CRM-XI-Mobile

Hello Gurus,
Iam a student trying to learn XI. But, Iam having a scenario which is out of my thinking or knowledge. If you could give me some input, it would really help me.
Scenario: I have to create a Business partner in CRM and it should be sent as vcard to my mobile. So, I thought it is CRM-XI-Mobile scenario. Please try to give me some Info. (Sending VCARD as SMS is not appreciated. Imagine my mobile is always connected to Internet )
2.) How can I push the CRM data to XI, every time a Business Partner is created?
Thanking you for your time.
Viele Gruße,
Ajaykumar,Vasireddy

Hi,
>>>>Ja. You are saying it is not pushing part. But sending data from CRM to XI means, Iam pushing BP data every time it is created. Isn't it?
I was answering Krishna's answer
(I know it's pushing)
>>>>And I really dont know what change pointers means? Can't I do just like this.
no need if you use BP
>>>>Using some IDOC(BUPA_Main) I will push the BP data to XI and change it to VCARD structure and send it through (SMS,Bluetooth,Internet...).
BUPA main is a bdoc (CRM middleware)
idoc will be created from that

  • Help needed-Survey template data not flowing from CRM to Mobile & V V

    Hi experts,
We have a requirement to create a custom survey template and pass it to mobile. The data flow should be to and fro. as in; from CRM to Mobile Application and vice versa.
Currently we are facing an issue in this that the data if not being passed properly from the CRM TO Moblie.
As i am new to the middleware concepts, i am not sure how to go about analysing if my data in the BDocs for the survey template if correct or not. Some data is present for the survey in the Bdoc(xml), but i am not sure if this xml value is correct or not as the Bdoc table entry (xml value)seems to have been truncated(i cannot view the entire xml there wen i try to open the BDoc fields in SMW01).
any pointers to this is highly appreciated.
    Thanks

  • How to distinguish Delta download from CRM to Mobile from Initial download

    Hi guys,
I checked out that when downloading from CRM to CDB (for mobile), the inbound queue is always CRI_XXX..._CDBI.
For data load from CRM to R/3, I remember that initial load and delta load, the inbound queue names would end up in differnet words (I for initial load, D for Delta load). But for load from CRM to CDB, it seems that only 'I' exists.
My question is, how can we distinguish delta load from initial load via the queue name? saying that the queue name is
CRI_CSA_BUPA_INIT_CDBI, can we simply judge that it's an initial load or delta one?
    Thanks and best regards,
    Raymond

Yes, CRI_CSA_BUPA_INIT_CDBI is the queue created for BUPA initial load from CRM to CDB. Delta loads from CRM to CDB would create no queues - they would be handled in the objects queue itself (for eg. CSABUPA*) queues.

  • Error in BP Creation in CRM from Mobile Client

    Hi,
I have created the mobile client application MSA. When i do the sync through conntrans, the BP is transfering from MSA to CRM and it is available in Inbound queue. But after executing the Bdoc it gives me a error message saying that the Partner GUID is no exist.
"Validation error occurred: Module CRM_BUPA_MAIN_VAL, BDoc type BUPA_MAIN."
This error is in "CAPGEN_OBJ_WRITE" Bdoc.
When i check in SMW01, this Bdoc has only table CAPGEN_OBJECT with values (1 row).
    and
"CUST_HIERARCHY" Bdoc has give the below error message.
"Sending of an empty message is not possible"
Kindly suggest me where is the issue.
    Regards,
    Bala.c

    Hi Bala,
Which version of CRM are you using? There are some notes for CUST_HIERARCHY BDoc errors. Please have a look at them in the Support Portal.
CRM_BUPA_MAIN_VAL is used for validation of rules set in CRM Server and maybe you dont have the same mandatory rules in MSA.

  • Work with Latin2 in CRM and Mobile Sales

    Hi all,
I have the following question: we have a CRM implementation (non Unicode, English language), connected to a non-unicode R/3 system but with MDMP and languages activated, and also a Mobile Sales implementation. The Mobile users do the logon in English language, but they would like to work with Latin2 Customer data (Czech, Russian, etc). Is this possibile given the present configuration of R/3 and CRM? If yes, what must be done in our Mobile Sales computers? I know that the SQL database must be changed, but is there anything else to change?
    Thanks all!
    Judit.

    Hello Judit,
I had similar problems, but we have unicode-systems in r3 and crm.
I implemented sql-database on msa with collation settings
'dictionary order, case-insensitive, for use with the 1250 (central european) character set'.
In crm you'll have to set codepage to 1404 in admin console- site-attribute.
    Then test it.
    Best regards

  • How can Siebel CRM support mobile marketing?

