CRforEnterprise - Axis with percent value

Hi all,
is it possible to format the y-axis with percent values in CR 4.0 or 4.1?
I have a 100% stack bar chart, the axis-values are 0.1, 0.2, ..., 1.0. Other chart types (simple stackbar) do not offer this too.
If I format the axis I can only choose date/time, currency or number format. In Crystal Reports 2013 I have a "percent category".
Any ideas (without creating formulas * 100)? Thanks in advance!
Best regards,
Peter

I have a similar problem - except it is with a formula that does multiply by 100.
I have two numbers that are Running Total Fields.  I have a percent formula (includes *100) between the two, but I can't even get the pct fields to show up to be selected.

  • Chart with custom y axis, with point values only c#

    is there a way you can customize a y axis label to display only the points on a chart, or have both uniform intervals with custom values.
    for example show the value of a line on a chart in the y axis at the exact point where the line appears on the chart.

  • Chart Axis With a Filter

    Hi,
    I have 7 charts (One for each day of week) and I have put a filter on each chart to show that respective days data.
    However I want the Y axis Value to remain the same for each day and i want this value to be the Maximum Value of the entire dataset.
    How can I do this.
    I have a field called MAX_AXIS but this is only showing me the max axis for that day not the week because of the filter
    Thanks

    Hi lrj1985,
    In order to achieve your requirement, we should set the Minimum value of Vertical Axis with maximum value of the whole dataset as Andrew post. And then set a static value (0, =MIN( Fields!MyValue.Value, "MyDataset" ) or others) as the Minimum value of Vertical
    Axis. Then the Vertical Axis will display the max value of the week, not that day.
    The screenshot below is for your reference:
    If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask.

    I get this if I create two charts and guided navigation but I want to know if is possible to do it with one report?

  • Apex flash charts with date values on the x axis

    I am playing around in Apex 4 using flash charts and having a bit of troubles playing with dates on the x axis on a 2d line chart.
    What I am trying to achive is a values plotted across the chart and the date/time values are not a constent (ie not continually say 1 hour apart) hence why I want to use a datatype of date.
    In the SQL below:
    select null as link,  sysdate -2  as value, 0 as label from dual
    union
    select null , sysdate -2+1/24 , 1 from dual
    union
    select null , sysdate -2+2/24 , 2 from dual
    union
    select null , sysdate -2+5/48, 1 from dual
    union
    select null , sysdate -2+3/24, 0 from dual;I get a 2D Line chart but each date/time value is equally space apart (ie sysdate -2, sysdate -2+1/24, sysdate -2+2/24 and sysdate -2+3/24 should be 1 unit apart and sysdate -2+5/48 should be half way between sysdate -2+2/24 and sysdate -2+3/24).
    I think I have to use custom xml. Using http://www.anychart.com/products/anychart/docs/xmlReference/index.html and http://www.anychart.com/products/anychart/docs/users-guide/DateTime-Axes.html I edited the XML and changed:

    Can anyone see what I am doing wrong or point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance.

