CRM 2007 CIC Architecture

Hi All,
Can you please let me know any link for current CRM 2007 architecture.
Moreover CRM 2007 CIC Architecture - any SAP standard info available.
I know cross posting is very bad habit, but by mistake I posted in CRM 2007 instead of this community.
Sorry.
Regards,
Jitender

Hello Jitender,
When you refer CIC do you mean IC Winclient?
If so, unfortunally winclient is no longer supported in that version. The only Interaction Center that is supported in that version is the IC WebClient.
For more details, check John Burton answer in the following thread:
Interaction Center WinClient in CRM 6.0?

  • Before CRM 2007 : CIC - WebGui or WinGui

    Hi ,
Call center is not my area of expertise so ,,, In CRM 4.0 we had 2 UI : WebGui or WinGui .
In CRM 2007 , is call center (CIC) using the same UI as the others components ? Or we still have to use WebGui or WinGui ?
    Thank you .

    Hello,
in CRM 4.0 the CIC really had two UIs. One based on Win GUI, the other on BSPs.
Actually CRM 2007 WebClient UI (the new one) is based on the remains of the IC WebClient. You can still see it when running a wizard that generates CRMIC tags.
In CRM 2007 CIC and the normal CRM both use the same UI based on BSPs.
However the BSP Applications are still separate:
To start for CRM use CRM_UI_FRAME
To start CIC use the same one as in CRM 4.0 (suppose it is CRM_IC).

  • CRM 2007 Call Centre Fact Sheet Modification

    Hi Gurus
The CRM 2007 CIC Fact Sheet is preconfigired with 6 views:
    Installed Base
    Service Ticket History
    Sales Order History
    Generic History View
    Service Order History
    Complaint History
Is it possible to configure different componient views to be visible as like the BP Account Fact Sheet.
I have reviewed: Maintain Fact Sheet function and it doesn't appear to do what I  need.
    Many Thanks in  advance
    Panduranga

    Hi Panduranga
Do you want to add other order types to BP Account Fact Sheet?
or Do you want other Component views to look like BP Account Fact Sheet?

    Hi
It appears that you are using winClient and based on what I read I figure you're almost there, but you must still update the CIC Framework accessed via the following transaction, CRMC_CIC_FW_MAINTAIN . In order to complete the settings you must add the alert modeler component ID to the Hidden Framework. Finally, since you create a custom class you must
assign that class to your defined meta model. Scroll all the way to the bottom under the Function section and add your class to this list. See example below.
    </function>

  • CRM 2007 and Custom ISA 4.0 application interoperability

    Hi,
We are in the process to upgrade our CRM 4.0 back end system to CRM 2007, in fact we already performed the BASIS upgrade in our sandbox system to estimate the effort required for the upgrade on different areas.
One of this areas is related with the ISA web application, we have a custom ISA 4.0 application that we use to capture business transaction in our CRM system, but this application is running in a separate NetWeaver 7.0 system on the DMZ, we would like to know if it is possible to integration of the old ISA 4.0 with the new CRM 6.0 (CRM 2007) backend system.
The reasoning to try to leave the CRM ISA application on 4.0 is because we are using it just to provide us the framework to create transaction in CRM, in fact we only create one type of transaction in the CRM system from this web application and the effort to upgrade the java application to the new version together with the support package stack could be very high for a application that is not very heavily used.
In summary, the question is if it is architecturally feasible to connect a CRM ISA 4.0 web application with a CRM 6.0 (CRM 2007) backend system?
Thanks for your help with this,
    Zareh Vazquez

    Hi Zareh
Firstly I can advise that ISA 4.0 Is not compatible with CRM 2007.
One of the biggest issues that you will encounter if you attempt this
is the compatibility of the ISA application with
the Internet Explorer 7 and Mozilla Firefox 2 browsers.
In ISA 4.0 even if you can get it to work with CRM 2007 these browsers are
not supported and no workaround is currently available or planned to address this.
This compatibility has only been address in the later versions of ISA 5.0
As these browsers versions are now becoming more commonly used
I think that this will be important for your consideration.
Please review the following notes which discuss such issues.
244869 Problems with the display in Internet Explorer 7.0
    064439 Browser-specific stylesheets for Firefox and IE7
I hope that this will be of assistance.
    Warm regards.

