute completely in TimesTen (all objects must reside in TimesTen) or Oracle (all objects must reside in Oracle. You cannot execute a single SQL statement that references objects in both TimesTen and Oracle. Similarly, transactions on TimesTen are separate from Transactions in Oracle; we do not do any form of distributed transaction. If you update objects in both TimesTen and Oracle within one transaction you actually have two separate transactions; one in Oracle and one in TimesTen. When you commit, it is possible that one of the transactions will succeed and the other fail. This type of mixed usage is not recommended.
For #2:
No. You could cache tables from Oracle into TimesTen and then create a view in TimesTen on the cached tables.

    Well, I'm not an expert on this but my experience is that you cannot link a DLL directly into another DLL or even into a .EXE. You need to create an 'import library' which is a .LIB file that contains definitions of all the entry points into the DLL and then link that .LIB into the DLL or .EXE. Then the DLL will be dynamically loaded at run time.
    If I recall correctly (it is a long time since I have done this) you can create the import library at the time you create the DLL by including the /IMPLIB directive on the link command that you use to create the original DLL.
    Hope that is some help...

  • While executing procedure it is giving Error in the TT IMD

    Hi Chris,
    Main User Cacheuser (Cache Admin User)
    Other User Interchange (TimesTen User - Same name as Oracle 11g Database User)
    Normally we are connecting through cacheuser to create any objects in the Interchange user.
    I have created procedure in the Interchange user from cacheuser cache admin user.
    Procedure is created in the Interchange user. but when i am executing that same procedure in the cacheuser user
    -- Pl/Sql block executing from cacheuser
    declare
    sOutPut varchar2(4000);
    begin
    interchange.#procedurename# ('123456', sOutPut);
    end;
    After executing we are getting error:
    failed,[TimesTen][TimesTen 11.2.1.3.0 ODBC Driver][TimesTen]TT5227: Insufficient privileges error occurred while performing an Oracle operation in OCIStmtExecute(): ORA-01031: insufficient privileges rc = -1. -- file "bdbStmt.c", lineno 3868, procedure "ttBDbStmtExecute()"
    then we have issued following command for privilege, but still it is coming same error.
    grant execute on interchange."procedurename" to cacheuser;

    Hi Chris,
    Previously PassThrough=1 (we have kept this parameter to access oracle objects from TT IMD) it was there in our sys_odbc.ini file, but after that we have created procedure in the TimesTen and also created all objects related to that procedure in the TimesTen database. and due to that we have removed passthrough entry from sys_odbc.ini file because all object we created in the TimesTen database.
    Purpose of creating all objects related to that procedure in the TimesTen database was we tried to compiled procedure in the TimesTen IMD and the some obejcts inside procedure refered from Oracle 11G database that time it was shown error "table does not exist".
    Note : That time PassThrough parameter set was "1".+
    Currently we are executing procedure through TimesTen Database only. we have not yet checked through application.
    Can i have list of passthrough and the purpose of the same.

  • Creation of Column view for Multiprovider failed

    Dear Experts,
    I'm facing an issue in TR import.
    The TR failed with the below error message.
    Creation of column view for XXXXX failed.
    XXXXX - Multiprovider
    System :BW on HANA (BW 7.4 SP06)
    If there's a way to resolve this error, please let me know.
    Appreciate your help.
    Br, Harish

    Hi,
    Here's the workaround I have implemented for this issue.
    Implemented the note 1955263 and made the below correction to the programSAP_RSADMIN_MAINTAIN.
    Object = MPRO_CS_GEN_ERROR_IGNORE
    Value = X
    After the above customizations are done, TRs are imported without any issues.
    For the OSS message I have raised, SAP has asked us to implement the note 2001969 to fix the issue.