    This will be a little bit lengthy answer, but I guess it will be easier to understand what I meant to say.
    I created a table that contains values you used as a data source (just to make my life easier):
    SQL> alter session set nls_date_format = 'dd.mm.yyyy hh24:mi:ss';
    Session altered.
    SQL> select * from test;
    VALUE                    LABEL
    12.10.2010 09:03:45          0
    12.10.2010 10:03:45          1
    12.10.2010 11:03:45          2
    12.10.2010 11:33:45          1
    12.10.2010 12:03:45          0
    SQL> alter session set nls_date_format = 'hh24:mi';
    Session altered.From now on, we'll see only hours and minutes.
    Step 1: current and previous values - difference in number of MINUTES
    SQL> select t.value,
      2         lag(t.value) over (order by t.value) previous_value,
      3         (t.value - lag(t.value) over (order by t.value)) * 24 * 60 minutes_diff
      4  from test t;
    VALUE PREVI MINUTES_DIFF
    09:03
    10:03 09:03           60
    11:03 10:03           60
    11:33 11:03           30
    12:03 11:33           30Step 2: a little bit of calculation:
    - TIME_SPAN: how many minutes are there between MIN and MAX date?
    - MIN_DIFF: what is the minimum time difference (minutes)?
    - SLICES: how many time slices do we want on the x-axis?
    SQL> select
      2    min(x.value) min_val,
      3    max(x.value) max_val,
      4    min(x.minutes_diff) min_diff,
      5    (max(x.value) - min(x.value)) * 24 * 60 time_span,
      6    (max(x.value) - min(x.value)) * 24 * 60 / min(x.minutes_diff) slices
      7  from (select t.value,
      8               lag(t.value) over (order by t.value) previous_value,
      9               (t.value - lag(t.value) over (order by t.value)) * 24 * 60 minutes_diff
    10        from test t
    11       ) x;
    MIN_V MAX_V   MIN_DIFF  TIME_SPAN     SLICES
    09:03 12:03         30        180          6There's 180 minutes between 09:03 and 12:03; minimum time difference in our TEST table is 30 minutes, so - we want to have 6 time slices on the x-axis (180 / 30).
    Step 3: row generator technique: let's create time values that are missing:
    SQL> select y.min_val + (level - 1) * y.min_diff / (24 * 60) val
      2  from (select
      3          min(x.value) min_val,
      4          max(x.value) max_val,
      5          min(x.minutes_diff) min_diff,
      6          (max(x.value) - min(x.value)) * 24 * 60 time_span,
      7          (max(x.value) - min(x.value)) * 24 * 60 / min(x.minutes_diff) slices
      8        from (select t.value,
      9                     lag(t.value) over (order by t.value) previous_value,
    10                     (t.value - lag(t.value) over (order by t.value)) * 24 * 60 minutes_diff
    11              from test t
    12             ) x
    13       ) y
    14  connect by level <= y.slices + 1;
    VAL
    09:03
    09:33
    10:03
    10:33
    11:03
    11:33
    12:03
    7 rows selected.OK, now we have 30 minutes between every time value.
    Step 4: join newly generated time values with the original table. Use OUTER JOIN; missing labels will be 0 (zero):
    SQL> select
      2    null link,
      3    to_char(z.val, 'hh24:mi') new_value,
      4    nvl(t1.label, 0) new_label
      5  from (select y.min_val + (level - 1) * y.min_diff / (24 * 60) val
      6        from (select
      7                min(x.value) min_val,
      8                max(x.value) max_val,
      9                min(x.minutes_diff) min_diff,
    10                (max(x.value) - min(x.value)) * 24 * 60 time_span,
    11                (max(x.value) - min(x.value)) * 24 * 60 / min(x.minutes_diff) slices
    12              from (select t.value,
    13                           lag(t.value) over (order by t.value) previous_value,
    14                           (t.value - lag(t.value) over (order by t.value)) * 24 * 60 minutes_diff
    15                    from test t
    16                   ) x
    17             ) y
    18        connect by level <= y.slices + 1
    19       ) z,
    20       test t1
    21  where t1.value (+) = z.val
    22  order by z.val;
    L NEW_V  NEW_LABEL
      09:03          0
      09:33          0
      10:03          1
      10:33          0
      11:03          2
      11:33          1
      12:03          0
    7 rows selected.Cool, so we have them all. Now, go to Apex and create a chart using a query from step #4.
    I tested it - it displays something which means that it should work for you too (unfortunately, this forum doesn't accept attachments so that you could see it). Now, I can't tell whether that's what you need or not, but - if the idea itself is OK, it can be adjusted (I hope so).

  • Bar chart with hyperlink values in X-Axis in XIR2

    Hi folks,
    I am trying to create a bar chart which shows values for 2 measures using one dimension in the X-axis. I want an hyperlink associated with the values in the X-axis because I want to implement the ability of drilling through to another report when I click any of those values. That second report will show information filtered by the value of the dimension I clicked on.
    I was reading a bit about it and it looks like it is not possible. The workaround provided was to make a table aside the chart and implement that behaviour in the table, not in the chart.
    Anyone of you could confirm this? Any of you has another ideas?
    Thanks a million
    J. Russell

    Hi Arif,
    That is one of the work-arounds I have in mind.
    Thanks for your answer

  • Apex 3.2 SVG Chart - How to plot Stacked Bar With Negative Values ?

