CSS link rel statements appear as comments. Not referenced. Help?

My CSS link rel statements appear as comments and are not referenced by the web page locally.

I have a new computer (windows 8 which I've learned to love... durress works miracles). I also had to switch to a designated server from a shared server, at the same time so several variables.
When I created this site on my new computer I first created the site within Dreamweaver and then I opened the remote site and downloaded it's entirety to my hard drive. I've somehow created the problem in this process.
The problem is in how the style sheets are directed. None of the original style sheets show up in the CSS Styles Panel, in either the all or the current tab. However when I open a page the style sheet titles all appear in the menu bar above the page (as short cut icons) and I can select/open them but get a note that the css file is a remote file and cannot be edited. When I hover over the shortcut icon in the menu bar the directory path appears as http://cafetablesserver.newhostingaccount.net/PDGCommTemplates/HTN/css/newmain.css
I can open the css files locally in the file manager and I can create new css files. The remote site is functioning.... however, my nameservers are not yet directed at it and I have had to change my host file to view it.
So what I need to know is how do I direct the local pages to reference a local css page on my hard drive? I need the path to be C:/..../..../webpagename/httpdocs/PDGCommTemplates/HTN/css/newmain.css
The root directory is httpdocs
I ran this site no problem on my old computer as a document root site. I've only changed the computer and the server. Thanks for your help

I may not have been clear in original post. The only time the http:// or the C:// prefix is present is when I hover over the file names in the menu bar above the open web page. I have not enterred them as such.
The link rel comment is currently written as link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="/PDGCommTemplates/HTN/css/newmain.css
My current file tree is as follows:
httpdocs
-/PDGCommTemplates/
     -/HTN/
          -/css/
               -newmain.css
          -home.html
Is the link rel comment above wrong? Do I need to move my html files into the root directory? They are currently in the sub sub folder /HTN/

CSS Image Swap Conundrum Link Rel

Hi. I apologise in advance for the length of the post. It's probably very simple for you, but it's killin' me.

I've been experimenting with two ideas that are conflicting with one another.
The first is that I wanted to integrate my wordpress-based blog into my site so they look/feel the same. I did this by using a php include in the index page of the blog which reads in the sidemenu of my main site sidemenu.shtml. Seemed to work OK, BUT in order to have the menu look/feel correct it has to read the style sheet from the main site, default.css. So I guess I 'cheated' by adding a <head> statement to sidemenu.shtml like so:

</head>
...note that it reads in the full path of the style sheet, since the wordpress blog 'lives' in another folder. (I made various attempts at including the style sheet into the blog as a whole but they were disasters. The selector names and ids conflict and it's a MESS.
As I said that works. Now the second issue:
Also on sidemenu.shtml is the top site graphic JCHMusic. There are actually two graphics, JCHMusic for when the user is at the main page and JCHMusic+themusicofjcharris which displays when the user is at any other page. The 1st is hidden in the default style sheet using display:none. When the user is at the main page, the 2nd graphic is hidden using a local stylesheet which reverses the display property. Works fine.
EXCEPT THAT, there is something about having that extra head in sidemenu.shtml that prevents the image swap from working.
IOW: if I remove those 3 lines from sidemenu.shtml, the image swap occurs as expected. But of course, when I do that, it destroys the look of the menu when the user selects the blog.
Can I have my cake and eat it too?

Parent level pages must contain only one set of the following:
1) Valid Document Type
2) Hhtml tags
3) Head tags
4) Body tags
Server-Side includes are nothing more than snippets of reusable HTML code. Most often we use them for shared page elements such as headers, footers and menus. No great mystery to using them really.

SSIs cannot contain any of the above mentioned HTML tags as they already exist on the parent page. If you put additional <head> tags into your include files, this will result in duplicate <head> tags in the parent page once content is parsed by the server. You don't want this to happen. Incidentally, code errors (even small ones caused by YouTube and Amazon code) can cause browser rendering issues. All code errors can and should be fixed.
Finally, If you want to reference an external stylesheet that is currently outside your WP folder, copy the CSS file to your WP folder and put your external stylesheet link inside the WP Parent page; not in the include file.

Some CSS Links not displaying correctly

Hi folks,
I've been building a new site, but am having problems with some of the CSS links.
The normal links are working fine.
However, I've created a class that should display some of the links in bold - but it doesn't work!
This is the CSS:

Comment note icon doesn't appear on underlined texts

Hi, I have been using Abobe Acrobat 9 Pro for some years now. Whenever I try to add a text note to underlined text there used to be a small icon appear on the top of underlined text indicating that underlined text has a comment attached to it.
Now ever since I have installed Adobe Acrobat XI Pro on Windows 8, the small comment note icon on underlined text doesn't appear anymore and this means that all the documents that I have created in Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 won't show that in XI edition of Acrobat.
Instead, Acrobat XI Pro shows the comment note icon on highlighted text but not on the underlined line. So, How can I know if the underlined text has a comment if the icon doesn't appear over it? What can I do to solve this issue to continue using the product with the older document on which I have worked in Acrobat 9 Pro?