    Hi,
      Please follow the below steps.
    Creating the Classification View using the Function module 'BAPI_OBJCL_CREATE'.
    Check the Class Type and Class Number which you are passing.
    Generally it will be Class type - 001 (Material Class) and Number will be ENGINEERING.
    It depends.
    But, what you can do is, Check material which has classification data filled.
    And just use the same class Type and Class Number Details.
    Try this way.It should work.
    To know the Available Class Types refer to table TCLA.
    Please let me know, if you want further help.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Creation of new view in ICWC

    Hi All,
    I have created the new view in my custom CRM_IC. Can I know what is the next step to do in order for the new view to show in ICWC - what is the inbound or outbound plug all about?
    Appreciate if someone can list me all the steps. Thanks

    Objective
    Calling a custom Simple View for the follow-up activity. Whenever, we click the link of a follow-up activity from the activity clipboard, the system leads us to “Simple Activity” view, where we can maintain the description and the status.
    Note
    This is just a guideline document to work with customer specific view sets for one case. While following this procedure for other cases, we may need to do further enhancements.
    A.     Primary Steps
    Create Custom Package “Z_CONS_COOK1”
    Create BSP application “Z_CRM_IC1” under package “Z_CONS_COOK1”.
    B.     Creating View Sets & Controllers
    1.     Through workbench transaction, Create New View Set: SimpleActivitySet
    2.     Specify view area name “main”.
    3.     All Controller & Model Classes are generated in the background.
    4.     Redefine method “GET_STATE_DESCRIPTION” of Controller Class “ZL_Z_CRM_IC_SIMPLEACTIVIT_IMPL” & populate with following source code:
    METHOD IF_BSP_WD_HISTORY_STATE_DESCR~GET_STATE_DESCRIPTION.
    *CALL METHOD SUPER->IF_BSP_WD_HISTORY_STATE_DESCR~GET_STATE_DESCRIPTION
    EXPORTING
       IV_CURRENT_DESCRIPTION =
    RECEIVING
       DESCRIPTION            =
        DESCRIPTION = TEXT-001.     " 'Simple Activity'
    ENDMETHOD.
    5.     Corresponding BSP Page is generated with the following code:
    %@page language="abap"%
    <%@ extension name="htmlb" prefix="htmlb"%>
    <%@ extension name="xhtmlb" prefix="xhtmlb"%>
    <%@ extension name="crm_bsp_ic" prefix="crmic"%>
    <%@ extension name="bsp" prefix="bsp"%>
    <crmic:gridLayout cellSpacing="1" columnSize="1" height="100%"
    rowSize="1" width="100%">
    <crmic:gridLayoutCell colSpan="1" columnIndex="1"
    rowIndex="1" rowSpan="1">
                <bsp:call  comp_id="<%=controller->GET_VIEWAREA_CONTENT_ID( 'main' )%>"
    url="<%=controller->GET_VIEWAREA_CONTENT_URL( 'main' )%>"/>
                </crmic:gridLayoutCell>
    </crmic:gridLayout>
    6.     Activate all objects
    C.     Creating Views & Controllers
    1.     Create View using IC Web Client Workbench transaction. Give view name “SimpleActivity”.
    In the wizard enter our view name, and specify all model nodes, model attributes and links to custom controllers.
    Add Model Nodes:
    Model Nodes          BOL Entity     High-level model node    BOL Relation
    GT_BTORDER     BTOrder
    GR_BTADMINH     BTAdminH     GT_BTORDER          BTOrderHeader
    GR_BTSTATUS     BTStatusH     GR_BTADMINH          BTHeaderStatusSet
    GR_BTSTATUSH     BTStatus     GR_BTSTATUS          BTStatusHCurrent
    Four nodes are the pointers to the similarly named BOL entities of the focus object. The focus object will be the Activity that the user clicked in the Activity Clipboard. Whenever this happens, an instance method of the controller is called. Method “IP_INBOUNDPLUGID” retrieves the BOL entities from the global memory and places them into these attributes. They can also be seen as buffers since they are used in multiple locations within the controller class.
         Value node: Optional entry, keep it blank.
    Add Model Attributes:
    Model Attribute     Model Node          BOL Attribute
    DESCRIPTION     GR_BTADMINH     DESCRIPTION
    STATUS          GR_BTSTATUSH     STATUS
    Create Links to Custom Controller
    Context node:          GT_BTORDER
    BSP Application:     CRM_IC
    Custom Controller:     CuCoBDC.do
    Context node (Custom Controller):     CURRENTINTERACTIONRECORD
    Select View Type
    Type: Form View
    2.     Restart the IC Web Client Workbench. We will observe, controller class is generated with methods. If we want to enhance these methods we should redefine them in the corresponding *_IMPL class.