    Currently Apex 3.2 Flash Chart (AnyChart 3.x) does not support Stacked bars with negative values.
    I try with SVG Stacked bars with positive values only, chart ploting works fine. When I add a new series with negative values (i.e -1) and I get a blank Chart region with no error.
    Based on this statement from Apex's documentation:
    *"AxisLine Indicates zero on charts that have negative values."*
    I appreciate your help on how to translate this statement into action ?
    (i.e how to override .Axisline class in CSS section ?)
    Thank you very much for your time.

    User614143,
    try to add the minumm negative value (but positive) to the parameter for the axis.
    e.g. show value+3000 (assuming -3000 is the minimum value)
    If you don't have a limitation for the negative values, it doesn't work. (or try to calculate first the most negative value in a before header process)
    hope this helps.

  • Problems installing Axis with WLS 8.1

    I'm having problems installing Apache Axis with WLS 8.1.
    I'm totally new to WLS, so this may be at the heart of the problem.
    I install Axis as per the installation instructions.
    These are the steps I followed:
    1. Installed the axis directory to
    C:\bea\weblogic81\samples\domains\examples\applications\axis2. Added xml-apis.jar and xercesImpl.jar to the AXISCLASSPATH ( the complete AXISCLASSPATH is
    C:\axis-1_2RC2\lib\wsdl4j.jar;C:\axis-1_2RC2\lib\axis-ant.jar;C:\axis-1_2RC2\lib\commons-discovery.jar;C:\axis-1_2RC2\lib\commons-logging.jar;C:\axis-1_2RC2\lib\jaxrpc.jar;C:\axis-1_2RC2\lib\log4j.properties;C:\axis-1_2RC2\lib\log4j-1.2.8.jar;C:\axis-1_2RC2\lib\saaj.jar;C:\axis-1_2RC2\lib\axis.jar;C:\javasoft\javamail-1.3.2\mail.jar;C:\javasoft\javamail-1.3.2\lib\smtp.jar;C:\javasoft\javamail-1.3.2\lib\mailapi.jar;C:\javasoft\javamail-1.3.2\lib\pop3.jar;C:\javasoft\javamail-1.3.2\lib\imap.jar;C:\javasoft\jaf-1.0.2\activation.jar;C:\javasoft\Xerces\xerces-2_5_0\xercesImpl.jar;C:\javasoft\Xerces\xerces-2_5_0\xml-apis.jar)3.Added weblogic.xml file to C:\bea\weblogic81\samples\domains\examples\applications\axis\WEB-INF\weblogic.xmlas per instructions with <prefer-web-inf-classes>true</prefer-web-inf-classes> 4. Started the examples server.
    5. I then tried to validate the installation as per intructions using <a href="http://localhost:7001/axis"></a>
    Everything looks OK with the Axis start page displayed.
    6. I then tried happyaxis.jsp . All needed components are present with saaj.jar being picked up from :
    Found SAAJ API (javax.xml.soap.SOAPMessage) at C:\bea\weblogic81\samples\domains\examples\examplesServer\.wlnotdelete\extract\examplesServer__appsdir_axis_dir_axis\jarfiles\WEB-INF\lib\saaj.jar7. I'm missing optional component xmlsec.jar
    8. Now the trouble starts!!!
    pretty much anything I try now comes back with:
    AXIS error
    Sorry, something seems to have gone wrong... here are the details:
    Exception - java.lang.NullPointerExceptionI get this if I try:
    <a href="http://localhost:8080/axis/services/Version?method=getVersion"></a>
    or
    <a href="http://localhost:7001/axis/services/AdminService?wsdl"></a>
    or
    <a href="http://localhost:7001/axis/services/Version?wsdl"></a>
    So, what's going wrong? I cant think what to do next. Please help! I need this to work fairly urgently.

