CSS Problems: Extra "margin-left: 8px" being added to bold face command.

I'm having a unique and frustrating problem with a RoboHelp project.
When I apply Bold face to text in a numbered or bulleted text, RoboHelp applies the following code: <span style="margin-left: 8px; font-weight: bold;">
I cannot understand why the style="margin-left: 8px clause is inserted into the code.  It's causing a large amount of white space before and after every bolded item, and fixing it manually is not a great option for various reasons.
When I apply Bold face to text outside of lists, the style="margin-left: 8px clause is not inserted.
When I click the Bold button (or press Ctrl+B) on selected text, I'd like RoboHelp to add the minimal code necssary: <span style="font-weight: bold;">
Does anyone know how I can fix this?
Notes: I inhertied this project with multiple style sheets, including old .kadov styles and at least seven CSS files. I condensed this down to one CSS file and tried to clean up the file as much as possible. I'm using RoboHelp 8.0.2.

  • Problems viewing Master Template after being added

    Hello,
    I am having an issue viewing a motion template after I have inserted it into my sequence,
    I choose "Add master template..." from the Sequence menu, select one, and then click insert. The template appears directly in my time line and the viewer shows the parameters that I can adjust. I click to play the template and all I see is black and not the sequence.
    It has an orange line over it in the time line, but even if I render it, when I press play in the timeline or canvas or even the viewer the template/movie will play, but it is a blank black screen.
    In the canvas there is a blue/green line around the screen.
    Any thoughts on something I am missing here? I would imagine I am making a newbie mistake.
    Thanks in advance for any help on this.

    I was on 6.0.1 with 10.5.1 and the issue went away when I upgraded to 6.0.4 and 10.5.4. This is because they made changes to the Motion integration in 6.0.2. It's worth noting that the feature is still not 100% stable in current versions and will still occasionally crash.
    You can get the update manually here (you will need your FCS serial number at hand):
    http://www.apple.com/finalcutstudio/download/
    It's actually better to download the update manually because Apple deletes old updates whenever a new one comes out, so it's worth keeping a stable copy on your system just in case.
    You will probably need to update QuickTime too, in which case QT 7.5.5 is recommended as people have been experiencing problems with QT 7.6. You can get old versions here:

  • Sync Space Problems as removed apps being added back

    I had a problem with the original laptop in which I had itunes on so I haven't backed up or sync'd my phone for over 6 months. I finally got around to moving the itunes file to another computer.  Now when I try to sync my phone it is trying to add the apps back that were deleted off the phone but were still on the last time on itunes backed up of the phone.  So now the Apps are being added back and before it can complete the sync it runs out of space and cannot complete the process.  Help how can I get around this, thanks.

    You'd think that deleting an app from your iPhone and then syncing the iPhone would tell iTunes that you don't want that application on your iPhone any longer - but that isn't what happens. iTunes is your home base for applications and media. You have to tell iTunes what you want added to your iOS device or removed from your iOS device.
    My habit is to connect my iOS device and immediately select the option to sync newly purchased items from the device to iTunes. Once that's done I select my device in iTunes and look over the applications and media to see that everything I want/don't want is correctly indicated. Then I sync again.
    Step 1 gets all the updated and newly purchased stuff into iTunes. Step 2 makes sure I get only what I want (and exactly what I want) on my device.

  • GPMC problem: Item has already been added. Key in dictionary: "Key being added:"

    I have the following scenario:

    I try to generate a report for a Group Policy object (GPO) in the GPMC window.

    I don't understand, what do you mean tweak the XML for the filterfile version entry.
    The GPO is the Default Domain Policy. Our AD functional levels (forest, domain) are 2012. If I started GPMC on the domain controller then I do not receive the "Item has already been added..." message, I can open the report succesfully. Our domain
    was on 2003 level before the migration, but we had the same problem ("Item has already been added...")  on Win 7 clients, but on DC with Windows 2003 works well.
    GPMC logging logs the followings when try to open Default Domain Policy on Windows 7 client:

  • Clearfloat problem-extra space remains in IE

    Hi,
    I've worked on this problem, did the Google thing, but I just
    can't resolve it. There is extra space remaining under the image
    even after using clearfloat. I want the bottom border to snug up to
    the bottom of the image, but somehow in IE I keep getting that
    horrible gray space.
    Main
    page-with troublesome space below before footer
    Thanks so much for helping... as always!
    Cheers,
    Janell

    I don't see an extra space problem related to floats in IE6
    but I do see a
    gray png background image under the spash-text. Pre-IE7
    browsers do not
    support alpha transparency on png images. If you get rid of
    the bg image,
    you'll see better results in IE. Or do a search for IE
    conditional comments
    or the IE star hack to serve a different image to pre-IE7
    browsers.