Besides email marketing, does Siebel CRM support Short Message Services (SMS) via mobile communication network to a group of targeted customers (mobile marketing)?
Is there an Oracle product which can support mobile marketing and can be integrated on Siebel CRM? Or can Siebel CRM be integrated with an external mobile service provider? Is there any documentation on the integration specs with the external mobile service provider?

  • CRM 5.0 outbound queues to Mobile sales

    Hi all,
We have upgraded from CRM 3.0 to CRM 5.0.
I am looking at the outbound queues in SMQ1 that are bound to Mobile sales Sites and am not finding any data bundles other than the name of the Replication Object name in the LUW's of these queues.
But in CRM 3.0 I am able to see detailed data bundles for any of the queues.
Does this mean no data is actually being passed from CRM to Mobile Sales.
At this point of time  I dont have my commstation up and running to verify this. So I am curious to know how else can I check this?
    Thanks.

    Hi KP,
This is the default behaviour in 5.0...the queues are fine and you can go ahead with the sync using Conntrans.

  • How do we make the table content in Mobile and CRM synchonize?

    Hi,
We had the user customized table in CRM and Mobile client also had this table at the first place.
If we are adding or deleting the records in table in CRM,
how do we make the table content in CRM and Mobile in sync.?
    Is anyone can help?
    Regards,
    Nat

    Hi Nattawat,
There is a concept known as CDB(consolidated database).
Whenever you create/change something in CRM a BDOC gets generated. This BDOC gets stored in CDB in mobile sales scenario and then from CDB the data goes to the mobile clients.
Here you will have to enable the CDB. I guess we can do it from the SPRO configuration. Take inputs from functional guys here.
You will have to create the mobile clients as sites and then define Publication, subscription from Admin Console. The transaction is SMOEAC.
<b>Don't hesitate to ask further questions.</b>

  • MS Outlook Integration with CRM & Single Sign-On for Mobile\Blackberry

    Hi,
Weu2019re looking at implementing CRM and have some questions on whether SSO (Single Sign-On) is a requirement for integrating Outlook with CRM for access via Mobile\Blackberry devices or not. I've the following questions:
    - For integrating Outlook and Active Directory with CRM is SSO implementation a MUST?
    - Also, is it possible to integrate Outlook without Active Directory integration with SAP esp. CRM?
    Mandeep Virk

We got this figured out a couple of months earlier. It's nto a requirement to have SSO enabled for MS Outlook integration w/ CRM for Mobile\Blackberry use.

  • Changes CRM Mobile apps 4 vs. 5

    Hi,
Does someone know if there is some documentation available about the changes that have been made in CRM 5 Mobile Apps in comparison to 4? There is the .NET platform, but I heard that many registry entries have also been replaced by config files etc.
    Thanks,
    Sebastiaan.

    Hi Sebastiaan,
As of Features are concenred you have a new functionality termed as 'Visit Planning'.
Technically, For BP factsheets all requried connection data is centrally mained in System Maintainance and is distributed to all clients, thus person with Mobile client don't have to enter any data while requesting for factsheet compare to what was the scenario in 4.0.
For IPC XCM settings are required.
While Installing the application you need to specifiy various parameters such as Message server, port etc. and thats all as far as registry settings are concerned.
    Need FeedBack,

  • CRM Mobile App

I would like to know if there is a way to detect any user logged in to our CRM using mobile APP.
we recently deployed the mobile app we would like to check if the business logged in the system using their mobile devices.

    Hi,
With Audit logging you can check if the client used is for Web or Web service client. However this does not differentiate between Outlook or Mobile client as both use web service to access.

  • CRM Mobile 7.0 vs NW Mobile 7.0 and Which DB on MobileDevice?

    Hi All,
I want to develop mobile applications for my customer, however I dont know how I start.
At first, we use offline mobile devices and CRM applications. So I need to know the differences between CRMMobile and NWMobile7.0...For configuration of servers, prereqisites, development area and deployments...etc..
And for mobile client I need a DB ,for offline usage. SAP offers db2e for mobile client and MaxDB for laptops. MaxDB is free but not for mobile devices, db2e is ok but not free... can I use sqlCE or MinDB for this applications , both are free now I think . Or any other?
Could you help me on this topic.
How can I start and finish a simple program from the begining (from server configuration to mobile deployment what I need to install and configure on my computer and serverside).
For example, give customer number then get customer name project on mobile device.
    Thanx,

    Hi,
the SAP strategy for mobile applications is (has been) a little bit confusing in the past so I try to explain some basics:
    - CRM Mobile is laptop based, available is Mobile Service and Sales (including 2 branch specific applications), supported local DB system is MSSQL, connecting to SAP CRM
    - NW Mobile 7.0 (7.1) is designed for handhelds, PDAs, but also for laptops; there are currently NO standard applications available connecting to CRM; but since 7.1 there exists a platform where customer specific applications can be developed; for specific queries better use the forum <SAP Netweaver - Mobile> as there are the real experts available; you also should check the help portal [http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwmobile71/helpdata/en/ca/6fbd35746dbd2de10000009b38f889/frameset.htm]