    3.     Define the Inbound Plug.
    This is the method that is called by the framework whenever we navigate to our view set. Define method “IP_INBOUNDPLUGID” and populate with following code:
    Following attributes added to the controller class, as it was showing an error message:
    GR_BTORDER      TYPE REF TO     CL_CRM_BOL_ENTITY
    GR_BTADMINH     TYPE REF TO     CL_CRM_BOL_ENTITY
    GR_BTSTATUSH     TYPE REF TO     CL_CRM_BOL_ENTITY
    GR_BTSTATUS     TYPE REF TO     CL_CRM_BOL_ENTITY
    METHOD IP_INBOUNDPLUGID.
    data: lr_bdc     type ref to cl_crm_ic_cucobdc_impl,
          lr_btorder type ref to if_bol_bo_property_access.
    *- Read Parameter
      lr_bdc ?= get_custom_controller( 'CuCoBDC' ).
      CALL METHOD lr_bdc->get_navigation_data
      IMPORTING
        ev_selected_object = lr_btorder.
    *- Read Model
    IF lr_btorder IS BOUND.
        TRY.
           gr_btorder  ?= lr_btorder.
           gr_btadminh  = gr_btorder->get_related_entity(
                          iv_relation_name = 'BTOrderHeader' ).
           gr_btstatush = gr_btadminh->get_related_entity(
                          iv_relation_name = 'BTHeaderStatusSet' ).
           IF gr_btstatush IS NOT BOUND.
              gr_btstatush = gr_btadminh->create_related_entity(
                          iv_relation_name = 'BTHeaderStatusSet' ).
           ENDIF.
           gr_btstatus = gr_btstatush->get_related_entity(
                          iv_relation_name = 'BTStatusHCurrent' ).
           IF gr_btstatush IS NOT BOUND.
              gr_btstatush = gr_btstatush->create_related_entity(
                          iv_relation_name = 'BTStatusHCurrent' ).
           ENDIF.
           CATCH cx_root.
        ENDTRY.
    ENDIF.
    ENDMETHOD.
    4.     Confirm View Layout “SimpleActivity” consistency.
    5.     Two methods are responsible for the data transfer between the model/controller and the view and are created automatically by the wizard.
    SET_MODELLS -- Sends data to the view (PBO)
    DO_HANDLE_DATA -- Retrieves data from the HTTP request fields (PAI)
    We can redefine these methods for further enhancements.
    D.     Adjusting IC Web Client Framework
    After having defined the views, controllers and classes, we need to hook them up to the runtime profile of IC Web Client.
    STEPS:
    1.     To prepare IC Web Client framework for custom-built view-sets, create a new runtime profile BSP application in the customer namespace.
    Create BSP application “Z_CRM_IC_RT_REP” under package “Z_CONS_COOK1”.
    Copy the file CRM_IC.xml from the BSP application CRM_IC_RT_REP to “Z_CRM_IC_RT_REP”.
    2.     Adjust the contents of file “CRM_IC.xml”, as under:
    <%@page language="abap"%><?xml version="1.0"?>
    <WebDynProDefinitions>
        <Application id="CRM_IC">
            <ViewSets>
    <%@include file="../Z_CRM_IC_DT_REP/CRM_IC_All_Viewsets.xml" %>
            </ViewSets>
            <NavigationalLinks>
    <%@include file="../Z_CRM_IC_DT_REP/CRM_IC_All_NavLinks.xml" %>
            </NavigationalLinks>
        </Application>
    </WebDynProDefinitions>
    3.     Create BSP application Z_CRM_IC_DT_REP in package Z_CONS_COOK1.
    4.     Copy page fragment CRM_IC_All_Viewsets.xml of BSP application CRM_IC_DT_REP to Z_CRM_IC_DT_REP and replace the file contents with the following lines:
    Page fragment: CRM_IC_All_Viewsets.xml
    <%@page language="abap"%>
    <%@include file="MainViewSet.xml" %>
    <%@include file="../CRM_IC_DT_REP/BuPaViewSet.xml" %>
    <%@include file="../CRM_IC_DT_REP/CRM_IC_All_Viewsets_wo_BUPA_and_Main.xml" %>
    This definition still works with all standard view sets, but replaces the MainViewSet.xml with our own definition, since it is now loaded from Z_CRM_IC_DT_REP.
    5.     Copy page fragment MainViewSet.xml from BSP application CRM_IC_DT_REP to Z_CRM_IC_DT_REP.
    6.     Copy page fragment CRM_IC_All_NavLinks.xml of BSP application CRM_IC_DT_REP to Z_CRM_IC_DT_REP and replace the file contents with the following line:
    <%@page language="abap" %>
    <%@ include file="../CRM_IC_DT_REP/CRM_IC_All_NavLinks.xml" %>
    This definition makes sure that standard navigational links still work and that we are able to add our own link definitions later.
    7.     Activate all objects.
    8.     Customize the IC Web Client Runtime Framework Profile in such a way that the new Source file is used with the following sample code:
    Navigation: SPRO &#61664; CRM &#61664; Interaction Center Web Client &#61664; Customer-Specific System Modifications &#61664; Define IC Web Client Runtime Framework Profiles.
