CUP not updating OCS status when user ends call

Hi All,
I have an issue where, when a user places/receives a call their MOC status shows them as "on a call", 99% of the time when they end the call the MOC status changes back to what ever is was set to, i.e. Available.
The 1% of the time is will stay "in a call".
Now I have managed to trace a call from the CUP server and when the status updated correctly I can see a SIP message "ConnectionClearedEvent", however when the status does NOT change back there is no "ConnectionClearedEvent" in the SIPProxy trace file.
So I am assuimg that some thing between CUCM and CUP is failing everynow and again.
I am having a mental black and need to be pointed to the CUCM process that would pass the information to the CUP server.

I would recommend you upgrade to CUPS 7.0.8 before troubleshooting.
In each relase between 7.0.3 and 7.0.8 there are some OCS bugs fixed. Not saying that upgrade would fix your problem. But at least it would rule out the known defects.
If there's no CSTA (INFO) message sent to OCS, the problem would be on CUPS side. It could be the CUPS lost its connection with CTIManager thus not able to get CTI event updates.

I have checked this in system. I posted one Parked invoice using T.code FV60 and there i appeared my name because i created. But after some time one of my collegue changed the reference and text field with his login i.d. But still in the invoice it is showing as my name whereas if we go to the environmnet, there in the changes we can see what are the changes done and it is appearing my collegues user i.d. But in the main invoice it is still appearing my name.

Yahoo! Messenger Connects But No Longer Updates The Status Of Users

I have a Mac Pro and a MacBook both with 10.5.8 and both with Yahoo! Messenger version 3 Beta 4. When I first log in, all online friends status is updated and correct. As users log in, log out, go idle, go mobile etc the Yahoo application does not update their status. I can log out and log back in to update the list but my online friends get irritated with me when I do that every half hour or so.
I have reinstalled, deleted preferences, repaired permissions, chanted and tried to ignore it. Nothing worked so far.
Anyone else having this problem?

I'm having problems with Yahoo Messenger but it's different from yours. Anyway here it is (just in case someone's experiencing the same problem with me).
Since I updated to 10.5.8 (from 10.5.7) I noticed that my Yahoo Messenger won't show my image. I tried checking it a gazillion times to make sure that I didn't select "None" as my Display Image. However, if I chose Avatar (cartoony image that you can customize via Yahoo) it's working, I can see it and my friends too. I also noticed that when I click Browse and choose a certain picture it shows in the Preference Window but not on the actual Yahoo Messenger Window. I've tried selecting .jpg .png .gif versions hoping it would do the trick, but it didn't. I've deleted the cache and the application, reinstalled (YM 3.0 Beta) but my picture still won't show.
Would downgrading solve the problem?

Not Updating Customized Table when System having Performance Issue

Hi,
This is actually the same topic as "Not Updating Customized Table when System having Performance Issue" which is posted last December by Leonard Tan regarding the user exit EXIT_SAPLMBMB_001.
Recently we changed the program function module z_mm_save_hide_qty to update task. However this causes more data not updated. Hence we put back the old version (without the update task). But now it is not working as it used to be (e.g. version 1 - 10 records not updated, version 2 with update task - 20 records not updated, back to version 1 - 20 records not updated).
I tried debugging the program, however whenever I debugged, there is nothing wrong and the data is updated correctly.
Please advise if anyone has any idea why is this happening. Many thanks.

Hi Janet,
you are right. This is a basic rule not to do any COMMIT or RFC calls in a user exit.
Have a look at SAP note 92550. Here they say that exit EXIT_SAPLMBMB_001 is called in the update routine MB_POST_DOCUMENT. And this routine is already called in UPDATE TASK from FUNCTION 'MB_UPDATE_TASKS' IN UPDATE TASK.
SAP also tells us not to do any updates on SAP system tables like MBEW, MARD, MSEG.
Before the exit is called, now they call 'MB_DOCUMENT_BADI' with methods MB_DOCUMENT_BEFORE_UPDATE and MB_DOCUMENT_UPDATE. Possibly you have more success implementing the BADI.
I don't know your situation and goal so this is all I can tell you now.

Printing PDF files with smb/cups not possible // SLPReg status -20!

i am running SAMBA 3.6.1-1 and CUPS 1.5.0-1 on a dedicated system. Printer: Canon Pixma IP4500 (USB).
The problem is that all Windows 7 clients are not able to print PDF files (since few months) on that printer while printing these files with Linux software is no problem. The PDF files are neither encrypted nor forbidden to print.
I tried to print with Adobe Acrobat Reader X (latest) and Foxit Reader. Both are preparing the pages to be printed and close their printing dialog after processing. Windows printing queue does not show any jobs (which it even does not when printing simple images with MS Paint, which is not a problem).
Windows systems are using the Canon Inkjet 4500 and Canon iP 4500 driver (manually installed). Printing images works with both drivers.
I searched for "SLPReg […] failed with status -20!" but found no helpful information.