  • CRM Mobile Upgrade

    Hi Experts,
Thanks to recent flood of SAP releases i'm not able to get my Mobile concepts straight... need your expert advice ...
Here's where i'm struggling, we are on using SAP CRM Mobile application (for Laptops) our CRM version 4.0 SP04 Non-Unicode (i know its very old). Now we want to upgrade to CRM 7.0 and not sure where to start. Need clarification on below questions:
    1)   Can we directly upgrade to CRM 7.0, as our present system is Non-Unicode will it require Unicode conversion before upgrade ?
    2)   Do we have to upgrade to CRM 7.0 or CRM 7.0 with NW7.10 ?
    3)   Is CRM Mobile same as Netwever Mobile ?
    4)   If yes, then do we need to upgrade to NW Mobile 7.0 or NW Mobile 7.10, if not, can we use NW Mobile instead of CRM Mobile for Laptops (our sales team only connects to SAP CRM using Mobile Laptops)
As you can see my main confusion is the upgrade path, latest CRM Mobile version and difference in CRM and NW Mobile. Please share your knowledge so that me as well as others can benefit from this thread.
    Regards,
    Vikas

    Hi,
you can run CRM Server 5.0/6.0/7.0 in non-unicode mode. If there is no need for the server then no migration is necessary.
In this case there is also no specific task to do for the Mobile Clients.
If you want to use unicode in the server then a migration needs to be done there.
Subsequently you need to do a complete initial load on the MSA clients even in case you still want to use non-unicode MSA clients (which is possible and supported!) because the CDB data is getting converted.
And finally in case you also want to use unicode MSA clients you need to do a full reinstallation there because the IDES DB cannot be converted.
In your scenario you will surely have the highest effort to do the code migration VB6 to VB.NET (with CMT - code migration tool) because MSA 7.0 is based on a different technology than 4.0.

  • SAP Mobile Sales 2.0 delta load issue for Sales Orders

    Hello,
we have used Mobile Sales 2.0 with a Windows app for a while now. Our current issue is that sales reps won't see any historical sales order data on their devices.
    Background
Due customer requirements, we need to make small changes to customer master data attributes and reload all customers from ERP to CRM. Then we ran delta loads (MAS_PARTNER followed by all other objects) to DOE, in which virtually all 5000+ customer accounts were compared. The delta load ran for about 3 days (some performance bottleneck we haven't located yet).
During the delta load, data on devices was inconsistent. Accounts were missing and all transaction data disappeared. After the delta loads, all accounts and contacts are OK, save for a few. Data from activities (appointments, tasks) have reappeared, as they should. Only sales orders won't reappear. The sales orders exist in the backend and belong to active accounts and sales reps.
    Settings and troubleshooting so far
We don't have any limitations for sales orders in CRM Sales Mobile configuration.
We've run delta loads for all objects in transaction SDOE_LOAD.
    MAS_CUSTOMIZATION etc seem fine.
We've re-run initial load for sales orders from CRM.
In the test system, we've even reinitialized the whole CDS database on DOE and on the devices, then re-ran the loads.
    Checked steps suggested in discussion
SAP CRM 2.0 initial load issue
Historical sales orders (those created before the master data reload) exist in the backend, but don't show up on the device.
If I change one of those historical sales orders in the backend, it gets sent to the device.
If I create a new sales order in the backend or on the device, it is saved and replicated just fine.
To sum it up, it seems DOE is unable to identify the sales orders relevant for replication.

First Doubt i got clarify by my self as we can go with Unwired Runtime option .
But i still have doubt in :
    2. How can i Modifying the Main Menu for iOS.
i am able to customize the same for windows using files SybaseCRM.Configuration.xml file.
Same how can i do for iphone/ipad.

  • How to find transaction code for a BDOC in CRM 2.0

    Hi,
    We have a situation :
    Env.: CRM 2.0
We know the names of the BDOCs.
We want to know the transaction code which are being used when the BDOC is processed and data is saved to CRM DB.
    It is urgent.
    e.g.
    BDOC name: FSA_ILOA_WRITE
Corresponding T Code in CRM: ??????
    Thanks in Advance
    Ritwik

You can find related tables. From that you can have a bit of idea where it is used.
The bdoc you have mentioned seems to be related to mobile sales related tables SMOILOA & SMOKVBEZ10. So, it seems this bdoc will carry some account assignment related data from CRM to Mobile Sales.
    Hope this helps.