    Provide new profile name “ZCUST_PROF” & populate it with following set of attributes:
    Profile name:      ZCUST_PROF
    Component Set:      ALL
    Separate Display Model: Off
    Application:      IC_BASE
    Viewset name:     workViewSet
    Runtime Rep.Type: BSP Application
    Application:          Z_CRM_IC_RT_REP
    Page:          CRM_IC.XML
    E.     Creating View Definitions for Design Time Repositories
    1.     Every new view set must be defined in Design Time Repository. For this purpose, create page fragment SimpleActivitySet.xml in BSP application Z_CRM_IC_DT_REP and maintain it as shown in the following sample code:
    Page fragment “SimpleActivitySet.xml”
    <%@page language="abap"%>
    <ViewSet id="Z_CRM_IC1 /SimpleActivitySet">
    <ViewArea id="main" views="Z_CRM_IC1 /SimpleActivity"/>
    </ViewSet>
    2.     Include file “SimpleActivitySet.xml" into page CRM_IC_All_Viewsets.xml of BSP application Z_CRM_IC_DT_REP.
    Page “CRM_IC_All_Viewsets.xml” after modification:
    <%@page language="abap"%>
    <%@include file="MainViewSet.xml" %>
    <%@include file="../CRM_IC_DT_REP/BuPaViewSet.xml" %>
    <%@include file="../CRM_IC_DT_REP/CRM_IC_All_Viewsets_wo_BUPA_and_Main.xml" %>
    <%@ include file="SimpleActivitySet.xml" %>
    3.     Activate all objects.
    F.     Creating Navigational Link Definitions for Design Time Repositories
    To provide a navigational link for the activity clipboard, define this link.
    1.     Create Page fragment “SimpleActivityNavLinks.xml” in BSP Application “Z_CRM_IC_DT_REP” and maintain layout with following code:
    <NavigationalLink name="SimpleActivity">
    <Source viewRef="IRecActivitiesClipboard"
    outboundPlugRef="default"/>
                   <Targets>
    <Target viewRef=" Z_CRM_IC1/SimpleActivity"
    inboundPlugRef="inboundplugid"/>
    </Targets>
    </NavigationalLink>
    2.     Similar to the view definition, also the Navigational Link must be included into the framework.
    Add the following line
    <%@ include file="SimpleActivityNavLinks.xml" %>  to the file
    CRM_IC_ALL_NavLinks.xml in the BSP application “Z_CRM_IC_DT_REP”.
    Page fragment “CRM_IC_All_NavLinks.xml” – source code
    <%@page language="abap" %>
    <%@ include file="../CRM_IC_DT_REP/CRM_IC_All_NavLinks.xml" %>
    <%@ include file="SimpleActivityNavLinks.xml" %>
    3.     Activate all objects.
    G.     Placing View Sets into Controller Hierarchies
    1.     Adjust the file MainViewSet.xml in BSP application Z_CRM_IC_DT_REP.
    Add the reference to our view set and activate the file as shown in the following sample code:
              Page fragment: MainViewSet.xml
    <%@page language="abap"%>
    <ViewSet id="IC_BASE/ICAPPMainViewSet">
         <ViewArea id="navigationArea" views="IC_BASE/navigationViewSet"/>
         <ViewArea id="workArea" views="IC_BASE/workViewSet"/>
         <ViewArea id="contextArea" views="IC_BASE/contextAreaView"/>
         <ViewArea id="breadCrumbsArea" views="IC_BASE/BreadCrumbsView"/>
         <ViewArea id="globalSearchArea" views="HistoryView"/>
         <ViewArea id="helpArea" views="Help"/>
           <ViewArea id="statusArea" views="StatusView"/>
         <ViewArea id="errorArea" views="IC_BASE/ErrorViewSet"/>
    </ViewSet>
    <ViewSet id="IC_BASE/navigationViewSet">
         <ViewArea id="navigationViewSetArea" views="IC_BASE/NavBarView"/>
    </ViewSet>
    <ViewSet id="IC_BASE/workViewSet">
         <ViewArea id="workViewSetArea"
                     views="<%@include file="../CRM_IC_DT_REP/StdWorkareaOccupation.xml" %>
                     Z_CRM_IC1/SimpleActivitySet "/>
    </ViewSet>
    H.     Customize Activity Clipboard
    To make activity clipboard call our new view set, change it’s customizing.
    1.     Create Activity Clipboard profile called “ZCUST_PROF”.
    Navigation: SPRO &#61664; CRM &#61664; IC Web Client &#61664; Basic Functions &#61664; Define Activity Clipboard Profiles.
    Profile name: ZCUST_PROF (copy all entries)
    Keep Technical Profile name: DEFAULT
    2.     Assign this profile to IC Web Client profile.
    3.     Create a new entry for the object BTOrder and wrapped object type BUS2000126 by copying the existing entry BTORDERBUS2000126.
    Activity Clipboard Entry ID: ZBTORDERBUS2000126
    BOL Type: BTOrder
    NavigationLink: SimpleActivity
    4.     Go back to your profile and select Assign Entries to Profile. Replace the original Entry ID BTORDERBUS2000126  with your new entry ZBTORDERBUS2000126.
    5.     Activate your changes and test the IC WebClient (application CRM_IC)