OOTB Approval Workflow on Custom List does not Update Approval Status

I have a custom list on which I've required content approval. I then created a workflow instance from the "Approval - SharePoint 2010" template. For this workflow I have selected "Update the approval status after the workflow
is completed (use this workflow to control content approval". When I approve the list item via the workflow task item the status of the item is not updated but stays at pending even though the
workflow shows "Completed" with the Outcome of "approved". Is this the expected behavior, i.e. does "Update the approval status after the workflow is completed (use this workflow to control content approval"
not work for custom lists? Does it work on any of the lists?

If you check "Require Content Approval" setting, only the way above can update the approval status due to the approval status is for this approval workflow. As this approval workflow cannot achieve your demand, I recommend you un-check "Require Content Approval"
setting and create a custom workflow such as the OOTB Approval Workflow or SharePoint Designer workflow.
Here is the steps of a SharePoint Designer workflow:
1.Go to your custom list , click Create a Workflow in SharePoint Designer.
2.Add a “Start a task process” action in your workflow.
3.Click “these users” and Start a Task Process edit page will pop up.
4.In the Participants field, input your approvers based on the order of approval.
5.In the right of Participants field, select “Serial (one at a time)”.

CLEAN_REQREQ_UP not updating the status of all confirmations.

Hello All
We have scheduled the cleaner report as a job running every 2 minutes.
This job changes the status of the confirmations from 'Approved' to 'Transmit to backend system'.
However the job doesn't process a few confirmations randomly.
In such confirmations, the status remains as ' Approved'.
There is no issue for replication for such confirmations in the backend.
This happens on 30 % of all confirmations.
All these confirmations are coming from an interface and the following sequence occurs
1) MFG Batch user creates Confirmation in SRM
2) WF Batch user sets the status as Approved
3) Job Batch user( CLEAN_REQREQ_UP) updates the status to 'Transmit to Backend system'
I am trying to find out why the job wont process these confirmations.

when we do confirmations in SRM
message type MBGMCR and RFC takes GOODS CONFIRMATION / SERVICES data to .ECC
and BBP_GET_STATUS_2 job bring the informations of ECC GR status and update in SRM.
bbp_docuemnt_tab get entries of srm confirmation data and clears clen req up table (po+confirmation number).
clean job must clean this PO+confirmation line in the bbp_docuemnt_tab table.
check your PO number in BBP_DOCUMENT_TAB TABLE.
i need to check it up.

User Profile email address not updated on Site Collection User Information

Hi All,
Ok here we go....SharePoint 2007 with SSP profile sync not enabled, however I have a few profiles I need to update (email address). This has been completed by editing the user profile in SSP, but when viewing the information via Site Collection >
People & Groups > User Information "Work E-mail" is still showing the old one.
All alerts are still being sent to the old email address, SSP DB UserProfile_Full shows the new email address as per SSP.
Anyone know where else user profile emails are stored which is used by Exchange?

Trigger an even or process when user ends his session?

Hi all,
I have a table for editing a task. When a given user is editing this task it is being marked (via column TASK_LOCKED_BY) as being locked so no other users can edit it in the same time.
However, the problem is that when a user leaves the page by pressing a browser's back button or simply closes the page - the column TASK_LOCKED_BY is not being updated and so the task appears as being still locked by that user.
Is there a way of setting an event where if the user closes his Apex windows (another words when he stops using the application) that all tasks locked by him are released?
Any other suggestions how to make this locking mechanism better and less error prone?

I don't think you will ever be able to find out if a user closed his browser, window or
pressed a back button. Even if you manage this, this would be a complicated process.
Someone may teach me a different thing. However, I would do this in a less complicated
way and I am sure this would serve the purpose:
1. you need to fetch the time stamp of the moment when user locks a record and
store it in a corresponding table,
2. you may tell to the user, he has two minutes to update the task (or you even may
not say anything),
3. I assume, after updating, your record will be released for further processing,
4. you may have a job running every minute, checking the locked tasks and
looking at those, with a time frame longer than two minutes. If it finds them,
it will unlock them, so the other users may work on them. You may decide to
document this as well and use it later on,
5. if your user waits too long but still wants to update the task he loaded, your
process may check first if meanwhile this task has been locked by someone
else and if not, it will allow updating after processing of checksum. If it has been
locked, it will inform your user about this - you can use a page validation process
for these purposes.
This is basically how I would do this. I don't know how many tasks we are
talking about and can not judge upon the frequency and the overhead such
an approach would cause. I also don't know if there are any other rules
you may not have mentioned.

Java does not update older version when installing from MSI file

I'm using an MSI file of Java because it's easier for deploying through SCCM. Anyway when I do everything works fine except it does not update older versions of Java. So for instance if I have Java 7 update 7 and install Java 7 update 21 using the MSI file I'll then have two versions of Java installed on my computer. Anybody know a way to install using the MSI file where it updates older versions of Java (as long as it's the same major revision) like the exe would?

