Crystal Reports 9 Export To Excel 2007

Hi All,
We are using Crystal Reports 9 designer in VB6 to create our reports.
When report is generated and siplayed on the screen, the option to export the report to Excel only gives the option of Microsoft Excel 97 - 2000. We are looking to upgrade to Microsoft Office 2007.
Question: Is there any way to update Cyrstal to allow the ability to export the Crystal Report to Excel 2007?
Is there any dll that can be applied to present the Office 2007 export option capability?
I am doing this to determine if Crystal Reports 9 would be able to ulitize Office 2007.

Hello Don,
The problem is that Excel 2007 is not offered as an option to export to to. If we upgrade to Office 2007, we need to be able to select this. The Microsoft 97 - 2000 would not work as Excel would be 2007. We don't want to have to created as Excel 2000 and then have Excel 2007 convert it. We are looking for a way to have Crystal 9 have the ability to export to Excel 2007 directly.
Is there any upgrade to Crystal 9 that would allow Excel 2007 as an export option or would we have to upgrade to a different version of Crystal? We are trying to avoid upgrading Crystal since this would require purchasing multiple developer licenses and the report would have to be recreated using the upgraded version report designer in VB6.

  • Crystal Report:Export to Excel in multiple sheets

    Hi Members,
Does any one know how to export Crystal Report to Excel in multiple sheets in the same Excel workbook.
Suppose I have report grouped by Designation as Managers,Tech Leads,Team Leads,Senior Developers etc. Now I want to export to Excel in multiple sheets as Sheet1-Managers,Sheet2-Tech Leads,-Sheet3-Team Leads,Sheet4-Senior Developers etc.
Is there any possibility in Crystal Report event or CrystReportViewer?
If not then is then workaround to achieve this feature without using Excel COM object.
    Thanks & Regards

  • Crystal Report Export To Excel Error: "Error detected by Export DDL"

I have a windows application in .Net 2003, whenever i export the crystal report on my development machine or other windows xp machines it runs smoothly, but when i deploy the application on client's machine having windows vista installed, it displays error of "Error in file........., Error detected by export DLL"
    pls help me.

First thing to look at is the wiki [What versions of Crystal Reports are supported on Windows Vista in VS .NET?|https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=64259646].
Note that CR 9.1 is not supported on Vista. And if CR 9.1 is not supported on Vista, any earlier version of CR will also not be supported on Vista. That is not to say the app(s) will not work, they may - or not. You never know... and we have no experience with these types of installs as we don't need to have it.
Next, have a look at KBase [1205312 - "Error detected by export DLL" while exporting to Excel after applying SP2 on Windows 2003 Server|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/oss_notes_boj/sdn_oss_boj_bi/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/scn_bosap/notes%7B6163636573733d36393736354636443646363436353344333933393338323636393736354637333631373036453646373436353733354636453735364436323635373233443330333033303331333233303335333333313332%7D.do]. Not exactly the same OS, but I'd follow through on the suggestions in that KB anyhow.
Finally, If this app works on a Vista box when a VB 6 app  is not installed, compare the dlls loaded between that box and the one that has both apps. Use [Modules|https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100006252802008E/modules.zip] to do that.
Other than that, only suggestion I have is to upgrade to a version of CR that does support Vista.

  • Crystal Reports export and print fails with SSL / https but works with http

    Windows 2008 Server, 32-bit (IIS7)
    ASP.NET 2.0
    Ajax 1.0
    Crystal Reports version 10.5.3700.0
    http:  printing works, export works
https:  printing not working, only export to MS Excel and MS Word work.
I am able to generate reports using both http and https, and the toolbar icons are all showing.  However, I am unable to print or export properly with SSL.
Printing prompts me with a select printer window, and then a window 'Retrieving Page 1' follow by two messages from Crystal Print Control both stating:
A communication error occured.  Printing will be stopped.
Exporting generates various errors depending on which export method is being selected (however Excel and Word work over https).
I've found the same problem on this site and other forums, but never a resolution to get exporting and printing to work with SSL.  Will someone please provide me assistance or possibly relay what settings they're using if they have Crystal Reports export or printing working over SSL in IIS7?  Everything works fine when I change the address from https to http.
Please let me know if I can help by providing further information.  We've gone through a great deal of possible solutions with code and I'm currently looking in to IIS settings again.
    Thank you.

Thanks Ludek. I got it by searching KB number.
Unfortunately, it didn’t fix my problem even my IE (IE8 and IE 9) has correct setting.  I double check my version. PrintControl.CAB is version 10.2.0.1146. we use VS 2005 Crystal report and VB .NET. It works fine on HTTP. But when we use HTTPS (SSL Certificate from go daddy).
    1: Crystal report export
Export to MS Excel, Word: pop us “File download”, then click “Save”. It says “Internet Explorer cannot download ReportView.aspx from my site. Internet Explorer was not able to open this internet site. the requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try it again later”
Export to RPt, Rich text format: It says “Internet Explorer cannot download ReportView.aspx from my site. Internet Explorer was not able to open this internet site. the requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try it again later”
Export to PDF : nothing happened.
    2: Print:
Pop up dialog to select printer, click “Print” “. Shows windows “Crystal Report Viewer” and pop us error message box. Title is “Crystal Print Control”. Message is “An communication error occurred. Printing will be stopped”. Click “OK” and pop up error message box again.
    Please advise.
    Thank you very much!

