Crossdomain and ebay??

Hi,
I made an flex 2 advert for ebay, when i use httpservice

and import it in ebay it works ok
but when i use url="test.asp" (because asp and swf are in the
same folder on my server) and import it in ebay it doesn't work and
i receive an error:

Firefox will let me surf the web but certain sites such as facebook and eBay take too long to respond and i can not login, how can i fix this?

This has been going on for months for me. Time to drop Firefox & go back to IE.

The Back arrow does not always work, particularly with Amazon and eBay sites.Even the on-page Back arrows do not work either.

I am using version 15.0.1. Since I updated to this version, the Back arrow does NOT always work particularly with Amazon and eBay. This is particularly evident when I go from a list the result of a search to an item on the lis. I cannot get back to the list even using the On-page Back arrow. I usually have to repeat the search to get back to the list again.

Safari and eBay/Audible

Anyone else having trouble with eBay (Page not responding messages) and/or Audible (pages never finish loading)? I think the Audible problem started when they redesigned their site. (If it's working, don't mess with it??). I'm not sure about eBay, it seemed to show up with Safari 4, but reverting to 3.2.3 doesn't help. (I used Pacifist and replaced all the 4.0.2 files with the 3.2.3 files, not just the app.)
With eBay I have to be logged in; when I view an item it will start to display and then the page clears to a "Page not responding" message. If I hit the stop (X) button soon enough, I can save the page before it clears.
With Audible I have to sign in, then the home page just keeps loading, and loading, and loading. The "completed xxx of xxx items" just keeps chasing itself with the first number just behind the second as they both increment.
(I've reset Safari.)

I was looking around in the Apple support area and I found a Safari troubleshooting tip suggesting that I create as new account and run Safari from there. Sounded like a good idea as it eliminates any customizations. And I can totally reset Safari in that account without loosing my forms and passwords.
Unfortunately I got the same results; non functioning Audible and eBay.

Attention Apple and Ebay - Safari NEEDS to fixed ASAP

I am getting SOOOOO tired of this. Apple and Ebay need to sit down and figure out these issues. I sent this to Apple and, HOPEFULLY, they will start listening. I just can't deal with this anymore. I can't stand Firefox but I am being forced to use it. Here are the issues I am experiencing that I forwarded to Apple. I am trying to tell ebay, but Live Chat has stopped working, too.
1. To all the people still experiencing the "t" issue in Live Chat....CAPITAL T works fine. You have to look like you are shouting at the ebay rep (and explain why you look that way), but you will be able to type normally with the letter t. I figured this out by accident over a year ago. I keep a text edit file with the explanation as to why I am "screaming" at them because its a paragraph and takes too long to type.
2. Live chat does not work AT ALL. I am never connected to the server. The kicker??? As of last night, it was no longer working in Firefox. So, I am now downloading Camino. Hopefully it works because I need to contact them ASAP (I bought an iMac and the seller is a no show).
3. The following are all ebay (not apple) issues, I am sure:
Playground searching does not work unless you are in the annoying, flash snapshot view.
Sometimes, I will want to search All Categories or Just Comp&Netwrk and it automatically jumps to a specific category no matter what I do.
My feedback rating was 220 and now it reads 219. No, I do not have a negative or neutral (I have 100%) so my rating should not have gone down.
When I tried to pay for an item last night, ebay takes you to a page that says you have to log into Paypal. But when you get there, the Login button is just an IMAGE. I had to go to Firefox to pay.
4. Ebay pages fail to load. I have to keep hitting refresh (sometimes 15-20 x's) to get the auction page to load.
Lots of others are experiencing listing issues. I use GarageSale so this is a non-issue for me. Apple, I love Safari, so much so that I don't even WANT other browsers on my computer, but it is IMPOSSIBLE to use ebay without SEVERAL other browsers. This is ridiculous and unacceptable. We need this FIXED. I have experienced these issues (some longer than others) for over 2 YEARS. Please, meet with ebay and repair the app.

