CUP e-mail notifications + submit and approve requests

Hi experts,
I configured the workflows in CUP and now im trying to configure the email notifications . The CAD's that I've set are:
1. Request Petitioner
2. Internal Control
3. Security
and the approver determinator for each stage are:
1. Petitioner
2. Internal Control
3. Security
So, I need to know two thinks:
1. Could the person who submits a request, send it and approve with a single mouse click? given that the same person must submit a request and then approve it, would it be possible to perform both actions at once?
2. I would like to set e-mail notifications to the appropiate role owner, it 's possible? The problem is that we don´t set the role owners like approvers determinator.

Hi Marta,
In answer to question #1: You could possibly achieve this by changing your workflow but I do not think you want to do so. You would have to guarantee that submission was always done by those that approve the first stage in you workflow.
Question #2: I am not sure I understand what you would like to do. From what you state, I am assuming the Role approvers are stored in the Role file (CUP >> Configuration Tab >> Roles >> Search Roles/Create Roles) and not in a CAD. Are you looking to personalize the email for each role approver so he/she knows exactly which of his/her roles are in the request to approve from the email notification?

I have my CUP working in such a way that role owners are able to go to their Inbox in UI>My Home . However I would like to send E-mail into their Inbox . Right now we are getting the e-mail only at the end of the request when the request is completed.

Hi,
You will need to make sure that the submission and new work item notifications are activated in MSMP at the various stages and also make sure that the approvers are marked for both approval and notification at the agent assignments.
I would also check to make sure that their emaill addresses are maintained correctly in the GRC system (the data sources will not pick up the approver email addresses automatically).

You can use these steps to check if images are blocked:
* Open the web page that has the images missing in a browser tab.
* Click the website favicon ([[Site Identity Button]]) on the left end of the location bar.

* Go to the <i>Media</i> tab of the "Tools > Page Info" window.
* Select the first image link and scroll down through the list with the Down arrow key.

Transport Request Import E-mail Notification

Experts ,
Whenever we transport an change request to Target system , say to QA system , Can we get an E-mail notification that the transport request has reached Target system. If yes, How can this be achieved. ???

Hi
You need to setup a workflow for Transport requests.The mail can be sent to Business workplace(t-code SBWP) inbox or sent to exchange server for a internet email. Go to SE09 and click on Transport Proposal Tab which is right next to Global Information Tab. You can read the SAP HELP there to activate this mechanism.

How do you turn on Mail Notifications when Mail is not listed in the INCLUDE or DO NOT INCLUDE list of apps?

A week ago, the Mail app wouldn't display any messages. After restarting the phone, it still would not display any messages, it would just quit. Then eventually it opened with messages displayed. But then Mail notifications disappeared, and is not even listed in the Notification Center. How can Mail be "re-listed"?

I checked some other discussions and doing a reset by holding the power and home button helped the Mail app to appear in the Notifications list again

No Mail notification whatsoever.

Since the introduction of Leopard, my Mail experience has suffered. Like many other users, I get no Mail notifications. No bouncing dock icon, no sound. I'm using multiple mail accounts (Gmail/IMAP and local ISP/POP3). I've read of several people finding joy with various strategies:
- Setting the (awful) System sound effects to "on"
- Turning off the IMAP "Idle" option
- Using Growl
While I have been able to use Growl, it produces no sound. Even if I set the Growl Mail preferences to make sound, they are not produced.
Now I'm reading in the Snow Leopard discussions that this problem is still not fixed in the new OS. *irritated noise*.
I would really love some hope, as I've been living like this for 2 years now, and it's horrible.
Any suggestions?

It looks like I've partially answered my question. Since the inception of OS X, I've always turned the Finder sound effects to "OFF", because they don't in any way amuse me. I just tried as a last resort, turning the dreadful things "ON" and suddenly I get both Mail notification sounds AND Growl notification sounds!
HURRAH!! (sort of)
I had no idea the two sound sets were interlinked. Let it be said that it ought to be otherwise. I wonder if there's any way to separate them one day? In the past, it was; you could set the Mail sounds "ON" and leave the Finder sounds "OFF". Or so I thought.

E-Mail notification in Change Request by approval

Hello out there,
I'm trying for days to set up an automatic e-mail notfication for my change request transaction by workflow.
My aim is to trigger an email notification by saving after setting the approved activity.
I tried it with following workflow conditions:
E.g. by setting schedule condition on status "validation - E0014" and start condition on status "release for approval - E0012" everything works fine.
So I think the problem is the status "approved - E0004" ... maybe 'cause it isn't set by actions like the other statuses?
Any ideas?

P.S.: Solution Manager CHARM is driving me to insanity ...

Problem is solved.
The conditions were alright ... the problem was that change manager and requester (both test users) got the same e-mail address so nothing happened.
After changing requester's mail everything works fine.

