Hello,
As of CR 2008 we no longer ship the RDC, it was deprecated in CR 9 and for legacy purposes we continued to ship it up to CR XI R2. You can no longer use the RDC or the embedded designer control, it is shipped but for use in the .NET IDE report Designer only. You can not distribute it in your application.
Lots of info on this in forums.
Your only option is to move to our .NET assemblies which can be used in a Managed C++ application.
Thank you

  • Error when running the Crystal Report 9.1 (visual studio 2003) in the deployed server

    Hello,
    1) I am suddenly getting an error message ‘Load Report failed’ in a production server (where the VS2003 application is deployed) when the Crystal Report is executed. This has happened maybe because of the Windows/Crystal Report Updates!
I am able to see the same report perfectly fine in the development computer using VS 2003.
I am using the 9.1 version which is part of the Visual Studio 2003.
The event logs show 'Either the keycode library is not registered or it cannot be loaded ...EventID=10029'. See attached screen shot.
    Please help?
    2) Since I was getting a registration suggestion window  for using Crystal Reports, I registered twice using different email address and it said that it will send me the KeyCode for the Crystal report but after successful registration I never got any keycode but just an email acknowledging the Registration.
I believe the KeyCode is required to use it in the server to execute/run a report.
Can SAP representative email the keycode to my gmail account?
    My product key is:
Please help to resolve both my problems
    Thanks in advance,
    Sanjay Chudasama

If I memory servers, you have to open the Crystal_Regwiz2003.msm in the .NET deployment project. One of the properties of the msm was Keycode (or similar). You entered the keycode here. To find your keycode; in VS2003 IDE, go to the Help | About screen. You will see one of the installed components as Crystal Reports and the keycode will be on the right of that. Copy the keycode from here, paste in the above.
For more details see the article Crystal Reports and Visual Studio .NET - Application Deployment.

  • Crystal report not showing correctly in firefox after windows update

From the past six months, crystal reports has been displayed without the print toolbar and the formatting is completely lost in firefox. Previously we found that when we uninstall the windows updates KB2836942, KB2836943, KB2836946, KB2836947, the problem is resolved. But with more and more windows updates that are automatically updated on the servers, it is getting practically impossible to track which windows update creates the problem. There is absolutely no issue in Chrome, IE and Opera; it is only with firefox that this problem occurs; so we feel it is more of a firefox issue than a windows update problem. It is not just in one machine, but we found the same issue at all our customer's servers (more than 10). The servers are a mix of windows 2008, windows 2012 with iis 7. We also observed the same problem on windows 7 machines. We have been recommending firefox as the best browser for our software to all our customers, and with this problem cropping up, we are badly handicapped. Kindly let us know how to sort this issue. We have provided the link below for your perusal. When you open it in chrome it works fine, but on firefox it does not display correctly:
    http://54.209.141.3/Reports/Report.aspx?reportname=RptProductWiseSalesDetails.rpt&paramlist=@FromDat,01/01/2011;@ToDat,01/26/2014;@BranchSlno,1;@FranchiseSlno,1;@FirstCol,B;@DateType,B;@SaleChannel,A;@ProductTypeSlno,0;@ProductSlno,6;@ColorSlno,0;@FinancierSlno,0;@ChannelTypeSlno,0;@ChannelSlno,0;@SalesPersonSlno,0;@SaleStatus,L;@BillingType,A;@LoginUser,admin;@LoginBranch,Keerthi%20Triumph%20Bangalore;@Franchise,Triumph;@AddCustomerDetail,0;@SaleCodeSuffix,&loadfromsql=0

Those four updates all relate to the .Net framework, and involve how an ASP.Net application recognizes different browsers.

  • Crystal Reports 10 Datasource Location and SQL Query update

I am running Crystal Reports 10 accessing SQL Server 2008 database on Windows 7. Our product changed database names and I'm trying to update reports to point to the new database. Sounds nice and simple. The database has no structure changes yet, it's just a copy and rename of the old database. Both databases exist, same SQL instance, same permissions, etc. ...
    Existing working report:
Has an ODBC (RDO) location to database DbVersion1
If I run Show SQL Query, the database name is in the query text (i.e. FROM DbVersion1.dbo.MyTable)
    Attempted:
In Set Database Location popup, I created a new ODBC (RDO) connection to database DbVersion2
Updated Current Data Source for report to this new ODBC (RDO) connection.
Ran Verify Database. Popup stated "The database is up to date."
But when I run "Show SQL Query", is still shows DbVersion1 in the text, and the report displays data from DbVerison1. When I display the Datasource Location for the report, it shows DbVersion2 as I changed to above. How do I "refresh" the SQL Query to recognize the new Datasource Location?
    Thanks,
    Gary

    Hi Gary,
A possible couple of issues, CR 10 doesn't support SQL Server 2008 and it doesn't support Windows 7. We had to update CR XI R2 SP 6 and above to make SQL 2008 work. MS changed the name of their client dll so CR is not aware of the new drivers.
MDAC native driver may work but not sure....
Try OLE DB, it may work better.
    Thanks

  • Updating the existing Crystal report Visual Studio Restart

    Hi,
i am  using crystal report in my application. Now i want to update some report but when i Change the report like rearrange the field in group the
Visual Studio stop working and Restarted . I am using VS 2012 & the latest version of SAP crystal report CRforVS_13_0_9.
I also try to put the report in another single solution to change the report but it arise the same problem, i try this in VS 2010, VS 2012, VS2013.
i also try to another OS Win Server 2008 -> Win 7,  but not working. Can anyone help me..?

