The exact model would be a 4 digit not a 3. Assuming you had CT6840 the nearest model number I can think of base on your description.
CT6840 refer to the Video Blaster WebCam Plus and it's driver is available on the website.

Creative camera not detected error...

Ok, I have a creative webcam pro. Not ex, just the Pro.
I got it like last year and it was working fine. But up until two months ago my computer crashed and I had to reformat and all that good stuff...
Now I put in the cd and install it. I plug in the camera and it says creative camera not detected. For some reason my computer installed the cam as "Dual mode usb camera plus"
So after that I uninstalled everything and this time it installed the camera correctly. But I still get the error. So I uninstalled, yadda yadda. I can't get this thing to work! It worked before my computer crashed, so I dont see why it doesnt work now?
Can anyone help me?

I have exactly the same problem - exactly as you state!
The only this I noticed was that when I tried to install updates from the Creative support pages was that a message came up saying that couldn't uninstall older version and asked if I wanted to continue anyway. This is driving me insane too!
Can anyone help out here - I am running Windows XP Home Media Center (which is a pile of pants too!)

My creative Cam For note book does not work

i and my friend bought a new computer same model same make Hp Pavalion Dv9000. I am trying to use the creative cam on my comp but it not working stating that the cam is being used by some other prog where as no prog is in use at same time. My cam is PD70. Nice Cam but does not work on my computer. Help Me

Welcome to the Apple community.
You might try pressing cancel and trying again. However there have been a number of similar reports this evening and it may well be that there is a server issue at the present time.

Creative cam 600

Hi...
any help at all with this problem would be great. I have a c, and I moved my computer to the other side of the room and then hooked everything back up, now my cam is not working, I get the message cam not detected, please plug in . well it is plugged in, I have uninstalled and reinstalled it 6 times and nothing happens. I can uninstall everything but the creative cam drivers it won't let me. Please, please anyone HELP!!!!!!!! =) Thank you Buttons.

Thanks so much for all your help!! This worked, and the camera is working again!!!! I was already pricing new cameras. I am glad that I didn't buy another one. This camera is so very nice.

Im new at this...if someone could please help me out.. I have an older model creative cam,model number PDO60.Brand new but no software to get it up and running..could someone please tell me where to get a download...suggestions please.. Its Driving me crazy... G.....

My Creative Cam wont work properly in MSN Messenger! I cant get the effects to work PLEASE HELP!

When I open the webcam centre everything works fine I can get all the effects...BUT when I open messenger (MSN) I get a good picture but when I open the effects window I cant get the effects to work in there.... I went to the creative site which tells me I can use this cam ok in MSN Messenger....Please help before I pull my hair outThankyouBillie-Jean x

I had the exact same issue but finally after much reading found that the Advanced Video FX utility must be activated first, then open the Web Cam Center.
On the upper left side just above your image is a Device Selection box. You may not redily recognize it as such.. Click on the down arrow just to the left of the Format tab and select the "Creative WebCam(With Video Effects)". Now try the effects. This did the trick for me. Hope it works for you!

Help with creative cam model PD 1060

Hi I am new and I lost my installation cd for the camera i have it is a 350 model Pd 1060 is there anyone out there who can help me?

Creative Cam software does not have motion detection???

I installed my creative software on my computer with the webcam however it does not have the motion detection portion in it. I had another computer i used previously and that version had that option. Where do I get the version with that option in it?

Good luck with this one. I fought with support for a while a few months ago on this one. The only solution they had was to send out thru a free email provider like bluebottle.com, to your own bluebottle.com account. They acknolodged that this is a problem, but I dont see anybody fixing the username and password authentication any time soon. You'll have to use a 3rd party program that actually uses user name and password authentication in their software. How creative expects anybody to send an email these days without authenticating first, is beyond me. MAJOR software flaw if you ask me!

Creative Web Cam

I have a Powerbook G4 1.7ghz. I'm not quite ready to get the Macbook Pro just yet but I want to do some video chat. I have considered buying Apple's iSight, but for the amount of chatting I will be doing I am not ready for that price yet.

Creative NX Ultra, cant fint the cam

Hi all.
I got this NX Ultra webcamera, and i'll downloaded the update from this site, and also the center.
But when im trying to connect the center it say:No supported creative camera detected. Please plug in to continue.
But I allready connected the camera.
Then why can't i start it's.
And sorry for my bad english.