  • Css problem in internet explorer

    Hi to all!
    On my page as part of the page template I have build in a little drop-down user panel on the left top of the page.
    html:<div id="userpanel">
      <span><img src="'#APP_IMAGES#openSlidedown.png" /> <a>logon: &APP_USER.</a>
      <div id="userpanel_hsreg"><p>Autorisiert für: &APP_CODES_DISP.</p>
      <p>| #NAVIGATION_BAR#</p>
      </div></span>
    </div>css:#userpanel,
    #userpanel * {
            position:relative;
         font-family:verdana; font-size:12px;
         margin:0; padding:1px; border:0;
         white-space:nowrap;
    #userpanel a,
    #userpanel span { display:inline-block; }
    #userpanel>span>a { color:#999; }
    #userpanel span:hover div { display:block; }
    #userpanel>span:hover > a { color:black; }
    #userpanel_hsreg {
              display:none;
              position:absolute;
              left:+5px;
              top:+24px;
              background:#fff;
              padding:10px 18px;
              line-height:180%;
              border:1px solid silver;
              border-radius: 6px;
              box-shadow:1px 2px 5px #aaa;
              z-index:99;
    #userpanel>span>a {
              border-bottom:1px solid silver;
              margin-top: 5px;
              }So what happens is this: if the user hovers over the "+logon: username+", a little box pops up with some further information (the item &APP_CODES_DISP.) and the logout-link. Below this link, the Navigation bar starts. So while the box pops up, it covers a part of the region below, what its meant to do.
    The promlem is, that this doesnt work in Internet Explorer properly, when its launched from apex. Instead, the popup-box is displayed behind the region below. In Mozilla, as always, everything worls fine. This problem ocured already, when I opened the html-file from desktop, but I fixed that by putting the z-index-attribute in. Only now, in Apex, its still now working in IE. I am not that of an expert in css. I have tried different XHTML declarations in the header, all no difference.
    The current one:<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">This might be a bit of a tricky issue, so I dearly hope, someone can help me. (Similar problem like the other threat I started recently here where the round-corner attribute is not working in IE-Apex, but this time its a bit more vital. :) )
    I have v 4.0.2.
    Thanks and greetings,
    tobi

    Hi again!
    This turns out not to be an APEX-issue, as I tought first, but rather a css-problem. Maybe therefore I'm in the wrong forum, but maybe someone can help me anyway.
    I have created two pages with the relevant element: (login with test/test please) one page with standard tabs and another with my own html-navigation. Now Internet Explorer has the option "Compatibility View" which in our company is activated by default. On page 1 it makes no difference, but on the second, with Compatibility View on, the drop-down box apeares behind my selfimplemented navigation bar. WHY IN GODS NAME DOES THIS HAPPEN??
    I have posted the same question in a german web-developer forum (here) also, because its quite urgent that I solve this, and as I mentioned above, many colleagues work with IE.
    So if anyone here is a css-IE9-expert... :)
    Thanks and best regards,
    Tobi
    edit: ok, its solved. The userpanel-div needed a "z-index:1;" attribute for IE. :)

  • CSS problems in Dreamweaver CC?

    I am having problems getting the CSS to update properly when I make changes to the code in the CSS document in the left panel. I have to go into CSS Designer to make the changes in addition to writing code in the css document, but it is often easier to update the code in the document and not use CSS Designer.
    At one point, a bizarre thick border appeared on an element that I had NOT styled in either CSS Designer or in the CSS document. When I tried to change the border, the border did not show up in settings in CSS Designer or in the CSS document panel. The only place that affected the border was by using the Properties in the panel at the bottom of the app window. Once I accessed the "CSS Designer" from the Properties panel, I could see the settings and get rid of them.
    Wondering if this is some kind of bug? Or if anyone else is experiencing problems making changes to css in the css document window?

    I'll look for a DW forum. FYI, I'm on a Mac OS10.8.5, with most recent update for DW CC. I attached an external css to the file and it is shown correctly under Sources in CSS Designer (no extra styles are in the head of the document); that part works just fine. Formatting borders is pretty straight-forward—specify style, width, color for each side.
    The question is why changes to the css don't always take effect if I write the css as code in the css panel (on the left side using split view)—even when I do a save. When I ALSO change settings in CSS Designer the changes DO appear in the CSS code panel, even duplicating the code I just entered there. One time I had to use the "Edit Rule" in the Properties box at the bottom of the app window to get the css to update.
    The lack of consistency interferes with workflow.
    I wish I could write the css in the code panel and have a refresh button like the one for Source Code changes.
    Often it is much faster to write the css in the code panel. Scrolling through all the settings of the CSS Designer can be tedious and it's easy to make mistakes.
    An example of this css is a sidebar div with a bottom border. When I was setting this up, it ended up with a thick solid black bottom border and I had trouble making a change. Eventually I succeeded via the Properties panel, but it should have updated via the css code panel OR CSS Designer.
    #sidebar {
         border-bottom: thin dotted #055900;
    So, maybe this is a Creative Cloud issue, or maybe a DW issue.