    I'm doing exactly the same thing (adding the xerces jars to my web-inf/lib), but happyaxis.jsp is saying the jar I'm using is invalid as follows:
    Error: Invalid version of SAAJ API found in D:\bea\weblogic81\server\lib\webservices.jar. Make sure that Axis' saaj.jar precedes D:\bea\weblogic81\server\lib\webservices.jar in CLASSPATH.
    Axis will not work.
    Maybe this worked in a previous release/SP? I'm using 8.1SP3. I've read some other post saying you cannot override stuff in the weblogic.jar, so I've tried to add the jars to the pre_classpath, which resolves the issue but I get a soap fault related to this thread. Any ideas?
    Thanks,

  • Jspinner with percent formatting

    Hi, I want to make a jspinner but with percent formatting. Here is the code:
        private void SetUpSpinner() {
            NumberFormat percentEditFormat;
            NumberFormat percentDisplayFormat;
            percentEditFormat = NumberFormat.getNumberInstance();
            percentDisplayFormat = NumberFormat.getPercentInstance();
            NumberFormatter percentEditFormatter =
                    new NumberFormatter(percentEditFormat) {
                public String valueToString(Object o)
                      throws ParseException {
                    Number number = (Number)o;
                    if (number != null) {
                        double d = number.doubleValue() * 100.0;
                        number = new Double(d);
                    return super.valueToString(number);
                public Object stringToValue(String s)
                       throws ParseException {
                    Number number = (Number)super.stringToValue(s);
                    if (number != null) {
                        double d = number.doubleValue() / 100.0;
                        number = new Double(d);
                    return number;
            jformattf = new JFormattedTextField(
                                 new DefaultFormatterFactory(
                                    new NumberFormatter(percentDisplayFormat),
                                    new NumberFormatter(percentDisplayFormat),
                                    percentEditFormatter));
            Integer value = new Integer(10);
            Integer min = new Integer(0);
            Integer max = new Integer(100);
            Integer step = new Integer(1);
            SpinnerNumberModel model = new SpinnerNumberModel(value, min, max, step);
            CommisionSp.setEditor(jformattf);
            CommisionSp.setModel(model);
        }If I comment the CommisionSp.setEditor(jformattf); line, the jspinner works fine but without percent format. But if I add that line.... the increase and decrease button does not work at all although I can edit the jspinner directly and when the jspinner lost the focus, my number will be formatted to be percentage formatting.
    Any solution???
    Thank you.

        JSpinner.NumberEditor editor = new JSpinner.NumberEditor(spinner,"0%");
        spinner.setEditor(editor);
        JPanel jp = new JPanel();

        getContentPane().add(jp);

  • Converting the category axis to a value axis

    Is it possible to convert the category (x) axis to a value axis?
    I have a set of measurements (18 total) spaced over 116 days.
    I know how to "force it" by constructing "categories" for the numbers 1 thru 116.
    But, that can be clumsy and time-consuming to setup.
    Thanks, Bob

    Hi Bob,
    The only chart type in Numbers with two value axes is the Scatter chart.
    Category charts pick up their category axis labels from a Header column.
    Scatter charts require that the values for each data point be paired in two regular (ie. non-header) columns.
    So, to do the converson you'll have to:
    move (or copy) the dates (which must be actual Date and Time values) into a body column.
    move (or copy) the measurement values into a column to the right of the dates
    Select those two columns of data
    construct the scatter chart.
    Regards,
    Barry

  • Percent value

    In database I have a double value, example 0.976532111
    I then multiplice it with 100 (to get percentvalue) I then reduce the number of decimals.
    So it then show 97.7 the problem is if the double value is 1. The percent value is then 100.0 And that is not good, It look unproffesional. How do you do, is there a percentformat method?
    Andreas

    Yes that is one way. But my thought was that java had
    a method to convert double, int, to percent a percent
    value. Is there any such method?There should be a way, but if you want to do it mathematically then you can:double p1 = 20.0;
    if(p1 % 1 > 0) {  //if mantissa exists
      System.out.println("%" + p1);  //print it with the decimal place
    } else {
      System.out.println("%" + (int)p1);  //truncate the decimal place
    }