  • Access Report exporting to Excel Horizontally

I've got a rather large report in Access, based on a couple of forms.
When i preview it looks fine, Textboxes are all in order with the make and model then the data in text boxes in a column below.
There are 7 columns of text boxes like this.
When I export to a PDF, it's in the right format, 7 columns next to each other.
When I export to Word and even a text file it works fine.
When I export to Excel, they all go horizontal...textbox name in row 1 and all the data in row 2, clear to column IV and that's it.
    What am I doing wrong?
    Thank you for any help.
    Gee

    Hi Gee,
According to the desription, when the report exported to Excel, the layout is incorrect.
Based on my test, the Access doesn't export the textbox into Excel, it just export the data in the report. Here are the test steps for your reference:
    1. Create a table with some fields in Access 2013
    2. Create a reprot based on the table by default
    3. Export the report to Excel by External data->Export->Excel
Did I misunderstood? Also a demo database to help us reproduce this issue is much appreciate.

  • Hyperion Workspace Financial Reporting Export to Excel Query-Ready Missing

Hyperion Workspace Financial Reporting Export to Excel "Query-Ready" option is Missing in the dropdown when you go to File>Export>Excel
Only the "Fully Formatted" option is available.
From what I recall this option for a "query-ready" export should be available from the HTML preview?
Is there something in configuration that needs to be enabled or something that needs to be checked on to get this option?
    We are running 11.1.1.3
The Query-Ready option is available when exporting forms in Planning.
When opening Financial Reports in Smartview the option for "Query-Ready" is available.
For some reason this is not showing up in workspace, does it not exist in 11.1.1.3? Is this a bug?
    TIA

    Hi,
The option to export the financial report output in "Query-Ready" format is actually at the bottom right hand corner of the report page (look at the report footer) instead of File>Export>Excel.
    Hope this helps

There is no VCL or COM for CR 2008. You will need to move to .NET to use CR 2008 or go back to XI for VCL/RDC.

  • Web report Export to Excel Issue

    Hi,
I've tried to look at one of the issues already logged about the Export to Excel functionality and I was not able to find a solution to my problem.
In my organization we are using BW 3.5. And when I run a web report, and try to export to excel a 15000 line report, I'm always getting only the first 400 or 500 rows. If I go to the last line and try to do the same, I will then get the full report exported to excel.
Any idea why this is happening?
    Thanks,
    JS

Try to run the report using the 0ANALYZER template and see whether you can replicate the issue.  If the behavior is same with 0ANALYZER then it will be a issue with SAP code.

  • Access report export to excel shows =sum() text boxes prefixed with the textbox name

When exporting reports from access to excel the =sum() (group and total sums) text boxes all have the text box name prefixed to them in excel. They look good in access reports. Any way to turn this off? Why is this happening?
I've seen the same issue on 2 computers running Access 2010. I also tried this in access 2013 and had the same issue.
See the images below as examples, the first is from access, the second is the report exported to excel.

    Hi Scott,
Did you use the same database file? May I know how did you create the report and those TextBoxes?
I couldn't reproduce your problem, this is what I did:
Create a sample table and the corresponding report. Group it by one of the field, then give it a footer section. In the footer section I inserted a TextBox and set the ControlSource property to "=Sum([fieldname])". But the name of the TextBox didn't
show in the exported Excel file. Check the screenshots here:

  • SSRS report export to excel

    Hi All,
    I have one developed SSRS report which is a matrix report (having customer name in column area and customer code in row area);
and it is working ok no issue here.
Now I want to do something like :
Is it possible while exporting to excel, I can interchange rows data to columns data and columns data to rows data ? (so that customer name comes in row area; and customer code comes in column area)
Hope question is straight forward and clear.
    Regards

    Hi ,
I have tried to do dynamic grouping based on the Format of rendering, however in dynamic grouping not allowed to use the Global Built-In Fields, Variables, ReportItems collections.
Finally only way left for us to use our classical trick to set the visibility on and off.
This trick can be applied by creating two different Matrix and show one matrix depending on Format rendering.
My trick is to create two groups within the matrix and hide and show one group based on format rendering.
I have created detailed level of post in below link.

  • Ssrs report export to excel along with parameter filters

    HI,
In ssrs reports export to excel along with parameter filters,is it possible or not?
    Could you please help me..
    indu

    Hi Sriindu,
According to your description, you want to export the report into an excel file with the report parameter and filters. And you want to filter data in excel. Right?
In Reporting Services, the components for exporting report into a file called Reporting Services Rendering Extension. There are three types of Reporting Services rendering extensions: Data Render Extension,
Soft page-break renderer extensions, Hard page-break rendering extensions. All these three extension are only for rendering data. It can't keep the filters and parameter in the report. Also excel can't support Reporting Services filter in
an excel file. So your requirement can't be achieved.