Special Instructions on approval review before submit and on notification

Hello
The review screen and approval notification both show Special Instructions. What I cannot find is how to populate this field. If administrator does the enrollment then instructions can be inserted but this doesn't help self-service.
Can this value be defaulted at Offering level? Where do I find it?

CUP-GRC 5.3-E-mail notification

Hi experts,
Does anyone know where you can change the link is already set at the e-mail notification?
I mean when the owner approve the request and the stage is finished an e-mail notification is coming into the in-box, thus after reading the issue message a link is posted. Trhough that link you can go into CUP. I have two different kind of links:

Vista ( coming from the stage e-mail notification configuration)
Where can I change the URL'as name? The last one is not so much clarifiying to the user.

So as I understand it from this thread, the email reminder doesn't have a URL and we can insert our own. In case I've understood this correctly, then I wish to insert a URL that will take the user to that request directly, rather than to a list of pending requests, or any other page.
However, I don't have the URL that will allow me to do this. Do you know how I can have the user click on a link in the reminder email, and then have them go directly into the request?

Workitems and Mail Notifications being sent multiple times.

There are two issues with our WF development:
1. An approver is receiving a mail notification and WF Decision item TWICE. On analyzing, we found out that the "Requested End" tab of the Decision task had an entry of 2 mins (Work item creation).
Guidance needed on whether this would resolve the issue or is there a different solution.
2. On trying to execute a decision for a WF item, an error msg is shown, "You are not a receiver of the work item" and does not allow to proceed with the decision. What could be the issue??

Hello,
What happens is, till your workflow duration is on, you will receive reminder mails.
So to avoid this, you need to increase all the duration steps to be equal to duration of of the workflow what you define in the Start step.

Modifying the notification mail sent by Invoice Approval Workflow - AP

Hi,
We have a requirement to modify the standard mail notification email body sent to the approver to approve the invoice.
When have check the message attribute in the workflow and it has a constant value.
JSP:/OA_HTML/OA.jsp?page=/oracle/apps/ap/invoice/request/negotiation/webui/NotifPGRN&INVOICEID=-&INVOICE_ID-
We are unable to figure which region needs to be modified or which controller needs to be extended.
At also I want to know if the notification email body and the notification on the the user home screen are derived from the same source.

Hi,
You need to modify the region NotifPGRN in specified in the path.
Go to Functional Administrator and give the path /oracle/apps/ap/invoice/request/negotiation/webui/NotifPGRN.
You will able to find the region.

ChaRM: mail notification to requester

Hi!
I would like to set up an automatic mail notification for requester of the change request (SDCR), when the Change Manager approves or denies them.
The problem I am currently facing:
when the fields "Sold-to-Party"and "Requester" have the same partner/user no mail notification will be send.
Does some one know a workaround to solve this bug?

I would like to set up an automatic mail notification for requester of the the change request (SDCR).
Scenario:
When the Change Manager approves the change request (SDCR) then the requester should get a mail.
What I have done:
Creation of action condition "Z_mail_to_requester"
for action profile "SDCR".
partner dependent: (00000016 Requester)
First question:
When I look into the change request --> Partner I can see that the requester has another number.
(00000010 Requester)
Is that a SAP bug?
Then I defined the schedule condition:
&Servicevorgang CRM Error.FreeFlag& = X
and
&Servicevorgang CRM Error.Userstatus& [] E0004+DCRHEAD*
My problem: the action will neither scheduled nor executed shen the Change Manager approves and saves the change request.
Can some one hell me please?!

I configured Change request mang. in my solution manager server. now i want to create msg notification for all status changes in charm msg flow, like when change request approved by advisory board a automatic mail should generate for change manager.same as we use in service desk for mail notification.for all status changes.

on on every maintenance cycle phase change........

Error in RAR while approving request from CUP

Dear GRC Gurus,
I am getting error while approving request in CUP for RAR. Checked the related threads for this issue but still not getting any solution.
Connectors are working fine. Also web service URL is maintained correctly and password for the same is working fine in backend.
Error message is
Risk analysis failed: Exception in getting the results from the web service : Service call exception; nested exception is: java.rmi.RemoteException:

Hi ,
You need to clarify what you are trying to do, type of request, timeout time, moment it fails...
If you are referring to the RAR SOD web-service call from CUP, the timeout defined may be too short, problems on the web service/backend connectors configuration or performance/resources available. I advise you to see the SAP Notes below.
Troubleshoot issues with risk analysis, see the SAP Notes 1136379, 1049058, 1145700, 1234807, 1085586, 1061088, 1003239, and 1166368.
This is the most common issue between CUP and RAR when running the SOD analysis, and some times the only solution is to improve the performance of the server with more memory/processor.
