PhotoShop CS5.5: I'm trying to change the color black in a simple, scanned logo to green. I can't get the fill to accept the CMYK formula. Ideas?
Could you post a screenshot of the box where you enter the cmyk formula?

Dear Experts,
I have a scenerio, I created a purchase order with single line item. But I recieve the Invoice with 3 different tax codes for different amounts.
How can I enter multiple Tax codes in MIRO for a single purchase order.

If you have ordered 3 items in your PO for the same vendor with 3 different Tax codes then obviously you have to process the MIRO thrice for each line item and Tax code, since at any given time MIRO can process only One Tax Code at Header Level ( select tax code)

First of all it isn't a unique problem, my colleague has the exact same issue. I'm using Windows 8, he is using OSX 10.9.4 - Mavericks.
So the problem is, the color what the object has is not the same as color picker says.
To reproduce the problem. Create a blank CMYK document. Create a black CMYK: 0,0,0,100 rectangle. Click on the rectangle then double click on the fill color.

As you can see on this picture it says that is has a Purple CMYK: 60,90,0,0 color. Then click OK and suddenly your black rectangle will go going to turn into purple.
So at this point I cannot trust on the CMYK color picker because it gives me the wrong code, so basically I'm unable to work with this software anymore. Thankfully I didn't uninstalled the older version of CC where it works perfectly.
I already reinstalled the CC14 version and it didn't helped.
What can I do?I don't normally chime in as it is not effective, but this might get things going.
It is a bug and it will happen with any one of CMYK colors set at 100% and no other color as the mix, the is 100% Yellow 0 M, 0 C, 0 K for instance will get a blue mix in the color picker. As will 100% Cyn.
Also if you turn any color mix into a cmyk swatch you will not get that color in the color picker as well.
None of he default swatches work as well.
However spot swatches from the swatches libraries seem to work properly. And if you turn a process cmyk swatch into a spot swatch it will display properly in the color picker.
It should be reported here: (if I report it nothing will happen so it is up to you guys to do the reporting or it will remain as such.

How to keep CMYK colors in CMYK in Pages?
I've tried specifying text color using CMYK percentages in Pages, but when I click somewhere else and click back again, the colors have been converted to RGB and back to CMYK again. How can I force Pages to always store colors using CMYK data?
Color management is in the Color Picker. Create a color using the CMYK selector and then drag the color down to the swatches below.
Maintaining a color is not easy but you can create color swatches and reuse those.

My CMYK color codes seem to be off when I print from Illustrator. What could be causing this?
I have been using CMYK codes to print in Illustrator. For some reason, the colors are now printing very dark and a bit off - (ex: Royal blue 100.51.0.0 is printing almost like a violet. It's dark and kind of purple.) I'm printing on a Xerox Phaser 6500 and spoke to their support to make sure that the settings were correct. What should the settings be to ensure that I haven't changed something accidentally or caused this problem?
Are you using a RIP with that Phaser? Or, are you using the Phaser driver? Have you done any Adobe updates recently? What changed since the last time you achieved accurate CMYK prints? What OS are you using? What happens when you print a PDF of the file? Have you tried printing that CMYK combination in other apps? There are a ton of variables that could affect prints. Have you checked the inks? Try running a check on the printer using its utilities.

