Currency Translation for Key Figures with Value More Than One Currency

Hi...
I have query which display key figure GL Account Balance. The currency that used for this key figure is USD and IDR. How we want display value based on selection screen? So if we input currency USD, all value that use currency IDR translated to USD and all value that use currency USD not changed. Otherwise if we input IDR, all value that use currency USD translated to IDR and all value that use currency IDR not changed.
How we do this in query designer? Thank you.
I have use currency translation :
1. (Right Click Key Figures >> Properties >> Currency Conversion Key)
2. Target Currency Using Variables Entry
but seems the result is not correct. Can anyone help me ?

Thanks for your help, but still I have problem. I have create one currency conversion type, ZXXX. This currency conversion type is using exchange rate type = "M",source curr from Data Rec, sel of targ currency with translation,
and fixed time ref = "Current Date".
Problem:
1. With this setting, i create currency translation in BEx, but the result is not same, it's like the exchange rate not using the same setting with data in ECC (I compare data with transaction fs10N). Is my setting for exchange rate not correct?
2. When I try to display GL Account Balance --> Calculated Key Figure (Total Debet - Total Credit) for period 0, the translation not working. Example if the value is IDR 1234 then the value in USD still USD 1234. Why this happen?

i want to do currency translation for key figure(invoice value in local currency).
i have followed the steps as under:
1st Transferring Global Table Contents: Currencies from R/3 Systems
2nd than transfer exchange rate - from r/3 to bi
3 than In SPRO settings of BW there is option "consider translation ratios in translation"
4th than used transaction RSCUR for creating currency translation type: parameter(exchange rate:m, soure currency fom data records, target currency ISK, time ref: current date)
5th than in BEX query designer have sated this for key figure
but when i run query in RSRT, curreny amount not getting convert?
am i missing any step?

Hi Dushyant,
Are these steps followed in Query designer??
In the Query designer, for that particular key figure property, under Conversion tab >> Currency Translation >> Conversion Type, select the currency translation type you created in RSCUR.
And in the target currency, select accordingly.

Updating JournalEntries object with more than one currency fails

I'm using SBO 6.50 (exactly CEE version 7.60.014 SP:01 EF:08).
   I'm trying to update memo field of existing journal entries. Most of them works OK, but if I try to update entry with more than one currency, update fails with an error code -5002 and message:
   Transaction includes more than one currency [OCRN].
Code (in C++) is quite simple:

What's wrong? Using multiple currencies in journal entry is correct, it is possible to add them manually so it should be possible to update such an "safe" field as Memo is.

I have the same problem, but if you go to Administration->System Initialization ->Document Settings, select "Per Document", and in Document, choose "Journal Entry", by default, the options are clicked, or "Blocked", this is why in DI yoy get this message.
Try to unchecked and it will work.

Problem with Assigning more than one value to GROUP dynamically

Hi,
I have a problem with assigning more than one value to GROUP varible dynamically.
I am able to assign only one value dynamically through Initialization block
I have even tried with the ROW-WISE initialization blocks..
using this query..
SELECT 'GROUP', G.GROUP_NAME
FROM GROUP_MAP G
WHERE G.USER_NAME = ':USER'
if GROUP_1, GROUP_2 are two groups to be associated,
through this, i'm getting " GROUP_1;GROUP_2 " into GROUP variable ( seen from Narative view )
And the properties and securities of this Groups are not inherited.
Please let me know if there is any other way to Populate the GROUP variable dynamically with more than one value.

i finally got in this way..
i had created a function which takes USER_NAME as input and returns a string that contains the GROUP names with semicolon delimeted..
Though it is same as that of ROW-WISE initialization,
the properties of those groups are also being inherited..
Now, i can assign more than one groups and its properties to a user dynamically.

Problem with printing more than one page (ghostscript broken?)

since one of the last package updates I have problems with printing more than one page. The print problems occurs as well with pdf files as well with printing websites. I use an actual KDE system with commercial turboprint printer driver. The first page always prints fine, but all consecutive pages are corrupted. As from a similar problem some months ago, I assume a broken ghostscript package. I tried to downgrade ghostscript to check that, but I get depency problems:

This may not be related but I had a problem printing a pdf today whereby the second page got corrupted. The same pdf had printed fine several months ago. I realised that (long story) for some reason I had switched drivers (HP printer) from hpijs to hpcups. I installed the printer again as a "new" printer using the hpijs driver and it printed properly this time.
So it may be that the bug causes issues with some drivers. You could try an alternative driver for the printer as temporary workaround?

As Frank pointed out already hierarhical most often means a tree (data structure) to deal with.
There must usually be just one boss (the root) in which case the answer is no.