It doesn't help with comment icon so I'll try to be more clear as possible on issue:
As you can see, the yellow comment icon appears on the top of the highlighted line on the left but on the right where I underlined the text and added a comment, it doesn't show any icon indication so there's no way I can know if it has a comment on it unless I hover mouse cursor over it.

I have a problem with my Template as I keep receiving this message in DW CS6; Template is nested inside itself? All my other pages linked to the Template is also not working fine. I tried to us the answer in this forum, but its not working

The following line tells me that this is not a template file, but a document created from a template called index.dwt
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
This means that you saved a child document as a template file at some stage.
If you go to Modify->Templates->Detach from Template, you can remove the template structure from your document. All you then need to do is to re-save the document as a template.

Resize/re-scale & optimize all images for the web in your graphics editor before you insert them into your web pages. Saves bandwidth and reduces page load.
Cycle2 is a responsive slideshow. If you want all images to remain 400px and not responsive to layout, you'll need to modify the CSS code a little.

I understand that the wwv_setting.generate_css_link API will generate the css link to a given stylesheet
e.g.
<LINK REL=Stylesheet TYPE="text/css" HREF="http://EXDL5.123.co.uk:7778/pls/portal/PORTAL.wwv_setting.render_css?p_lang_type=NOBIDI&p_subscriberid=1&p_styleid=1&p_siteid=0&p_rctx=P">
This api requires (amonst others) the following parameters
p_styleid and p_siteid.
Does anybody know how to derive the current style id and site id values - so that I can pass them through to this API?
I am doing this because I am generating html on the fly and I want the generated html document to appear in a popup window and inherit the same look and feel as the portlet from which it was invoked.

Seemed fine to me on a PC using FF 2.0 Beta 1 and IE6.

I have a new hard drive as my old one crashed. Everything seemed to transfer fine except for my entire iTunes library. It shows all of my old songs, but when I click on one it states "the song could not be used as the original file could not be found

I have a new hard drive as my old one crashed. Everything seemed to transfer fine except for my entire iTunes library. It shows all of my old songs, but when I click on one it states "the song could not be used as the original file could not be found.would you like to locate it".
Either how do I locate it, and I've tried every trick I know, or how do I restore all of my songs from one of two sources. I have my old hard drive backedup on an external drive which should have all of my songs, and I have most of my songs on my old iPhone 3S which I'm using as a backup iPod.

The "missing file" error happens if the file is no longer where iTunes expects to find it. Possible causes are that you or some third party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, one of its parent folders, or the drive it lives on has had a change of drive letter. It is also possible that iTunes has changed from expecting the files to be in the pre-iTunes 9 layout to post-iTunes 9 layout, or vice-versa, and so is looking in slightly the wrong place. In the case of a library moved from one system to another there are also potential permissions issues. See Repair security permissions for iTunes for Windows.
Select a track with an exclamation mark, use Ctrl-I to Get Info, then click No when asked to try to locate the track. (Due to a bug in iTunes 12 you currently have to say No twice!) Look on the summary tab for the location that iTunes thinks the file should be. Now take a look around your hard drive(s). Hopefully you can locate the track in question. If a section of your library has simply been moved, a folder renamed, or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse the actions. If the difference between the two paths is an additional Music folder in one path then this is a layout issue. I can explain further if that is the case.
In some cases iTunes may be able to repair itself if you go through the same steps with Get Info but this time click Locate and browse to the lost track. It may then offer to attempt to automatically fix other broken links.
If another application like Windows Media Player has moved/renamed the files then the chances are that subtle differences in naming strategies will make it hard to restore the media to the precise path that iTunes is expecting. In such cases, as long as the missing files can be found somewhere, you should be able to use my FindTracks script to reconnect them to iTunes. See this post for an explanation of how it works.