If you have CR from VS 2005 or VS 2008 on this computer, uninstall those. For now, uninstall CRforVS. Search for craxddrt.dll on the whole hard drive. If you find any, delete them. Now reinstall CRforVS.

  • Crystal Reports Server 2008 FP 4.1 Update did not update InfoView/Cmc ?

    Hi all,
last year I installed a Crystal Reports Server 2008. After installation I had the following version numbers:
    Server = 12.3.0
    InfoView/Cmc = 12.1.0
Now I downloaded all packages of service pack 4 and fix pack 4.1 and tried to install them in following order:
Crystal Reports Server 2008 V1 Service Pack 4 for Server Components
Crystal Reports Server 2008 V1 Service Pack 4 for Client Components
Crystal Reports Server 2008 V1 Fix Pack 4.1 for Server Components
Crystal Reports Server 2008 V1 Fix Pack 4.1 for Client Components
The installation of the server components worked fine, however the installation of the client components failed with "Base version mismatch". Now I have these version numbers:
    Server = 12.4.1
    InfoView/Cmc = 12.1.0
Is that the intended behaviour? Is there no need to update InfoView/Cmc too? I know that InfoView did not work with IE 9 before the update, so I hoped to get an update of it.
    Thanks for any info
    Joern

    Hi Joern,
Don't pay attention to the version that you get from infoview or CMC.
It never changes and will always remain 12.1.0
In order to know your BOE version, you can check it in
    CMC > Settings
In the add/remove programs, it lists the version installed
You also have a tool which is software inventory tool which list the version installed.
For clients, if you go in the folder where the .exe is, if you right click on it and select properties then you will get the version number in the version tab
I hope this will help you
    Regards,
    Philippe

  • Need help with Updating Crystal Reports XI Release 2.

I had to reload my Crystal Reports XI Release 2 and I am trying to get the software up to date.  I looked for Service Pack 1 Incremental on the Downloads and it is not available.  I tried downloading Service Pack 2 Incremental and it said I need Service Pack 1.  Is there another alternative step that I need to take?  When I tried doing the Service Pack 2 Full Build, I had to uninstall and reinstall.  Then I was not able to get to the ODBC drivers that I needed to export files.  Please advise to fix my issue.
    Thanks,
    Julie

    Hi Julie,
Download Cr SP 4 full build and then download the [DataDirect ODBC|https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100008666562008E/cr_datadirect53_win32.zip] drivers.
    https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100011802732008E/crxir2_sp4_full_build.exe
    https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100013876392008E/crxir2win_sp5.exe
    https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100015859952009E/crxir2win_sp6.exe
Full builds require an uninstall first much much easier than updating incrementally.
    Thank you

  • BI 4.1 - How do you update a Crystal Report already on server?

We recently upgraded to SAP Business Intelligence 4.1 SP05.  I have saved quite a few reports to the new server and began scheduling them to test how they will perform on the new server.  They were saved by using the CMC - create the folder, right click on the folder, click Add, click Local Document, browse the network to find the Crystal Report to add.
My question is:  Now that they are on the server, how will I update them with any changes that may need to be made to the Crystal Report?
In other words:  So far, I can only find how to add new reports.  How would I update a report that is already out on the server?
Seems like I should have been able to find this somewhere on the internet or users guide, but I just can't seem to find it.  Beginning to feel like I've got the wrong idea on how this all works.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

"Now that they are on the server, how will I update them with any changes that may need to be made to the Crystal Report?" Supposed that you have newer version of Crystal Reports on the DEV environment, you'd need to use Promotion Manager; formerly LCM, to promote the updated version code to the PRODUCTION. Check out the Promotion Manager in the BI4.1 SP05 Administrator guide for detail.  You can find most of BI4.1 documentations on http://help.sap.com/bobip41#section8.
    Hope this helps,

  • How to update SQL Database with totals from Crystal Report

    Hello,
I am converting a Crystal Report done using CR 11 and VB6 to VB.Net and Visual Studio 2010.  The report is now working fairly well but there is 1 last thing to figure out.  In the vb6 version there was a report footer event that I used to update the report totals to a record in a database table.
It appears that in the .net version we have less events to allow outside processing to occure when a report is produced. Looking thru the available events I don't see a way to do this. Would some be so kind as to suggest a way this might be accomplished?
    Thanks,
    Vic

Only thing I can think of is the InProc RAS SDK and using the RowSet Controller to query the footer, then parsing out the info you need to submit to the database.

  • Crystal Report XI not updating correctly within CR Server

Greetings.  I have a report that I have created using Crystal Reports XI.  I then have published it and set it up within Crystal Reports SERVER to automatically run on a daily basis.  The report automatically runs with no errors, however, when you look at the data, it does not reflect the current database - instead shows the data from whever it was published.  Thus, the reports look like they are updated daily, however the information inside shows that they are not.
Any help/tips/advice on what to look for to fix this problem would greatly help!  I'm new to Crystal Reports Server.
    Thanks,
    Pam

I have them set up on the Crystal Reports side, then when I publish them, the database information is "grayed out", so the reports initially don't run once published.  So, I then log into the CMS using the ADMIN password and set the database parameters.  The reports run fine and the data is saved with the report (only if I publish the report with the data saved).  However, the next day (assuming you have daily reoccurence setup), the report is the initially published contents, not the "refresh".
I am probably missing some "simple" step...but being a newbie to this, I'm obviously missing it!  Any advice is greatly appreciated!
