CS5.5 subscription has not offered upgrade to CS6

I purchased a subscription to CS5.5 about 6 months ago on the understanding that my software would always be up to date so how to I get an upgrade to CS6?

You should have received an email about converting to Creative Cloud and CS6. I'm not sure what happened. Please contact our support and they should be able to help you get things sorted out.

    What particular update are you looking for?  For Creative Suite 5 the only updates we are likely to make at this point will be for important security updates.

    This is EXACTLY what happened to me and many others. Tech support returned most of my money but not all of it. Figure that one out! It is clear no music is downloaded (or in queue), it is clear an unknown error message is produced, and it is clear we, the consumer, are still being charged anyway. Will Apple require a credit card from its customers and alienate those that do not wish to use a credit card? Will Apple insult its customers and make silly suggestions such as 'Use an iTunes gift card' in much the same way a forum moderator has already recommended?
    I have an idea: Acknowledge the problem publicly (via email, for example) and fix it in a future update. Customers will be more understanding if they know there is a temporary problem and Apple is working hard to fix it. Oh, and return our money, please!

    I think iCloud isn't coming until this fall and not until iOS 5 is publicly available. Right now there is confusion because all this stuff is still in beta and things are under NDA and may still change.
    I'd just set the 3GS up the same as currently. When iOS 5 is available in the fall (and I don't think Apple has specified beyond "fall"), before you update, there should be any number of guides to setting things up and how it will all work. http://macworld.com is a good place to look for such information.

    To Perform the Erase All Content and Settings directly on the iPad it does not need to be connected to a computer.
    In fact yes, is better if its not connected to one, but simply connected to its charger, and have it plugged in. Erase All content and settings, will not update the iOS.
    If you restore the iPad using iTunes on your computer with the iPad connected, then it will update to iOS 8. Because the restore will place the newest available iOS version supported by the Phone on it.
    Basically disconnect the iPhone, plug it in to its charger, and the charger to the wall, and then on the iPad go to Settings->General->Reset->Erase all Content and Settings.  This will wipe clean the iPhone but will do nothing to the underlying iOS installation.
    Once everything is removed, you can plug it into iTunes and sync your content back.  Do not attempt to restore from backup while connected to iTunes, as it will update the iOS version in the process. Simply sync and you should have no issues.

    The free upgrade offer is for users who purchase(d) CS5.5 Suite or component products through Adobe.com after March 26. Since Photoshop did not have a CS5.5 release (but it did get a 5.1 designation inthe CS5.5 package), I would presume that a purchase of Photoshop CS5.1 on or after March 26 would be eligible.     Note that the offer might not be valid outside the US, however.The FAQ says the offer is also valid for purchases at other resellers, but does not seem to provide details about how to get your coupon. If either of those apples to you, you might want to call customer service for your region.

  • I've got Photoshop CS5 Extended Student and Teacher Edition - Upgrade to CS6 Extended possible?

    Dear ladies and gentlemen,
    I bought Photoshop CS5 Extended Student and Teacher Edition a few years ago. Now I want to upgrade to CS6 Extended. Is there any chance to do this without buying Photoshop CS6 Extended new? I don't want to subscribe to the Creative Cloud. I just want to buy an upgrade. If there is one, please tell me, where I can find it.

    There are no upgrades from educational vesion to educational version at the new version is cheaper than then upgrade price.

  • I wonder why Adobe does not offer upgrades from single products to packages.

    I am strictly a hobbiest with Photoshop, I wish i was going to school to get the school versions but the fact is I am not,
    I purchased my CS5 extended directly from adobe's web site paying full price. I use it almost daily to basicly play, I make things for people in 3d games, I create thing just for the heck of it, i try to do what other people are having issues doing on forums just to see if i can figure it out but mostly I play around and learn. I learn all kind of tricks and wonderfull effects by the real pros. The fine folks That post on these forums and other websites. All thats nice and all but the fact remains I am just a novice artest..  that plays around for the joy of creativity and nothing more.
    Now comes the dilemma, I was thinking about playing around with some of the other products Adobe offers and open up my creativity further. Thinking the master collection would give me access to many many things I have never played with.  Now $2600 is a lot of money to throw at something that well is not my job, i don't make any money on and its strictly a hoby for me, But  hobbies being what they are cost money too so I was considering it none the less since I already put out 1000 on Photoshop.
    The issue is, there is no upgrade path from a single product to a packaged product. So even tho I just paid $1000 for the full version of CS5 extended directly from their website, if I would like to get the master collection, rather then say a $1600 upgrade to master,  I would have to pay the full $2600 price for it. They offered a 15%, $390 discount, Thats nice and all but $390 is $600 short of what I paid for the software to begin with and i really don't need 2 copies of photoshop cs 5 extended. I don't think its transferable the original licence, maybe it is .... anyway.  Adobe keeps very tight reigns on their licencing its not like they could not upgrade or void the original licence and issue a new one for MC especially for online sales.
    Just does not make any sense to me not to offer an upgrade path from individual componants to larger packages.  Even Microsoft has package upgrade paths online so they track the licencing...

