Credit limit / Commitment limit issue?

As for customer and sales side, amount of sales order will be also account for credit limit/commitment limit.
So what's the difference from aspect of BP as
customer and sales side?
Why must commitment limit be larger than credit limit?

Hi Kenneth
The credit limit means how much in money value he can buy on credit. Commitment means that is how much he can order up to in money value.
So lets say joe soap has a
credit limit of $10000.00
Commitment limit of $15000.00
That means he can order $15000.00 worth of goods but only $10000.00 he can take on credit. The $5000.00 worth of goods he must either pay for or settle his account with $5000.00
Hope this helps

  • Authorization for Credit, Commitment Limit and Payment Terms

It's very required to have authorization for Credit Limit, Commitment Limit and Payment Terms change. Currently it's very hard to control limits as every user can change these values and omit approval procedure or authorization for Confirm Credit Line Deviation and Confirm Debt Line Deviation.

Thanks, You were right. It runs well for the sales order with out delivery. After I create delivery in reference to this sales order and change payment terms in sales order there is no new credit control check.
Is there a possibility to run credit control check after a delivery is created?

  • Commitment limit must be higher that credit limit

    Hi, everybody
I´ve been trying to load a Business Partenrs DTW template, but at the end some BP don´t upadate succesfully because the next message appears. "Commitment limit must be higher than credit limit".
This message appears too when you put a value in the credit limit field in the BO mster data and you put a value o zero in the Commitment limit.
Checking my BP configuration, I have in this moment customers who have credit limit values higher than the values to update, however in the template I didn´t find anty field related to OCRD.DebtLine that is the Commitement Limit field in order to update this field too.
Actually the data base haven´t any kind of transactions.
I will appreciate a lot you help.
    Regards, Manuel

    Hi Manuel,
Did you try to set the correct value in the DTW column "MaxCommitment"?
This is the DI API/DTW property that sets or returns the maximum allowed debt for payments from the business partner.
A good help for the DTW in general is the SDK Help Center delivered with the SDK Package in each patch or on the SDN Forum under the relevant Version. Example:
    [SDK Help Center 2007|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/9039f9c0-b9f1-2a10-27bd-b08d4bd9d48c]
You can search for the field you need to update (example: DebtLine) and find the relevant DI API Property (example: MaxCommitment) which tells you the correct column header.

  • Deviation from Commitment Limit doesn't work for one Business Partner

    Hi Experts,
I'm hoping you can help me with an issue I have at the moment.
I have an authorisation set to trigger for Delivery Notes which deviate by £1 over the Commitment Limit.
This authorisation works fine for all Business Partners apart from one.
All Business Partners have an account balance, and all Business Partners have their commitment limit set as £1.  The only difference with the Business Partner with the Authorisation that won't trigger is that they pay by Credit Card...
Can anyone help me with this please?
    Many thanks,
    Caroline

    Hi Gordon,
Thanks so much for the reply.
Yes... but I can't find anything.  I managed to replicate the scenario again by making Incoming Payments with Cheque Payment Means which a future date, and the making a deposit for these Cheques with a future date.  I was wondering if this could maybe have something to do with it... perhaps if the credit cards are future dated maybe.  I found Note 1227330 - do you know if this might have something to do with this scenario too?
    Many thanks,
    Caroline

  • Credit and Comittment Limit

    Hi,
What is the difference between credit limit and comittment limit?

    Hello vasanthi,
    CREDIT LIMIT
This is the amount of credit allowed/extended to the Business Partner.
The remaining credit is calculated as:
Remaining Credit = Credit Limit - Account Balance
    COMMITMENT LIMIT:
This is the 'Credit Limit' plus undeposited cheques and predated cheques
which have already been deposited, but their payment date has not yet
    been reached.
The remaining commitment is calculated as:
Remaining Credit = Credit Limit - [Account Balance + Undeposited
    Collections + Deposited (Predated) Cheques]
The 'Account Balance' is typically based on the invoiced transactions
from the 'Account Balance' field of the Business Partner Master Data. To
include the delivered transactions in the 'Account Balance' computation,
tick the 'Consider Deliveries Balance' option in the General Settings ->
BP tab of the Administration module.
Cheques and cash from 'Incoming Payment' are 'deposited' in the system
using the 'Deposit' function of the Banking module.