I agree, but it is not just ebay. I do alot of searching and many sites won't connect the first time or i get "can't find the server' but less than a minute later I get it. This should not be and I cannot download the new safari I have 10.4.11 and it won't let me. Also, I can't get me.com or .mac any more directly. I used to, but my mac will not recognize the passwords now or the site. I have to go through the apple site although I have paid through next april. I am ready to scream when I have paid for one of the most expensive home computers out there.

Apple and ebay doesn't get along :(

Hi all,
Is there hostility between Apple and ebay? I love safari but it still does not work properly with ebay and most recently paypal. On ebay's "live help" feature, certain key strokes does not work. And paypal which is owned by ebay, the "next or prev" button is not displayed on the page. I couldn't get to the next page of my account activity listings because this button was missing. If this is not hostility and just a bug, how do I get the good folks at apple to fix this? BTW, firefox is an alternative that works interestingly enough; I'd rather stick with Safari but...

I wish there was a way because then you could perform the experiment. The other way to try it if you have the tech knowledge, is to send your Safari traffic through a proxy and have code in the proxy remove the accept gzip header if the host site is eBay.'

Not sure where this would go but if someone could move this to the right place, I would appreciate it.
How can SAP and EBay be integrated? We are looking to sell some closeout products that we have on EBay and I was able to find a article that talks about the integration but I haven't found anything on how this works.

HT4623 I have just updated my iphone 4 to OS 6.0, but since then I have been unable to access my emails, also facebook and ebay apps are slow to load

I have just updated my iphone 4 to OS 6.0, but since then I can't access my emails as when trying to open a particular email I am presented with a blank screen. Other apps such as facebook and ebay take an absolute age to open.
Is anyone else having problems? what can I do to put it right?

I am having this problem. At first with the new iPhone 5, and then with the iPad 2. I am not sure why this is happening.
My gut feeling is this is an iO6 issue and here's why -
The problem mainly occurs with apps. I have about 150 apps, and when I plugged in the phone, iTunes went to sync all of them. The process would hang up after about 20 - 30 apps were loaded onto the phone. I could tell where about the process hung up because the apps on the phone showed up as "waiting".
Then on the iPad 2 I plugged in to sync and saw there was a huge "Other" component in my storage. It required me to restore the iPad 2 from backup. With this restore the same issues occurred - putting the apps back on the iPad would hang up. The videos on the iPad also got stuck - maybe after about 10 hours of videos transfered iTunes crashed.
My solution has been to soft reset the device, restart Windows, and continue the process until it's complete. This is remarkably inefficient and time-intensive but everything works with patience.
I have been wondering if others have had these same problems.

How do I set up the system to print 4x6 labels via paypal and ebay using a DYMO 4XL Thermal Label Printer (through airport)?

We bought a DYMO Label Writer 4XL. We want to print thermal labels from our Mac and PC, wireless. The good thing is that I already have the printer set in the network and added on each of our computers (Mac and Windows 8). For printing regular labels you can use the Dymo software; for printing postage labels from ebay or paypal has been impossible.
From ebay I even tried one label at the time but still did not work. I sent the the print command from the mac-print-window, changing each of the settings (such as paper size) but did not work. Each time (no matter if you want to print one label only) it advances more than one lable.

Through Paypal is a different story. It should be easy cause it seems the Zebra Driver in Paypal works with this DYMO. The issue is how to get the system to send the print command to the DYMO printer through the Zebra LP2488? please help! I know some people have succeded making all these work. What am I missing?

To whomever is reading this post I just wanted to let you know I returned the Dymo 4XL. Their customer service is horrible. Technical support does not exist at all. The issue was extremely frustrating and time consuming. I do not recommend this thermal printer at all. Good luck finding one... if you do, please share.