  • What is used in CRM 2007

    hi  Experts,
I need some clarifications regarding the CRM2007 UI Architecture.
Is Webdynpro ABAP or BSP is avilable in CRM 2007 or both avialable in 2007?
What is the UI stretegy in CRM2007? what is the Architecture of CRM2007?
We are planning to upgrading CRM 5.0 to CRM 7.0 ?
Is this CRM 2007 supports the ABAP Webdynpro or BSP or both?
    Regards
    Vijay

    Hi,
CRM 2007 and the new WebClient UI is completely based on BSP. If you have been working with the IC Webclient in CRM before, it is the same technology.
WebDynpro can be called from the CRM WebClient as an external HTTP link.
The UI Strategy... maybe this is what you mean Customer Relationship Management (SAP CRM) Otherwise ask SAP for some nifty PowerPoint presentations, I suppose they will be happy to provide them to you.
The upgrage from CRM 5.0 to any version above will be considerable effort as nearly all UI parts need to be redone in BSP. However there is the mentioned possibility to call HTTP capable elements via hyperlink. As well there is the transaction launcher which can bring old GUI applications to the new UI (no, not convert them, just show the old application).
    cheers Carsten

  • Difference between SAP-CRM 2007 UI and previous version UI.

    hi,
anyone knows the differences difference between SAP-CRM 2007 UI and previous version UI.
anykind of links or files are helpful.
    regards.
    raman.

    Hi,
actually quite a late response and I think all the rather technically focuses comments have already been given, incl. the link to a really good slide deck, that explains all the technical architecture details on what exactly we did.
From an end user perspective some other statements on what we did:
    (1) From an information architecture and visualization perspective we acted based on feedback from our customers in the last years, which led to some restructuring of the screen, e.g. moving the navigation bar from the top area of the screen (horizontal) to the left hand side --> sounds simple but users tend to have problem seeing thing at the top of the screen. We also decided to arrange the information for e.g. an account or an opportunity not in a tab oriented format. Again usability tests in CRM had shown that users often find it hard to see and understand that tabs contain additional information. We now show the details in assignment blocks below the header information in a scrollable format. Vertical scrolling is a behavior of a screen that most users know from their internet experience. Those are just two exampels of what we did in this area
    (2) We also have put a large focus on well known web behaviors, like drag & drop and personalization in general, knowing that on the one hand side, no matter what standard UI we deliver, users tend to adapt it exactly based on their needs and wishes. So you will find really easy to understand personalization options everywhere in the new CRM Web Client UI. To achieve this we used lots of web 2.0 techologies that enable especially these easy interactive capabilitites.
    (3) Finally, and this relates directly to the arguments mentioned in (2) we focused as well on really easy UI configuration. Again, in every customer project user interface changes are made, to adapt the SAP default to the customers needs. here we invested a lot to make the 60-80% most common UI changes done in projects as easy as possible, that even non-technical people can generally do it (like Power users).
Hope this clarifies some arguments what from the users point of view has been done and what the advantages are.
When you follow the same link as mentioned by Nadine above, you can also find a presentation UI Concept, which explains all the details rather from a users perspective.
Best regards and enjoy the new UI ..and every feedback is very much welcome, only with your feedback we can improve the solution even more.

  • How to get a Custom View in CRM 2007

    Hi,
I have created a new view (SrvTLocation) and I want to replace Service Level Agreements view with the SrvTLocation.
In the old version, I followed this approach to get the location view
    1. Add SrvTLocation to the SrvTViewSet under the view area "SrvTActionSLA".
    2. Redefine the method "DO_REPLACE_INITIAL_VIEW" of the controller class of "SrvTViewSet", so that it will replace the "SrvTSLA" with "SrvTLocation"
I dont know how to do it in the new system.
Please advice me. I will reward points.

    Hi Sreekanth
Have you checked the new CRM 2007 Cookbook.
I believe it's available from SAP Marketplace. Haven't checked myself but do believe it's there.

    Hi Bhushan,
Yes I did check DEV 200 after transporting the request. If I goto se80 in Dev 200 and navigate to the mountain.gif inside the BSP Application and click on the file, I do see my custom picture but the same is not reflected in Web UI. Over there, the mountain still reigns !!!
Any other thing that I need to try?

