Crystal Report errors when installing visual studio 2010 app

I'm trying to install a Visual Studio 2010 application on two client's machines and I get a different error on each one.  Both errors point to Crystal Reports.
I have a feeling that I'm supposed to install something on the client's machines but I'm not sure what.
The first client's error says that CrystalDecisions.Windows.Form Version 13.0.2000.0 cannot be loaded.
The second client's error says that FlashControlV71. Version 1.0.3187.32366 needs to be installed in the GAC.
What am I supposed to install on the client's machines?  Or if that's not the problem, what is causing the errors?
This is my first visual studio app so I'm a complete newbie.
Thanks for any help or advice.

Thanks for your reply.  I installed the runtime (x64) and am now getting a new error on the first client's machine.  I think it's telling me that I installed the wrong version of the runtime.  The client is running x64t Win 7 so I chose the x64 runtime to install.
System.TypeInitializationException: The type initializer for 'CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument' threw an exception. ---> CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.LoadSaveReportException: An error has occurred while attempting to load the Crystal Reports runtime. Either the Crystal Reports registry key permissions are insufficient, or the Crystal Reports runtime is not installed correctly. Please install the appropriate Crystal Reports redistributable (CRRedist*.msi) containing the correct version of the Crystal Reports runtime (x86, x64, or Itanium) required.  Please go to http://www.businessobjects.com/support for more information.

Thank you for your help.

  • How to Install Visual Studio 2010 on a PC with Microsoft Office 2013 with 64 bits

I am with problems to have acess to the link: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=12187
    Why?
I want do install Visual Studio 2010 on a PC with Microsoft Office 2013 with 64 bits. How can I do it?
    Thanks.

    Hello Carla Sofia,
Visual Studio installation do not depends on Microsoft Office 2013. They do not have relationship here. I think your problem is that you cannot find the link to install Visual Studio 2010.
In order to know why, please see here:
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/lifecycle/search/default.aspx?sort=PN&alpha=Visual%20Studio%202010&Filter=FilterNO
The mainstream support for Visual Studio 2010 is already expired and that is why you cannot open any link about Visual Studio 2010 Setup.(I cannot verify whether that link is about VS2010 Setup.)
I think you need to think about the following:
    1. If you need Visual Studio 2010, you may have to consider some other channels. For example, official site you can try use MSDN Subscription. For non-official site. Sorry I cannot provide any place for you
    2. You can use other latest version of Visual Studio, for example, we have Visual Studio 2012, 2013, 2015 for you to use. You can also use Visual Studio Express 2010 version. It is still available for download.
    Best regards,
    Barry

    Hi,
There is not enough information about the problem. For troubleshooting, I recommend you can use Process Monitor to detect whether there's any process failed.
You can download Process Monitor and see how to use it for troubleshooting in below links:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/939896
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/askperf/archive/2007/06/01/troubleshooting-with-process-monitor.aspx
There are a lot of log entries in Process Monitor, you may filter Visual Studio process only(proces = devenv.exe). And you can upload the logs to OneDrive so that we can investigate them.
Also, you can refer to Gfazil's post in
    https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/vstudio/en-US/96035692-9a50-40d4-a7d3-48bda87d11ec/the-application-was-unable-to-start-correctly-0xc000007b-click-ok-to-close-the-application-when?forum=vssetup
Please try the method he mentioned to see whether the problem can occur:

  • I am having trouble in installing Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate on Windows 7 SP1 x64

    Hi
I am trying to Install VS2010 Ultimate on Windows 7 X64 SP1 Specifically SP1 because before it I am using Windows 7 x64 and VS2010  Ultimate working there excellently. When I try to install it says the Setup file is incompatible with your Windows version
I am surprised by this please reply me as soon as possible
    Thanks in Advance
    Arpit

    Hi Arpit,
    Welcome to the MSDN Forum.
As far as I know, Visual Studio 2010 is compatible with Windows 7 SP1. I think this issue might related with the Visual Studio install media. I recommand you download Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate from
this link, and follow the steps below to install it:
Before install Visual Studio, please finish the steps below first:
    Turn off your anti-virus/antispyware software during installation;
Install the latest Windows updates from the Windows Update site:
    http://update.microsoft.com;
    Complete or dismiss Windows Update before installation. (And don't forget to turn it on later);
    Clean your %temp% folder (Start Menu >> Run >> Type "%temp% >> OK);
Run the setup with Administrator privilege: right-click the installer -> Run as administrator
If the installation still failed, please collect the installation log files from "%temp%" folder with the
    Log Collection Tool.
Send the vslogs.cab file in the %temp% folder to me for further analyze(E-mail: v-anwu_at_microsoft_dot_com). Note: Please attach the link of this post in the mail.
If you have any concerns, please feel free to let me know.
    Best Regards,

    Hi Gopi,
Are you trying to add the hosts to your OEM 12c, and then choosing "Deploy Agent"?
Please check this error message about the image file..
The image file C:\oracle\core\12.1.0.2.0\jdk\bin\java.exe is valid, but is for a
machine type other than the current machine.
    "Validating OMS_HOST & EM_UPLOAD_PORT failed."
If the agents are deployed earlier from another OEM12c server, please undeploy them and then try.
    Thanks,
    Rajiv.