Mac OS 10.6.8, Safari 5.1.1, Firefox, Chrome, and ebay

15 Nov 2011: What do they all have in common? None seem to be operating correctly on my computer.
Running Mac OS 10.6.8 on my Macbook Pro, 2.4 Intel Core 2 Duo Laptop. Java update is 1.6.0_29-b11-402 (what ever that means). My primary browser is Safari (ver 5.1.1).
Although I do not believe it is related, I just got my laptop back from the Apple Store with a logic board replacement (NVIDIA 8500 chip problem). I do not know if another updates were pushed during the last three day.
I started my computer and went to eBay.
What I am unable to get to work enlarge photos, use the zoom function, or select the 'payment and shipping options' ( the tab shifts to another page).
I have turned on the javascript bar at the bottom of the page and when trying to select a photo to enlarge I get Run Script ";". Clearing the browser cache does not seem to have any effect, but I also noticed that reseting Safari will not clear my eBay log in session.
Using Firefox and Chrome browsers does not seem to help, same symptoms.
I'm obviously not a IT expert but I venture there must be others out there with the same problem. Does anyone have an idea why this is happening and a procedure to correct?
P.S. Oddly enough, my wife's macbook was just updated to Mac OS 10.6.8. last night. I checked and she is using Safari 5.1.1 and Java 1.6.0_29-b11-402 and NOT having these problems. Puzzled....

That particular Java update has broken MySQL database connections and several Java-powered websites (as opposed to websites that rely on other than "all Java").
I used my CarbonCopyClone to restore to "before the update".
If you cannot, then you need to find applications that are ready for the Java update. I hear-tell that Firefix has or will soon have an update thet can use _29 correctly.

Crossdomain and Flash Player 10

Hello, I've been using the same crossdomain.xml file for
years. Now with the release of flash player 10 my application has
stopped working. All my users on Flash player 9 work just fine, but
for some reason 10 does not.
I have my swf on one domain and I get my data from another
domain; doing so has always forced me to use the crossdomain.xml
file which has worked perfect up until now. I think I need to
change something in the file I'm just not sure what. I've attached
the code that is in my current crossdomain.xml.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

For years I had my crossdomain.xml file at:

This worked up until flash 10. Some new security feature was
added (not sure what or why) and this stopped working. The
solution? I had to add another crossdomain.xml at the root of my
domain:
http://mydomain.com/crossdomain.xml
Again, I don't have documentation to back this up, but for
some reason it worked.
I hope this helps anyone else who has this problem.

Back (or show previous page) button and Ebay....

Hello all. I am having a problem with ebay and the back button on Safari. It started with version 3, and it continues to version 4. When I am looking at an item, if I click the back button, the page just reloads. I have to double click the back button to go to the previous page. I have just noticed this on the ebay site and no others. Any ideas? Thanks for the input.

not a problem with previous 3.32 version, but now i can't get back to the previous page without pressing the back button twice quickly.
if you press it once, it just reloads the same page.
i've reset safari, but nothing fixes it.

Safari and ebay problem again (signing in when already signed in)

Since ebay changes (ebay.co.uk) I have had problems, I can sign in ok but as Im selling when I either try and sell or revise you are faced with a second sign in which just kicks me back to sign in again, I did have problems about a year ago but these were resolved by clearing cashe.
I suspect its something ebay has done as an update as neither safari or firefox works, and yes have cleared cashe.
The only browser that is working is chrome but hate having to juggle 3 browsers as my favourite is safari.
anyone else got this problem or has solved it this time?

Thanks, did the clear cookies, was hoping to avoid that really but it did fix the problem.
Believe it or not have started keeping a list of passwords on paper now as some are lost when i clear the cookies.
It's about time ebay got there act together, most of my other secure sign in websites are ok so why not ebay ahhhh.
It's getting now, if you own a mac you run 3 or 4 browsers, hey at least we aren't troubled with too many viruses!!

Slow or none existent BBC and EBAY

Unable to reliably connect to either BBC or EBAY sites amongst other. It's been like this for over a month, is there any official acknowledgement and or action plan to remedy the problem.
Typically sites come through with missing links like the BBC today

FWIW - Things seem a little more stable today. Ebay and Facebook are working.