  • Css problem in media for ipod and mobile

    I have a problem applying code for a menu on a webpage.
    I have posted the site example on www.tdrd.karoo.net
    and the complete zip at www.tdrd.karoo.net/index.zip
    I have applied the effect fine for the Full screen model media section of responsive.css but when I try to tailor the menu for the smaller resolutions it is only adjusting it for the full screen version.
    I have applied the middle resolution in the example uploaded but for some reason it is not applying it to the model.
    Please can anyone shed light as why this could be - the clue has to be somewhere in the nav section of the css....
    Thank you
    Terry

  • CSS Problem - Background repeat & Max/Min Width

    I have the problem at lower resolutions that the content div sticks out of the main document.
    Or in fact, the content isnt sticking out, its the background repeat that is in the right of the screen thats pushed into the doc.
    And also the background repeat isnt always repeating till bottom. It doesnt matter how big a negative margin is.
    How can i let the background repeat right stick to the end of the document instead of the width of screen?
    How can i let the repeat continue so it goeas all the way down?
    Here's the CSS:

    I think you're going about this the wrong way.  When you float content, it is removed from the normal flow. That's why your floated right background doesn't reach page bottom.
    Look at this DEMO of a centered liquid layout page.View source in browser.
    http://alt-web.com/TEMPLATES/CSS2-Liquid-Page.shtml
    Using my demo as an example, you could place a repeating, solid light-green image in the body to give the page its borders.  Add another repeating background to the #wrapper division.
    Add a 3rd background image or light color to the #content division.
    Use floats for sidebar content only.
    Hope this helps.

  • File extension _000 is being added

    I believe this is part of the rollback option which we are
    not using.
    We tried the Rollback option at one time and it became
    confusing for the users as well as for those of us who administer
    Contribute 3 because it was adding so many extra files which was
    contributing to broken links. We do not need the Rollback option
    because our users are only allowed access to development and
    everything is backed up daily. Therefore, we disabled the rollback
    option.
    Even though Rollback has been disabled, the _000 file
    extension is still being added to graphics and PDF files. How can
    we stop Contribute 3 from adding this _000 file extension? It is
    still causing a problem with broken links because the files moved
    into production do not have the _000 file extension.

    By Default any user role created - ex: Publisher, Writer
    etc.. will not have a permission called "Allow users to delete the
    files they have permission to edit"...
    Edit->Administer Website->Select the role->Edit role
    settings->File Folder Access, Check the check box... All users
    to delete the file they have permission to edit...
    When you give this permission, and if the user in that role
    tries to publish a file then he will be prompted with a dialog -
    "Do you want to overwrite this file? or create a similar file name
    i.e., _000"...
    But by default this checkbox is unchecked so, people will
    have by default _000 created....
    hope this helps...

    Hola Lucas:
    Para m=ED, es FF el que lo renderiza correctamente:
    La teor=EDa dice m=E1s o menos:
    El borde superior de un float nunca puede estar por encima

    border superior de un bloque u otro float definido con

    En tu caso, no podr=E1 subir m=E1s arriba del borde superior

    La verdad que la definici=F3n tampoco es muy clara... En tu

    -Firefox interpreta que el float definido con anterioridad
    es el =
    ultimo float de las imagenes de la derecha, por lo que se

    ultimo slice
    -IE parece entender que es cualquier float definido
    anteriormente, =
    as=ED que lo aplica sobre el primero (por lo que se alinea al
    primer =
    slice).

  • After merging MobileMe to iCloud I am left without being able to access all services

    Before iOS5 I had two accounts with Apple
    [email protected] for iTunes. (this is the id name)
    [email protected] for MobileMe
    Last night I merged my MobileMe to iCloud using my MobileMe name [email protected]
    This address doesn't allow me to access support
    It doesn't allow me to use tools such as Find my friends
    When logging into [email protected] it asked me to add a MobileMe Address so I added [email protected]
    I am unable to verify the address as its used on the other one.
    How can I a) keep my [email protected] address b) ensure I keep all my data and c) merge the old account leaving me with just the one?

