Credit Management - Sales & Distirbution

Dear Firends,
I am using simple credit management in sales order level.
I get a warning message of credit limit being exceeded. But the value considered for credit check is the net value of the document & not the total invoice value.
Please can you tell me what more needs to be configured so that its achieved.

Dhananjay

Hi,
My issue has been solved.
I have one more requirement.
Normally when a sales order is blocked for credit check the entire order is blocked & cannot be processed for delivery.
Suppose the customer has a credit limit of Rs. 2000.
The sales order is of values Rs. 5000.
In this case the entire sales order will be blocked.
Suppose the sales order has 5 lines each of value Rs. 2000
In this case can it be done that 2 lines can be released for credit block & remaining 3 lines will still be blocked.
Please suggest what can be done.

Dhananjay

  • Down payments u2013 Credit Management, Sales Value FD32.

    Hi,
We have a problem with the credit management in Down payments. The down payments requests are not decreasing the Sales Value of the client. I mean when I bill a down payment, the sales value of the client in transaction FD32 keep with the same value. I have to bill the next milestone where the down payment is cleared to decrease the sales value of the client.
    Billing Plan
    1º Down payment      200
    2º Final Billing           1000
Bill the down payment. Sales Value FD32 = 1000. It should be 800?
Bill the Final Invoice. Sales Value FD32 = 0.
Are there any way in the customizing to modify this behavior?
Thank you in advance and best regards.

    Hello Alberto,
As you mentioned down payment of 200 and final bill of 1000, generally down payment is received at the start of activity. If you have credit limit say 500 and you receive down payment of 200 then system store down payment in separate GL account and when you carry out business, system first consider consuming down payment and then credit limit. So down payment never consider as sales till it get cleared off as it is before start of business as extra security to manage risk
Same thing happen when you do business with letter of credit
Hope this will resolve your confusion

  • Credit Management-Sales value updated in FD32 even though credit set up is not active

    Dear Team,
We are facing an issue where, for a sample order - sales value got updated as open sales order value against a customer in FD33.
Credit set up is not active for the sales order type (OVAK) or the delivery type (OVAD). Since this has occurred in 2003, we have no clue what exactly has happened. We cannot locate any change logs in the configuration level.
    1) What is the possibility for credit management to be active for a document type, which was not meant for credit set up?
    2) How to remove the open order/ delivery value for the customer?
    Thanks and regards.
    Sivarajesh

Credit set up is not active for the sales order type (OVAK) or the delivery type (OVAD).
the above two settings  are credit checks at what level( example order level or delivery etc) you what to block the customer if the customer payer exceeds the credit limit.
Where as if the credit active field is active in VOV7 in corresponding item category, system update the respective document values in to credit management (FD32/33) in your example open order value.
Even though OVAK, OVAD settings are not done still system update the document values in to FD33 subject to credit active field is active in t code VOV7 .
Please check in your item category whether credit active field active.
    thanks,

  • Credit Managment @ Sales Order

    Dear Experts,
I have created sales order with which customer is holding credit management. Let say the customer credit limit 1000 RS. I have checked in FD32. After that i have created sales order with 300 rs and created delivery also. After that again i have checked the customer management status in FD32. Here order value supposed to come 300 rs right. but its not coming. After that created invoice then again checked customer management status in FD32 there receivables got 300 rs. Only things is when i created sales order and delivery (witout creation of invoice) in credit management status order value also has to come but its not coming. Its directly goes to receivables option in FD32. Could you please suggest me where i did mistake. Do we need to maintain that credit control area in Sales Order. If we need pls let me know. Bcoz i couldn't findout credit control area option in the sales order.
    Thanks in advance,