Problem with starting more than one SwingWorker

I wonder if anyone could tell me if there are known problems with starting more than one SwingWorker thread at once?
In response to an action the user performs, I need to obtain several lists of things from the server. This includes a couple of server-calls, and I want to do the server calls in a thread outside the awt-event thread. So I start a couple of SwingWorker-threads. This works fine sometimes, but not always. Sometimes code in some of the SwingWorkers finished method does not update the ui. I can see that the correct calls are made, but the ui is still not updated correctly. The problem seems to be related to the sequence of when the different thread are finished. For instance, if the sequence is like this:
SwingWorker1.construct
SwingWorker2.construct
SwingWorker1.finished
SwingWorker2.finished
Things go fine, but if the sequence is:
SwingWorker1.construct
SwingWorker1.finished
SwingWorker2.construct
SwingWorker2.finished
the ui-updates in SwingWorker1.finished is not done correctly.
Can anyone help me with this?

This is the point:
In one SwingWorker thread you have 1 construct method, and 1 finish method - which are both invoked once.
Therefore you only have one opportunity to update the gui in that thread. This forces you to use many threads if you want regular updates, which I try to avoid.
Therefore, the solution!
Have a loop in the construct method that executes the algorithm accordingly, updating the gui accordingly at regular times, maintaining just the 1 thread - becomes easier and nicer for the programmer and the JVM.
The finish method in this case is to update the gui when all iterations are finished.
There is nothing wrong with this. Just because you have a finish method that is called in the event-dispatching thread doesn't mean that all your update code must be in there.
What you MUST ensure is that ALL your update code is executed in the event-dispatching thread, that is the most important thing. After all, SwingWorker is just a helper class, not the gospel template of how to update a gui.

You can neither merge or delete them. Pick one and stop using the other. If they both have purchases associated with them you will have to keep using both.

How to input more than one currency field into the transfer rules?

how to input more than one currency as well as unit fields in transfer rules, when i am giving two currency fields in flatfile the same structure could not able to get in transfer rules ( 0currency).

For example - for amount kf - if you have 0currency as ref object and included in transfer rules and for other kf - create a Zcurr object and try to include...hope it works.

Set parameter id for select-options to fill more than one value

FROM MY CUSTOM PROGRAM I AM CALLING A TRANSACTION CODE. IN MY REPORT I WANT TO SELECT MORE THAN ONE RECORD AND TO CALL THE TRANSACTION BY PASSING THE SELECTED VALUES TO THE SELECT-OPTIONS OF THE TRANSACTION.
IF IT IS A PARAMETER I CAN WRITE SET PARAMETER STATEMENT FOR ONE VALUE AND EASILY CALL THE TRANSACTION. BUT I WANT TO FILL THE SELECT-OPTIONS OF THE TCODE.
CAN ANYBODY PLEASE PROVIDE ME THE LOGIC HOW TO FILL THE SELECT-OPTIONS FROM MY REPORT FOR CALLING THE TRANSACTION.

Call the Report directly using:
(First declare the Ranges)
ranges : R_matnr for mara-matnr.
(Fill the values into Ranges Table and call the report )
SUBMIT <REPORT>
With s_matnr in R_matnr.

Hi Riaz,
SAP Business One allows Multi currency option. This setting has to be done in the initial setup of Business One. Go to Administration > System Initialization > Company Details and in Default Account currecy slect the option Multi Currency.
Now in Administration > Setup > Financial > Currencies > Define the swiss frank currency.Then in Business Partner Master Data in the currency Option choose Multi Currency.
Now when you make an transaction and choose the BP in which Multi currency option is enabled choose BP currency below the customer ref no.

Is their any BAPI with help of which i can transfer More than one serial Number against a single PO.
We are having scenario where material is transfer from one client say XYZ to another client ABC.
Now here the serialised material is transfer angainst diffrent POs with the help of I-Doc from one client to another using movement type 501.
so please help me .Suggest BAPI with the help of wich i can transfer more than one serial number against one PO.

Already this BAPI (BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE) has a structure to handle multiple serial number (BAPI2017_GM_SERIALNUMBER).
Example of working :
Assume if you have two materials with Qty 2 each ..
You need to enter Item 1 , Serial 1 and next line item 1 , serial 2 after that item 2 , serial 1 and item 2 , serial 2 ..
Do not sort this table , as system take the serial number base on quantity from qty line..
What's the issue you are facing ?

SAP provided workflow for time sheet approval using CAT2 transaction . Currently it is sending mail only a single employee's manager(while Time admin is submiting the time sheet of more than one employee) .
But i need to send mail (work Item) to managers of all the employees .
Please suggest some way to achieve this requirment .

Info cube key figure quantity is more than the data source

Hi,
I am loading data from a custom table data source into an info cube. The data records and key figure quantity of the info cube is more than the data source custom table.
I checked the extraction in RSA3. The number of records records and key figure quantity are exactly extracted from the data source in RSA3 transaction.
But after loading using the info package, the number of records and the key figure quantity of the info cube is more than the actual records available in the data source. The update rule is simple 1 to 1 mapping.
Kindly help to troubleshoot this issue.

Hi,
There could be some other data already avilable in the Infocube. Pls take the Request ID or Number from the last run of the Infopackage you used and check the records only for that Request ID in Infocube.
You can check the data in the LISTCUBE Transaction.
