  • Urgent CSS issue in Safari! LIVE site *****

    A site I recently wrapped up was working great in all
    browsers, and for some reason I hopped on Safari today and noticed
    it's not formatting right at all! I'm not sure where the issue is
    as it was hunkey dorey before, and am hoping somebody on here might
    know so I can fix it quickly before there are complaints from
    people browsing to the site.
    http://www.mackinnonicehorse.com
    Anybody have any ideas? If you look at it in other browsers
    you'll see how the navigation should be, and there are some other
    small CSS issues in Safari that I'm seeing. It was working fine
    though… ideas? Please help!

    Never mind… there was ONE little mistake in my
    stylesheet that I fixed and BAM - everything back to normal.

  • Hierarchy Viewer CSS issue

    Hi,
    I have a Fusion Web Application in Jdeveloper 12C that gets the colors and skinning from a CSS file.
    When i add:
    af|dvt-hierarchyViewer
        background-image: -webkit-linear-gradient(bottom, #FFFFFF 0%, #000000 300%);
        background-color: currentColor;
        background-attachment: scroll;
    to my CSS file and run my application, the Hierarchy opens with a grey colour but then it flashes back to the default light blue gradient of fusionFx-simple-v2.desktop as soon as it tries to fetch data.
    But if i change these settings on the Hierarchy itself, the colour changes to the grey and it stays grey.
    Any help with this will be appreciated

  • Firefox 3 CSS issues.

    Hello,
    We haven't seen any big issues either with the Firefox 3 beta's or Firefox 3 but now that FF 3 is out in the wild and no longer beta there are many more people using it. If you see any strange new CSS issue , in the Application Builder , SQL Workshop .. etc. I'd be much obliged if you posted it here.
    Here is a good example http://oracleinsights.blogspot.com/2008/06/oracle-apex-builder-css-fix-for.html even though Mark went so far as to figure out the fix , thanks Mark , don't feel the need to do that just a quick post on the page and/or circumstance you saw it would be great.

    Hi
    I'm currently redoing an HTML website in CSS within

    It¹s at

    I¹ve got around it by putting line spacing in above the

  • ADA Fixes for Robohelp: Frames & CSS Issues

    Fellow Robohelpers:
    I am attempting to resolve a set of major issues within Robohelp 8
    a) Frames are not properly named in Robohelp 8. Is anyone aware with which files to change (post generation or pre-generation of outputs) to rename Frames so the visually impaired user is clearly informed which frame they are on
    b)When you disable CSS, the navigational elements (frames) become a jumble. They do not function correctly (TOC, Index, Search) since Robohelp is heavily CSS dependent and hides objects (text fields, the various left hand navigational elments) behind CSS.
    Any reccomendations how to resolve these, or insights as to how to make Adobe aware of this! I have been reaching out to them about this for quite some time! I am hoping capturing a workaround for at least a) will make the tool one step closer to ADA compliance (screen reader compliance)
    Thanks
    Yaseen

    Hi,
    I guess your output is WebHelp. First, try to create 'Section 508 compliant' output or pure HTML output. This may solve quite a bit of your problems.
    If you don't want that output, this is what I think:
    a) RH nests a lot of frames, but start looking at the launch file, the csh.htm file, whskinfrmset01.htm and whskin_frmset010.htm. Note that if you change the names of frames, this may cause some scripts to stop functioning...
    b) As for the CSS issues, the only way to make that work is to manually sort out all problems and amend the javascripts.
    If you want to let Adobe know your wish, use the wish form: https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform&product=38

  • Background image seems to be applied twice Can someone help with this CSS issue....

    Can someone help with this CSS issue....
    http://66.162.81.144/cms400min/default.aspx
    If you view the main page you will see that our background is
    2 shades of
    orange.. if you look at the line that divides those colors to
    the right and
    left you wil notice that the line is higher
    if you notice that it seems that there is another background
    on top of the
    first one..its the only thing i can think of..
    the only place where the image is being referenced is in this
    CSS style
    html, body
    min-height:100%;
    margin-bottom:1px;
    text-align:center;
    background-repeat:no-repeat;
    background-image:url(images/Background-Color2.jpg);
    background-color:#F74902;
    background-position:center;
    background-attachment:fixed;
    Is there something wrong with the above CSS that could or
    would cause this?
    is it because im applying the image to both the HTML and
    BODY?
    ASP, SQL2005, DW8 VBScript, Visual Studio 2005, Visual Studio
    2008

    You've attached the background to both the html and the body.
    I would do this:
    html, body {
    min-height:100%;
    margin-bottom:1px;
    body{
    text-align:center;
    background-repeat:no-repeat;
    background-image:url(images/Background-Color2.jpg);
    background-color:#F74902;
    background-position:center;
    background-attachment:fixed;
    Having said that the image doesn't look any higher on the
    right than the
    left to me in Firefox. Is it just an optical illusion?