    HI VS,
Please find below the explanation regarding updation of credit values to sales orders, deliveries & billing documents:
    Update for sales orders:
The open sales order values are updated in the information structure
S066. When the credit value is calculated, the open schedule line
quantity (VBEPD-OLFMNG) is multiplied with the item credit price
    (VBAP-CMPRE).
The open schedule line quantity is the confirmed quantity of the
schedule line that is still open for delivery.
The credit price is defined in accordance with the settings in the
    pricing for the item.
The material availability date of the schedule line (VBEP-MBDAT) defines
the period in which the open sales order value is updated. You use
transaction OMO1 to define the period unit for the information
    structures.
If an item has no confirmed quantity (VBEP-BMENG), the system does not
update an open sales order value.
This also occurs for documents that are blocked by the credit check. As
a result of the credit block, the confirmed quantities are deleted so
that an open sales order value can no longer be updated.
When sales orders with a credit block are released (for example, using
transaction VKM1), a new availability check is performed. If the
availability check can confirm the quantities, an open sales order value
    is updated accordingly.
Conclusion: Credit blocked documents do not increase the open credit
    values.
There are exceptions to these rules:
    1.  Sales order items which are not relevant for delivery and do not
have schedule lines relevant for delivery are not updated to S066
('Open sales order credit value') rather to S067 ('Open delivery
credit value'). You can find further information about this in Note
361637. Also refer to Notes 120645 and 128350 concerning this topic.
    2.  You can use requirements to delete confirmed quantities in credit
blocked sales orders. These requirements are defined in transaction
VOFM under the menu path 'Requirements -> Subsequent functions ->
...'. The system asks you for a credit status in the respective user
requirement. If this is set to 'Blocked', the system cancels the
confirmed quantity. You may want the system to behave differently.
If this is the case, you can store a separate requirement which does
not cancel the confirmed quantity. As a result, the sales order item
has a confirmed quantity again and consequently, it updates the open
sales order value although the document is credit blocked.
For NON-MRP materials (materials without requirements planning), the
system does not cancel the confirmed quantity despite a
corresponding condition, as described in Note 393304. For further
information about this, refer to Notes 674112 and 914627.
    3.  A delivery block in the sales order affects the update of open
credit values. For more information, see Note 741980.
    Update for deliveries:
The open delivery values are updated in S067. The update does not occur
in time units. There is only one entry in S067 for each credit control
    area and credit customer.
If you create a delivery with reference to a sales order, the system
clears the open sales order value in accordance with the delivery
quantity (from S066) and posts the open delivery value for the delivery
    (to S067).
Deliveries with credit lock also write open values of goods to be
delivered. Here, it is not possible that a credit-blocked document does
not create an open credit value (as in the order). This is also correct
from a business view, because the delivery already blocks the goods, and
the value of the goods is therefore already consumed for the credit
    customer.
    Update for billing documents:
The open billing document values are also updated in S067. Also in this
case, only one entry exists for each credit control area and credit
    customer.
If you create the billing document with reference to a preceding
document, the system clears the open credit value in accordance with the
invoiced quantity for the preceding document and posts the open billing
document value for the billing document (to S067).
If you transfer the billing document to accounting, the system clears
the open billing document value (from S067). Now the value has been
transferred to the open items and occurs as a receivable from the
    viewpoint of credit management.
If the incoming payment occurs, the receivable is met and the
consumption of the credit limit is reduced.
    Kind regards,
    ALV Ramana

  • Credit management-sales value

    Hi
Sales value showing incorrect value in credit management(FD32-Transaction code)
Sales value is determined based on following formula
Sales value = Open delivery/invoice - Open order
    Open Delivery/Invoice: 162,812.52 (go to environment>sales and distribution doc > Open delivery/Invoice
I would like to know that what are the Open delivery number. Because by checking open delivery status the value is not matching with above Open delivery value = 162,812.52
Kindly let us know how to get delivery no/Invoice no to identify and match sales value.
    Regards
    Pinal

    Hi Pinal,
Please check the T code VF04 which shows all the Open Deliveries which have PGIed between a particular date range.
Sum of all these open deliveries will give the Open Deliveries value.

  • FD32 Credit management 'sales value'

I am on SAP ERP, I'm trying to figure out how to pull the data that makes up the credit exposure - 'SALES VALUE.'  I believe the sale value includes all undelivered or only partially delivered orders.  I can not find a way to confirm what makes up the total sales value.  How would i oull that detail?
Thanks in advance for your assistance!