    I am/was having the same problem. I ended up logging into my MobleMe/Apple ID account with iTunes and authorized my Mac to use the Apps/music. That's working great now, though I'm locked out of auto-sync and redownloading any purchese I've deleted for the next 90 days, but all is great with Wi-fi syncing! :-)
    The problem I'm left with is not being able to access any of my MobileMe stuff. May iCal and book marks won't sync and I'm not sure if it's because I'm now using Lion or if it's actually MobileMe. To update any Calendars and have them sync to my iPhone, I have to go into iCloud.com. I'm still left without bookmarks though.
    I'm not sure why they can't merge the two accounts, it's very frustrating for me and I'm sure thousands of other people!

  • Possible CSS problem?

    Hi All,
    I am in the process of making a website for a friend, when I ran into what looks like a css problem.
    I purchased the css file in a template from a guy who does tutorials on youtube, I have contacted him on several occasions but his customer service is pretty awful and he hasn't replied to any contact.
    When using a mobile or tablet to view the website the header and footer area is pushed to the left. (please see attached image)
    I added 100% to the following containers but still it never changed them.
    #header-wrapper
    #footer-content-wrapper
    #footer
    If I change the widths to 1000px then it sorts it out for the mobile view but then the website on a pc/laptop is distorted.
    the website can be found at www.leightonsterling.com
    Thankyou in advance.

    There's nothing wrong with your site.  That's exactly what fixed-width, centered layouts do in smaller displays.  They move to the left.   If you want a responsive web site that adjusts to mobile and tablet device widths, you need a Responsive Layout.
    Look at FluidGrid Layouts in Dreamweaver CS6 & CC.  Or use one of the following Responsive Frameworks to jump start your project.

    Note : All devises Working well , Mean android safari and chroum & Mozela , Only safari Iphone.

    Hello,
    Please take a look at this related thread: http://forums.adobe.com/message/5661340#5661340
    In addition to what has been said already in the post above, with the release of Muse 7, you now have the capability to make full screen slideshows with just a drag and drop, in addition to the capability of having full screen images filled inside a rectangle, which was available earlier as well. You can now, also have full width text boxes etc. which may also be useful.
    Hope this helps.
    Cheers
    Parikshit

  • CSS Problem, please help

    I have a problem with css mark-up that I can't fix and I am going to flip soon
    Basically, I have a div that I have created for a product to sit in, and I want it to repeat eight times in two rows of four. Currently, I am getting them appear as a stack one on top of the other, and I just can't sort it. I have tried the tag Display: inline, but when doing that the box collapses.
    Here's my css code:
    #outerWrapper #contentWrapper #content #TopRatedContainer #TopRatedProduct {
    margin: 0px;
    padding: 5px;
    height: 190px;
    width: 111px;
    border-top-width: 1px;
    border-right-width: 1px;
    border-top-style: solid;
    border-right-style: solid;
    border-bottom-style: none;
    border-left-style: none;
    border-top-color: #CCC;
    border-right-color: #CCC;
    Any thoughts on how I can fix it?
    Here is the related css that has built up this area on my webpage:
    #outerWrapper #contentWrapper #content #TopRatedContainer {
    background-color: #FFF;
    margin: 0px;
    padding: 0px;
    width: 488px;
    border-left-width: 1px;
    border-top-style: none;
    border-right-style: none;
    border-bottom-style: none;
    border-left-style: solid;
    border-left-color: #CCC;
    #outerWrapper #contentWrapper #content #TopRatedContainer #TopRatedProduct {
    margin: 0px;
    padding: 5px;
    height: 190px;
    width: 111px;
    border-top-width: 1px;
    border-right-width: 1px;
    border-top-style: solid;
    border-right-style: solid;
    border-bottom-style: none;
    border-left-style: none;
    border-top-color: #CCC;
    border-right-color: #CCC;
    #outerWrapper #contentWrapper #content #TopRatedContainer #TopRatedRepeat {
    display: block;
    width: 122px;
    float: left;
    #outerWrapper #contentWrapper #content #TopRatedFooter {
    padding: 0px;
    height: 5px;
    width: 490px;
    margin-top: 0px;
    margin-right: 0px;
    margin-bottom: 15px;
    margin-left: 0px;
    background-image: url(../images/getit-bottomtopratedpanel.gif);
    background-repeat: no-repeat;
    I tried to place it in the TopRatedRepeat area, but this didn't work either so have subsequently taken it out of the equation but thought I'd show it just incase it helps.
    TIA
    Mat

    Consider this approach -

        width: 600px;
        overflow:hidden;
    .product {
        width:130px;
        margin:10px;
