Ctrl + C is not copying content in JTextBox

Question

Hi,
We have extended JTextBox to create a custom component. We are extending this to do some processing when maxlength exceeds some specified value.
But now this custom component does not support copying using Ctrl + C. I thought that any Swing component inherently support Ctrl +C.
Can anyone help?

In any case, if you are talking about a subclass of either of the two named actual Swing components, here is a small example..

1.6.0-b105Do you get different results?
If these copy OK for you, and you are talking about JTextArea or JTextField, this output supports that even sub-classes of those two components can allow ctrl-c to copy.
So, I speculate that it is something in the code you did not show, that is causing the problem you report.
If you cannot sort it, I suggest posting an SSCCE.