It is possible another capture device may be your preferred device. if this happen the software will sometimes see this first and not the Creative camera.
Deinstall the camera drivers from the add /remove programs and then copy the contents of the C:\Windows\TWAIN_32 and \TWAIN folders to another location (to keep as a backup) and uninstall and reinstall the Creative WebCam driver and software especially if another imaging device (e.g. a scanner) is installed

Creative Zen:M is not being recognized please he

Hi,I have had a creative vision zen:M for a few months now and had no real issues with it. Except the other day i was playing a music?video around 2mins and i tried to turn the volume up and it didnt respond i then tried the rest of the buttons and nothing worked and once the clip ended the screen just froze. I reset the player and all my videos were deleted so i went to the recovery mode and and pressed clean up afterwords restarted the player. The rebuilding icon came up and then creative came up though the music was still there but my videos weren't. I then tried to connect it to my computer the computer recognized it and the usual prompts came up thpugh when i went to Creative Zen:M explorer says it's not connected and its all grey so i cant do anything. I have looked in support area and have sent an email to the Creative people but they have not replied. Could anyone please tell me how i could get it to appear in the Media explorer? (by the way it's not the computer as i have tried it on another computer and it does the same thing. Any help would be greatly appreciated thnx!

Help me purchase a New Web Cam

I have been using a creative webcam in the past, and the model has become obselete. Now I would like to purchase a new one for my desktop PC. My requirements are 1)Should have an average image quality. 2) Should posses a snapshot button on top. 3)The supporting software should save the images to a particular folder, when the snapshot button on the top of camera is pressed. (important: without showing the snapshot ie; silently take a snapshot). I request all creative cam users to provide the model no. of the creative webcams within these requirements. I bought a logitech webcam but the defect is that, although it saves automatically the image when snapshot button is pressed, it also shows the snap which is taken which I has to close manually. Thanks in advance.

I have to say that the easiest way to edit a site that was built in Dreamweaver, is to use Dreamweaver itself.
It is no different from an iWeb built site that you would need to edit it using iWeb.
Unfortunately, there really is no way at all to import your site back into iWeb as iWeb has no import facility. The only way you can do this is by building the whole site again in iWeb, which I am sure you don't want to do.
You can also check out Sandvox and Sandvox Pro from http://www.karelia.com. They are slightly more specialised than RapidWeaver and are more likely to have import facilities.
If you don't like any of these alternatives, then I am afraid your choices are limited - either use an html editor to edit your site or purchase a copy of Dreamweaver and use this.
Actually, html code is not really that hard to learn - I didn't know a lot about code when I first started using iWeb and my site now has an iWeb template with a lot of code placed in html snippets to achieve the look that I want. I am now in the process of hand coding my site from scratch. Cuts down on the amount of code that you need as there is just one CSS file for the whole site with links to it in all the pages.

Creative NX Ultra and Creative WebCam Center.

Hello. Just installed my Creative NX Ultra webcam, and it works good with msn etc, but when I run Creative WebCam Center I get this; "No supported Creative camera detected. Please plug in to continue." I have no idea what to do, I've tried reinstalling the webcam drivers and the webcam center, but it doesn't work. Any suggestions?

I don't have the same issues as you do, but wanted to see if we have the same camera or not, maybe help each other out even.. I'm thinking that I bought my camera a couple of years ago, but I only had it hooked up and tried it once. At that time, it seemed like it worked fine, but now the video doesn't look that great and I'm even wondering if it is the right software! I have a seperate headset. But being as I've never turned it on again after that, I've had to reinstall and not 100% sure if there is an upgrade or not for the software. So what version software do you have?
I have version 2.03.01 and it says PC-CAM Center for the NX ultra. I says Instant Live Video chats, but being as I'm not to sure yet how to use it, I am wonderng why it tells me to "save".. I would have thought that if your using it online, why would you save it?
At anyrate.. if you or anyone else should see this, is there a higher version for the software?
AND, I want some advice of what to buy for working online, I need a camera for this. Am I supposed to get a new headset to match?..
I hope someone gets back to me soon, cause I've been advised to buy another brand and I really don't want to, being as Everything else on my computer is set up for sound using Creative labs.

Creative webcam live!

i just bought first time i used it it works perfectly and the second time it doesn't work anymore it say's No supported creative camera detected. please plug in but it was plug in to continue, i open it again this time in my ym it say's webcam is not connected but ut was connected. if someone could help me i really appreaciate it, it's my second creative webcam. Help please!!!

Are you getting this error from the Webcam Control software or is this appearing in the task bar from the Wecam Detector program?
Do you have any additional hardware installed typically a scanner or maybe a tv capture card?
Try going into Scanners and Cameras, what do you see there?

PC Cam 600 Digital Camera

:manhappy:i installed my Creative PC Cam 600 after a computer crash and all seems to work ok but the 'Digital Camera' won't work..i get an error hoogiebobber CTTPCCam.exe and Windows shuts me down..when i try video the camera comes on and i can see myself on the screen..i did as suggested in 'Read Me' uninstalling the '600' drivers starting the computer again and installing the drivers but no go..before this happened i was able to download the images from the camera into the computer..the camera 'initialized' and started taking in the images..now the camera 'initializes' only for the 'Video' but not 'Digital Camera'..maybe it's time to get the newest Creative Camera, eh..thanks..i'll check back here tomorrow..my email is [email protected] john