  • Creation of materialized view

    Hi All,
    We had created some other materialized view with for small set of data. The materialized view name is ‘XXCA_PAGL_RECON_GL1_TRANS_MV’ and it has created a table with the same name.
    What I am unable to understand is that the new table which was created by the system during the creation of materialized view is in VALID state but the materialized view is in INVALID state.
    Please help me to understand this process.
    Thanks in advance
    Venkatesh

    The column dba_objects.status for mviews is set to INVALID when the base tables are updated. See Metalink note 454552.1. It is normal.

    I am not using HTML renderer but PDF renderer. See code below:
                   String format = "pdf";
                   RetrieveData oRetrieveData = null;
                   oRetrieveData = new RetrieveData();
                   if (format == "pdf") {
                        // Get a Document info object in character view format.
                        RetrieveBinaryView oRetrieveBinaryView = new RetrieveBinaryView();
                        ViewSupport oViewSupport = new ViewSupport();
                        oViewSupport.setOutputFormat(OutputFormatType.PDF);
                        oViewSupport.setViewType(ViewType.BINARY);
                        oViewSupport.setViewMode(ViewModeType.REPORT_PAGE);
                        oRetrieveBinaryView.setViewSupport(oViewSupport);
                        oRetrieveData.setRetrieveView(oRetrieveBinaryView);
                        // retrieve binary data
                        boDocInfo = oReportEngine.getDocumentInformation(documentCUID, null, null, null, oRetrieveData);
                        documentCUID = boDocInfo.getDocumentReference();
                        BinaryView oBinaryView = (BinaryView) boDocInfo.getView();
                        docContents = oBinaryView.getContent();
    In the mean time I already figured out that I need to use ViewModeType.REPORT_PAGE as you sugested.
    Problem we are having now is that PDF rendering takes at best 6 seconds on pageserver.exe to render report. But if we render it on CR Developer, it renders imediately.
    Report is referencing stored procedure on oracle.

  • What is the procedure to transfor the data to idoc.

    Hi Abapers,
    What is the procedure to transfor the data to idoc.
    I have added some new fields in my program. so now i need to transfer those same filed into IDOC.
    Can any body tell me the procedure.
    Points will be given.