  • Commitment limit calculation

    Dear All,
The commitment limit is located in the business partner payment terms tab. How the system calculate this limit ? I've got the system message customer has exceeded commitment limit when trying to copy sales order to delivery. I ticked sales order, delivery and A/R invoice tick box on general settings BP tab. Pls give advice. Tks
    Rgd
    Steve

    Hello,
Commitment limit is a limit of sum of documents total +
account balance + undeposited check amount - open delivery (of last period).
If commitment limit is belows the total of above formula, system message will give a warning.
As about documents total, it consists of current period open sales order. The general formula is <the customer's account balance> + <the total amount of un-deposited checks> + <the amount of the current document>. You coudl read SBO help file for more detail

  • Credit check at goods issue and release authorziation based on value

    Hi,
I am doing credit management config. My reqmt. is to have credit check at goods issue only. Done this through credit group in automatic credit management config. I have used static check with both open orders and open deliveries checked.
open sales order (delivery not created) value is not updating in the credit exposure field in FD32 can u tell me what can be the problem (I have maintained the subtotal value A in pricing procedure)
My 2nd requirement is based on the range of credit value, documents should be released. i.e., Credit limit is 1Lakh. Now when it exceeds by 50000, credit manager is authorized to release in VKM5. If it exceeds & between 50000 - 1Lakh, Finance Head should be authorized to release in VKM5 and finally it exceeds above 1Lakh , VP Finance should be authorized to release. How do we handle this, pls. give me solution for the above scenario

  • Free limit (overall limit vs free limit)

    Hello,
I would have a question regarding item category D (service) in Purchase Order.
For such items, a tab "Limits" is displayed, In this tab, there is a field "Overall limit" but also a nested tab called "Other limit" with a field "Limit" (corresponds to free limit in the help)
Help gives me this message :
Overall limit --> Maximum value that the total of all unplanned services (or the value of the material) covered by this document item may not exceed.
Free limit --> Maximum value which an unplanned service may not exceed.
I don't understand the difference between those 2 fields. When I use ML81N, I can not create an item whose the value exceed one of this field.
    Example given :
    Overall limit = 5000u20AC
    Free limit = 1000u20AC
In ML81N, if I create a SES with gross price = 1001u20AC, I get message No limit for unplanned services amounting to 2.501,00 exists
    Other example :
    Overall limit = 5000u20AC
    Free limit = 10000u20AC
In ML81N, if I create a SES with gross price = 5001u20AC, I get message No overall limit of          5.001,00 for unplanned services exists
So I am blocked as soon as 1 of the limit in reached.
Does anyone could explain the difference between those 2 fields?
    Thanks for your help,
    Patrick

Please refer to the Online documentation: Material Management -> External Services Management -> Procurement of Services: Processes -> Accelerated and Simplified Processes -> Use of Value Limits (for Unplanned Services) Inside this documentation, it is stated that there is a variety of limits (combinations) to be used:- - Overall limit only - Overall limit and limit on services covered by contract item(s) - Overall limit, limit on services covered by contract item(s), - and other limit - Overall limit and other limit - Overall limit on services from model specifications or standard service catalog - Expected value The expected value is used in the update of the PO item value and this is the value used in the release strategy. Here is the f1 help: Expected value - ESUH-COMMITMENT Value that the unplanned services (or the materials) covered by this item are not expected to exceed. Use If you are working with the release (approval) procedure for purchasing documents, this value serves as the basis for a release strategy applied to this document. If you tick 'No limit',you don't need to enter 'Overall limit',but must enter 'Expected value'.Because 'Expected value' will affect the release strategy. Please read the note 440601 connected to this. Concerning the variability of actual cost of a purchase order, expected value means that the unplanned services (or materials) covered by this item are not EXPECTED to exceed. It is not mandatory that it has the same value like total limit value. Expected value can exceed, it is used for comparison with total limit value in cost control. Expected value can also be combined with unlimited total limit in a purchasing document

    Hello Ading,
It sounds like you were charged for an in App purchase but did not receive the item. I would report this issue to iTunes Store support with the following article:
How to report an issue with your iTunes Store, App Store, Mac App Store, or iBooks Store purchase
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1933
To report an issue with your iTunes Store, App Store, Mac App Store, or iBooks Store purchase, follow these steps:
Find the email receipt for your purchase.
Click Report a Problem under the app that is having the issue.
When prompted, enter the Apple ID and password you used to purchase the item, then click Report a Problem.
Click Report a Problem next to the item you are having an issue with.
From the Choose Problem dropdown menu, choose the appropriate issue.
Follow the onscreen instructions and—if prompted—type a description of the problem into the text field.
Click Submit to have your issue reviewed.

  • Limit/Service PO issues

    Hi All,
I have multiple issues related to Limit or service purchase orders in SRM 4.0. We are in extended classic scenario and service pack 12.
    1. When try to Limit SC in full functionality BBPSC01, after adding limit line to SC not able to find "Follow up actions' (options to select confirmation and invoice or invoice only) and "Account assignment" (option Unknown and known) section below the basic data. Does that mean some screen modifications made to disable the above fileds? If so in which ITS template or program or BADI we could find the code changes?
    2. When create a PO directly in "Process purchase order" with item category LIMIT (PO with one line item), it created a service PO in ERP (item category D) for LIMIT value (say 100 Euro) and no service lines in service tab. Now user amended the PO in change order and added a service as second line item (200 Euro). The change order went to transfer failure and message shows "Please specify a valid account assignment" and "Instance 4400494431 of object type PurchaseOrder could not be changed". However net price of the PO in ERP increased to 300 Euro at item level but no service line added in service tab.
Could some one help in resolving the above two issues.
    Regards
    Prasad

For Service PO, the Item Category has to be "D" - Service.
    Please check & confirm.
The various steps are given below:
    1. PO creation using T code ME21 / ME21n
    2. Service Entry Sheet creation using T code ML81n
    3. Release of SES using T code ML85.
    4. Invoice verification using T code MIRO (For MIRO, the SES has to be first release ie GR generated).