  • Sap CRM 2007 Security related issue

    Hi All,
I am working on SAP CRM 2007 security.
I have scenario, which we are trying to fix.
There are two users A and B.
A is assigned to role X
B is assigned to role y
Business Partner 123 is created for user A
Business Partner 456 is created for user B
These Business Partners are assigned to Authorization Groups.
    See below:
1)Authorization Group (LK01) is assigned to Business Partner --123.
    2) Authorization Group (LK02) is assigned to Business Partner --456
    3) Authorization groups LK01 is assigin to user A in PFCG role X
    4) Authorization groups LK02 is assigin to user B in PFCG role Y
    a) User A assigned with PFCG role X>Authorization Group (LK01)>BP 123.
    b) User B assigned with PFCG role Y>Authorization Group (LK02)>BP 456.
    Note:
    1) Authorization Groups are assigned to BPs under the Control tab.
    2) These Auth Groups are assigned in Authorization Object in PFCG role.
Now, USER 'A' should not be able to work under the BP 456 as this BP is assigned to authorization group LK02.
The issue is when we open the WEB UI and login with user A role X, He can search for the BP 456 assigned to Auth Group LK02.
User A can open the Interaction History and edit the Service Order created using the BP 456.
He can Edit the following in Service Order details:
    1) General Data Status (from created to complete), Contact person, Sale Rep name.
    2) Organization Data like Sales Office, Sales Org Unit, Distribution Channel
    3) Business Partner.
However, one good thing is he cannot edit the Account details like Account ID, House No, Employee Resposible, the message he get is "No authorization to change partner with authorization group"  which is a
    good thing.
I have tried to be precise, please let me know if you require more information.
    Regards,
    Dave.

    I suggest the following:
Please, check whether the system works if you activate the implementation BUPA_F4_AUGRP.
In addition check the notes 559662, 674869 and 782927. Maybe the notes are already implemented but you can try then the implementation of the BADI (SE19). It should resolve your issue.
I have implemented this Badi solution before, and after activation; the search help ; nor search result list did NOT show any Business partners anymore that had an authorization group I was not allowed to see.
    kind regards

  • Bounce Management in SAP CRM 2007

    Hi Experts,
we have SAP CRM 2007 and I have a few questions about Bounce Management.
It is a very simple scenario, so it´s fine if only hard bounces for incoming EMails are handled.
    1) Do you need ERMS for that simple form of Bounce Mgt?
    2) Is the Usage of Inetraction Center required? (We do not want to)
    3) Is it possible/recommended to create Activities out of incoming bounces?
    4) Can you segment on Bounces, not only within the Campaign Automation?
    5) What ist the effort/set up to use Bounce Mgt in that simple scenario about?
    Thanks a lot
    Florian

Yes, I was mentioning SAP Note 897730. The major pre-requisite mentioned there is Event linkage settings through SWETYPV transaction and in your case you just need to do the Rule Modeler settings. If you are using DEFAULT policy you do not need to do anything in Service Manager Profile.
    The note pre-requisites mentioned are
The required services and service manager profiles for using the E-Mail Response Management System (ERMS) are defined: All entries necessary for bounce management are delivered in the default Customizing. As I mentioned before Service Manager Profile: Bounce is already defined and you are going to use that profile. The required service in your case would be "Bounce Data Update" or one of the 5 standard service mentioned in this note. These are already defined and taken care of in standard configurations. Therefore, you do not need to do anything over there.
Please do the above two settings and if you have any issues please come back to me. I am sure you won't have any issues with the requirements that you mentioned. I just took one hour to set up hard bounce scenario. Only if you are planning to use services that are not standard it becomes slightly tricky. In our case major issue was that there was an error in the standard workflow. I did not know much about Workflow bindings etc. before, but then I had to dig deep into this and it gave me an opportunity to learn workflows. This was the good thing that came out of all this.
    Regards,
    Deepak
Please note you will have to do the Event Linkage settings in SWETYPV transaction.

How i will get the data into the web UI.
Can anybody expalin about this one to me with screen shorts if possible.
I want add some fields into the web UI. Provide some values into that. Capture the values.
Navigate the data from one screen to another screen. How it is possible. I did not understand.
If i am changing any screens in the pre define component it shows dump.
So, now i need Custom component with adding of the fields.

    Hi,
Try put the htmlb to show a field:
    <thtmlb:label design="LABEL" for="//<context>/<field>" text="<field>"/>
    <thtmlb:inputField  id="<field>" maxlength="31" size="20" value="//<context>/<field>"/>
In order to get value, you can write a simple code in the event_handler:
    LR_BOL                      type ref to IF_BOL_BO_PROPERTY_ACCESS
    LR_BOL = ME->TYPED_CONTEXT-><context>->COLLECTION_WRAPPER->get_current()
    var1 = LR_BOL->GET_PROPERTY_AS_STRING('FIELD').
take a look at lr_bol methods so that you can see the set and get methods.
    Regards,
    Renato.