check oss note 378833.. it has loads of information.
It is difficult to analyze incorrect open credit values:
The open credit values are updated in Sales Information System (SIS) structures. The structures cumulate values due to common characteristics. Due to the cumulation, you cannot find out subsequently which documents caused the values.
The system generates and reduces open credit values in the SD document chain. The system posts the credit value to the SIS structure and clears it later. This may cause differences between the posted value and the cleared value.
See Note 377165 for a detailed description about updating open credit values.
To correct the incorrect open credit values, proceed as follows:
    1. Correct known errors that occur in the update of the open credit values. To do this, check the relevant composite SAP Notes and implement the relevant corrections in your system if you have not yet imported a Support Package that contains them.
1176872 Composite SAP Note: Incorrect credit update, 60*
735791 Composite SAP Note: Credit update incorrect, 500
735163 Composite SAP Note: Incorrect credit update, Release 4.70
410685 Composite SAP Note: Incorrect credit update, 4.6B/C
385481 Composite SAP Note: Incorrect credit update, 4.5B
385091 Composite SAP Note: Incorrect credit update, Release 4.0B
364928 Composite SAP Note: Incorrect credit update, Release 3.1I
    2. Use composite SAP Note 425523 to check that there is no explanation for the update that you observed.
    3. Check whether incorrect open credit values exist in your system. To do this, compare the sales values in transaction FD32/FD33 (status view) with the results of the report RVKRED88 which you run for the same credit customer and credit control area.
    4. Check whether the incorrect update is caused by user exits or by modifications in your system. The following notes describe possible sources of errors in customer-defined source code.
216448  BW/SIS: Incorrect update / SD user exit
178328  Problems due to incorrect user exits in SD
    5. Use the report RVKRED77 to correct the open credit values. For more information about the report, see Note 400311 (or the documentation of the report in your system) and Note 363343 or Note 755395.
To determine the reason for the incorrect open credit values and to reproduce the error, proceed as follows. Reproducing the error in the test system is a basic prerequisite for analyzing and correcting the problem.
    1. Monitor the open credit values to find out when incorrect values occur. To do this, compare the sales values in transaction FD32/FD33 with the results of the report RVKRED88 again.
    2. Identify the documents that were created or changed since the last run of the correction report RVKRED77 in accordance with Note 389377. One of these documents must have caused the incorrect credit values.
    3. Try to determine which document caused these values. To reproduce the problem on your test system, use the same data as in the document that is causing the incorrect values.
    4. Use transaction MC30 (as described in Note 381789) to check the update of the open credit values after a document is posted.
    5. Use Note 1042857 "Logging credit values" to log the update of the credit values so that you can evaluate this later.
If you can reproduce the error in your test system but there is no explanation for the update you observed, open a customer message with logon data, sample data, a detailed description of the procedure and the relevant contact person.

  • Credit Managment: Sales Order last in update the Credit Limit

    Hello,
I have a problem. When creating sales order with a few seconds of difference (from 1 to 5), the first sales order (that consumes all the credit limit) doesn´t reach to update the credit limit and for that reason the system permits to create the second one.
I have an other case of two sales orders created in exactly the same time, so the system permited to create both of them.
Do you think there is some solution for those cases?
    Thank you.
    Regards
    Jimena.-

    Hi Praveen,
We use this functionality in that case for example you have two customer A and B.
You want to maintain the credit limit 2000$ for both the customers.
So we use this functionality, we assign the customer as credit account in another credit account.
Now doesn't matter customer A buy the goods from you or customer B.
System consider only 2000$ not 4000$.
    Hope it helps,

  • Credit Management - Sales Order Blocked and then credit limit increased.

    Hello,
We have activated dynamic credit check and have following situation
    a) Sales Order created and it went into credit block as its value exceeded the limit
    b) Subsequently credit limit was increased.
What steps need to be taken to permit further activities on this sales order.  Is VKM3/VKM4 the only way ?
We tried executing the programs 'RVKRED06'.  But nothing happened.
    Please advise.

  • Open Sales Order Values in Credit Managment

    Hi,
    1. I want to include the open sales orders that were created before implementing the functionality of  Credit Managment.  How to check the credit limits for that sales orders.
Fro Example. If i want do the credit checks for 1000 open sales orders.
    2. How to reset the customer credit limit in FD32. I tried using the t.code f.28, but it will not be reset to zero(0).
    Thank you,
    Ravi

    Hello Ravi,
You can try this: in table VBAK, you might have the date when this a particular order was created( ERDAT or sometihng like that..). You'll have to join table VBAK/VBAP/VBRK(billing table)/VBFA and the logic should be that the program should pick up all the orders created before 1 yr and should also check that the items are not rejected, and the delivery not yet created.
    Check the following fields:
    VBAK-ERDAT, VBAP-ERDAT, VBAP-ABGRU, VBAP-AEDAT.

  • List of released sales orders which were blocked during credit management

If sales order is blocked during credit management, then it is released by Authorised person using VKM3 Tcode. Further if we want to see list of released documents, VKM2 shows the same. However VKM2 does not shows the released documents once that are billed (using VF01). Suppose post billing one wants to see how many orders were released during specific period, how it can be seen. Is there any transaction code to see such records.
    Vijay

You can use V.23 to view the report. The report will show you what sales order is ready for release for billing.