  • Stuck on few CSS issues mid-build

    Hi all,
    Spend the last week making some good progress with a website build, but I’ve hit a few stumbling blocks I hoped the CSS pros out there might be able to help with please!
    <div id="body_container">
    I’ve tried setting this div’s height to 100% so it expands accordingly (set to 800px right now), but when I do this it ‘disappears’ from view – i.e. the background colour vanishes and all its contents appear on a white background which is applied to the #body_container_fullwidth. Any ideas what I’m doing wrong?
    <div id="left_content">
    Why isn’t this expanding in height to accommodate the youtube video? It’s height is set to 100%.
    <hr class="leftcontent1"></hr>
    I’m seeing this in Dreamweaver but not in FF or IE preview. Any ideas?
    <img class="rightbutton" src="Images/right_button.png" width="24" height="24" alt="More" />
    I’ve put this image in the <div id="right_content_greystrip"> container but it’s appearing below and I can’t work out why?
    Sorry it’s quite a few issues all at once – I’ve been over each time and time again but am thoroughly stuck!
    Thanks in advance guys

    Hi osgood_,
    Thanks so much for your generous help - this was hugely useful and much appreciated. I also managed to fix my top query via your overflow: hidden; suggestion too.
    Everything's looking great with the exception of my little ../Images/right_button.png image which isn't showing up for some reason - I ideally want it to be flush over on the right of that greystrip - any ideas?
    Thanks again

  • HTML+CSS Issue

    Hi there,
    I am not sure if my question can be answered here, but here's what's happening:
    I have a blog on my page that's hosted by Zenfolio, and they don't support this, yet its their interface doing this and not me. Whenever I insert a new image, and click next to it and then "enter" to make a new paragraph below for text or another image it is adding unwanted paragraphs! In the photo below there should be one paragraph and not 8.
    I used to have this happen to me in Dreamweaver rarely, but I was able to go in HTML view and simply delete the extra paragraphs without altering the rest of the layout. If I go in HTML view in that interface it will not just delete those paragraphs, but would mangle up everything....see the other screen shot: It is moving the text around the image which is not what I want.
    This interface I am typing now is very similar with the one from Zenfolio, here too I inserted these photos, and had to click next to them + enter to go down to the next paragraph, and when I looked at the HTML there was only one paragraph spacing between the images as it should be; so the question is why is it doing this and how do I stop it!? I rather not use tables. (Which was their suggestion, and which has also a spacing problem; I set the height of the cell to 22 for example and when previewing the post its at least 60).

    Hi,
    I don't have that option...this is what I have there: They don't allow many options apparently on the posts; I can't change the margin either, and its set to like 45 or something...really far from the side of the page. I can customize the CSS for the rest of the page, but not the blog part. I have an issue with the text size too because it makes it 1.36% larger by default, and whenever I change that it won't remember it as I continue on the same line. I set the size at 12, and after I put a period, and continue on the same line it blows the text again at 16.
    I emailed them about it...that interface also doesn't correct spellings; it underlines them but not offers the correction, it offers me to paste from word...which is very annoying.
    Thank you,

  • CSS Issues appearing in IE8 Only

    Hi,
    I'm using RH7, and I've recently discovered that my 123, bullets, and ABC styles in my webhelp project aren't appearing properly in IE8. They appear fine in Firefox and IE7 and in the WYSIWYG editor, just not in IE8 when the help has been deployed to the server. To further complicate the situation, when I view the generated help in IE8 on my drive, everything appears correctly. It's just when viewing the help on the server in IE8 that these issues are occurring.
    This is what's happening:
    - Bulleted lists within numbered steps are appearing "hollow". I've checked that "list-style: disc;" is specified in the CSS in both the LI and P definitions.
    - Numbered steps are appearing larger than they should be.
    - ABC substeps within numbered steps are appearing as 123.
    I experienced similar issues when upgrading to RH8 (we've since rolled back to 7). However, the difference with the RH8 issues is that they were occuring across all browsers, and could be viewed in the generated output on my drive. As mentioned, this only occurs in IE8 when viewing the help on the server.
    This is what's specified in the CSS:
    Bullet style:
    P.BulletedStep {
    color: #000000;
    list-style: disc;
    LI.P-BulletedStep {
    color: #000000;
    list-style: disc;
    Numbered Style:
    P.NumberedStep {
    color: #000000;
    font-size: 10pt;
    list-style: decimal;
    LI.P-NumberedStep {
    color: #000000;
    font-size: 10pt;
    list-style: decimal;
    ABC Style:
    P.NumberedStepABC {
    list-style: lower-alpha;
    LI.P-NumberedStepABC {
    list-style: lower-alpha;
    Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