  • JDBC MS Access--- cannot extract entry with null value with data type Meta

    I'm trying to extract a data entry with null value by using JDBC. The database is MS Access.
    The question is how to extract null entry with data type memo? The following code works when the label has data type Text, but it throws sqlException when the data type is memo.
    Any advice will be appreciated! thanks!
    Following are the table description and JDBC code:
    test table has the following attributes:
    Field name Data Type
    name Text
    label Memo
    table contents:
    name label
    me null
    you gates
    Code:
    String query = "SELECT name, label FROM test where name like 'me' ";
    ResultSet rs = stmt.executeQuery(query);
    while (rs.next())
    String name = rs.getString("name");
    rs.getString("val");
    String label = rs.getString("label");
    System.out.println("\t"+name+"\t"+label);
    catch (SQLException ex)
    System.out.println(ex.getSQLState());
    System.out.println(ex.getErrorCode());
    System.out.println("in sqlexception");
    output:
    C:\Temp\SEFormExtractor>java DBTest
    yet SELECT name, label FROM test
    null
    0
    in sqlexception

    The question is how to extract null entry with data type memo?Okay, what you need to do is this:
    if (rs.getString("val") == null)
      // do something
    }This way, when it's a null value, you can check it first, and then handle it how you want, rather than getting an exception.

  • Need help with NULL values in Crosstables

    Hello everybody,
    I need some help with NULL values and crosstables. My issue is the following:
    I have a query (BW - MDX-Query) that gives me turnover measures for each month. In Crystal Reports I choose crosstable to display this whereby I put all month in columns and all turnover-measures in rows. Each month that has a value (measures are not empty) is chown in the crosstables rows. So far so good. The problem occures when there are month that actually have no values (measures are empty). In that case these months are not chown in columns. But I need CR to display these columns and show the value 0. How can I do that?

    Hi Frank,
    Cross tab shows the data based on your column and these column fields are grouped and based on the group it will show your summaries.
    If there is no data for any of your group it will not display that group.  In this case you will have to create a standard report which should look like cross tab and to get zero values you need to write formulas .
    Example if you want to display Moth wise sales :
    if Month() = 01 Then
    sum() else 0
    Now this formula will check if your month is Jan, then it will sum up the values else it will display zero value.
    This is possible only through standard report not with Cross Tab.
    Thanks,
    Sastry

  • Dynamic action with set value on date field

    Hi,
    I'm using APEX 4.02
    I'm trying to calculate the age based on the date of birth dynamically on a form. I'm trying to do this with a (advanced)dynamic action with set value.
    I'm able to get this kind of action working based on a number field etc, but NEVER on a date field.
    I've read all posts on this subject but so far no solution. Even if I try to simply copy the value over to another date field or typecast it to a string ( to_char function ) it does not work. So for me the problem seems to be in the source field being a date field.
    I've tried using the source value as is in a select statement :
    select :P33_GEBOORTEDATUM from dual;
    and also type casted based on the date format :
    select TO_DATE(:P33_GEBOORTEDATUM,'DD-MON-YYYY') from dual
    but still no luck.
    On the same form I don't have any issues as long as the calculation is based on number fields, but as soon as I start using dates all goes wrong.
    Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. If you need any extra info just let me know.
    Cheers
    Bas
    b.t.w My application default date format is DD-MON-YYYY, maybe this has something to do with the issue .... ?

    Hi,
    Create a dynamic action named "set age" with following values.
    Event: Change
    Selection Type: Item(s)
    Item(s): P1_DATE_OF_BIRTH
    Action: Set value
    Fire on page load: TRUE
    Set Type: PL/SQL Expression
    PL/SQL Expression: ROUND( (SYSDATE - :P1_DATE_OF_BIRTH)/365.24,0)
    Page items to submit: P1_DATE_OF_BIRTH
    Selection Type: Item(s)
    Item(s): P1_AGE

  • How to get all parameter names along with their values in stored procedure which is being executed

    Im using sql server 2012, is there any possible way to get all the parameters of a stored procedure along with the values passed to it.
    I need these things to build a xml. I mean this should happen in the procedure which being executed and it should be common for all the procedures.
    For example, let us suppose we have to procedures,
    uspSave, @name='test' @age=20
    uspDelete @id=2
    now in uspSave procedure, i need to get @name, @age and the values 'test', 20 and in uspDelete, i should get @id with value 2.
    For getting the column names, i tried this,
    select parameter_name from information_schema.PARAMETERS where specific_name=OBJECT_NAME(@@procid)
    now is it possible to loop through the result of above query and can we get the values.

    I think  you need running SQL Server Profiler to capture this info even in SQL Server 2012.