    Be aware that if you get a collection, you are locked in to upgrading the entire collection when the time comes, you can't upgrade just one application. I skipped CS3 for that reason (not enough new features in every application), and will likely pass on CS5 (due to the economy).
    In my opinion, the best deal is the Production Premium, if you're willing to give up Dreamweaver (and InDesign, but Illustrator can take care of a lot of that). I personally use the Design Premium collection. I started with the "Creative Suite Premium Collection", but Adobe phased that out, but offered an uprgarde path from that to the Design Premium. I actually received that as a gift, and the person who gave it to me always asks, "Do you use that software a lot? It was expensive, you know."

  • I'm being asked to renew my product when my one year subscription has not expired and won't expire for another 6 months?

    I've got a student version of the creative cloud through my college, which for the life of me, i cannot understand why all my friends never have issues but I always do.
    So I renewed my one year subscription that my college pays for in november. It's april and last week it told me i needed to renew but let me use the products anyway. Today I open it and it says you need to renew. I go to check my dates and that and see if i can get another subscription but adobe tells me I still have a subscription that hasn't expired yet and I can't get a new one until it does. I tried to take the redemption code and use it again but it won't let me because it's already been used.
    It's not my college's problem because they don't deal with anything other than paying the subscription every year, just like a customer. They don't have access to my records or any of that, and therefore can't help me. So what the hell Adobe? Why can't I use my product that hasn't expired?

    I have a monthly subscription (order number 522130019).
    My new minutes have not arrived despite Skype saying that it should renew on October 26th. 
    I am VERY disappointed,  as it is now 27th, and I paid almost £100 for this service.

    Take a look at BBB site. We are not the only clients with support issues. They have cancelled my on-going subscription siting a variety of reasons, over dozens of emails.... from "you cancelled it yourself" to a problem with Pay Pals (which I don't use), to something I entered incorrectly (when I enter nothing: it is a Skype-generated billing request directly to my card that worked successfully for months), to a problem with the relationship with my card carrier (card carrier has given excellent support - nothing changed with them,they just did not receive the request for payment from Skype for last month). Skype wants me to apply for a new subscription (at higher rate). All well and good except how would a new subscription work when whatever went wrong with the old one was not fixed. I get no indication anyone is actually reading my emails for content. I get no idea anyone is actually trying to determine what has gone wrong. The only clear response I have received is to buy another subscription.

  • I upgraded IClick DVD Copy, but it will not work with Firefox. It has not been upgraded since I have been with firefox. Is there anything I can do?

    I went to use 1 Click DVD Copy and there was an upgrade, so I went to the web site and downloaded the new version. After it was downloaded, I tried to use it; however, the disk to click to copy CD's was distorted and messed up my desktop. I did not have this problem the last time I did this when I was not with Firefox.

    Regarding your subscription minutes, please refer to the personal message I sent you. You can find the link to your mailbox on the top right of the community.
    Subscription minutes will reset based on the initial purchase date and time which is GMT based.
    For example, if you purchase a Germany 400 minutes subscription on the 15th at 15.00 GMT, then your recurring payment will be taken on the 12th and the minutes reset on the 15th of the following month at 15.00 GMT.
    You can check when (exact date and time) your minutes will be reset from your order details.
    1. Go to https://secure.skype.com/account/purchase/history/orders
    2. Find the first order for your subscription (not the recurring payment)
    3. Click the order ID. The transaction date shows when your subscription was purchased.