    Hi,
    First of all, you have to find an EXIT in the driver program. In the exit, you have to populate the values to the new segments which you created.
    Creation of custom idoc includes the  following steps:
    Create Segment ( WE31)
    Create Idoc Type ( WE30)
    Create Message Type ( WE81)
    Assign Idoc Type to Message Type ( WE82)
    Creating a Segment
    Go to transaction code WE31
    Enter the name for your segment type and click on the Create icon Type the short text Enter the variable names and data elements Save it and go back Go to Edit -> Set Release Follow steps to create more number of segments
    Create IDOC Type
    Go to transaction code WE30
    Enter the Object Name, select Basic type and click Create icon Select the create new option and enter a description for your basic IDOC type and press enter Select the IDOC Name and click Create icon The system prompts us to enter a segment type and its attributes Choose the appropriate values and press Enter The system transfers the name of the segment type to the IDOC editor.
    Create IDOC Type
    Follow these steps to add more number of segments to Parent or as Parent-child relation
    Save it and go back
    Go to Edit -> Set release
    Create Message Type
    Go to transaction code WE81
    Change the details from Display mode to Change mode After selection, the system will give this message “The table is cross-client (see Help for further info)”. Press Enter Click New Entries to create new Message Type Fill details Save it and go back
    Assign Message Type to IDoc Type
    Go to transaction code WE82
    Change the details from Display mode to Change mode After selection, the system will give this message “The table is cross-client (see Help for further info)”. Press Enter.
    Click New Entries to create new Message Type.
    Fill details
    Save it and go back

  • Sales view in the material masterq

    Hi All,
    Is there any posibilities to keep a check in the material master creations (Sales View) " If plant data storage view does not exist for a material" system will not allow to extend a sales view in the same plant.
    Thanks in advance
    Samir Bhatt

    by standard there is no such check, as each view can be created individually, and one department may be quicker than the other department.
    But of course you can use an user exit MGA00001 to do such checks when saving.

  • Popup for view of the same component

    Hi,
    I want to display a view in a popup window, I know how to do it using interface view of an external component.
    But Is it possible to open a view of the same component in a popup window?
    Regards,
    Mauricio

    Hi,
    Create a window in you component, say MyPopUpWindow.
    In Runtime Repository, Attache the view of your component to this window.
    Now create a Component Usage , Say CUXyzPopUp , for your component as used component and use MyPopUpWindow in there. Always use F4 for attaching views, windows and attaching window to Component Usage.
    You are done !!
    Now use the usual code for creation of popup using this Component Usage.
    reuse_popup = comp_controller->window_manager->create_popup(
    iv_interface_view_name = 'ZCOMP/MyPopupWindow'  "#EC NOTEXT
    iv_usage_name = 'CUMyPopup'                      "#EC NOTEXT
    iv_title = lv_title  ).
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks & Regards

  • How to configuration of pricing procedure based on the Region

    Hi,
    please help me how to configuration of pricing procedure based on the Region in the roll out project.
    Thanks
    mustafa

    What I proposed to do was,
    a. Create routes like 0 day route, 1 Day route, 2 day route etc.
    b. Route determination is based on the Shipping condition of the customer. Put in the shipping condition for the customer as 00 - immediate delivery. 01 - By Truck, 02 - By Rail, 03 - Ship etc
    c. Now, put in your route determination in such a way that routes change in the sales order with shipping condition (SC). Like, if the shipping condition is set to 00, then 0 day route comes up. Meaning immediate delivery, if SC is 01, then your normal route by truck picks up. etc.
    When the sales order is manually created, you know the time of creation. As route is one of the criteria, the material confirmation happens based on number of days you put in the route to reach the destination. Now that you have the material available for today's delivery, the delivery program can be run to create it, or it can be manually created.
    Now, when you configure the route you have to specify 'Transit duration in calendar days'.
    When you have the sales order created electronically (say thru EDI), then, you may have to ask them to send in shipping condition. Else, you have to modify the function module Idoc_input_orders in such a way that if the sales order creation time is < 12 PM, then put shipping condition as 00, else copy what ever is there in the customer.
    If you do not want to check the time manually when the user creates the sales order, then you may have to use the user exit MV45AFZZ (and I think you can use Save_order_prepare) to check the time and change the shipping condition. By this you will avoid extra coding in Idoc_input_orders and also need not bother if the user changed the route or not.
    Hope my explanation helps.