    Thank you Peter and Willam for your responses, and sorry for my delay in replying.
    The help was recently moved to another server where I FTP the files up myself. This has resolved the issue, so you were both correct that the version of the CSS on the old server was not the same as the one on my drive. I guess it was a silly question, as it seems so obvious now with both your responses and the solution in place.
    Regardless, thanks for your help. Always appreciated.

    ok, im quite supprised at that, beacause in my FF and Opera
    whats meant to be the left column (pink rollover links) appear
    across the whole screen on top, whereas in IE they sit neatly to
    the left.

  • CSS issues....get Javascript error on click event

    Trying to finish up this navbar. Got it where my navigation works pretty much great. However, the code I expected to work when I fire a click event on the logo (represnted currently by a gray circle) causes a 'Javascript error in event handler! Event Type = element' error instead. Not sure why. I know I had an issue with one of my button references (spelling issue) but beyond that, everything seems to be in order.
    This is the code I'm using. The first five lines work right. The second series does not.
    sym.getSymbol("btnVision").$("back").css({opacity: 0})
    sym.getSymbol("btnIndustires").$("back").css({opacity: 1})
    sym.getSymbol("btnResp").$("back").css({opacity: 1})
    sym.getSymbol("btnCommunity").$("back").css({opacity: 1})
    sym.getSymbol("btnDiscovery").$("back").css({opacity: 1})
    var stage = sym.getComposition().getStage()
    stage.$("navVision").css({top: 65});
    stage.$("navIndustries").css({top: 65});
    stage.$("navResp").css({top: 65});
    stage.$("navCommunity").css({top: 65});
    stage.$("navDiscovery").css({top: 65});
    I should mentioned I tried sym.getSymbol for the bottom entries but that simply produced the same exact error. Sign.
    Anyone know what might be causing this? It doesn't seem to make sense to me. Here's the files.

    Hi ladobeugm,
    The error message is rather cryptic, but this occurs when trying to access something not defined, as you already experienced with your misspelling.
    You should use Firebug to localize the error via step by step execution. There is a Scripts tab. In its menu, select <youProject>Actions.js. Then, define a breakpoint by clicking in the line number of statement var stage= etc. In the Spies area, you can look for the offending statement by monitoring variable values.

    Experiment. For example, use the cfprocessingdirective tag  to suppress any white space Coldfusion may cause
    <cfprocessingdirective suppressWhiteSpace = "Yes">

  • CSS Issue in Safari

    Hello there and hi fellow MAC users, in particular!
    I’m saying this because I’m dealing with an issue
    that seems to be exclusive to Apple’s Safari browser.
    I’m currently working on a site that makes quite some use of
    CSS. Unfortunately, the “bodytext” style in the
    inner-page won’t display properly in Safari although it
    displays fine in IE, Fire Fox, etc.
    You can review the page in question at
    www.fastventures.com/eco/temp_sec.html
    Please help. Any ideas and suggestions would really be
    appreciated! Thanks a million!

    We figured it out. It was a sloppy line of code in the CSS.
    Thanks anyways!

  • CSS Issues

    Hi,
    been fiddling a little with javaFx, having fun, but I am seeing some unexpected behaviour:
    * someObject.getStyleClass().remove("A class') has no effect on the rendering of that object, e.g. the associated style settings are not discarded at all when removing the style class.
    * For Labels: When adding a scale hover effect (using setOnMouseEntered and setOnMouseExited) the scaling of the text contained in the label only occurs the first time, the subsequent times the label resizes but the text size remains the same
    -> label.setScaleX(1.5) on enter, label.setScaleY(1.0) on exit....

    For the first issue, there is a bug in JIRA that addresses this (JIRA is down at the moment, so I can't tell you which). Basically, when you remove a style class, the defaults are not restored to the node before CSS is reapplied. As a workaround, you can create styles that have the defaults that you want so that when you remove one style class the other will completely restyle the node.
    On the scaling issue, that sounds like a bug. Or it might be that CSS is styling the font as a result of the hover. You can look in caspian.css (extract it from jfxrt.jar) to see the styles on .label. You might try scaling via CSS:
    .label:hover { -fx-scale-x: 150%; }