How do I use Actionmanager code to change just the contents of a line of text?
The quick question - can anyone provide me with Action Manager code that will simply change the contents of a text field in Photoshop CS6?
The long version, if anyone wants to know:
I'm a reasonably experienced Applescripter with hundreds of Illustrator and Photoshop applescripts, but I don't know javascript at all.
I have a script I'm doing currently that just deletes, changes the visibility, and/or changes the text contents of a whole bunch of layers.
It's running just fine in Applescript, except it runs slower than molasses. I went to so much work to automate this stuff - the script's 750 lines with all the logic - and users are telling me that they can do this by hand in the time the script runs. It really does take as long as a minute, which just feels painful. It deletes about 25 layers, changes the text contents of up to 5 layers, and changes the visibility of maybe 2 to 24 layers.
I tested the logic parts and they're near instantaneous. Replacing all of that and just plugging in static dummy values for the variables, and the Photoshop updates yield the same speed. For some reason, just telling Photoshop to do these things - feeding it a list of layers to delete and text to change, just takes it forever. Just a bunch of lines like: delete layer [whatever] of layer [whatever] of layer [whatever] or:
set the contents of text object of art layer "Name" of layer set "Editable Text" of layer set "Header Elements" to "Some Text:" & someVariableText
So I've been taking out the Photoshop calls in Applescript, and replacing them with calls to subroutines that replay Action Manager code I got from Scripting Listener and then plugging in the relevant variables.
So far so good on the deleting layers, that part runs 20x faster now.
On the text layer part - scripting listener records 1,011 lines of code when I change just the contents of a text field.
What's recorded has everything about the appearance baked in. With Applescript, I could set the contents of a text field only, leaving the existing formatting, which was really handy. But if I use a call to my scripting listener code here, I'm going to have to save a different 1,000 line subroutine function for every text style of a text field I want to change, and then the script will be horribly non-future-proof.
Not knowing Javascript, trying to deconstruct the 1,011 line monstrosity Scripting Listener spits out to get to something that just changes the character contents of the text field is not happening. I tried a bit, but it's way over my head.

I'll get it worked into my main script. Is this Action Manager code, and not just regular Javascript from the Scripting Dictionary? I can't tell the difference. I'll see whether or not it's actually faster than Applescript.

I was working on a project and using a shade of Blue(4E76C9). I was last working on the project last night up until 11PM and it was working fine. Today I am putting in the exact same code and it is giving me a shade of purple(6666cc). I have used the Eyedropper tool to select the Blue that I was using but when I go to look at the Swatch it is showing the purple(6666cc). Was there some update to PS over the night that I am not aware of? Is there a way I can get the shade of Blue back that I was previously using. Thanks
Stop relying on hex numbers, which are context-less and meaning-less, literally, and any given hex number can be any color under the sun, depending.
Start working in color spaces, which are absolute and repeatable. A given RGB triplet in a given color space is an actual specific color, which can not be said of a hex number..
Photoshop is a color managed environment and everything revolves around that. Hex numbers are outdated. -

The email address should stay the same, but the code does expire after 24 hours. What you need to do to get it running again is to reprint the email information sheet. hello guys thank you again for the help you provided me with before i bought unlocking code for my xperia VL ( sol21 ) locked to AU from japan and i cant see the box where to enter it when i put a sim card it supposed to ask me for the unlock code but instead it tells me " no sim card could be reconized " how to enter the unlock code ? regards
i put a code *#*#7465625#*#* then you go to network and you get asked to enter the pin code and it is unlocked now but it didn't work on Z1 so i am still on it

Photoshop keeps changing color code
When I open the color picker in photoshop CS4 I enter the color code fd02c5. For some reason it won't let me use that exact color and keeps automatically changing it to d54599. It has done this before with other colors.
How can I get it to use that exact color and stop changing it?Your doc is CMYK and fd02c5 is outside the gamut (available colors) of your CMYK color space. Try working in sRGB or pick a color within the CMYK gamut.

Created file in illustrator then opened in photoshop but color code changed?
I Created file in illustrator and then opened the art in photoshop but the wierd thing is that the color code changed. If you look at the image with you eye the color will look the same to the naked but if you use the eye dripper tool you can see that the color code has changed between illustrator and photoshop.
Is there a way to make the CMYK color code stay the same?In Illustrator the "Edit---> color settings" are set to "North America General Purpose 2" and the that is the same color setting choice in Photoshop.
For example there is a black color in Illustrator that has this CMYK code "60, 49,47, 100"
but in photoshop the CMYK code for the same part of the graphic changes to "75, 68, 67, 90"
This is only one example of many color code changes that are happening and this may look like the same color on the screen but I need them to both have the same code because I am doing specialized printing and need no changes in color codes like this to occur.
If I have the color setting in both photoshop and illustrator both set exactly the same "Edit---> color settings" then do you know why this color shift would be happening. Please help. -

I know if I go to change mode, I can get a code, but I don't
know to change original colors.
And every time when I go back to previous menu, it load color
list again.

most popular themes, as well as browse and search, and copy/paste
Hex values by hitting the # key for the selected theme. You will
need to install the
AIR runtime
first.