  • Crystal Report Dll problem with Visual Studio 2005

I am using Crystal Reports with Visual Studio 2005. At one time there were two different version of Crystal Decision Dll in Global Assembly Cache (GAC). So I uninstalled both the versions and then only installed 10.2.3600.
I am facing the following error when building my application in visual studio.
    The type 'CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument' exists in both 'c:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET Files\arms website\301a5b02\e03ad7d9\assembly\dl3\c30f5560\00f92427_3857ca01\CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.DLL'
    and
    'c:\WINDOWS\assembly\GAC_MSIL\CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine\10.2.3600.0__692fbea5521e1304\CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.dll'
I have only installed it in .Net Framework. For some reason it appears in the temp folder. I cannot delete it and when I renamed it after the next compile it came back again.
    I would appreciate any help.

    Thanks for the tip.
    I installed CR XI R2 with SP2 and 2.1
There are few reports in the system they use to run fine but now when I try to run them I get the following error:
Failed to open the connection. Details: [Database Vendor Code: 4060 ] Failed to open the connection. C:\DOCUME1\SSheikh\LOCALS1\Temp\ZGA370 {71BFCD35-F652-48C8-896D-B93229A4D2C2}.rpt Details: [Database Vendor Code: 4060 ]
I understand that these reports run ok independently and on production machine as well; however when I try to run them from my development machine I get the above error.
I would appreciate help to resolve this. The code of the report is with report developer and I need to know what settings do I need to change where to be able to run the reports. Also I use my machine for deployment of application on the production server.
    Thanks.

  • Integrating Crystal Report 2008 Developer with Visual Studio 2008 Standard

I have Crystal Reports 2008 Developer version 12.0.0.683 on my computer. I also have Visual Studio 2008 Standard. I know the standard edition of VS 2008 does not have the bundled crystal reports, but since I bought the full version of CR 2008 separately, I figure I should be able to use CR within VS 2008. The problem I am facing is integrating Crystal Reports with Visual Studio, so I can create reports from within visual studio.
Crystal Reports was installed first and then Visual Studio. As per suggestions on this and other forums, I repaired my installation of Crystal Reports, but that did not help. I then ran Visual Studio integration manager, but when I run it, it only detects Visual Studio as the currently installed IDE, but does not detect CR 2008. I downloaded service pack 2 for CR, but have not installed it yet. I do not want to install it if it is not going to help. I would also like to avoid uninstalling my copy of CR if at all possible.
I am a newbie at development in visual studio. Any help will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Rajib

    Don't want to go against what Jason said as it may be correct - if we go strictly by the documentation provided (sorry Jason, Dan says...). However, here is something to try;
Uninstall CR. Look for any left overs; c:\program files\business objects\... and delete all of that.
Look in the registry for HKLM\software\business objects and remove the business objects entry.
    Download CR 2008 from here:
    http://www.sap.com/solutions/sapbusinessobjects/sme/freetrials/index.epx
That is a trial version and I believe it is already at SP 1. Use your keycode to install. Once this is done, you should have the ability to use CR in .NET. I'd recommend you do apply sp 2 now also.

  • Barcode error when using Visual Studio 2008

Hello, I'm opening a crystal report in visual studio 2008 and keep getting UFL 'u25azalea.dll that implements this function is missing
    Error in formula display_string
    'BarcodeC39( ToText(currentFieldValue) )
'u25azalea.dll that implements this function is missing
Any ideas would be really appreciated.
    Thanks

The u25 dll is included with all versions of full Crystal Reports. It is not included with the version that comes with Visual Studio .NET.
I believe if you go to Azalea web site and download the True Type Barcode39 font you will get it on install. Not sure if it will work with VS .NET though but should.
Installing any version of Crystal on your development PC should also make it work.
    Thank you

  • Crystal Report Error when Viewing in VB6

    Post Author: aquiintac
    CA Forum: General
I'm using crystal report and vb6. My first problem was how to change the data source location of the crystal report. I found away by using this: crxReport.Databases.SetDataSource rsReport
but I'm having an exception report : "The exception unknown software exception (0xe0434f4d) occurred in the application at location 0x77e55e02"The report shows for some time but after opening several reports the error message occurs. This is my scenario:"I'm using a udl for my connection. I have two databases namely TK and TK_MCC. TK is for other company and TK_MCC is for the subsidiary company. I used TK database when I created the crystal report. I used the setdatasource to pass the recordset to change the datasource location of the crystal report. So even if they change the database TK to TK_MCC they can still access the report. But when I did the setdatasource there was an exception report. (The exception unknown software exception (0xe0434f4d) occurred in the application at location 0x77e55e02)"Before it was working fine when I don't have to change the database. But when I used crxReport.Database.SetDataSource rsReport this error happened.By the way, i tried it also in another computer (just installed the program) but the error message was different. The other error was error28 out of stack space and sometimes the program closes by itself. Can someone help me on this...Thank you very much.

    Seems to be working now.
    I upgraded CR and adobe.

  • Crystal Report X1 compatibility with Visual Studio 2008

We are migrating an application running on .NET 1.0 to .NET 3.5. Previously Crystal report X1 was working fine with .NET 1.0 however now when it has been migrated to .NET 3.5, we are able to generate crystal report but print and export functionality is not working.
Please confirm if Crystal report X1 is compatible with Visual studio 2008/.NET 3.5? We even updated Release 2 SP4 patch but that didn't solve the problem.
If crystal report X1 is not compatible with Visual studio 2008, which version is compatible so that we can buy the license for the same?