    Mukund S

  • Why is my keynote crashing when i try to view in the light table?

    My Keynote presentation crashes when I try to view it in the light table view, and the whole system has to be restarted. The file is not huge, only 54 slides, mostly graphics and video plus a little bit of text. It is under 1GB in size, which I can usually manage without issue. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Does anyone know of a solution or a workaround? I'd be so grateful for any help. Thanks!

    Try this maintenance routine which has solved quite a few issues:
    1
    Close all applications
    2
    Uninstall Keynote; this must be done with an application remover tool to delete the installation properly. Appcleaner is known to work correctly for this purpose, it is free and can be downloaded from here: Appcleaner Download
    3
    empty the trash
    4
    shutdown the Mac and restart. After the start up chime, hold down the shift key until the apple logo appears
    let the Mac complete the start up procedure completely, it will take longer than usual as the hard drive is being repaired
    5
    go to;   Applications > Utilities > Disc Utility > First Aid > Repair Disc Permissions
    when this is completed restart the Mac normally
    6
    Reinstall Keynote using the original discs or logging into the Mac App Store and installing from there.
    Post back to let others know if this helped

  • Revoke select on "all_source" view from the public ?

    Fellow DBA's
    There is a security audit going on at my client's site and one of the requirements is to
    revoke select on "*all_source*" view from the public .
    1) Can Someone point out if there are any immediate ramifications of doing this (As in will the application
    get affected in any way.. I don't assume so ) I scoured metalink but couldn't find any docs which cautions agaist it .
    2) Now there are over 150 databases (8i,9i,10g) with several different development teams . How do i go about ensuring that the developers are not affected by this change . DO I need to create a seperate view based on this one for seperate teams .. ?
    I am kinda new to this and any pointers are much appreciated
    Regards,
    SV

    Thanks for your instant response guys ...I agree with u all in thats it's not the smartest thing to do .
    I will try and explain it to the them ..but these big firm auditors tend to be rather thickheaded
    In the event that I am still forced to do it ....do u have any pointers on the best way to go about this .
    Any pros and cons from past experiences or link to some useful material would be great.
    There are a number of "security hints" type papers on the intertubes, generally they say things like:
    SQL> REVOKE SELECT ON ALL_SOURCE from PUBLIC;
    SQL> CREATE ROLE VIEW_CODE_ROLE;
    SQL> GRANT SELECT ON ALL_SOURCE to VIEW_CODE_ROLE;
    SQL> GRANT EXECUTE ANY PROCEDURE to VIEW_CODE_ROLE;
    The general idea is to protect against random bad guys figuring out various things from unwrapped code. Doesn't do anything to protect against inside jobs, but there's other things the auditors care about for that. Of course, this particular solution I got from one of those papers on the intertubes gives a major security hole to newbie developers with the execute any procedure, whatcha gonna do? They gotta see their own code, right?

  • Exclude Server in Maintenance View from the Alert View?

    Hello,
    I don't know if my eyes are crossing but I would like to create a view excluding the server in maintenance mode. So far I do not see an easy way to do it... except maybe through a grouping process under Authoring!!!
    I would like an alert views with only the active servers. If a server has a previous alert and I pass it in Maintenance Mode it remains in the view I would like to exclude it.
    Any idea?
    Thanks,
    Dom
    System Center Operations Manager 2007 / System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R2 / Forefront Client Security / Forefront Identity Manager

    I agree with Suresh and Gautam. One addition to this is that you have to ensure that you have procedures in place that requires to put an object into maintenance mode
    BEFORE you do any maintenance. That saves you from a lot of unwanted alerts. What you see quite often is that users will put it in maintenance mode after the first alerts arrive. Teach your users to do it before and also make sure that this
    is added to your RFC procedure and manuals. If you have this step added to runbooks you can reduce the amount of false alerts.
    Hello Ruud
    The training was done. The main issue we are facing is for upgrade/fix etc... the alert requesting the fix or the upgrade is often pending so the idea from Suresh is excellent
    Thanks,
    Dom