  • Tolerence limit for Goods issue while CO11N Confirmation

    Hi,
We are creating the production order which continues for 1 to 5 days, and partial confirmation is done for the order e,g production order 100, partial confirmation 5,10,20 etc.
Now while order confirmation, we do the goods movement by which raw material issue against order, but some material issue in different units, like cement issue in BAG, KG etc, due to this at final partial confirmation some times system is issuing the message goods movement failed and in transaction 'COGI' it is showing the error as 'RE Reserved quant. exceeded by 0.010 TO : 40007510 XXXX XXXX XXXX004002'  is there any option for this to allow some excess quanity by providng the tolerence limit, or is there any badi or user exit for this to rounding  the values at the time of final issue.
    Regards,
    Zafar

    Hi Zafar,
You can define underdelivery/overdelivery tolerance in Work scheduling view for the material master.
Added to that, you can define if the tolerance is checked in order confirmation parameter (OPK4 ).

  • ACE, max conns limit and oversubscription issue

    Hi,
I have a question regarding the following output:
    show serverfarm SFARM detail
                                                    ----------connections-----------
real                  weight state        current    total      failures
       ---+---------------------+------+------------+----------+----------+---------
       rserver: REAL_1
           10.0.0.1:80           8      MAXCONNS     10435      65590       130
             description          : -
             max-conns            : 10000
             min-conns            : 9950
There is a sticky source ip configured for primary serverfarm + backup serverfarm (with no sticky). Do you know why we can see more current connections than max-conns limit?
The sticky for primary serverfarm could cause that issue?
    Regards,
    Krzysztof

    Hi Krzysztof,
Normally the current connection counter is number of ESTABLISHED + EMBRYONIC connections. So as soon as ACE forwards the SYN, the current counter is incremented and if the connection establishes, total connection counter is incremented or else failure.
Having said that, i still believe it should not show more than MAX-CONNS limit unless Max-conns is only for ESTABLISHED.
I would suggest opening a TAC case to further investigate this. There have many issues related to these counters which all were cosmetic and had no real impact on the functionality of device itself.

    Kanwal

  • How to limit material goods issue to 1 cost center

    Hello SAP Friends,
We have some materials that should always be issued to the same cost center.  Sometimes our warehouse people forget and enter the wrong cost center in transaction MB1A.  How can we restrict cost center in this case?
    Thanks!
    Den

    Hi Dennis,
You can code your own validation in the following userexit :
-EXIT_SAPLMBMB_001 ( but you will need to trigger an E message / A message ) as this is in the MB_POST_DOCUMENT ( pro is that its on the logistics side but contra is that its already in the update task not so nice )
-There seems to be a BADI ( see SE18 / MB_DOCUMENT_BADI ) available that does what you need : MB_DOCUMENT_BEFORE_UPDATE
-Another option more standard SAP is to add FI / CO validation for this ( via validations/substitutions ). I'm not an expert there however but we do similar things in there. Do you have an FI/CO expert available ?
In all cases you should check that for those special materials the right cost center is used

  • Credit Memo Copy From Issue

I have an issue with 2 specific users on the system,  Both Users are 'Professional" users with Full Authorization to all Modules on the system.
When the two users go into Credit Memo entry,  enter a Customer then Click the  COPY FROM button,  only 2 Open Invoices are displayed in the Invoice Window for the particular customer.  There are MANY Open Invoices for the Customer.  This is NOT specific for this customer,  BUT All customers behave this way for the 2 users in question.
ANY OTHER USERS on the system can see All open Invoices when using the Copy from feature.
We already gave full Authorization to the users.  Turned off Authorizations, and updated and the gave the users Full authorizations and updated.  The users were NOT logged in at the time of the changes to the user's Authorizations.
There are NO Add ons running for the users in question.
We also copied  Authorizations from a 'Working" user to the users in question but there are no effect.\
Is there something OTHER Than authorizations that could cause this problem?
Any other ideas or suggestions  would be appreciated!!
    Thanks in advance!!
    Dana

Have you implemented Data Ownership Authorization?  NO
    What is your B1 version and PL? SAP B1 2007 SP00 PL47
Again,  it is only effecting 2 users with Full Authorizations and Professional License.
The Invoices displayed are owned by a different user and other invoices owned the
the same other user are not displayed.