  • Unconfirmed line items of a sales order into account in credit management

    Hi Gurus
Updated the customer orders via prog. RVKRED09.
There is only one open order for this customer = 720662. My question is: in the credit master the sales value/credit exposure is USD 77.100,00. The order is for USD 105,900.00 .
Found out that line item 20 is not confirmed in the schedule lines. So the value in the sales value/credit exposure  equals item 10 and 30. So my 1question is: Where is the setting that  does not take unconfirmed line items of a sales order into account in credit management?
    Thanks in advance
    Regards
    Nalini Iyer

    Hi nalini
Even though , you create a sales order for that line item , but if that item is not confirmed then the value  wont be considered.  into credit exposure. .
But once it gets confirmed then the value will be taken into credit exposure..

  • Sales Order Line Items User Exit - Credit Management/ Exposure Calculation

    Hello Folks
I am looking for a solution to a peculiar problem we have in credit management.
In case of Drop Ship sales order life cycle, the system automatically creates two line items per sales order - one each for Freight and Handling Fees. these are NOT relevant to schedule line delivery, nor are they billed to the customer along with the material billing. The default update rule for credit control area concerned is 12. The system, on finding line items not relevant to schedule line delivery automatically switches from rule 12 to 18. This leads to Open Deliveries field (S067-OLIWW) being updated instead of Open Orders (S066-OEIKW) on saving the sales order.
Once the sales order is billed for the material, the system should logically display net value as zero for the open order (as the 2 lines of fees and freight are not yet billed, the order is still open). But the system considers this figure at SALES DOCUMENT HEADER level and considers the net value as the total value of the sales document (including the material that is already billed).
What I am looking for is if there is an exit available whereby the system considers only those line items whose billing status indicator is "not complete". As such, the net value should be updated to the S067-OLIKW field net of the billed items.
Please advise if there is any such user exit available. Also, is there a way to customize this? We are exploring this at our end, but would appreciate an expert advise. Right advise will be awarded with brownie points

Hi    SD Experts very Good Morning ..
Generally in OVB8-- 101 Requirement and 1 Routine   controls , once customer crossed his credit limit automatically Confirm qnty become zeo and and once we release that document in VKM3 Again confirmed qnty will be active mode for the customer .... this is sap Function  once we removed 101 routine it wont work like this
    But ....
In this link clearly mentioned in sales order -- Fixed qnty/date one field is there if we activate also system confirms stocks 0 in case credit limit customer crossed his limit
    http://monicaradytia.wordpress.com/2014/02/21/fixed-quantity-and-dates-in-sales-order-document/
So both functionality is same ... a bit confused sir
    please share your dynamic knowledge
    Thanks a  lot

The routine which you are suggesting is prerequisite to update MRP.
(please dont mix this with credit management--that is a different concept all together)
    Fixed date & Qty:
this indicator you can check at transaction level or at configuration level(by default for your sales area)
The purpose of this indicator is How to confirm or assure your customer(there by he can assure to his consumer)
Once you activated this indicator means at transaction level/(or Default for your sales area):
    At customer level:
You are assuring your customer that you will give the required Goods on this specific date.(here the customer priority is not the Question)
    At Business level:
After activation of this flag, your MRP will be updated and in case if you are rescheduling all your sales orders--this order will be skipped from others--so MRP department need to plan/Procure/Produce these goods on the specific date mentioned.
As far as i know these two are completely different in their respective Properties.
Needless to mention here--whether you are confirming or not ,still you can update MRP by using delivery Blocks concept.

  • Unallocated sales order is out of Credit management

    Dear gurus
On credit management, if inventory is NOT allocated to sales order
(Ex. No inventory at storage location),
warning or error message show up even if the credit amount is
    exceeded the limitation.
After created sales order without inventory allocation, then inventory
is  allocated later,  and error message show up
as delivery, because the credit amount is exceeded the limiation.
What is the concept of SAP behind this logic?
Why SAP doesn't count unallocated sales order to credit management?
    Y.Kaneko

if i understand you correctly, you need to know why an order does not have a allocated stock if it is credit blocked, & why does the order goes back to credit hold when it is released & availbility check is carried out.
from a credit management view, allocation of stock to a blocked order is not followed in business, lets take a logic example if you have 100 qty in stock & u have order for 80 qty from a customer on normal scenario you will have this order confirmed, but since he is on credit block, the confirmation for him will not happen, there is no point in reserving the stock for a credit blocked customer, if at all it happens you may not be able to confirm a new order for 70 qty for a customer who is of cash sale type.
next order going back to credit hold after confirmation : this may be a scenario in material determination, you might have entered say $5 manually for a material & you had saved the document that will be of $5 value, once you release the order ( you will release the value as $5 against the order), now the determined material will have a condition record of $6 & hence will go for a block,( means if the manually entered price is lesser than the condition value) you will have the order going for block again.
let me know if my understanding on your question is right