The Help Link from the Application Pages Does not Work for Peoplesoft Campus Solutions 9.0

I have a problem, I have been trying to set up the Help Link from the Application Pages for Peoplesoft Campus Solutions 9.0 according to the instructions given in the Document: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17566_01/epm91pbr0/eng/psbooks/EnablingtheHelpLinkfromApplicationPages.pdf , (referenced in the Doc ID 1289101.1, E-PB: How to Set Up the Context Sensitive Help with Hosted PeopleBooks using Universal Linking).
I follow the instructions of that document carefully:
I go to: PeopleTools -> Web Profile -> Web Profile Configuration
    2. Then I choose the Web Profile: "Development".
    3. Then Change the value for the Help URL field by entering the following URL format: http://www.oracle.com/pls/topic/lookup?id=%CONTEXT_ID%&ctx=hrcs90r5 , the ctx parameter selected is the one that correspond to the Campus Solutions (hrcs90r5) according to the Product Line Code Table (ULinkID) especified in the mentioned document.
    4. Stop the Web Domain and Clear cache.
    5. Start the Web Domain again.
After setting up the Web Profile Configuration I test the help links, thas is why I click in the Help link in any Peoplesoft CS 9.0 Application Page (modify a person), but the next error message appears: "We're sorry, the topic you requested was not found.".
I tried many combinations with the ctx parameters URL but it does not work yet.
I did the same test, but this time using the Help URL field with a HRMS ctx parameter by entering the following URL format: http://www.oracle.com/pls/topic/lookup?id=%CONTEXT_ID%&ctx=hcm92pbr5 , and It works fine !!!
According to the previous test you realize that It works with HRMS ctx parameter but not with Campus Solutions 9.0 ctx parameter, Does anybody know what else can I do ? Am I doing anything wrong or missing? or maybe the Oracle's ctx parameter for Campus Solutions URL It is broken simply.

2799444 - The page you are testing with appears to be a Workforce Administration page. Is that correct?
The CS PeopleBooks would only work for CS pages, e.g.: try navigating to Main Menu > Campus Community > Personal Information > Add/Update a Person
Also, you can use multiple ctx parameters:
E.g.: http://www.oracle.com/pls/topic/lookup?id=%CONTEXT_ID%&ctx=hrcs90r5&ctx=hcm92pbr5&ctx=pt852pbh2
This way the help would work for the HR related pages like Workforce Administration, Campus Solutions pages like Campus Community and also PeopleTools pages like Web Profile Configuration. Hope this clarifies your question. Thanks!

You could be right that the response to clicking on help is a symptom of an entirely separate issue, but nevertheless the secure link to itunes is definitely failed, and I am unable to log into Itunes on either PC.
I also noticed that even if I click on the link to create a whole new Apple ID, I cannot do that either, presumably because the secure link is not working.
After I noticed that there were weird things happening this morning, I did change my Apple ID password in the hope that this might resolve it, but it seemed to make it worse. Now, all of my apple devices keep constantly prompting me for the apple ID password, and randomly either accepting it, or telling me it is wrong. I know the password is correct because I can log onto the apple Manage My Apple ID screens in a web browser with it.
I was starting to think that this is an ISP issue (BT Broadband), but I have not seen anyone else posting with the same issue. Does Apple use a different security protocol to everyone else? I'm asking because all other secure services seem to be working fine, but anything related to apple that requires a secure connection or authentication is having issues.
I have also seen reference to making sure that Itunes is listed as an allowed program in Windows Firewall. I cannot seem to do this because it says that my Windows firewall is being managed by McCafee. I have checked the settings in McCafee, and it appears to me that Itunes, Bonjour, and many other apple programs have been granted "Full" access. As said before in any case I have tried temporarily disabling the firewall and even this did not solve the problem.

Data Appearing as Comments

We have forms created in Acrobat 9 Pro that have worked for almost a year. Today completed forms started showing up with the information in the fields appearing as comments. We need this information to appear in the field itself so the form can be printed with the information visible. Can I stop the fields from appearing as comments? Anyway to convert the comments into completed fields?

Is this happening with all forms that are returned? It could be the users aren't using the form fields and adding comments instead. The new EchoSign functionality actually encourages this, but it can be avoided by Reader-enabling the document and/or securing it so that form filling is allowed but not commenting.

When I click certain links on certain pages they will not load.

I run across a website every few days that has links I am trying to click and they do nothing. I have to use a different browser to access them.
For example : www.retailmenot.com I click coupon links in there and nothing happens.

when i connect my mobile with pc companion there's a update of 15.3.A.1.12 for Xperia L. But as usual for all user the update from pc companion becomes very slow while the update from update center from mobile means wireless update is comfortable and fast. But there is no update (15.3.A.1.12) seen in update center.
and as in the following link (of sony) its still showing 15.3.A.0.26..
Can you say how long will it take for the update (15.3.A.1.12) to come to the update center (wireless update) ?
and is the update 15.3.A.1.12 officially out..and if no how much time it will take?
