Credit check at PGI

Dear Friends,
1. The requirement is to do the credit check at Goods issue level. The sales order qty might be different from the GI qty. Say the sales order is created for 100 kg with the total value Rs 5000-00, but the GI is done for 50 kg which amount to Rs2500-00. Now the credit check should consider the value against the GI qty only. Do we need to have the pricing configured at Delivery level to get this done?
2. The second requirement is to do the credit check at Goods issue level, also against the Advance payment/Letter of Credit (LC) / Bank Guarantee (BG) from the customer.
Does the standard Credit management settings allow check against Advance payment/LC / BG?
Do we need to use a User exit for the above 1 and 2?
3. Whats the user exit for PGI?
Thanks
Isaac

HI
There is no need of any pricing to be done at delivery level.
For credit check at PGI level you can use the credit group 03 credit group for goods issue.
and assign it to delivery types here you can enter it in GI credit group

    Hi Vishal,
SAP can do credit check at three levels Sales order, deliveries and PGI.
When checking at Deliveries:-The credit block will not allow you to create Delivery document if you set credit check for Deliveries.
the stock will not get reserved for the delivery.
We follow this when we dont want to create delivery doc when customers credit limit exceeds.
At PGI Level --> The credit block will not allow you to do the PGI if you set credit check for PGI.
you can create delivery document and also pick the stock.
the stock will  get reserved for the delivery
So according to ur scenario u can go for Credit check at PGI.

  • Can we detrmine Credit Check at delivery or billing level

    Hi
Can we determine Credit Check at delivery or billing level other than at Sales Order level?
If yes, what settings need to be done in IMG?

    Hi Ronaldo,
the idea behind making a credit check is to block the customer from receiving goods in case the credit limit has already exceeded right?
Now consider that you have a customer for whom you are preapring a sales order, carrying out delivery and PGI ,
then when you went on to bill him you find that the customer has exceeded its credit limit. Now, since you have alreday prepared sales oredr and delivery document and even posted goods what action would you take? you have already carried out pgi.
it is not possible in standard SAP.Since once the PGI is done and later the credit limit is checked at the time of billing, then the delivery will have to be revrsed, sales order has to be cancelled and so on making it a little complex.
    Thanks,
    Raja

  • Sales Order Confirmed qty set to zero even without credit check at SO level

    Hi
Credit management is implemented and dynamic credit limit check has been assigned only for delivery doc types for blockig PGI.
There is no credit limit check assigned to sales order types as per the customers requirement.
However, we came across a scenario where, the confirmed quanties in a sales order were set to zero even though stock was available for the materials and no credit block at SO level.
The issue was however resolved by going into change mode of sales order>edit> check availability. The schedule lines for all the materials were confirmed.
Unable to figure out why the schedule lines were not confirmed even though stock available.
Checked the routiine 101 in OVB8 but it only applies if credit limit check active at sales order level.
Also checked 'conf.block' for 01-credit limit check in OVZ7 but even this applies if credit limit active at sales order level.
Note: This happened only once. The same scenario was tested in Quality system and there the schedule lines were confirmed even when the customer exceeded the credit limit.
Please let me know if I hav overlooked anything that needs to be checked.
What could be the reson for the items not being confirmed when the order was created?

    Hi Vinayak
    Thanks for your response.
As you said it migt be bcos of the conf block at OVZ7, but the F1 help for that says that it applies when there is a credit limit check related delivery block in the sales order.
However, in my case, there is no credit check assigned at sales order level.
And also when I tried to recreate the scenario by creating an order for a customer who had exceeded the credit limit, it didnt delete the confirmed qty from the schd lines even after saving.
ANy possible reasons other than credit check conf block that could have led to schd lines not being confirmed inspite of sufficient stock??

  • Released from credit check - CMFRE

    Hi All,
Is there a difference between VBAK-CMFRE and LIKP CMFRE,
Date credit Release Sales order and Delivery ? Is a delivery also checked for credit? How can I view this date?
    Thanks,
    Dwain

    Hi,
You can do the credit check at three levels: -
    1. Sales Order
    2. Delivery Creation
    3. PGI
So based on your configuration system will block the document for further processing. Once it's blocked for credit then you have to release the document to move ahead further. In that case there might be chances that you will get different credit release date on Sales Order and Delivery.
    Thanks

  • Configuring When Credit Checks are Run

I am currently trying to find a way to change the points at which credit checks are run. I have stumbled across several documents here on the network about Critical fields etc, but have yet to find anything that explicitly shows how I may change when a credit check is run.
Currently the system is running credit checks automatically at more points than we need, and we are in need of a way to configure when a check is run in the order process or for what specific order types.
If anyone out there can help, it would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hi Collins,
Pro forma invoice are either order based or delivery based. Do you mean to say you are doing credit check in transaction VF01 or VF04?
For delivered goods Invoice are normally based on delivery. Now whats situation in your case.
Standard credit check works when you create order VA01, Delivery VL01N and at the time of PGI.
What do you mean by both invoice steps? If Customer exceed credit limit Goods should not deliver to him. If once you delivered goods, then there is no use of Credit check.
Do you mean to say you are delivering goods then checking Invoice?