Yes same problem here. I had a successful rollout with the MSI package and version 1.7 Update 17 on 1500 computers!
I packaged the Update 21 and on my first test-clients the control panel crashes when I try to open it. But the setup ends successful without any error code all eventviewer entries are successful and it seems that the environment is running. Firefox plugintest was successful.
Why doesn't offer Orcale the MSI files?! Since last year Java cost me o lot of time deploying Java. There is no update which you can release quickly because there are always bugs to deploy them.

SetRegion does not update the region when the current one is slightly diff.

I'm working on some iPhone MapKit code which fires off some events when the boundaries of the map change (basically some queries to an external server). There is one edge case I can't seem to solve. When users enter a new address I use setRegion to zoom in on that location and afterwards I compute the bounds of the map and query my external server with those coordinates. I always call setRegion however, there is one edge case when it will not fire. That, is, when a user magically happens to select the exact same address that lies at the current center of the map, when that map is zoomed to exactly the same region. Of course this possibility is rare but it is easy achievable in code.
This would be the equivalent of allowing the user to drop a pin at the center of the current map and fire off a query to my server based on that. Unfortunately because the code logic depends on the region changing (which I've done so that users can easily pan around the map and not have to explicitly press a refresh button), I need a work around. How can I know when setRegion has been called but it won't fire regionWillChange / regionDidChange. Can I override the function some how?
As a work around I tried to detect when the region wouldn't change by writing code just before I set the region to compare the new region's center coordinates and span values to that of the current map region's.
Unfortunately when I set the search Location to be the center of the current map I get the following results:

In different cases the error is slightly different but generally speaking even when the region is slightly different like this setRegion or morever, regionDidChange, do not fire. Hi, recently I'm having a problem with my Ipod touch 4th Gen. It works fine, plays music and videos normally, but it does not update the "last played" status, nor "last played date". This is a problem because I sync my videos based on "most recent not played", and I have some smartlists that make use of that statur or date too.
This happened once before I upgraded from iOS 5 to Six, but apparently was corrected; however, since I upgraded to iOS 6, none of my played items is being updated. Could it be because of the iOS upgrading, or maybe there is something else I'm missing?

I have an iPad,mini iPad and iPhone 5, I tried Many times in all of them updated my apps but when I click in the icon can not updated. Always appear the same word:Update
What can i do?

If you made an entirely new acount then sign out of your old one on iTunes and any other things and sign back in on your new on, you won't be able to access any of the purchases that you made on your old acount on any other device.
If you just your ID and password, again signing out of your old one and signing back in with the new ID and password could help to fix problems your having.
Also, if that doesn't work (or even if it does) rebooting your iPad / iPod or whatever your doing this on might help too, it just fixed a really annoying problem I had so maybe it could help you. Anyway, good luck.

Do NOT "update" to Anna!! You call this an UPDATE?...

I knew I shouldn't have done it. Anyway, I got the **bleep**. Ehm... I mean, Anna.
Here's what I got:
- it took me ages to figure WHY my N8 was now connecting to the web using the mobile network. Turned out if it was now set to the G3 system, and for some reason it just doesn't CARE that you set it to use strictly your home wireless. So, I can only use GSM.
- Out on the street, just NO WAY to browse using the mobile network, viceversa. Well, cool, it will help saving some money, I guess.
- New themes and keyboard to enter messages. Nokia, what kind of beings do you employ in R&D, rats???!! Have you EVER seen a HUMAN being? I have NORMAL fingers, and I can tell you there is NO WAY I can use these **bleep**ing keys you and Anna have conceived.
That's for the last 24 hours, will keep you UPDATEd with new findings.

I am having very bad experiece other than the keyboard and features which they call it as added advantages....My problem after the upgrade are below:
1. My N8 battery which used to last for minimum 2 to 3 days (for my normal usage - voice call, little GPRS browsing), after the upgrade it lasting only for 8 to 12 hours. When I installed battery monitor utility it says some Backgroud application is utilizing all my battery power.
2. Phone is restarting by itself when not in use or when any call is landing.
3. I tried formatting it couple of times using *#7370# and 3 button reset and ended up more problem of losing internet not getting connected with error network connection rejected.
4. I am using Nokia phone for past 8 years (Nokia 7610, N73Music edition) and I bought this N8 last year. I never had such a bad experience with any models. I am planning to scrap it and go for iPhone3GS which is now almost the same cost as N8 in chennai now.
If I had referred to the forum prior to my update I wouldnt have done upgraded it. This is the first biggest mistake I did in my life.
Is any Nokia R&D tech is reading this? Could you please give me any ERT for this issue fix else we will all come and literally throw the nokia handset and move to other products...

Updating task status after external system calls UpdateOrder WS in OSM 7

Hi,
I have this query related to updateOrder WS. if the external system directly calls the OSM updateOrder web service, then how can OSM know about it? As I understand, updateOrder does not change the status of the task. Do we need to add another OSM element like notification event which regularly polls some data element or any message is posted to OSM internal queue?
Also, in such scenario, should the design be that we write some custom web service which then calls the OSM update web service? (assuming JMS queue cannot be used).