  • Credit Check with Third Party Process

    Hi Gurz,
I know about third party process but my problem is with credit check of the customers.
If customer has not got enough credit limit to process the order in normal senario credit controller has to manually release the order as system blocks it. In third party process system will give you warning message when saving sales order about customer credit limit but allows you to save sales order. Once saving sales order it authomatically creates Purchase Requisition. From PR purchasing creates P.O. with out knowing about customer credit limit issue. and so on. In other words goods supplied to customer even though credit limit has exceeded. This user don't know untill raising the invoice to the customer which is too late.
Can we stop creating Purchase requisition or block purchase requistion for credit check ? or there are better way of handling the process for credit check?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
Try to implement OSS note -738171 - Delivery block does not influence purchase requisition.
    Following is the details of the note;
    Summary
    Symptom
The delivery block in a sales order does not prevent the generattion of the purchase requisition in a third-party or individual purchase order item. Regardless of the Customizing settings in the delivery block, the system confirms the TAB or TAS item and generates the purchase requisition.
    More Terms
Order, purchase requisition, PReq, TAB, individual purchase order, individual purchase order item, TAS, third-party, third-party item, SD order, delivery block, VBAK-LIFSK, VBEP-LIFSP
    Cause and Prerequisites
    Solution
Create a user-specific user requirement (for example, 902: BEDINGUNG_PRUEFEN_902 in Include LV07A902) as a copy of standard user requirement 102 and assign it to requirement 'Preq' by using Transaction OVB5.
In the source code of the user-requirement, program a check for the delivery block which, if necessary, triggers an ERROR_EXCEPTION which prevents the generation of the purchase requisition.
You can use the existing check for the credit block as a template.

  • Credit check for existing Verizon customer

Hello!  I am looking for some assistance.  I recently received an email from BB about a 2500 point Reward Zone bonus for buying a new phone w/ a two year plan.  I am currently on my mother-in-law's family plan but due for an upgrade.  After going through all the checkout steps, I was met with a request for a credit check for my mother-in-law.  This makes little sense to me, as we have been Verizon customers for years and have a total of four accounts with them under this plan.  If we are longstanding customers with Verizon, why does Best Buy claim Verizon needs to do a credit check?  I know one wouldn't be necessary if we were to go to an authorized Verizon dealer for this purchase.  So how can BB claim the check isn't for themselves when Verizon already has no issue with the account's credit?
I would love the bonus points but I'm not about to dent my mom-in-law's credit with a credit check.  It sours me on ever going through Best Buy for any mobile service in the future.  If Verizon is fine with the account and the current credit status, why does BB force one on us while claiming it's for a company that alreayd has no issue with the account holder's credit score?

All credit checks are done through the carrier. Verizon does periodically request updated an credit report, even when performing an upgrade. This same process would take place no matter where you get your phone -- Best Buy, Verizon corporate stores, or other third-party dealers.

  • Open sales order value for credit check need to be changed (S066)

    Hi all,
I need to change open sales order value which is already there in S066 table.
Previously we had used open order value for credit check. Open order values are already updated in the S066 table.
Now we dont want to consider open order value for credit check (which is already included in the credit exposure field in FD32).
When we create sales order system is taking old open order value for credit. Now i have changed not to update open order value for credit check. Now its not updating open order value. But my issue is how to change existing or (previous) open order value for credit?
Can i change S066 table data directly to '0'. Is it advisable to chage open order value directly from this table?
    Please advise me.
    Regards,
    Babu
Edited by: babs on May 19, 2010 4:26 PM

    Hi Babs,
If you doesn't want to reflect the open order value in the structure for this order value ,If the order is not processed kindly delete the line items and the order. Then save the document. Then try to see the structure S066.. This will be modified.
If you want to modify the value then follow the below process.
Otherwise delete the line item in the order and change the pricing date and the document date. Re enter the line item again so that it will take it up the new changes.
    I hope it will help.

  • Credit Management: Difference Between Static and Dynamic Credit Check

    Hi,
Could anyone tell the difference Between Static and Dynamic Credit Check?
According to website: http://www.sap-basis-abap.com/sd/difference-between-static-and-dynamic-credit-check.htm ... this is the answer:
    ====================
    Simple Credit Check : Tr.Code - FD32
It Considers the Doc.Value + Open Items.
Doc.Value : Sales Order Has been saved but not delivered
Open Item : Sales Order has been saved , Delivered, Billed & Transfered to FI, but not received the payment from the customer.
Static Credit Check it checks all these doc value & check with the credit limit
    1) Open Doc.Value / Sales Order Value : Which is save but not delievered
    2) Open Delivery Doc.Value : Which is delivered but not billed
    3) Open Billing Doc.Value : Which is billed but not posted to FI
    4) Open Item : Which is transfered to FI but not received from the customer.
Dynamic Credit Check         1) Open Doc
                                                2) Open Delivery
                                                3) Open Billing
                                                4) Open Items
                                                5) Horizon Period = Eg.3Months
Here the System will not consider the above 1, 2, 3 & 4 values for the lost 3 months.
    ====================
Question 1: Could you further explain the above information, if there is any?
Question 2:: What is the Tcode to customize settings of:
    a) Simple Credit Check (isn't this same with b) below?)
    b) Static Credit Check
    c) Dynamic Credit Check

    Hi Tanish,
Diff between Static and Dynamic Filters.
    Example One at report Level.
Create a variable for a Infoobject say ,Material .
1)In the Query Designer and if u restrict it to some 10 materials at query level, the report will display for only those 10 materials only. This is Static Filter.UR AHrdcoding it to those materials. You cant change them at Query Run time.i.e not changeable by user.
2)If u give the variable as input ,and when u run the query ,u can can choose the material, may 10 may be 1 or may 20 .It is dynamic.Changeable by user at run time
Example Two at DTP and Start Routine Level, say Document Type.
1)If u give filters in Start routine it is Static as u cannot change it in Production, not changeable by user.
2)f u give filters in DTP it is Dyanamic as u can change it in Production.U can give any doc type,Changeable by user at run time.
    Hope it is Understood.
